Description

[0001] The invention relates to a component for or for producing a composite glass pane, a composite glass pane equipped with the component and a method for producing a composite glass pane by using the component.

[0002] Vehicle glass panes, in particular windshield panes, are increasingly equipped with electrical functional elements. Windshield panes are designed as composite glass panes and consist of two vitreous glass panes which are joined to one another by a thermoplastic film. The electrical functional elements can be laminated into the composite glass pane, i.e. arranged between the two vitreous glass panes (internal functional elements), or mounted on the outer surface of the composite glass pane (external functional elements). Examples of internal functional elements are light sensors for automatic control of vehicle lighting, capacitive rain sensors for automatic control of windshield wipers or inwardly pointing LEDs as display elements. Examples of external functional elements are air humidity or temperature sensors. Light sensors are described in, for example, EP2100722A2, WO2017097536A1 and WO2017097537A1, capacitive rain sensors are described in, for example, US4703237A, DE102006000215A1 and DE102009029602A1, integrated LEDs are described in, for example, WO2017203132A1, WO2018077546A1 and WO2018002723A1, and air humidity sensors are described in, for example, DE102011018485A1.

[0003] The integration of electrical functional elements makes the manufacture of vehicle glass panes significantly more complex. If a plurality of functional elements are to be integrated, each individual functional element must usually be arranged manually in a defined position. The electrical feed lines of the functional elements, which are usually designed as flat conductors, must be led out in a defined manner over the edge of the glass pane and then individually connected to the onboard electrical system.

[0004] The object of the present invention is to provide a component with electrical functional elements which simplifies the production of a composite glass pane, and a production method based thereon.

[0005] According to the invention, the object of the invention is achieved by the component according to the invention. Preferred embodiments emerge from the further description.

[0006] The component of the present invention is provided for or for the manufacture of a composite glass panel. The component is here in particular provided for mounting on a composite glass panel and / or being placed in a composite glass panel. The component of the present invention may also be referred to as a component for a composite glass panel, a component for a composite glass panel or a component for being fixed on and / or in a composite glass panel. The component comprises at least two electrical functional elements. Each functional element is electrically conductively connected to one or more electrical conductors, which are provided for and suitable for electrically contacting the functional element and are electrically connected to an external voltage source, a reference potential, an external evaluation electronic device, etc. In the sense of the present invention, the entirety of the electrical conductor and its insulating sheath is referred to as a cable.

[0007] According to the invention, the cable of the component has a section in which all electrical conductors of all functional elements are surrounded by a common insulating sheath. In the sense of the invention, this section is referred to as a bundled section. The section with the common sheath bundles all electrical feeders and the functional elements connected thereto, so that during production, only a single component has to be processed instead of a plurality of components (each of which comprises a functional element and its feeders). In particular, taking into account the glass pane thickness and the film thickness of the composite glass pane to be produced, the relative arrangement of the individual functional elements is selected so that if the component is positioned on the side edge of the composite glass pane to be produced, a defined positioning of the functional elements is produced more or less autonomously, without having to position each individual component in a complicated manner. The production of the composite glass pane is thus significantly simplified, which is regarded as a great advantage of the invention.

[0008] The composite glass pane to be produced is preferably a vehicle composite glass pane, particularly preferably a vehicle windshield pane, in particular a windshield pane of a motor vehicle, such as a passenger car, a truck or a rail vehicle. The invention can also be used for other vehicle glass panes, such as roof panes, side panes or rear panes, if they are designed as composite glass panes. Furthermore, the invention can be used for composite glass panes in other areas, such as construction, architecture or in the interior area.

