Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This disclosure relates to an electric razor. Background Technology
[0002] An electric shaver is known to combine shaving for body hair and skin care for the skin (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The head of this electric shaver comprises: an outer blade, an inner blade that reciprocates linearly relative to the outer blade, and an electrode portion for supplying a weak electric current to the skin surface. The outer blade has a pair of mesh outer blades and a slit blade disposed between the pair of mesh outer blades. The electrode portion is disposed between one of the mesh outer blades and the slit blade.
[0003] With the outer blade in contact with the skin, the inner blade reciprocates linearly relative to the outer blade, thereby cutting the hair penetrating the blade hole of the outer blade by the clamping action of the inner and outer blades. Additionally, with the electrode in contact with the skin, a weak current is supplied to the skin, enabling skin care.

[0007] However, in the aforementioned existing electric shavers, the following problem arises: even when the user only wants to care for the skin surface, the outer blade and the electrode part are in contact with the skin surface at the same time, so the skin surface may be damaged by the outer blade.
[0008] This disclosure was made in view of the following problem, and its purpose is to provide an electric razor that can suppress damage to the skin surface by the outer blade and can effectively care for the skin surface.
[0009] To address the aforementioned issues, one disclosed electric shaver comprises: an outer blade that contacts the skin surface; an inner blade that, by reciprocating linearly relative to the outer blade, works in conjunction with the outer blade to cut body hair on the skin surface; and an electrode that contacts the skin surface and supplies a weak current to the skin surface, the electrode comprising: a first electrode portion having a first electrode surface arranged parallel to the outer blade; and a second electrode portion having a second electrode surface that extends from the first electrode surface in a direction intersecting the first electrode surface.
[0010] An electric razor according to the present disclosure can suppress damage to the skin surface from the outer blade and can effectively care for the skin surface. Attached Figure Description

[0034] (Implementation Method)
[0035] [1. Overall Structure of an Electric Shaver]
[0036] First, refer to Figures 1A to 1D The overall structure of the electric razor 2 according to the embodiment will be described. Figure 1A This is a perspective view of the electric razor 2 as shown in the embodiment. Figure 1B This is a front view of the electric razor 2, representing the implementation method. Figure 1C This is a side view of the electric razor 2 as shown in the embodiment. Figure 1D This is a rear view of the electric razor 2 as shown in the embodiment.
[0037] In addition, Figures 1A to 1DIn this model, the left-right direction of the electric shaver 2 is set as the X-axis direction, the front-back direction of the electric shaver 2 is set as the Y-axis direction, and the up-down direction of the electric shaver 2 is set as the Z-axis direction.
[0038] The electric shaver 2 of this embodiment is an electric shaver that combines a shaving function for trimming body hair (beard) growing on the skin surface of the human body with a skin care function for moisturizing the skin surface of the human body. For example... Figures 1A to 1D As shown, the electric razor 2 has a razor body 4 and a blade head 6.
[0039] The razor body 4 has a grip portion 8 and a connecting portion 10. The grip portion 8 is formed into a generally bottomed cylindrical shape and is elongated along the vertical direction (Z-axis direction). The grip portion 8 is formed, for example, from resin. When using the electric razor 2, the user holds the grip portion 8 with their hand. In addition, a secondary battery (not shown) for supplying power to various electronic components is disposed inside the grip portion 8.
[0040] like Figure 1A and Figure 1B As shown, a power switch 12, a current switching switch 14, and a temperature switching switch 16 are disposed on the front surface 8a of the grip portion 8. The power switch 12 is used to switch the power supply to the electric shaver 2 on and off. The current switching switch 14 is used to switch the weak current supplied from the electrode 30 (described later) to the skin surface to, for example, three levels ("strong", "weak", "off"). The temperature switching switch 16 is used to switch the temperature of the electrode 30 to, for example, three levels ("high", "low", "off").
