Description

Technical Field

[0001] The invention relates to a wire connector, in particular to a wire connector which can clamp or release a wire by operating a lever thereon. Background Art

[0002] Among the electronic components currently available in the market that are used to connect multiple wires, there is a type of wiring clamp that relies on a lever on the clamp to release or clamp the wires with an internal spring clip. For example, Chinese invention patent CN104995799B discloses such a wiring clamp.

[0003] In which, the case is toggled by the operating member 4, so that the operating member 4 in the case Figures 3 and 4 in the clockwise direction, by means of the support groove 15 in the insulating material housing 2 and the circular curved section 31 on the rotary support area 14 on the operating member 4 to rotate relative to the insulating material housing 2 on a virtual axis D, and during the rotation process, the operating section 16 on the rotary support area 14 drives the clamping edge 20 of the clamping spring 17 to change its state.

[0004] In this way, different areas of the surface of the swivel support area 14 are directly used as the operating member 4 to rotate the operating member and drive the clamping spring 17. Therefore, from the shape of the swivel support area 14, it can be seen that when the wiring clamp is in the released state, as long as the operating member 4 is subjected to a force sufficient to resist the friction between the operating member 4 and the support groove 15, the operating member 4 can be rotated and the angle after rotation will be maintained. Therefore, after multiple collisions and when it is rotated to a specific angle, it will directly return to the closed state from the released state. Summary of the invention

[0005] To solve the above technical problems, the present invention aims to provide a wire connector for electrically connecting multiple wires to each other, and can fix or release the wires at specific positions by turning the components thereon for replacement.

[0006] A secondary object of the present invention is to provide a wire connector in which a wire clamp can be changed from a release state for clamping a wire to a clamping state for fixing the wire by rotating an operating rod, and the operating rod can automatically return to its original position within a certain degree of rotation angle.

[0007] To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the technical solution adopted by the present invention is: a wire connector, comprising: an insulating shell, which is configured with a plurality of wire insertion holes along a wire insertion direction, and an installation space connected with the plurality of wire insertion holes is formed inside, so that a plurality of wires can be inserted along the plurality of wire insertion holes respectively; a contact assembly, which is arranged in the installation space and is configured with a plurality of terminal contacts arranged adjacent to each other, the contact assembly comprising a busbar forming all the terminal contacts and a wiring clamp pressing the plurality of wires against the busbar; an operating rod, which can be movably assembled to the insulating shell, has an operating portion cooperating with the wiring clamp and a pulling portion forming a gripping area, the operating portion has two operating panels symmetrically arranged to form a spacing area, and the operating panel is configured with a pushing portion pressed against the wiring clamp on the edge contour;

[0008] The invention is characterized in that: the operating panel is constructed with a cam; and the installation space is provided with a stop wall that can contact the cam; when the pulling part is pulled and changes from a fixed state that can fix the wire to a released state for allowing the wire to enter the wire insertion hole, the operating rod swings and moves simultaneously along at least one contact surface of the stop wall by virtue of the contour of the cam, and a relative displacement is generated between the insulating shell and the operating rod, and a contact point where the surface of the wiring clamp contacts the pushing part will continuously change position on the surface of the wiring clamp.

[0009] In the wire connector, the stop wall includes a first contact surface and a second contact surface which is not parallel to the first contact surface. The cam is provided with a pushing force toward the stop wall by the wiring clamp, so that the cam keeps contacting the first contact surface and the second contact surface at the same time.

[0010] In the wire connector, when the pulling portion is pulled, the cam moves in different directions along the first contact surface and the second contact surface at the same time.

[0011] In the wire connector, the pushing portion includes a first plane, a second plane, and a turning surface between the first plane and the second plane, and the farthest point between the cam surface and the surface of the pushing portion is located on the turning surface.

[0012] In the wire connector, when the wire connector changes from the fixed state to the released state, the contact point on the abutting surface gradually moves from the first plane to the second plane through the turning surface.