[0009] The composite glass plate comprises a first and a second rigid glass plate, in particular a vitreous glass plate, which are bonded to each other by a thermoplastic interlayer. The thermoplastic interlayer is usually formed by at least one thermoplastic film. If the composite glass plate is set as a window glass plate, such as a vehicle windshield plate, and is therefore arranged to separate an interior (vehicle interior) from an external environment, the two rigid glass plates can be referred to as an outer glass plate and an inner glass plate. The inner glass plate refers to a glass plate facing the interior in the installation position. The outer glass plate refers to a glass plate facing the external environment in the installation position. The surface of each glass plate facing the external environment in the installation position is referred to as an outer surface. The surface of each glass plate facing the interior in the installation position is referred to as an interior side surface. The interior side surface of the outer glass plate is bonded to the outer surface of the inner glass plate by a thermoplastic interlayer. Usually, the outer surface of the outer glass plate is referred to as "face I", the interior side surface of the outer glass plate is referred to as "face II", the outer surface of the inner glass plate is referred to as "face III", and the interior side surface of the inner glass plate is referred to as "face IV".

[0010] Starting from the bundled section with a common insulating sheath of the component of the present invention, the feeders of the individual functional elements seem to branch. A section is directly connected to each functional element, in which one or more electrical conductors of the functional element are surrounded by their own insulating sheath, which does not surround the electrical conductors of the one or more remaining functional elements. In the sense of the present invention, these sections of the cable are called individual sections. These sections seem to merge into a bundled section with a common sheath, which bundles the functional elements and the feeders into a single component and fixes the mutual distances of the functional elements. The cable thus branches or spreads out from the bundled section in the direction of the functional elements, wherein the corresponding individual section is arranged directly in front of each functional element.

[0011] If the component comprises more than two functional elements, in an advantageous embodiment the feeders can be gradually merged into a bundle section with a common sheath or the feeders can be branched / dispersed from the bundle section starting from the lead. In this case, there is at least one section in which the electrical conductors of a plurality of, but not all, functional elements are combined together by a common sheath. In the sense of the invention, this section is referred to as a sub-bundle section of the cable. Starting from the bundle section, the individual sections of the functional elements first branch, while the feeders of the remaining functional elements in the sub-bundle section first continue to extend in the common insulating sheath and then branch into their individual sections. Starting from the bundle section, the cable thus branches into the individual sections of the functional elements and the sub-bundle sections of the remaining functional elements. In other words, individual sections of the functional element (in which one or more electrical conductors of the functional element are surrounded by their own insulating sheath, which does not surround the electrical conductors of the one or more remaining functional elements) and sub-bundle sections (in which the electrical conductors of the remaining functional elements are surrounded by a common insulating sheath) are connected to a bundle section (in which all electrical conductors are surrounded by a common insulating sheath).

[0012] The cable thus comprises a bundle section and an individual section for each functional element, wherein the individual section is connected to the bundle section directly or via a sub-bundle section.

[0013] Preferably, all functional elements and their respective electrical feeders are arranged on the same side of the segment with a common insulating sheath. If the component comprises at least three functional elements, there is exactly one possible way to spread the component out so that on the connecting lines between the bundled segments of all electrical conductors with a common insulating sheath and the functional elements, in particular the functional elements which are farthest away from them (i.e. the functional elements which have the longest feeders from the individual segments and possible sub-bundle segments), all individual segments of the remaining functional elements branch off from the same position. The functional elements can be numbered in the resulting sequence, starting from the functional element which forms the end point of the connecting lines. This sequence corresponds to the prescribed arrangement in the composite glass pane to be produced.

[0014] The component according to the invention preferably comprises at least one internal electrical functional element. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the component comprises at least one internal and at least one external electrical functional element. An internal functional element is understood to mean a functional element which is provided for embedding in a composite glass pane, i.e. to be arranged between the individual glass panes of the composite glass pane and laminated into the composite. An external functional element is understood to mean a functional element which is provided for external fastening to the composite glass pane, i.e. to be mounted on the surface of one of the individual glass panes remote from the intermediate layer. It is precisely this combination of external and internal functional elements that complicates the conventional production of composite glass panes, so that the invention exhibits its advantages in a particular way in this case.

[0015] If the component comprises at least three functional elements, in a preferred embodiment, the intermediate functional element or at least one of the intermediate functional elements according to the above numbering is designed as an electrical shielding element to avoid interference, coupling ("crosstalk") or other disturbances between external functional elements. The component preferably has at least two internal functional elements (including the shielding element) and at least one external functional element.

