[0003] "CRYPTO SPELLS", [online], CryptoGames Inc., [searched November 29, 2022], Internet <URL: https: / / cryptospells.jp / >
[0004] In the game of Non-Patent Document 1, non-fungible tokens (hereinafter also referred to as NFTs) related to in-game content can be put up for sale on the in-game market, but for example, NFTs with low rarity are not popular and are not traded, so users are unable to dispose of them.
[0005] It is an object of at least one embodiment of the present invention to provide a new gaming system that uses non-fungible tokens.
[0006] In a non-limiting aspect, the video game processing program of the present invention is a video game processing program for causing a server device in a game system having a terminal device operated by a user and a server device connected to the terminal device via a communication network to control a video game including one or more contents used in the video game, and causes the server device to function as: a first sale request accepting means for accepting a first sale request at a first exchange for non-fungible tokens related to the content based on a first sale instruction from the user; a withdrawal request accepting means for accepting a request to withdraw the first sale request based on an instruction from the user to withdraw the first sale request; a second sale request accepting means for accepting a second sale request at a second exchange for the non-fungible tokens based on a second sale instruction from the user; and an object granting means for granting an object that can be used in the video game when a sale transaction at the second exchange is completed.
[0007] In a non-limiting aspect, the server device of the present invention is a server device in a game system that includes a terminal device operated by a user and a server device connected to the terminal device via a communication network, and that runs a video game including one or more contents used in the video game, wherein the server device is equipped with a first sale request receiving means that receives a first sale request at a first exchange for non-fungible tokens related to the content based on a first sale instruction from the user, a withdrawal request receiving means that receives a request to withdraw the first sale request based on an instruction to withdraw the first sale request from the user, a second sale request receiving means that receives a second sale request at a second exchange for the non-fungible tokens based on a second sale instruction from the user, and an object granting means that grants an object that can be used in the video game when a sale transaction at the second exchange is completed.
[0008] According to a non-limiting aspect, the game system of the present invention is a game system that includes a terminal device operated by a user and a server device connected to the terminal device via a communication network, and that runs a video game including one or more contents used in the video game, wherein the game system includes: a first sale request receiving means that receives a first sale request at a first exchange for non-fungible tokens related to the content based on a first sale instruction from the user; a withdrawal request receiving means that receives a request to withdraw the first sale request based on an instruction to withdraw the first sale request from the user; a second sale request receiving means that receives a second sale request at a second exchange for the non-fungible tokens based on a second sale instruction from the user; and an object granting means that grants an object that can be used in the video game when a sale transaction at the second exchange is completed.
[0009] According to a non-limiting aspect, the video game control method of the present invention is a video game control method for controlling a video game including one or more contents used in the video game in a server device in a game system including a terminal device operated by a user and a server device connected to the terminal device via a communication network, the video game control method comprising the steps of: accepting a first sale request at a first exchange for non-fungible tokens related to the content based on a first sale instruction from the user; accepting a request to withdraw the first sale request based on an instruction to withdraw the first sale request from the user; accepting a second sale request at a second exchange for the non-fungible tokens based on a second sale instruction from the user; and, when a sale transaction is concluded at the second exchange, granting an object usable in the video game.
[0010] Each embodiment of the present invention addresses one or more of the deficiencies.

[0012] Hereinafter, examples of embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following description of the effects is one aspect of the effects of the embodiments of the present invention, and is not limited to those described here. Furthermore, the content described as an example of one embodiment may be omitted in other embodiments. Furthermore, the description of operations and processes unrelated to the characteristic parts of each embodiment may be omitted. The order of each process constituting the flowcharts described below is random as long as no contradictions or inconsistencies occur in the process content.
[0013] [First Embodiment] An overview of a first embodiment of the present invention will be described below. The first embodiment will be described below by taking as an example a game system including a terminal device operated by a user and a server device connected to the terminal device via a communication network. The game system executes a video game including one or more pieces of content used in the video game. The terminal device and / or the server device may be connectable to each other via communication. The server device and / or the terminal device may be connectable to a distributed ledger network.