[0013] In the wire connector, the cam has a center point and forms a major axis and a minor axis passing through the center point. The surface direction of the second plane is substantially parallel to the surface of the wiring clamp in the released state, and the major axis is perpendicular to the stop wall.

[0014] In the wire connector, the cam has a center point and is formed with a long axis and a short axis passing through the center point. When the contact point and the contour of the cam form a maximum distance away from the end of the contact point, an angle is formed between the long axis and the stop wall.

[0015] In the wire connector, the terminal clamp includes a clamp arm that can swing to clamp the wire. When the wire connector is transformed from the fixed state to the released state, the distance between the center point and the contact surface continues to increase, and the distance that the clamp arm swings due to being pushed by the pushing portion is further increased.

[0016] The wire connector has a first distance formed between the center point and the stop wall in a direction perpendicular to the wire insertion direction, and a second distance formed between the center point and the contact point in a direction perpendicular to the wire insertion direction. When the wire connector changes from the fixed state to the released state, the first distance continues to increase, and the second distance gradually increases at first, and then gradually decreases after the rotation angle of the operating rod exceeds a reflex angle.

[0017] The wire connector, the wiring clip includes a first clamp arm for assembling the busbar, a positioning wall connected to the first clamp arm and provided with a through hole for the wire to enter, an elastic arm connected to the positioning wall and forming a gap with the first clamp arm, a second clamp arm connected to the elastic arm, and a limiting arm that limits the expansion of the gap by its own length.

[0018] The wire connector has a first straight bending portion and a second straight bending portion connected to the first straight bending portion formed at one end of the second clamp arm facing the first clamp arm, and a lug corresponding to the position of the pushing portion is formed on both sides of the second clamp arm.

[0019] In the wire connector, the elastic arm includes a first curved portion and a second curved portion connected to the first curved portion and folded back to connect to the second clamping arm.

[0020] Compared with the prior art, the advantage of the present invention using the above technical solution is that when the operating lever is actuated, unlike the prior art which uses a circular rotating shaft in conjunction with a pushing block with a variable radius for actuation, a cam is used in conjunction with a pushing portion with an arc-shaped turning surface to generate a torque with a variable length and action position to fix the two ends of the wiring clamp of the wire closer to or farther away from each other, wherein the shape design of the pushing portion and the elastic arm allows the operating lever to automatically return to its original position before rotating to a certain angle. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0039] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with specific embodiments and drawings, and the advantages and features of the present invention will become more apparent as the description proceeds.

[0040] Please refer to Figure 1 As shown, the wire connector 1 of the present invention, in a preferred embodiment, comprises an insulating housing 2 composed of a first housing 21 and a second housing 22, a contact assembly 3 for clamping a plurality of wires and electrically connecting them to each other, and two operating rods 4 for cooperating with the contact assembly 3 to change the state of the contact assembly 3; when in use, the wire connector 1 can be switched from a fixed state S1 (see FIG. 1 ) in which the plurality of wires are fixed by moving the operating rods 4. Figure 5A ) is changed to a release state S2 (see Figure 5D , described in detail later).

[0041] Regarding the design of the insulating housing 2, please first refer to Figures 1 to 2C As shown, the insulating shell 2 is composed of the first shell 21 and the second shell 22; the first shell 21 is formed with a receiving groove 211, and the receiving groove 211 has a groove opening 212 open to two different directions, and the second shell 22 is used to assemble and cover the groove opening 212. By closing the groove opening 212, the first shell 21 and the inside of the insulating shell 2 form an installation space 213 for accommodating the contact component 3.

[0042] As shown in the figure, the first housing 21 is formed with a plurality of wire insertion holes 214 along a wire insertion direction V and connected to the bottom of the receiving groove 211 on a side surface away from the receiving groove 211. The wire insertion hole 214 is formed with a tapered barrel-shaped guide channel 214a along the wire insertion direction V. The insulating outer skin 231 of the wire 23 is accommodated by the larger radius portion of the guide channel 214a, and the conductive wire at the center of the wire enters the installation space 213 (see FIG. Figure 5E ).