[0016] If the component comprises at least three functional elements, including one external and a plurality of internal functional elements, it is preferred that the individual segments of the external functional elements first branch off from the bundled segment with a common insulating sheath, while the feed lines of the internal functional elements first continue to extend in the sub-bundle segments with a common insulating sheath and then branch off into the corresponding individual segments. In other words, the individual segments of the external functional elements and the sub-bundle segments of the internal functional elements are connected to the bundled segment. The sequence according to the above numbering of the functional elements preferably corresponds to the arrangement of the functional elements in the composite glass pane to be produced in the direction from the outer glass pane to the inner glass pane, because the external functional elements are usually installed on the side surface of the interior. There, they are subjected to lower mechanical loads than on the outer side surface and can, for example, as a sensor, provide measured values about the state of the interior.

[0017] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the component comprises exactly three functional elements, namely one external functional element and two internal functional elements. According to the above numbering, the first functional element is an internal functional element and is arranged to be positioned in the outer glass pane closest to the composite glass pane, in particular between the outer glass pane and the thermoplastic interlayer. The second functional element is an internal functional element and is arranged to be positioned between the inner glass pane and the thermoplastic interlayer. The third functional element is an external functional element and is arranged to be mounted externally on the inner glass pane of the composite glass pane.

[0018] The internal functional elements are fixed in the composite glass pane by the intermediate layer, while the external functional elements must be fixed on the outside. In an advantageous embodiment, the external functional element and / or the individual section of the external functional element (in which one or more electrical conductors of the external electrical functional element are surrounded by their own insulating sheath, which does not surround the electrical conductors of the one or more other functional elements) are provided with adhesive. The adhesive can be designed, for example, as an adhesive material layer or a double-sided adhesive tape. The adhesive is arranged on the side of the feeder section facing the feeder of the at least one internal functional element.

[0019] All functional elements and their individual feeders are preferably arranged on the same side of a section with a common insulating sheath. On the other side of the section, the electrical conductor (more precisely, the end of the conductor away from the functional element) is preferably equipped with an electrical plug connector ("female" coupler or "male" plug) for connecting to an external electrical system, such as an on-board electrical system of a vehicle. One or more electrical conductors of the individual functional elements can be designed to have one or more plug connectors separately. However, in a particularly advantageous embodiment, the electrical conductors of all functional elements are connected to a common plug connector. This makes it particularly easy to electrically connect to an external electrical system. Of course, a temporary solution can also be conceived in which a part of the functional elements is equipped with a common plug connector, while other functional elements have their own plug connectors.

[0020] In a general sense, an electrical functional element is understood to mean any element which is provided for fastening in or on a composite glass pane and which can perform a function after electrical contact with an external electrical element, in particular a potential, voltage source or evaluation electronics. This is in particular a sensor, a transmitter or a receiver, in particular a transmitter or a receiver of electromagnetic radiation or sound waves, or an electrical shielding element. The functional element is preferably a rain sensor, a light sensor, a humidity sensor, a temperature sensor, a switching field, a light-emitting diode, an image sensor, an antenna, a display, a heating element, an ultrasonic sensor or an electrical shielding element.

[0021] Common examples of sensors, in particular as internal functional elements, are light sensors, capacitive rain sensors and capacitive switching fields. Light sensors usually consist of one or more photodiodes on a printed circuit board (PCB). They allow the ambient brightness to be measured, for example to automatically control vehicle lighting. Capacitive switching fields are planar electrodes or two electrodes that are interlaced with each other in a spiral, comb or meandering manner. When an operator's finger approaches, the capacitance of the planar electrode to ground or the capacitance of the capacitor formed by the interlaced electrodes changes. This capacitance change can be measured by evaluation electronics and converted into a switching signal. Similarly, capacitive rain sensors measure the presence of raindrops on a composite glass pane, for example to automatically control glass pane wipers.

[0022] Common examples of sensors as external functional elements are humidity sensors, in particular air humidity sensors, or temperature sensors.