[0014] 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a server device according to at least one embodiment of the present invention. The server device 10 may include at least a first sale request receiving unit 101, a withdrawal request receiving unit 102, a second sale request receiving unit 103, and an object assigning unit 104.
[0015] The first selling request receiving unit 101 has a function of receiving a first selling request for non-fungible tokens related to the content at a first exchange based on a first selling instruction from a user. The withdrawal request receiving unit 102 has a function of receiving a withdrawal request for the first selling request based on a first selling request withdrawal instruction from a user.
[0016] The second selling request receiving unit 103 has a function of receiving a second selling request for the non-fungible token at a second exchange based on a second selling instruction from a user. The object granting unit 104 has a function of granting an object that can be used in the video game when a selling transaction at the second exchange is completed.
[0017] 2 is a flowchart of a program execution process corresponding to at least one embodiment of the present invention. The server device 10 may perform various processes based on instructions from a user. The server device 10 accepts a first sale request for non-fungible tokens related to the content on a first exchange based on a first sale instruction from the user (step S1), and then terminates the process.
[0018] The server device 10 accepts a request to withdraw the first sale request based on the instruction to withdraw the first sale request from the user (step S2), and then ends the process.
[0019] The server device 10 receives a second sale request for the non-fungible tokens at the second exchange based on the second sale instruction from the user (step S3). Next, if the sale transaction at the second exchange is completed, the server device 10 grants an object that can be used in the video game (step S4), and ends the process.
[0020] The first selling request receiving unit 101, the withdrawal request receiving unit 102, and the second selling request receiving unit 103 are each executed independently based on user instructions. Although the figure shows the process ending each time, this is not limited to this. For example, after receiving the first selling request, the process of accepting withdrawal requests may be executed continuously.
[0021] As one aspect of the first embodiment, a new game system using non-fungible tokens can be provided.
[0022] In the first embodiment, the term "terminal device" refers to, for example, a stationary game console, a portable game console, a wearable terminal, a desktop or notebook personal computer, a tablet computer, a PDA, or a portable terminal such as a smartphone equipped with a touch panel sensor on the display screen. The term "server device" refers to, for example, a device that executes processing in response to a request from a terminal device.
[0023] In the first embodiment, "content" refers to, for example, electronic content realized by a program, and more specifically, images, videos, and websites that allow user interaction related to the game. "Exchange" refers to, for example, a place where transactions can be made based on user operation instructions. Trading partners include, for example, other users, computer-controlled non-player characters, and AI characters, and are not limited to those with whom trading is possible.
[0024] In the first embodiment, an "object" refers to, for example, electronic content that can be used in a game, and more specifically, includes items, in-game currency, and things that can change the attributes of the content. "Granting" refers to, for example, making something into the possession of the user, regardless of whether it is paid for or free of charge.
[0025] [Second Embodiment] An overview of a second embodiment of the present invention will be described below. The second embodiment will be described below by taking as an example a game system including a terminal device operated by a user and a server device connected to the terminal device via a communication network. The game system executes a video game including one or more pieces of content used in the video game. The terminal device and / or the server device may be connectable to each other via communication. The server device and / or the terminal device may be connectable to a distributed ledger network.
[0026] [Game Overview] An overview of a game according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. The game is preferably one in which in-game currency circulated only within the game and non-fungible tokens (hereinafter also referred to as NFTs) circulated outside the game can be used. For example, a game in which characters and items given to users can be managed as non-fungible tokens is more preferable. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this game and extends to a scope that can be applied by a person skilled in the art based on the present disclosure.
[0027] An example of a game is a game in which items are acquired by sending game characters into dungeons. The acquired items can be used to enter a lottery to acquire characters. In-game currency can be used to level up game characters and in-game buildings. In-game currency can be acquired by sending characters to dungeons, login bonuses, purchasing from a shop, progressing through the story, or by selling NFTs on a secondary exchange, as described below.
[0028] 3 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a game system corresponding to at least one embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the game system (system) 1 includes a server device 10, a communication network 20, terminal devices 30 (30A, 30B, ..., 30N: N is a natural number) used by each of multiple users (players) who play a video game (game), and a distributed ledger network (also called a blockchain network) 40 connected to enable the contents of the distributed ledger to be shared.
