A method for updating search results, comprising: performing a first search based on a search keyword; presenting, in a search results page of the first search, first search results matching the search keyword; performing a second search different from the first search to obtain second search results matching the search keyword based on an update request for updating the first search results, the first search and the second search being performed based on the same search keyword; in response to determining that the second search results are consistent with the first search results, presenting, in a search results page of the second search, a portion of the first search results that has not been presented to a user yet; and in response to determining that the second search results are inconsistent with the first search results, presenting, in the search results page, differences between the second search results and the first search results; and presenting, after the differences presented in the search results page, identical portions between the second search results and the first search results.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein presenting the first search results that match the search keyword comprises: presenting a first portion of the first search results matching a size of the search results page; and presenting, in the search results page, the portion of the first search results that has not been presented to the user comprises presenting, in the search results page, a second portion of the first search results different from the first portion.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein obtaining the second search results matching the search keyword comprises: obtaining the second search results based on a portion of the first search results that has been browsed by the user.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein obtaining the second search results based on the portion of the first search results that has been browsed by the user comprises: determining a point of interest of the user based on the portion of the first search results that has been browsed by the user; updating the search keyword based on the point of interest; and obtaining the second search results based on the updated search keyword.

5. The method of claim 3, wherein obtaining the second search results based on the portion of the first search results that has been browsed by the user comprises: adjusting an order of result items in the second search results based on the portion of the first search results that has been browsed by the user.

The method of claim 1, further comprising detecting the update request based on: detecting a motion of an object on a touch-sensitive display for displaying the search results page; in response to determining that the motion is detected, causing the first search results to translate in a direction of the motion, the direction of the motion comprising any of: a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, and a diagonal direction; and in response to determining that the first search results are moving away from an edge of the search results page during the translation in the direction of the motion, and the object is still detected on the touch-sensitive display, determining that the update request is detected.

7. The method of claim 6, further comprising: in response to still detecting the object on the touch-sensitive display, presenting progress in retrieving the second search result in an area of the search results page outside of the edge of the first search result.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein presenting the portion of the first search result that has not been presented to the user in the search results page comprises: in response to no longer detecting the object on the touch-sensitive display, providing the portion of the first search result that has not been presented to the user in the search results page.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising: detecting another movement of an object on the touch-sensitive display; and in response to detecting the other movement, causing the second search result to translate in a direction of the other movement.

10. An apparatus for updating search results, comprising: a search module configured to perform a first search based on a search keyword; a first presentation module configured to present a first search result matching the search keyword in a search results page of the first search; a retrieval module configured to perform a second search different from the first search to retrieve a second search result matching the search keyword based on an update request to update the first search result, the first search and the second search being performed based on the same search keyword; a second presentation module configured to present a portion of the first search result that has not been presented to a user in the search results page in response to determining that the second search result is consistent with the first search result; a difference presentation module configured to present a difference between the second search result and the first search result in the search results page in response to determining that the second search result is inconsistent with the first search result; and a same portion presentation module configured to present a same portion between the second search result and the first search result after the difference is presented in the search results page.

11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the first rendering module comprises: a first portion presentation module configured to present a first portion of the first search result matching a size of the search results page; and the second presentation module comprises a second portion presentation module configured to present a second portion of the first search result different from the first portion in the search results page.

12. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the retrieval module comprises: a browsing-based retrieval module configured to retrieve the second search result based on a portion of the first search result that has been browsed by the user.

13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the browsing-based retrieval module comprises: a point-of-interest determination module configured to determine a point of interest of the user based on the portion of the first search result that has been browsed by the user; an update module configured to update the search keyword based on the point of interest; and an updated retrieval module configured to retrieve the second search result based on the updated search keyword.

14. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the browse-based fetching module comprises: an adjusting module configured to adjust an order of result items in the second search results based on the portion of the first search results that has been browsed by the user.

The apparatus of claim 10, further comprising a detecting module configured to detect the update request, comprising: a motion detecting module configured to detect a motion of an object on a touch- sensitive display used to display the search results page; a panning module configured to cause the first search results to pan in a direction of the motion in response to determining that the motion is detected, the direction of the motion comprising any of: a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, and a diagonal direction; and a request detecting module configured to determine that the update request is detected in response to determining that the first search results move away from an edge of the search results page along the direction of the motion and the object is still detected on the touch-sensitive display during the panning of the first search results along the direction of the motion. a progress displaying module configured to present a progress of fetching the second search results in an area of the search results page outside of the edge of the first search results in response to the object being still detected on the touch-sensitive display, wherein 16. The apparatus of claim 15, further comprising: the second presenting module is further configured to provide the portion of the first search results that has not been presented to the user in the search results page in response to the object no longer being detected on the touch-sensitive display.

An electronic device, comprising: at least one processing unit; and at least one memory that is coupled to the at least one processing unit and stores instructions for execution by the at least one processing unit, the instructions, when executed by the at least one processing unit, cause the electronic device to perform the method of any of claims 1-9.