[0043] In order to allow the operating rod 4 to be engaged with the first shell 21, the storage groove 211 is provided with a plurality of receiving channels 210 for accommodating the plurality of operating rods 4 on the wall 211a on one side, and a snap block 211b for combining with the second shell 22 is provided on the side of the wall 211a away from the wire insertion hole 214; and in order to allow the second shell 22 to be assembled with the first shell 21 only in the wire insertion direction V, the first shell 21 is provided with a trapezoidal snap groove 211c on the edges of the opposite sides of the storage groove 211.

[0044] Among them, the storage groove 211 has a stop wall 215 for assembling the operating rod 4 formed on its bottom (the part close to the wire insertion hole 214 in the wire insertion direction V) and the wall 211a, and the stop wall 215 includes a first contact surface 215a located on the wall 211a close to the interior of the first shell 21 and a second contact surface 215b located at the bottom of the storage groove 211 and not parallel to each other (vertical in this embodiment) with the first contact surface 215a.

[0045] In addition, in order to facilitate holding the wire connector 1 , a plurality of anti-slip grooves 216 are provided on a side wall of the first housing 21 close to the wire insertion hole 214 .

[0046] In this embodiment, in order to cover the slot opening 212, the second shell 22 is an L-shaped cover body, having a first wall 221 parallel to the plugging direction V and a second wall 222 perpendicular to the plugging direction V; the first wall 221 is used to snap onto the wall 211a when assembled, and a snap groove 221a is provided at a position corresponding to the snap block 211b. In addition, in order to limit the rotation angle of the operating rod 4, the first wall 221 is formed with an interference portion 221b (the mode of action will be described later) on the side facing the first shell 21, which will cover one end of the accommodating channel 210 when assembled to interfere with the rotation angle of the operating rod 4.

[0047] A set of trapezoidal engaging blocks 222a corresponding to the wall edges of the engaging groove 211c are disposed on both sides of the second wall surface 222. In addition, a detection hole 222b is disposed at the center of the side of the second wall surface 222 away from the first wall surface 221, for allowing a detector to enter the installation space 213 to contact the contact assembly 3, so as to determine whether the wire 23 installed in the wire connector 1 is conductive.

[0048] Please refer to Figure 1 , FIG. 3A to FIG. 3D As shown, the contact assembly 3 is constructed with a plurality of terminal contacts arranged adjacent to each other. The contact assembly 3 includes a bus bar 31 which forms all the terminal contacts and is in the shape of a linear strip, and a plurality of terminal clamps 32 for individually pressing the plurality of wires 23 against the bus bar 31.

[0049] like Figure 1 , Figure 3A , Figure 3B As shown, the collector 31 has a barb 311 formed at one end of the short axis S direction and a bent portion 312 formed at the other end, and the collector 31 has a connecting protrusion 313 at each end of the long axis direction; the barb 311 is used to hook the collector 31 onto the terminal clip 32; the bent portion 312 has an inclined surface 312a formed on the side away from the barb.

[0050] like Figure 1 , Figure 3C , Figure 3D As shown, the terminal clamp 32 includes a first clamp arm 321 for assembling the busbar 31, a positioning wall 322 vertically connected to the first clamp arm 321 and provided with a through hole 322a for the wire 23 to enter, an elastic arm 323 vertically connected to the positioning wall 322 and forming a gap with the first clamp arm 321, and a second clamp arm 324 connected to the elastic arm 323 and extending toward the first clamp arm 321.