[0029] The configuration of the game system 1 is not limited to this, and for example, the server device 10 may be composed of multiple server devices, or may be composed of a virtual server device using cloud computing technology.
[0030] The server device 10 and the terminal device 30 are connected to each other so that they can communicate with each other. The terminal device 30 and the server device 10 do not need to be connected to each other all the time, but may be connected to each other as needed.
[0031] The game system 1 in the present disclosure may include a first exchange and a second exchange. The exchange is assumed to be a place where electronic transactions can be performed. The following provides a limited description of each exchange for the sake of simplicity and clarity of the disclosure, but please note that the contents of the present disclosure are not limited to these descriptions and may be modified as appropriate within a consistent scope.
[0032] In the game system 1 of the present disclosure, the first exchange may be, for example, a place where NFTs can be traded and, when sold, displayed for purchase by others. That is, the NFTs remain displayed at the first exchange as long as no purchase requests are made by others. Furthermore, if no purchase requests are made for a predetermined period of time, the server device managing the first exchange may automatically remove the NFTs from display.
[0033] The second exchange may be, for example, a place where in-game objects can be purchased and NFTs can be sold. Unlike the first exchange, the second exchange may not employ a listing format, but may instead immediately execute a selling process in response to a selling instruction.
[0034] In other words, NFTs may be available for purchase on the first exchange but not on the second exchange. Also, in-game objects traded on the second exchange may be sold on the first exchange. These details can be modified as appropriate by those skilled in the art.
[0035] [Server Device] The server device 10 includes, as an example, at least a control unit, RAM, storage unit, and communication interface, all of which are connected via an internal bus. The control unit may include an internal timer. The communication interface may also be used to synchronize with an external server, thereby obtaining the actual time.
[0036] The server device 10 can provide various electronic services to users, not limited to games. In the following description, it will be referred to as a server device, but the design may be modified as appropriate to deploy multiple server devices depending on the content of the services to be provided.
[0037] [Communication Network] The communication network 20 may be, for example, the Internet or a LAN, as long as communication between connected devices is possible.
[0038] [Terminal Device] The terminal device 30 includes, for example, a control unit, RAM, storage unit, sound processing unit, graphics processing unit, communication interface, and interface unit, all of which are connected via an internal bus. The graphics processing unit is connected to a display unit. The display unit may have a display screen and a touch input unit that accepts input when the user touches the display unit.
[0039] The touch input unit may be capable of detecting the position of contact using any method, such as a resistive film method used in touch panels, a capacitive method, an ultrasonic surface acoustic wave method, an optical method, or an electromagnetic induction method, as long as it can recognize a user's touch operation. The touch input unit is a device that can detect the position of a finger or a stylus when the top surface of the touch input unit is pressed or moved with a finger or a stylus.
[0040] An external memory (e.g., an SD card) can be connected to the interface unit. Data read from the external memory is loaded into RAM, and arithmetic processing is performed by the control unit. The communication interface can be connected to a communication network wirelessly or via a wire, and can receive data via the communication network. Data received via the communication interface is loaded into RAM, just like data read from the external memory, and arithmetic processing is performed by the control unit.
[0041] The terminal device 30 may include a sensor such as a proximity sensor, an infrared sensor, a gyro sensor, or an acceleration sensor. The terminal device 30 may also include an imaging unit that has a lens and captures images through the lens. Furthermore, the terminal device 30 may be a terminal device that can be attached to the body (wearable).
[0042] [Distributed Ledger Network] The distributed ledger network 40 may include multiple nodes 45, such as computer devices, that store a distributed ledger in a storage device. Nodes 45A-45D are shown in the figure as an example, but the number of nodes is not limited to four.
[0043] The node computers 45A to 45D manage the distributed ledger using blockchain technology. For example, the node computer 45A acquires data related to token transactions to be recorded. The node computer 45A creates a block containing the acquired data and adds it to the blockchain. The node computer 45A sends information about the added block to the node computers 45B to 45D. The node computers 45B to 45D verify the accuracy of the received block. If the verification is successful, the node computers 45B to 45D add the block to the blockchain. The node computers 45A to 45D finalize the blockchain, for example, based on the number of linked blocks (number of approvals). As a result, the same distributed ledger is stored across the multiple node computers 45A to 45D that make up the distributed ledger network 40. The stored data is encrypted as appropriate.
