Abstract
The useful solution refers to a multi-layered ecological embankment protecting riverbanks or canals according to tidal elevation. The embankment is arranged in relation to the peak tidal water level at the beginning of the dry season (1), the natural bank slope (6) and the natural bank crest (8), including a row of piles (3), a pile head connecting part or pile head beam block (2), an embankment layer (4), an embankment slope surface (5) and an aquatic plant area to reduce waves (7).The pile row (3) is arranged 2.0 m to 3.0 m from the sloping natural bank (6); the top of the pile row or the pile top connecting part or the pile top beam block is higher than the peak tide level of the dry season (1) from 0.2 m to 0.3 m; the sloping surface of the embankment layer (5) has a slope of 5% to 10%, gradually increasing from the pile row (3) towards the sloping natural bank (6), in which the highest area of the sloping surface of the embankment layer (5) is lower than the peak tide level of the dry season (1) from 0.1 m to 0.2 m; the wave-reducing aquatic plant area (7) is arranged outside the pile row (3), 1.0 m to 2.0 m from the pile row and located at or near the peak tide level of the dry season (1) to reduce surface waves. This structure helps reduce wave action, retain sediment, create natural deposition, maintain moisture in the embankment, increase bank slope stability, and facilitate the recovery of coastal vegetation.