[0051] The second clamping arm 324 can swing relative to the first clamping arm 321 and the positioning wall 322 by means of the elastic arm 323, and clamp the wire passing through the through hole 322a together with the first clamping arm 321; wherein, in order to increase the strength of the second clamping arm 324 clamping the wire 23, the second clamping arm 324 includes a pressing portion 324a for acting with the operating rod 4, and a first straight bending portion 324b is formed on the end of the pressing portion 324a facing the first clamping arm 321, and a first straight bending portion 324b connected to the first straight bending portion 324b is formed. Part 324b, and a second straight bending part 324c that further deflects toward the first clamping arm 321, reduces the deformation caused by the torque by segmenting at different angles, so that the second clamping arm 324 is less likely to deform at the end close to the first clamping arm 321, and the deformation is concentrated on the elastic arm 323. In order to prevent the operating rod 4 from interfering with the wire 23 and to evenly provide the operating rod 4 with the force to push the second clamping arm 324, a lug 324d corresponding to the position of a pushing part 421 on the operating rod 4 is formed on both sides of the pressing part 324a.

[0052] In addition, in order to allow the elastic wall to deform at a specific position so that the second clamp arm 324 can swing when the operating rod 4 is actuated, the first elastic arm 323 includes a first curved portion 323a at an end away from the positioning wall 322 and a second curved portion 323b connected to the first curved portion 323a and folded back so that the second clamp arm 324 extends toward the first clamp arm 321.

[0053] When the busbar 31 is connected to the terminal clamp 32, the hook 311 of the busbar 31 is installed on the first clamp arm 321 near the positioning wall 322 and close to the second clamp arm 324 through the through hole 322a; the bent portion 312 protrudes toward the second clamp arm 324 so as to more easily contact the wire 23 passing through the through hole 322a; the inclined surface 312a is used to guide the wire 23 to enter the through hole 322a along the insertion direction V (see Figure 5E ).

[0054] When the contact component 3 clamps the wire 23, the volume of the wire 23 will cause the first clamp arm 321 and the second clamp arm 324 to move away from each other. In addition to causing deformation between the second clamp arm 324 and the elastic arm 323, it is also possible to change the angle between the elastic arm 323 and the positioning wall 322, or between the first clamp arm 321 and the positioning wall 322 to make the first clamp arm 321 and the second clamp arm 324 move away from each other. Therefore, in order to concentrate the deformation on the elastic arm 323 to increase the force of clamping the wire 23, the contact component 3 is also provided with a limiting arm 325 that limits the relative position between the first clamp arm 321 and the positioning wall 322 and the elastic arm 323 by its own length. One end of the limiting arm 325 is connected to the elastic arm 323, and the other end is connected to the connecting protrusion 313 that is snapped on the busbar 31.

[0055] In addition, in order to determine whether the wire 23 is electrically connected to the contact element 3, a conductive bump 326 is provided on the elastic arm 323 at the position of the detection hole 222b so that the detection device from the detection hole 222b can contact the contact element 3.

[0056] For the design of the operating lever 4, please refer to Figure 4A , Figure 4B , FIG. 5A to FIG. 5D As shown, the operating lever 4 has a block-shaped operating portion 41 that cooperates with the wiring clamp 32 when in use, and a handle-type pulling portion 43 that is separated from the operating portion 41 and has a gripping area 431. The operating portion 41 has two symmetrically arranged operating panels 42 with a spacing area 42a. The operating panel 42 has a pushing portion 421 on its edge contour that presses against the wiring clamp 32.

[0057] In order to allow the operating rod 4 to swing and rotate relative to the insulating shell 2, in this embodiment, the operating plate 42 is constructed with an elliptical cam 422 in the spacing area 42a; when assembled, the operating plate 42 is arranged in the receiving channel 210, and the cam 422 is connected to the stop wall 215 when assembled; wherein, the cam 422 has a center point C, and is formed with a major axis L and a minor axis S passing through the center point C, and a point of action P2 is formed between the cam 422 and the first contact surface 215a of the stop wall 215.

[0058] As for the detailed shape of the pushing portion 421, in this embodiment, the pushing portion 421 includes a first plane 421a, a second plane 421b, and a turning surface 421c located between the first plane 421a and the second plane 421b, and the farthest distance between the surface of the cam 422 and the surface of the pushing portion 421 is located on the turning surface 421c (see Figure 4B The connection between the line L1 and the pushing portion 421).