[0044] The hardware configuration of the node computers 45A to 45D may be the same as or similar to the hardware configuration of the terminal device 30 or the hardware configuration of the server device 10, and therefore detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0045] In the distributed ledger network 40, data units called blocks are generated and linked together like a chain to form a blockchain. The same distributed ledger is stored in each node, ensuring information security. The server device 10 and / or the terminal device 30 may be communicatively connected to the distributed ledger network 40. The server device 10 and / or the terminal device 30 may function as a node included in the distributed ledger network 40.
[0046] The distributed ledger network 40 allows for token trading. For example, an existing platform such as Ethereum may be adopted as the distributed ledger network 40. The distributed ledger network 40 may also have the functionality of a marketplace where NFTs can be issued (generated, minted) and traded. Note that these blockchain technologies are common configurations and therefore will not be described in detail.
[0047] [Functional Description] The following describes the functions of the game system 1 in the second embodiment. Fig. 4 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a game system corresponding to at least one of the embodiments of the present invention.
[0048] The game system 1 may include a game progression unit 201, a first purchase request receiving unit 202, a first purchase processing unit 203, a first sale request receiving unit 204, an exhibition processing unit 205, a purchase request presence / absence determination unit 206, a first sale processing unit 207, a withdrawal request receiving unit 208, an exhibition withdrawal processing unit 209, a second purchase request receiving unit 210, a second purchase processing unit 211, a second sale request receiving unit 212, a second sale processing unit 213, and an object assignment unit 214.
[0049] The game progression unit 201 has a function of progressing a video game. The first purchase request receiving unit 202 has a function of receiving a first purchase request at a first exchange for non-fungible tokens related to the content based on a first purchase instruction from a user. The first purchase processing unit 203 has a function of executing processing to purchase non-fungible tokens based on the purchase request received by the first purchase request receiving unit 202.
[0050] The first sale request receiving unit 204 has a function of receiving a first sale request for a non-fungible token related to the content at a first exchange based on a first sale instruction from a user. The listing processing unit 205 has a function of listing the non-fungible token to be sold at the first exchange based on the sale request received by the first sale request receiving unit 204. At this time, a transaction for the non-fungible token may be issued, and the date and time of listing, the listing price, etc. may be recorded.
[0051] The purchase request presence / absence determination unit 206 has a function of determining whether or not there is a purchase request for the put up non-fungible token. The first selling processing unit 207 has a function of executing processing including the transfer of ownership of the put up non-fungible token and the receipt of consideration when a purchase is made for the put up non-fungible token.
[0052] The withdrawal request receiving unit 208 has a function of receiving a request to withdraw the first selling request based on a first selling request withdrawal instruction from a user. The listing withdrawal processing unit 209 has a function of withdrawing the non-fungible tokens that have been listed on the first exchange based on the selling withdrawal request received by the withdrawal request receiving unit 208. At this time, a transaction for the non-fungible token may be issued and the fact that it has been canceled may be recorded.
[0053] The second purchase request receiving unit 210 has a function of receiving a second purchase request at the second exchange based on a second purchase instruction from a user. The second purchase processing unit 211 has a function of executing a process to purchase at the second exchange based on the purchase request received by the second purchase request receiving unit 210.
[0054] The second sale request receiving unit 212 has a function of receiving a second sale request for the non-fungible token at the second exchange based on a second sale instruction from a user. The second sale processing unit 213 has a function of executing a sale process for the non-fungible token based on the sale request received by the second sale request receiving unit 212. The object granting unit 214 has a function of granting an object that can be used in the video game when a sale transaction at the second exchange is completed.
[0055] [Execution Process] Next, the execution process in the second embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 5 is a flowchart of the execution process corresponding to at least one of the embodiments of the present invention. In Fig. 5, the server device is shown divided into separate servers for each exchange for ease of understanding. Note that this does not preclude implementation on a single server device.
