Device for driving livestock

Abstract

A device for driving livestock (1) along a driving path (2) of a cattle drive (3) is described, comprising side elements (4) that laterally enclose the cattle drive (3) and driving means arranged above the driving path (2) of the cattle drive (3) that are movable back and forth along the driving path (2). The driving means are movable between an exit position and an entry position. In order to create advantageous driving conditions for the livestock, it is proposed that the driving means be formed by cross connectors (5) which engage at both ends on traction means (6) which are assigned to the side elements (4) on both sides of the livestock driving passage (3), running continuously parallel to the driving path, wherein the cross connectors (5) with the traction means (6) can be moved in the driving direction (7) into the expulsion position for driving livestock (1) out of the livestock driving passage (3) and against the driving direction (7) into the induction position for driving livestock (1) into the livestock driving passage (3).