[0059] like Figure 5A , Figure 5D As shown, although there is no special limitation, in this embodiment, the surface direction of the first plane 421a is roughly parallel to the surface of the wiring clamp 32 when in the fixed state S1, and the short axis S of the cam 422 is perpendicular to the stop wall 215, and the short axis S is perpendicular to the stop wall 215, and the surface direction of the second plane 421b is roughly parallel to the surface of the wiring clamp 32 when in the released state S2, and the long axis L is perpendicular to the stop wall 215.

[0060] For detailed operation of the wire connector 1 and the relationship between various structural components, please refer to FIG. 5A to FIG. 5D In this embodiment, when the wire connector 1 is Figure 5A In the fixed state S1 without clamping the wire 23, the gripping area 431 is roughly parallel to the wire insertion direction V, and a first distance D1 between the center point C of the cam 422 and the first contact surface 215a perpendicular to the wire insertion direction V is roughly equal to the short axis S.

[0061] In this embodiment, the first plane 421a of the operating portion 41 of the operating lever 4 is in the fixed state S1 (see Figure 5A ) is roughly parallel to the pressing portion 324a of the second clamping arm 324, but as the user operates the operating rod 4, the first distance D1 will gradually increase and become greater than the length of the short axis S, and the operating rod 4 will form a contact point P1 with the operating portion 41 on the pressing portion 324 at an initial position (i.e., the position that first contacts the pressing bottom portion 324), and the contact point P1 and the center point C form a second distance D2 in a direction perpendicular to the wiring direction V (see Figure 5B ); wherein the operating rod 4 is subjected to a pushing force from the second clamp arm 324, so that the cam 422 contacts the first contact surface 215a and the second contact surface 215b of the stop wall 215 at the same time; as shown in the figure, at this time, the contact point P1 is located on the left side of the center point C in the plug-in direction V.

[0062] When the user pushes the operating lever 4 so that the wire connector 1 Figure 5A The fixed state S1 is transformed into Figure 5B In a first transition state S31 shown in FIG. Figure 5B As shown, when the operating lever 4 is operated as shown in Figure 5B When rotating in the counterclockwise direction indicated by the middle arrow R1, the cam 422 will rotate together with the operating rod 4 and push against the second clamping arm 324 to resist the restoring force generated by the deformation of the second clamping arm 324 and the elastic arm 323. During the process, the cam 422 is acted upon by the restoring force, so that the cam 422 still contacts the first contact surface 215a and the second contact surface 215b of the stop wall 215 at the same time, and slides and rotates on the first contact surface 215a and the second contact surface 215b respectively, so that the contact point P1 moves toward the right on the pressing portion 324a.

[0063] The comparison chart shows that 5A and Figure 5B It can be seen that in such a process, since the cam 422 is still in contact with the first contact surface 215a and the second contact surface 215b respectively, the position of the center point C of the cam 422 will be affected by the contour of the cam 422 and move along the plug-in direction V and perpendicular to the plug-in direction V respectively, and the first distance D1 between the center point C of the cam 422 and the first contact surface 215a perpendicular to the plug-in direction V continues to increase; during the process, the operating part 41 rotates with the operating rod 4, continuously increasing the second distance D2, and at the same time allowing the second clamping arm 324 to rotate, so that the spacing between the second clamping arm 324 and the first clamping arm 321 (collector 31) gradually increases; it can also be seen from the figure that the contact point P1 will gradually move from the first plane 421a to the turning surface 421c.

[0064] like FIG. 5A to FIG. 5C As shown, when the operating lever 4 continues to rotate and the contact point P1 moves to the turning surface 421c, affected by the profile of the cam 422, the first distance D1 between the center point C and the first contact surface 215a will continue to increase, and the second distance D2 between the contact point P1 and the center point C will also increase as the shape of the pushing portion 421 changes. By increasing the first distance D1 and the second distance D2, the distance that the second clamp arm 324 swings when pushed by the pushing portion 421 is further increased, which is different from other technologies that use a circular rotating shaft (because the position of the center of rotation will not change relative to the housing).