[0041] like Figure 1C and Figure 1D As shown, a counter electrode portion 18, for example made of metal, is disposed on the back surface 8b of the grip portion 8. The counter electrode portion 18 is formed in an elongated shape along the length direction (Z-axis direction) of the grip portion 8. Preferably, the counter electrode portion 18 has a configuration, shape, and size that allows the user's palm or fingers to reliably contact the counter electrode portion 18 when the user holds the grip portion 8. Furthermore, the material of the counter electrode portion 18 is not limited to metal; for example, it may be a conductive resin or a material with a metal plating coating on the surface of an insulating resin.
[0042] The connecting part 10 is disposed at one end of the gripping part 8 along its length. The connecting part 10 enables the cutter head 6 to be connected to the gripping part 8 in a forward-backward direction (Y-axis direction) or a left-right direction (X-axis direction), or both directions, by swinging relative to the gripping part 8.
[0043] The razor head 6 has a blade 20 for shaving body hair growing on the skin surface while in contact with it. Furthermore, the razor head 6 can swing relative to the razor body 4 in a forward-backward or left-right direction, or both. Thus, when the user holds the grip 8 and presses the blade 20 of the razor head 6 against the skin surface while moving the blade 20 across the skin, the blade 20 conforms closely to the shape of the skin surface.
[0044] [2. Construction of the cutting head]
[0045] Next, refer to Figures 2 to 8B The structure of the cutter head 6 will be explained. Figure 2 This is a perspective view of the blade 6 in the embodiment. Figure 3 This is a front view of the blade head 6 in the embodiment. Figure 4 This is a top view showing the cutter head 6 in the embodiment. Figure 5 This is a side view of the blade 6 in the embodiment. Figure 6 yes Figure 4 A cross-sectional view of the main part of the cutter head 6 in the implementation of the VI-VI line. Figure 7A This is a rear view of the cutter head 6 in the embodiment with the outer blade box 34 removed. Figure 7B This is a top view of the cutter head 6 in the embodiment with the outer blade box 34 removed. Figure 8A This is a diagram illustrating the configuration of the first temperature sensor 48 and the second temperature sensor 50 in the cutter head 6 of the embodiment. Figure 8B This is a perspective view showing the first temperature sensor 48 in the embodiment.
[0046] like Figures 2-5 As shown, the cutter head 6 has a cutter holder 22, an outer blade 24, a roller 26, an inner blade 28, and an electrode 30.
[0047] The tool holder 22 has a frame 32 and an outer blade box 34. The frame 32 is connected to one end of the gripping part 8 along its length via a connecting part 10, allowing it to swing in a forward-backward or left-right or both directions. The outer blade box 34 is detachably mounted to the frame 32.
[0048] The outer blade 24 is supported by the outer blade housing 34. The outer blade 24 has three outer blades: a first mesh outer blade 24a, a slit blade 24b, and a second mesh outer blade 24c. The first mesh outer blade 24a, slit blade 24b, and second mesh outer blade 24c are arranged side-by-side in the front-rear direction. The aforementioned cutting surface 20 is defined by the first mesh outer blade 24a, slit blade 24b, and second mesh outer blade 24c. Furthermore, each of the first mesh outer blade 24a, slit blade 24b, and second mesh outer blade 24c can be formed of, for example, a metal such as stainless steel, or it can be formed of resin. In this embodiment, the outer blade 24 is provided to have three outer blades, but it is not limited to this; the outer blade 24 may have any number of outer blades.
[0049] like Figure 2 and Figure 4 As shown, the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c are formed into elongated strips along the left-right direction (X-axis direction) (an example of a predetermined direction), and are arranged approximately parallel to each other. Figure 3 In the XZ front view shown, the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c are each formed into a smooth curved shape that curves along the length direction (X-axis direction) in a manner that protrudes upwards (towards the positive side of the Z-axis). Furthermore, in Figure 5 In the YZ side view shown, the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c are formed by bending in an inverted U-shape along the short side direction (Y-axis direction) in an upward convex manner. In addition, multiple blade holes (not shown) are formed in the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c respectively.
[0050] like Figure 2 and Figure 4 As shown, the slit blade 24b is formed into a long strip along the left-right direction, and is arranged approximately parallel to the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c, respectively. Figure 5 In the YZ side view shown, the slit blade 24b is formed in a roughly inverted U-shape along the short side direction (Y-axis direction). That is, the upper surface of the slit blade 24b (the surface defining the blade face 20) is formed by a flat surface. Multiple slit-shaped blade holes 36 are formed in the slit blade 24b (see reference). Figure 4 ).