[0023] Common examples of emitters as internal or external functional elements are light-emitting diodes, in particular LEDs or OLEDs, which point inwards and serve as display elements or lighting.

[0024] An electrical shielding element is usually a metal film or a metal plate, which is preferably connected externally to a reference potential and thus to ground. A shielding element is usually arranged between two other functional elements in order to avoid interference or coupling between them.

[0025] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the component comprises exactly three functional elements, namely one external functional element and two internal functional elements. According to the above numbering, the first two functional elements are internal functional elements and the third functional element is an external functional element. The second internal functional element arranged between the external and the further internal functional element is designed as an electric shielding element. The electric shielding element is particularly designed for positioning between the inner glass pane and the thermoplastic interlayer. The first internal functional element is designed, for example, as a rain sensor or a light sensor and is designed for positioning on the outer glass pane closest to the composite glass pane, in particular between the outer glass pane and the thermoplastic interlayer. The third external functional element is designed, for example, as a humidity or temperature sensor and is designed for external mounting on the inner glass pane of the composite glass pane.

[0026] The electrical conductor of the functional element is preferably designed as a so-called flat conductor or film conductor, i.e., a conductive film, such as a copper film, in particular a strip of galvanized copper film. Other conductive materials that can be processed into films can also be used. Examples for this are aluminum, gold, silver or tin and their alloys. The thickness of the flat conductor is usually 0.03 mm to 0.2 mm, and the width is, for example, 2 mm to 60 mm. They are particularly suitable for internal functional elements because they can be easily led out of the composite glass plate due to their small height dimensions. However, in principle, other types of conductors can also be used, such as round conductors, such as strand conductors (Drahtlitzenleiter) or solid wire conductors, which are particularly used for external functional elements. Similarly, flat conductors can also be connected to round conductors to form electrical conductors, wherein the flat conductor section is connected to the (internal) functional element and is provided for embedding in the composite glass plate and extending on its side edge.

[0027] Preferably, the insulating sheath around the electrical conductor is preferably formed of a polymer material, but alternatively, for example, ceramic or glass can be conceived. Suitable polymer insulating materials are, for example, polyethylene, polyimide, polyvinyl chloride, polytetrafluoroethylene, polyester, epoxy resin, polyurethane resin or silicone elastomer. The typical thickness of the insulating sheath is 0.01 mm to 0.1 mm. In a preferred embodiment, in the bundled area of the cable, the common insulating sheath should have a thickness of at least 0.05 mm. Therefore, in addition to electrical insulation, the advantageous and mechanically stable integrity of the component of the present invention is also achieved. Here, thickness refers to the distance between the outer boundary of the sheath and the closest conductive structure in the cable.

[0028] Preferably, the electrical conductors of the component according to the invention are completely surrounded by the insulating sheath. In the individual regions of the cable, at least one electrical conductor of the functional element extends in the insulating sheath. If the functional element is connected to a plurality of conductors (which are preferably designed completely or mostly as flat conductors), the individual conductors can preferably extend side by side and / or overlap each other (based on the width dimensions of the film strip). In a preferred embodiment, all conductors of the same functional element extend side by side. The regions between the individual conductors are preferably filled with the material of the insulating sheath.

[0029] In the bundle area and possible sub-bundle area of the cable, the electrical conductors of multiple functional elements extend in a common insulating sheath. The conductors are preferably designed as flat conductors completely or for the most part. In a preferred embodiment, all conductors of the same functional element extend side by side with each other (based on the width dimension of the film strip). The conductors of different functional elements as a whole can extend side by side with each other or overlap each other in a plane. In a preferred embodiment, an electrical shield is arranged between adjacent conductors of different functional elements (regardless of whether they extend side by side with each other or overlap each other). The shield can be designed as a conductive film strip, which is preferably configured for connection to a reference potential and is equipped with a plug connector for this purpose. The area between the individual conductors is preferably filled with the material of the insulating sheath.

[0030] If the areas between the individual conductors are filled with insulating material, the filling is preferably designed as a single piece with the insulating sheath. This applies to individual areas, possible sub-bundle areas and bundle areas.

