Solid oxide cell module

Abstract

A solid oxide cell module is proposed, comprising several stacks of solid oxide cells (10), several distribution plates (16, 18, 20) arranged between the stacks of solid oxide cells (10), a metal housing (26) with six boundary walls (30) in which the stacks of solid oxide cells (10) and the distribution plates (16, 18, 20) are arranged one behind the other and clamped, and on which inlets and outlets (48, 50) are formed, as well as an insulating housing (62) surrounding the metal housing (26). To ensure sufficient strength even at high temperatures, it is proposed that a stiffening structure (64) be formed on at least one of the surfaces (66, 68) of the boundary walls (30) of the metal housing (26) on all surfaces that are subject to critical creep stress.