[0051] like Figure 2 and Figure 4 As shown, roller 26 is rotatably supported on outer blade box 34. Roller 26 is elongated in the left-right direction and is disposed between the first mesh outer blade 24a and the first electrode portion 42 (described later) of electrode 30. Figure 6As shown, the roller 26 protrudes towards the skin surface (positive side of the Z-axis) from the blade surface 20 of the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a (described later) of the first electrode portion 42. That is, the roller 26 protrudes towards the skin surface (positive side of the Z-axis) from the plane 38 containing the blade surface 20 and the first electrode surface 42a. Figure 6 (Used as a single-dot dashed line) protrudes towards the side of the skin.
[0052] like Figure 7A As shown, the inner blade 28 is supported on the frame 32 via the inner blade drive member 40 and is disposed between the outer blade 24 and the frame 32. Figure 7B As shown, the inner blade 28 has three inner blades, namely the first inner blade 28a, the slit inner blade 28b, and the second inner blade 28c. The first inner blade 28a, the slit inner blade 28b, and the second inner blade 28c are respectively arranged opposite to the first mesh outer blade 24a, the slit blade 24b, and the second mesh outer blade 24c.
[0053] By driving the inner blade drive member 40, the first inner blade 28a, the slit inner blade 28b, and the second inner blade 28c reciprocate linearly in the left-right direction with a predetermined amplitude relative to the first mesh outer blade 24a, the slit blade 24b, and the second mesh outer blade 24c, respectively. As a result, the hair penetrating the blade holes of the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c, as well as the blade hole 36 of the slit blade 24b, is cut off by clamping based on the coordinated action of the first mesh outer blade 24a, the slit blade 24b, and the second mesh outer blade 24c with the first inner blade 28a, the slit inner blade 28b, and the second inner blade 28c.
[0054] Electrode 30 is used for skin care by supplying a weak current to the skin surface while in contact with it. For example... Figures 2-5 As shown, electrode 30 is formed of metal, for example, and is supported by outer blade housing 34. Electrode 30 has a first electrode portion 42 and a second electrode portion 44, and is integrally formed as a plate that is approximately inverted J-shaped in the YZ cross-sectional view. Furthermore, the material of electrode 30 is not limited to metal; for example, it may be a conductive resin or a material with a metal plating coating on the surface of an insulating resin.
[0055] like Figures 2-5 As shown, the first electrode portion 42 is disposed on the top surface of the cutting head 6 (the surface on which the cutting surface 20 is disposed). A first electrode surface 42a is formed on the outer surface of the first electrode portion 42. The first electrode surface 42a and the cutting surface 20 are arranged side by side in the front-back direction (a direction that is approximately perpendicular to the left-right direction).
[0056] like Figure 3As shown, the first electrode surface 42a is formed into a smooth curved shape that curves in the left-right direction, protruding upwards. The curvature of the smooth curved shape of the first electrode surface 42a is the same (or approximately the same) as the curvature of the smooth curved shapes of the first mesh outer blade 24a and the second mesh outer blade 24c. Therefore, in the first mode described later, when the blade surface 20 and the first electrode surface 42a simultaneously contact the skin surface, the blade surface 20 and the first electrode surface 42a can be pressed against the skin surface with approximately the same pressure. As a result, the situation where only the blade surface 20 is pressed forcefully against the skin surface can be avoided, thus allowing for gentle skin care. Furthermore, the situation where only the first electrode surface 42a is pressed forcefully against the skin surface can also be avoided, thus allowing the blade surface 20 to firmly and closely adhere to the skin surface, enabling effective shaving.
[0057] like Figures 2-5 As shown, the second electrode portion 44 is disposed on the front side of the cutter head 6 (the surface that hangs down from the top of the cutter head 6 toward the front surface 8a of the grip portion 8). A second electrode surface 44a is formed on the outer surface of the second electrode portion 44. The second electrode surface 44a extends continuously from the first electrode surface 42a. Specifically, the second electrode surface 44a hangs down from the first electrode surface 42a in a direction intersecting the first electrode surface 42a (the negative side of the Z-axis). The second electrode surface 44a has an area larger than that of the first electrode surface 42a.