[0031] Above and below all electrical conductors and possible shieldings, upper and lower overall shields are preferably assigned, which are preferably designed as conductive film strips or plates and are also preferably provided for connection to a reference potential and are equipped with a plug connector for this purpose.

[0032] The invention also relates to a method for producing a composite glass pane, wherein

[0033] (a) providing a first glass sheet, a second glass sheet, at least one thermoplastic film and a component according to the invention,

[0034] (b) arranging a first glass pane and a second glass pane in a stack in a planar manner with a film located therebetween, wherein at least one electrical functional element of the component is arranged between the film and one of the glass panes, and wherein a bundled section in which all electrical conductors are surrounded by a common insulating sheath is arranged outside the stack,

[0035] (c) Laminating the first glass plate with the second glass plate via the film to form a composite glass plate.

[0036] The thermoplastic film can be provided in one piece to form the entire thermoplastic interlayer of the composite glass pane. However, it is also possible to provide a plurality of film segments which are combined to form the interlayer. In this case, the functional element of the component can be arranged around such a film segment, which is then inserted into the stack, for example, in a precisely fitting manner into a recess in the remaining film. The film segment can also have a smaller thickness than the remaining film to compensate for the thickness of the functional element.

[0037] In an advantageous embodiment, the electrical functional elements are arranged in the stack such that they overlap one another in the finished composite glass pane. This means that they are arranged at least partially overlapping one another when looking through the composite glass pane. For this purpose, the feed lines of the functional elements are appropriately dimensioned, i.e. the individual sections and possible sub-bundle sections of the cable. In this case, the lengths of the individual sections and possible sub-bundle sections are selected taking into account the thickness of the components of the composite glass pane (single glass pane and film) so that they extend directly toward the bundle section as far as possible without warping, wrinkling, etc. when the functional element is arranged in the intended use position.

[0038] In an advantageous embodiment, the component comprises an external functional element which is fixed to one of the surfaces of the first or second glass pane facing away from the film, preferably to the inner chamber-side surface of the inner glass pane. The fixing is preferably carried out with an adhesive, for example a layer of adhesive material or a double-sided adhesive tape. The fixing can be carried out before or after lamination of the stack to produce the composite glass pane. In addition to the external functional element, individual sections of its cable can also be fixed to the glass pane surface with adhesive.

[0039] In a preferred embodiment, the component comprises at least two internal electrical functional elements for embedding in the composite glass pane and at least one external electrical functional element for external fastening to the composite glass pane. The internal functional element is arranged between the first glass pane and the film, the internal functional element is arranged between the second glass pane and the film, and the external functional element is arranged with adhesive on the surface of the second glass pane facing away from the film. The first glass pane is preferably the outer glass pane and the second glass pane is the inner glass pane. The functional element between the second glass pane and the film is preferably designed as an electrical shielding element for electrically shielding the other two functional elements.

[0040] The first and second glass panes are preferably made of glass, particularly preferably soda-lime glass, which has proven to be advantageous for window glazing. The glass panes can also be made of other glass types, such as borosilicate glass or aluminosilicate glass. In principle, the glass panes can alternatively be made of plastic, in particular polycarbonate (PC) or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).

[0041] The thickness of the glass sheets can vary within a wide range and can therefore be matched very well to the requirements in the respective case. Preferably, the thickness of the first and second glass sheets is 0.5 mm to 10 mm, particularly preferably 1 mm to 5 mm, very particularly preferably 1.2 mm to 3 mm.

[0042] The glass panes can be bent in one or more directions in space, as is common for automotive glass panes, with typical radii of curvature being about 10 cm to about 40 m. For this purpose, the two glass panes are preferably subjected to a bending process before lamination, for example by gravity bending, suction bending and / or press bending. Typical bending temperatures are 500° C. to 700° C.

[0043] The composite glass pane may have a peripheral cover print, as is common for automotive glass panes. Such a cover print can also be used to conceal or cover functional elements. Such an opaque cover print is applied to at least one of the two glass panes, preferably to the edge region of the two glass panes. For this purpose, a black or dark enamel is usually applied by screen printing and fired before lamination, in particular before bending or during bending.