[0056] The terminal device 30 accepts operation instructions from a user. The operation instructions may include at least a first purchase instruction to purchase at a first exchange, a first sell instruction to sell at the first exchange, a second purchase instruction to purchase at a second exchange, a second sell instruction to sell at the second exchange, and a first sell request withdrawal instruction to withdraw a sell request issued at the first exchange.
[0057] [First Purchase Instruction] When the terminal device 30 receives the first purchase instruction, the server device 10 receives a first purchase request (step SA1). Next, the server device 10 executes a first purchase process based on the received first purchase request (step SA2) and ends the process.
[0058] As previously exemplified, the first exchange is a place where NFTs can be traded and displayed for purchase by others when sold. A user browses the displayed NFTs, specifies the NFT they wish to purchase, and issues a purchase instruction. In the first purchase process, a procedure is carried out to purchase the specified NFT, and the user is recorded as the owner of the NFT in the distributed ledger of the distributed ledger network.
[0059] [First Selling Instruction] When the terminal device 30 receives a first selling instruction, the server device 10 receives a first selling request (step SB1). Next, the server device 10 executes a listing process based on the received first selling request (step SB2). The first selling request preferably includes information about a pre-selected NFT that the user wants to sell from among the NFTs held by the user.
[0060] The listing process refers to the server device 10 listing the NFTs to be sold on the first exchange based on the received first sale request. In other words, the NFTs are displayed in a manner that allows third parties to purchase them. At this time, information indicating that the NFTs have been listed may be stored in the distributed ledger of the distributed ledger network. At this time, the server device 10 may also collect a listing fee (commonly referred to as a gas fee) from the user.
[0061] Next, the server device 10 determines whether or not a third party has made a purchase request for the put-up NFT (step SB3). If a purchase request has been made (YES in step SB3), the server device 10 executes a first selling process (step SB4) and ends the process.
[0062] The first selling process performs a process of disassociating the NFT to be sold from the user. For example, this can be realized by a process of transferring ownership of the NFT to be sold to the purchasing user who made the purchase request. Furthermore, a process of receiving payment for the transfer from the purchasing user and transferring it to the selling user is performed. At this time, the server device 10 may transfer the amount minus a sales commission (commonly referred to as a gas fee) to the selling user. The payment for the transfer at this time is preferably virtual currency or the like that can be used outside the game.
[0063] If there is no purchase request (NO in step SB3), the server device 10 continues to list the NFT. The listing may continue unless there is a withdrawal request from the selling user, or the server device 10 may withdraw the listing of the NFT if there is no purchase request for a predetermined period of time.
[0064] [Second Purchase Instruction] When the terminal device 30 receives the second purchase instruction, the server device 10 receives a second purchase request (step SC1). Next, the server device 10 executes a second purchase process based on the received second purchase request (step SC2), and then ends the process.
[0065] As previously illustrated, the second exchange will be described as a place where in-game objects can be purchased and NFTs can be sold. Unlike the first exchange, the second exchange does not use a listing format and immediately executes a sale process in response to a selling instruction. However, using the listing format does not create any inconsistencies, and the second exchange may also use the listing format.
[0066] When the server device 10 executes the second purchase process, the server device 10 grants the purchased in-game object to the user. The types of in-game objects that can be purchased depend on the design of the video game, and therefore, a description thereof will be omitted here.
[0067] [Second Selling Instruction] When the terminal device 30 receives the second selling instruction, the server device 10 receives a second selling request (step SD1). Next, the server device 10 executes a second selling process based on the received second selling request (step SD2).
[0068] The second selling process disassociates the NFT to be sold from the user who attempted to sell it. For example, the process transfers ownership of the NFT to be sold to the server device 10. After that, after a predetermined waiting period, the sold NFT is made unusable.
[0069] For example, an NFT can be rendered unusable by transferring it to a predetermined burn address in a distributed ledger network. Alternatively, a flag indicating whether the NFT is usable may be stored in the metadata of the NFT, and the NFT may be rendered unusable by setting the flag to a value indicating unusable (e.g., FALSE). Alternatively, a distributed ledger that manages usable and / or unusable NFTs may be managed in the distributed ledger network, and the NFT may be managed as unusable instead of being discarded.