[0058] like Figure 4 As shown, when the blade surface 20 is viewed from above in the XY direction, the second electrode surface 44a is formed into a smooth curved shape that curves in the left-right direction, protruding forward (to the negative side of the Y-axis). Therefore, in the second mode described later, when the second electrode surface 44a comes into contact with the skin surface, for example, the second electrode surface 44a can be made to fit efficiently with the concave surface of the face.
[0059] In addition, such as Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, the boundary 46 between the first electrode surface 42a and the second electrode surface 44a is formed into a rounded corner shape. Therefore, when the blade surface 20 and the first electrode surface 42a simultaneously contact the skin surface in the first mode described later, and when the second electrode surface 44a contacts the skin surface in the second mode described later, it can be ensured that the contact area of the first electrode surface 42a or the second electrode surface 44a relative to the skin surface is large.
[0060] like Figure 8AAs shown, a first temperature sensor 48 and a second temperature sensor 50 (an example of a temperature sensor) are embedded in the first electrode surface 42a and the second electrode surface 44a, respectively. The first temperature sensor 48 detects the temperature of the skin surface in contact with the first electrode surface 42a. The second temperature sensor 50 detects the temperature of the skin surface in contact with the second electrode surface 44a. Figure 8B (a) and Figure 8B As shown in (b), the first temperature sensor 48 includes a temperature detection block 52 and an insulating sheet 54. The temperature detection block 52 detects the temperature of the skin surface in contact with the first electrode surface 42a and outputs temperature data representing the detected temperature to the control unit 62 (described later). The insulating sheet 54 is configured to cover the surface of the temperature detection block 52, blocking heat transfer from the first electrode 42 to the temperature detection block 52. The structure of the second temperature sensor 50 is the same as that of the first temperature sensor 48, so its description is omitted.
[0061] [3. Functional Structure of Electric Shavers]
[0062] Next, refer to Figures 9-13 The functional structure of the electric razor 2 in the embodiment will be explained. Figure 9 This is a block diagram illustrating the functional structure of the electric razor 2 in the embodiment. Figures 10-13 These are figures illustrating an example of the voltage application mode applied to the electrodes 30 of the electric razor 2 in the embodiment.
[0063] like Figure 9 As shown, the electric shaver 2 has a functional structure comprising a first temperature sensor 48, a second temperature sensor 50, a drive unit 56, a voltage supply unit 58, a heater 60, and a control unit 62.
[0064] The first temperature sensor 48 detects the temperature of the skin surface in contact with the first electrode surface 42a and outputs temperature data indicating the detected temperature to the control unit 62. The second temperature sensor 50 detects the temperature of the skin surface in contact with the second electrode surface 44a and outputs temperature data indicating the detected temperature to the control unit 62.
[0065] The drive unit 56 is a motor used to drive the inner blade drive unit 40. Although in Figures 1A to 1D Although not shown in the figure, the drive unit 56 is, for example, disposed inside the razor body 4.
[0066] The voltage supply unit 58 is a voltage supply source for applying a predetermined voltage to the electrode 30. Although in Figures 1A to 1DAlthough not shown in the diagram, the voltage supply unit 58 is, for example, disposed inside the razor body 4. The voltage supply unit 58 applies a predetermined voltage to the electrode 30, thereby supplying a weak current, for example, about a few μA, to the skin surface in contact with the electrode 30. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that a biocurrent of 100μA to 200μA flows in the human body, and by allowing a weak current close to this biocurrent to flow from outside the body into the human body, the natural healing power is enhanced.