[0044] The thermoplastic film which is to form the intermediate layer of the composite glass pane comprises at least one thermoplastic polymer, preferably ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or polyurethane (PU) or mixtures or copolymers or derivatives thereof, particularly preferably PVB. The thickness of the thermoplastic film is preferably 0.2 mm to 2 mm, particularly preferably 0.3 mm to 1 mm, for example 0.76 mm. The intermediate layer can also be formed by a plurality of thermoplastic films arranged one above the other, wherein the functional element can be positioned between two such films.

[0045] The glass pane and the thermoplastic film can be clear and colorless independently of one another, but can also be tinted, cloudy or colored. In a preferred embodiment, the total transmittance through the composite glass pane is greater than 70%, in particular when the composite glass pane is a windshield pane. The term total transmittance is based on the method for testing the light transmittance of motor vehicle glass panes as specified by ECE-R 43, Annex 3, §9.1. The glass pane can consist of non-prestressed, partially prestressed or prestressed glass.

[0046] The lamination of the glass sheets to produce a composite glass sheet is carried out by common methods known to the technician per se, such as an autoclave method, a vacuum bag method, a vacuum ring method, a calendering method, a vacuum laminator or a combination thereof. Here, the joining of the first and second glass sheets is usually carried out under the effect of heat, vacuum and / or pressure.

[0047] The invention also includes a composite glass pane equipped with a component according to the invention and a composite glass pane producible by the method according to the invention. Preferably, at least one functional element is arranged between the individual glass panes. In a particularly preferred embodiment, a first functional element is arranged between a first glass pane, preferably an outer glass pane, and a thermoplastic interlayer, a second functional element is arranged between a second glass pane, preferably an inner glass pane, and a thermoplastic interlayer, and a third functional element is mounted on the outer side of the second glass pane. The second functional element is preferably an electrical shielding element for decoupling two other functional elements.

[0048] In the following, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. The drawings are schematic and not true to scale. The drawings do not limit the present invention in any way.

[0054] Figure 1 A schematic diagram of an embodiment of a component E according to the invention for producing a composite glass pane, in particular a windshield pane for a motor vehicle, is shown. The component comprises three electrical functional elements 1, 2, 3. The first electrical functional element 1 is a capacitive rain sensor and is provided for lamination as an internal functional element between an outer glass pane and a thermoplastic interlayer of a composite glass pane. The second functional element 2 is an electrical shielding element and is provided for lamination as an internal functional element between an inner glass pane and a thermoplastic interlayer of a composite glass pane. The third functional element 3 is a humidity sensor and is provided for mounting as an external functional element on the inner chamber side surface of the inner glass pane. The second functional element 2 should act as a shielding element to prevent interference, coupling ("crosstalk") and other disturbances between the other two functional elements 1, 3.

[0055] In addition to the functional elements 1, 2, 3, the component also includes a cable, which includes electrical conductors connected to the functional elements 1, 2, 3 and their insulating sheath 7. Three conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 are connected to the first functional element 1, a conductor 5 is connected to the second functional element 2 and four conductors 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 are connected to the third functional element 3. The conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; 5; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 are designed as flat conductors and are made of tinned copper foil strips.

[0056] The cable of the component E is divided into different sections. It comprises a so-called bundle section G, in which the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; 5; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 of all functional elements 1, 2, 3 are surrounded by a common insulating sheath 7. The bundle section G bundles the three functional elements 1, 2, 3 with their associated conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; 5; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 to form a single component E. At the end of the bundle section G that is remote from the functional elements 1, 2, 3, the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; 5; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 are equipped with a common plug connector S, via which the entire component E can be connected to the on-board electrical system of the vehicle.

