METHOD FOR PRODUCEING PROCESS STEAM

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for generating process steam, in particular highly saturated superheated process steam, and to an apparatus for carrying out the method for generating process steam. The method for generating process steam comprises the steps: a) granulating melt by adding water in a granulation chamber, producing granules and vapors; b) transferring the vapors from the granulation chamber to a vapor compressor via a vapor line; c) compressing the vapors in the vapor compressor to form process steam; d) discharging the process steam from the vapor compressor via a process steam line, characterized in that a portion of the process steam from the process steam line is returned to the vapor line via a return steam line, preferably continuously.