[0067] The voltage supply unit 58 can apply a) Figure 10 The DC voltage of a certain voltage value L1 shown, b) Figure 11 The DC voltage of the rectangular wave L2 shown, c) Figure 12 The AC voltage of the sinusoidal wave L3 shown, or d) Figure 13 The rectangular wave L4 shown is used as the AC voltage to apply a predetermined voltage to electrode 30. Alternatively, although not shown, the voltage supply unit 58 can also apply an AC voltage such as a triangular wave as the predetermined voltage to electrode 30. Furthermore, in Figure 10 In the example shown, preferably, the voltage supply unit 58 applies a DC voltage of a certain value V1 within the range of 0.01V to 20V to the electrode 30 to activate the skin tissue on the skin surface. If the certain voltage value L1 is lower than 0.01V, it is impossible to maintain the skin surface at a normal potential. On the other hand, if the certain voltage value L1 exceeds 20V, excessive current may flow through the skin surface, causing a reduction in skin cells due to electrolysis.
[0068] The predetermined voltage applied by the voltage supply unit 58 can be any type of voltage, such as a constant voltage, a pulsed voltage, or a voltage whose value varies periodically. For example, when the predetermined voltage is a DC voltage and the voltage value varies, such as a pulsed voltage (60Hz to 1MHz), it is preferable that the average voltage value or the peak voltage value is within the aforementioned range of 0.01V to 20V. Furthermore, when performing constant current control, it is preferable that the average voltage value of the predetermined voltage is within the aforementioned range of 0.01V to 20V. On the other hand, when the predetermined voltage is an AC voltage, it is preferable that the peak voltage value of the predetermined voltage is within the aforementioned range of 0.01V to 20V. Here, when the predetermined voltage is an AC voltage, even if the voltage value is low, a weak current can be supplied to the skin surface, and even if the voltage value is high, the electric shock pain experienced by the user can be reduced by increasing the frequency.
[0069] Furthermore, this embodiment describes the case where the voltage supply unit 58 performs constant voltage control, but it is not limited to this and may also perform constant current control. In this case, the voltage value varies depending on conditions, etc., so it is also preferable that the average voltage value or peak voltage value is in the range of 0.01V to 20V.
[0070] Heater 60 is a heat source used to heat electrode 30. Although in Figures 1A to 1D Not shown in the figure, but the heater 60 is, for example, disposed inside the cutter head 6.
[0071] The control unit 62 controls the drive unit 56 based on the user's operation of the power switch 12. Specifically, when the user operates the power switch 12 to turn on the power to the electric razor 2, the control unit 62 controls the drive unit 56 to drive the inner blade drive member 40. When the user operates the power switch 12 to turn off the power to the electric razor 2, the control unit 62 controls the drive unit 56 to stop the drive of the inner blade drive member 40.
[0072] Furthermore, the control unit 62 can also control the drive unit 56 based on the detection results of the first temperature sensor 48 or the second temperature sensor 50. Specifically, if the temperature of the skin surface detected by the first temperature sensor 48 or the second temperature sensor 50 is above a threshold, the control unit 62 determines that inflammation has occurred on the skin surface and controls the drive unit 56 to reduce the amplitude of the inner blade 28. This reduces the burden on the skin surface during trimming. On the other hand, if the temperature of the skin surface detected by the first temperature sensor 48 or the second temperature sensor 50 is below the aforementioned threshold, the control unit 62 determines that the skin surface is in good condition and controls the drive unit 56 to increase the amplitude of the inner blade 28. This allows for deep shaving of body hair during trimming.
[0073] Furthermore, the control unit 62 controls the voltage supply unit 58 based on the user's operation of the current switching switch 14. Specifically, when the user operates the current switching switch 14 to switch the weak current supplied from the self-electrode 30 to the skin surface to "strong," the control unit 62 controls the voltage supply unit 58 to make the weak current supplied from the self-electrode 30 to the skin surface a first current value. When the user operates the current switching switch 14 to switch the weak current supplied from the self-electrode 30 to the skin surface to "weak," the control unit 62 controls the voltage supply unit 58 to make the weak current supplied from the self-electrode 30 to the skin surface a second current value smaller than the first current value. When the user operates the current switching switch 14 to switch the weak current supplied from the self-electrode 30 to the skin surface to "off," the control unit 62 controls the voltage supply unit 58 to stop the supply of the weak current from the self-electrode 30 to the skin surface.