[0057] Starting from the bundle section G, the cable branches into a so-called individual section I.3 of the third functional element 3 and a so-called sub-bundle section T of the first and second functional elements 1, 2. In the individual section I.3, only the conductors 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 of the third functional element 3 with the insulating sheath 7 are contained. The third functional element 3 is connected to the individual section I.3. In the sub-bundle section T, the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5 of the first and second functional elements 1, 2 are contained in a common insulating sheath 7. At the end of the sub-bundle section T, the cable branches again into the individual section I.2 of the second functional element 2 and the individual section I.1 of the first functional element 1. In the individual section I.1, only the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 of the first functional element 1 are contained, and in the individual section I.2, only the conductor 5 of the second functional element 2 is contained, each of which has an insulating sheath 7.

[0058] The third functional element 3 and its individual segment I.3 are provided with adhesive 11 for easier fixing to the composite glass pane. By bundling the three functional elements 1, 2, 3 into a single component E, the production of the composite glass pane is significantly simplified. It is no longer necessary to position and fix the functional elements individually in the composite body. Instead, only the component E must be processed, whose individual segments I.1, I.2, I.3 and their sub-bundle segments T define the relative arrangement of the functional elements 1, 2, 3. The dimensions of the individual segments I.1, I.2, I.3 and the sub-bundle segments T are provided in this case so that the functional elements 1, 2, 3 in the composite glass pane overlap, i.e. are arranged one above the other.

[0059] Figure 2 Shows passing through Figure 1 . The electrical conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 of the first functional element 1 are arranged side by side in one plane (based on the width dimension of the flat conductor). Likewise, the electrical conductors 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 of the third functional element 3 are arranged side by side in one plane. The entirety of the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and the entirety of the conductors 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 are likewise arranged side by side in the same plane. A shield 9 is arranged between the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 on the one hand and the conductors 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 on the other hand, which decouples the conductor groups.

[0060] The conductor 5 is used for grounding the second functional element 2. It is arranged in another plane above the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3. A shield 8.1 is arranged between the conductor 5 and the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 on the one hand for decoupling. A shield 8.2 is also arranged below the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3. The shields 8.1, 8.2 extend over the total width of the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3. The shields 8.1, 8.2 are preferably grounded via a plug connector S. Preferably, the shield 9 is also grounded via the plug connector S or via a connection (not shown) to the shields 8.1, 8.2.

[0061] Arranged above and below the entirety of the electrical conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; 5; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and the inner shields 8.1, 8.2, 9 are overall shields 10.1, 10.2, which extend over the total width of the conductors 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; 5; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and the inner shields 8.1, 8.2, 9. The overall shields 10.1, 10.2 serve to decouple external influences and are preferably grounded in turn via the plug connector S. All conductors and shields are surrounded by a polymer material which forms the insulating sheath 7 and fills the gaps.

[0062] Figure 3A composite glass pane W with a component E is shown. The composite glass pane W is provided as a windshield of a motor vehicle, and the component E is arranged outside the central viewing area indicated by the dashed line. The presence of water drops on the outer glass pane can be measured by means of a first functional element 1 (rain sensor), in order to automatically put the glass wiper into operation based on this. The relative air humidity of the vehicle interior can be measured by means of a third functional element 3 (humidity sensor) and, for example, an automatic air conditioning system can be adapted thereto.

[0063] Figure 4 Shows passing through Figure 3 1 is a cross section of a composite glass panel W. The composite glass panel W consists of an outer glass panel 12, an inner glass panel 13 and a thermoplastic film 14 arranged between them. For the sake of greater clarity, the components are shown separated from each other so that the figure is more likely to represent a layer stack before lamination rather than a finished windshield panel. The outer glass panel 12 and the inner glass panel 13 consist of soda-lime glass and have a thickness of, for example, 2.1 mm. The film 14 consists of PVB containing a plasticizer with a thickness of 0.76 mm.

[0064] The first functional element 1 is arranged between the outer glass pane 12 and the film 14, the second functional element 13 is arranged between the inner glass pane 13 and the film 14, and the third functional element 3 is arranged on the inner chamber side surface of the inner glass pane 13 away from the outer glass pane 12 via the adhesive 11. The functional elements 1, 2, 3 are arranged overlapping so that they are arranged to overlap when looking through the composite glass pane W.
