A motor control unit (100) for an electric vehicle, comprising: a printed circuit board (PCB) (120) having a plurality of switching devices (250); a heat transfer assembly (150) configured to absorb heat generated by the plurality of switching devices (250); wherein the heat transfer assembly (150) comprises a plurality of thermal absorption blocks (300), each thermal absorption block (300) being spaced apart from one another and positioned to thermally contact a corresponding switching device (250) to absorb the heat generated by the switching devices.