[0074] Furthermore, the control unit 62 controls the drive unit 56 and the voltage supply unit 58, switching between one mode (simultaneous shaving and skin care) and the other (skin care only). In the first mode, the control unit 62 controls the drive unit 56 to drive the inner blade drive member 40 and controls the voltage supply unit 58 to supply a weak current from the electrode 30 to the skin surface. In the second mode, the control unit 62 controls the drive unit 56 to stop the drive of the inner blade drive member 40 and controls the voltage supply unit 58 to supply a weak current from the electrode 30 to the skin surface.
[0075] Furthermore, the control unit 62 controls the energization of the heater 60 based on the user's operation of the temperature switch 16. Specifically, when the user operates the temperature switch 16 to switch the temperature of the electrode 30 to "high," the control unit 62 controls the energization of the heater 60 to make the temperature of the electrode 30 a first temperature. When the user operates the temperature switch 16 to switch the temperature of the electrode 30 to "low," the control unit 62 controls the energization of the heater 60 to make the temperature of the electrode 30 a second temperature lower than the first temperature. When the user operates the temperature switch 16 to switch the temperature of the electrode 30 to "off," the control unit 62 stops the energization of the heater 60 to prevent the electrode 30 from being heated by the heater 60.
[0076] Furthermore, the control unit 62 can also control the energization of the heater 60 based on the detection results of the first temperature sensor 48 or the second temperature sensor 50. Specifically, the control unit 62 can also control the energization of the heater 60 so that the temperature of the electrode 30 is higher (or lower) than the temperature of the skin surface. In this way, the control unit 62 adjusts the temperature of the electrode 30 according to the temperature of the skin surface, thereby allowing the user to contact the electrode 30 with the skin surface at a comfortable temperature during shaving or skin care. In addition, by maintaining an appropriate temperature difference between the skin surface and the electrode 30, skin care can be performed at an appropriate temperature regardless of the time or place of using the electric shaver 2.
[0077] Furthermore, the control unit 62 can also control the heater 60 to make the temperature of the electrode 30 different in the first mode and the second mode. Specifically, the control unit 62 can, for example, control the heater 60 to make the temperature of the electrode 30 in the first mode higher than the temperature of the electrode 30 in the second mode. Thus, even if the appropriate temperature of the electrode 30 differs in each of the first and second modes, the user can make the electrode 30 contact the skin at a comfortable temperature in either the first or second mode.

[0080] Next, refer to Figure 14A The method of using the electric razor 2 according to the embodiment will be described. Figure 14A This is a diagram illustrating the usage method of the electric razor 2 in the first mode of the embodiment.
[0081] The user operates the power switch 12 to turn on the power to the electric shaver 2, thereby switching the control unit 62 to the first mode, which simultaneously performs shaving and skin care.
[0082] like Figure 14A As shown, the user holds the grip 8 with their hand, causing the blade 20 of the razor head 6 and the first electrode surface 42a of the first electrode portion 42 of the electrode 30 to simultaneously contact the skin surface. Thus, while shaving body hair on the skin surface in contact with the blade 20, a weak current, for example, about a few μA, is supplied to the skin surface from the first electrode portion 42 for skin care.
[0083] Furthermore, when the user holds the grip 8 and presses the shaving head 6 against the skin, the roller 26 bears the maximum force required to press the shaving head 6 against the skin. As a result, the rotating roller 26 reduces frictional resistance, allowing the shaving head 20 and the first electrode surface 42a to slide smoothly across the skin with minimal friction while firmly pressing them against the skin. Consequently, it reduces strain on the skin and allows for simultaneous shaving and skin care.
[0084] In this way, by simultaneously shaving and caring for the skin, especially in cases of rough skin, a weak electric current can repair damaged skin tissue, thereby restoring and promoting the barrier function of the stratum corneum. As a result, the shaved skin becomes moist and smooth, improving its overall condition. Furthermore, because a weak electric current is supplied to the skin, the electrical stimulation to the user is also weak, causing no electric shock. Moreover, since the electrode 30 does not make electrical contact with the outer blade 24 of the shaving head 6, even if the outer blade 24 is made of metal, it will not be electro-oxidized and corroded, particularly preventing electro-erosion of the pointed tip of the metal blade 20 and thus avoiding blade damage.
