The invention relates to a locking device (30) for a telescopic boom (12), in particular of a mobile crane (1), comprising an actuator (32) for generating an actuating force, a driver (36) which is configured to be reversibly coupled to an associated locking bolt (52) held on a boom extension (18) of the telescopic boom (12) during a telescoping movement of the telescopic boom (12) and to be moved between at least one locking position (64) and a release position (78) under the influence of the actuating force to adjust the locking bolt (52), at least one driver bolt (38) which is configured to be moved reversibly between a drive position (80) engaging an inner boom extension (18) and an idle position (82) not engaging a boom extension (18) under the influence of the actuating force, and an actuating cam (40).which is designed for the joint movement of the locking bolt (52) and the drive bolt (38), wherein a plane of movement of the actuating cam (40) is aligned perpendicular to the telescoping direction of the telescoping boom (12) in the intended assembly state.