[0070] Next, the server device 10 grants an in-game object in exchange for the sold NFT (step SD3), and the process ends. The in-game object may be, for example, in-game currency or an item that can be used in the game. It is preferable that the granted in-game object has the effect of allowing the player to advance through the video game advantageously.
[0071] [First Selling Request Withdrawal Instruction] When the terminal device 30 receives the first selling request withdrawal instruction, the server device 10 receives the withdrawal request (step SE1). Next, the server device 10 executes a commodity withdrawal process based on the received withdrawal request (step SE2) and ends the process. The first selling request withdrawal instruction preferably includes information on a pre-selected item that the user wants to sell from among the NFTs held by the user.
[0072] The listing withdrawal process preferably checks whether the NFTs to be sold included in the first sale request withdrawal instruction are currently being offered for sale. If the NFTs to be sold are currently being offered for sale, the listing is withdrawn. At this time, the fact that the listing has been canceled may be recorded in the distributed ledger of the distributed ledger network.
[0073] In the second embodiment, the second sale request receiving unit 212 preferably receives the second sale request regardless of whether there is withdrawal history information stored when the sale request is withdrawn by the withdrawal request receiving unit 208. Alternatively, the in-game objects to be granted in the object granting process after the second sale process may be controlled to change depending on the number of withdrawal history information items.
[0074] In the second embodiment, a first exchange and a second exchange exist within the game system. The first exchange allows users to sell NFTs by listing them, while the second exchange allows users to sell NFTs without listing them and acquire in-game objects. This provides users with the option of disposing of their NFTs. That is, if users want to progress in the game, they can sell NFTs on the second exchange and acquire in-game objects to strengthen their characters. On the other hand, if users want to acquire virtual currency or other items that can be used outside the game, they can list and trade NFTs on the first exchange. This provides users with a degree of freedom and enhances the game's appeal.
[0075] In the second embodiment, it is preferable that NFTs that can be used in the game can be purchased at a first exchange within the game system. In this way, a user who wants to progress further in the game can purchase NFTs at the first exchange and sell NFTs at the second exchange to acquire in-game objects, thereby enabling the user to progress more advantageously in the game and enhancing the game's appeal.
[0076] In the second embodiment, the server device 10 is provided with a token quantity management function for managing the quantity of non-fungible tokens related to the object existing in the distributed ledger network, and a price fluctuation function for fluctuating the price of the non-fungible tokens on the first exchange based on the token quantity, which allows a user to reduce the amount of expenditure depending on the timing of purchasing NFTs when they wish to advance in the game advantageously. This allows for more ways to enjoy the game and improves user satisfaction.
[0077] In the second embodiment, the server device 10 executes the processing related to the buying and selling of NFTs, but this is not limiting. For example, a separate server device dedicated to NFT transactions, connected to the distributed ledger network, may be designed to conduct transactions under control of the server device 10. The design of the processing related to transactions may be modified to the extent feasible.
[0078] As an example of a condition for starting the game in the second embodiment, a user may be required to be in a state where they can trade NFTs in advance. For example, a requirement may be that a user has an account (bank account, wallet) on the distributed ledger network when starting the game. Alternatively, the game may be designed to verify the account when awarding rewards.
[0079] As one aspect of the second embodiment, a new game system using non-fungible tokens can be provided.
[0080] As one aspect of the second embodiment, the second sale request receiving means accepts a second sale request regardless of whether there is historical information of a sale request being withdrawn by the withdrawal request receiving means, thereby increasing the user's sale options and enhancing the fun of the game.
[0081] As one aspect of the second embodiment, when a sale transaction is completed on the second exchange, the object granting means disassociates the user from the non-fungible token and grants an object that can be used in the video game, allowing the user to dispose of NFTs that cannot be disposed of even if put up for sale at their own will, thereby making the gaming environment more comfortable for the user.
[0082] As one aspect of the second embodiment, the objects that are granted have the effect of giving users an advantage in the video game, allowing them to choose how to use the NFTs they hold, which helps maintain their motivation to play the game.
[0083] In the second embodiment, the terms "terminal device," "server device," "content," "exchange," "object," and "grant" may adopt the same terms as those described in the first embodiment to the extent necessary.