[0065] like Figure 4B and FIG. 5A to FIG. 5CAs shown, during the process of the contact point P1 moving from the end of the turning surface 421c close to the first plane 421a to the end close to the second plane 421b, since the first distance D1 is still increasing, the distance between the second clamp arm 324 and the first clamp arm 321 is still expanding.

[0066] in, Figure 5C As shown in FIG. 1 , when the operating rod 4 rotates to a bending angle θ, the second distance D2 reaches a certain angle due to the shape design of the pushing portion 421. Figure 5C As shown in the maximum state, when the rotation continues, the second distance D2 and the distance between the two clamping arms 321 and 324 will gradually decrease with the rotation of the operating rod 4, and the increase of the first distance D1 will also gradually decrease (but the distance is still increasing). Therefore, under the change of the sum of the two (D1+D2), the wire connector 1 is in a second transition state S32. In this state, the contact point P1 is located at an extreme position P0 that forms a maximum distance between the contact point P1 and the action point P2; as shown in the figure, at this time, P1 has passed directly below P2 and moved to the right side of P2.

[0067] Please refer to Figure 5C and Figure 5D As shown, when the operating lever 4 continues to rotate to Figure 5D When the first distance D1 is equal to the length of the major axis L of the cam 422 at the maximum angle shown (limited by the interference portion 221b of the second housing 22), the first distance D1 is maximized, and the second distance D2 is smaller than Figure 5C The second distance D2 is shown so that the second clamping arm 324 can rotate in the clockwise direction as shown in the figure, and an opening for the wire 23 to enter is formed between the second clamping arm 324 and the busbar 31 .

[0068] In this embodiment, the angle of the second plane 421b is designed so that the second plane 421b is in contact with the second elastic clamp arm 324. However, it is particularly noted that the present invention does not limit the angle of the second plane 421b. Figure 5E By changing the shape of the second contact surface 215b, the moving trajectory of the contact point P1 generates a turning point (at Figure 5C or change the curvature of the turning surface 421c (without changing the position, angle and shape of the cam 422), so that the contact point P1 moves to an end point (such as Fig. 5F shown in the position).

[0069] When the wire 23 is to be fixed, the operating rod 4 can be rotated in the reverse direction to make the second clamping arm 324 approach the current collector 31, thereby clamping the wire 23 (such as Figure 5G shown).

[0070] As can be seen from the above description, when operating the aforementioned wire connector 1, FIG. 5A to FIG. 5D When the contact assembly 3 is in the state of being ...

[0071] When the user continues to rotate, the contact point P1 moves toward the second plane 421b ( FIG. 5A to FIG. 5C ), affected by the profile of the cam 422, the first distance D1 continues to increase during the process, thereby making the distance between the first clamping arm 321 and the second clamping arm 324 larger and larger, and when the return angle θ is reached, the swing angle of the clamping arm 324 reaches the maximum, and a maximum opening is generated between the plurality of clamping walls 321, 324.

[0072] Finally, when the user continues to rotate so that the contact point P1 leaves the turning surface 421c, the second distance D2 will begin to shorten and slightly offset the increase in the first distance D1, so that the first clamp arm 321 and the second clamp arm 324 approach each other, wherein the distance between the cam 422 and the first contact surface 215a is the length of the major axis L of the cam 422.

[0073] The present invention does not impose any special restrictions on the shape of the pushing portion 421 , and does not necessarily require the first and second planes 421 a and 421 b . For example, the entire pushing portion 421 may be directly configured as an arc surface.

[0074] The above description and embodiments are only exemplary and do not constitute any limitation to the scope of the present invention. It should be understood by those skilled in the art that the details and forms of the technical solution of the present invention can be modified or replaced without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention, but these modifications and replacements all fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
