METHOD FOR PRODUCEING PROCESS STEAM

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for generating process steam (PD), in particular highly saturated superheated process steam, and to an apparatus (1) for carrying out the method for generating process steam (PD). The method for generating process steam (PD) comprises the steps: a) granulating melt by adding water in a granulation chamber (2), producing granules (G) and vapors (B); b) transferring the vapors (B) from the granulation chamber (2) to a vapor compressor (3) via a vapor line (4); c) compressing the vapors (B) in the vapor compressor (3) to form process steam (PD); d) discharging the process steam (PD) from the vapor compressor (3) via a process steam line (5), characterized in that a portion of the process steam (PD) from the process steam line (5) is returned to the vapor line (4) via a return steam line (6), preferably continuously.