[0085] Furthermore, when the user holds the grip portion 8, the user's palm or fingers come into contact with the counter electrode portion 18 disposed on the grip portion 8. Thus, when the first electrode surface 42a comes into contact with the skin surface being shaved, a closed circuit is formed between the electrode 30 and the counter electrode portion 18 via the user's body. As a result, a weak current can easily flow through the user's body, consistently applying a voltage with the same potential to the skin surface being shaved. Additionally, since the user's palm or fingers come into contact with the counter electrode portion 18 simply by holding the grip portion 8, the effect of weak electrical stimulation can be enhanced by utilizing the grip portion 8.
[0086] Furthermore, when a DC voltage is applied to the electrode 30, by setting the electrode 30 as the cathode and the electrode portion 18 of the counter electrode as the anode, a negative potential can be applied to the skin surface being shaved. This allows the skin surface to be maintained at a normal potential state, enabling effective skin care.
[0087] [4-2. How to use in Mode 2]
[0088] Next, refer to Figure 14B The method of using the electric razor 2 according to the embodiment will be described. Figure 14B This is a diagram illustrating the usage method of the electric razor 2 in the second mode of the embodiment.
[0089] The user operates the current switching switch 14 to switch the weak current supplied from the electrode 30 to the skin surface to "strong" or "weak". As a result, the control unit 62 switches to the second mode, which only performs skin surface care.
[0090] like Figure 14B As shown, the user holds the grip part 8 with their hand, causing the second electrode surface 44a of the second electrode part 44 of the electrode 30 to contact the skin surface. At this time, the blade surface 20 does not contact the skin surface. Therefore, no trimming is performed, but only skin care is performed by supplying a weak current, for example, about a few μA, from the second electrode part 44 to the skin surface. In addition, since the control unit 62 stops the drive of the inner blade drive member 40, the unnecessary consumption of the secondary battery built into the electric shaver 2 can be suppressed.
[0091] [5. Effects]
[0092] As described above, in this embodiment, the electric razor 2 includes: an outer blade 24 that contacts the skin surface; an inner blade 28 that moves in a reciprocating linear motion relative to the outer blade 24 to cooperate with the outer blade 24 in cutting body hair on the skin surface; and an electrode 30 that contacts the skin surface and supplies a weak current to the skin surface. The electrode 30 includes: a first electrode portion 42 having a first electrode surface 42a arranged parallel to the outer blade 24; and a second electrode portion 44 having a second electrode surface 44a that extends from the first electrode surface 42a in a direction intersecting the first electrode surface 42a.
[0093] Therefore, when a user wants to perform shaving and skin care simultaneously, the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a can be brought into contact with the skin surface at the same time. Alternatively, when the user only wants to care for the skin surface, the outer blade 24 can be kept out of contact with the skin surface, and only the second electrode surface 44a can be brought into contact with the skin surface. Thus, when the user only wants to care for the skin surface, damage to the skin surface from the outer blade 24 can be minimized, and skin care can be performed effectively.
[0094] In addition, in this embodiment, the boundary portion 46 between the first electrode surface 42a and the second electrode surface 44a is formed into a rounded corner shape.
[0095] Thus, for example, when the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a are in contact with the skin surface at the same time, or when only the second electrode surface 44a is in contact with the skin surface, it can be ensured that the contact area of the first electrode surface 42a or the second electrode surface 44a relative to the skin surface is large.
[0096] In addition, in this embodiment, the outer blade 24 is formed into an elongated shape along a predetermined direction and into a smooth curved shape along the predetermined direction. The first electrode surface 42a is arranged side by side with the outer blade 24 in a direction perpendicular (including substantially perpendicular) to the predetermined direction, and is formed into a smooth curved shape along the predetermined direction with the same (including substantially the same) curvature as the smooth curved shape of the outer blade 24.
[0097] Therefore, for example, when the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a simultaneously contact the skin surface, the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a can be pressed against the skin surface with approximately the same pressure. As a result, it is possible to avoid the situation where only the outer blade 24 is pressed forcefully against the skin surface, thus allowing for gentle skin care. In addition, it is also possible to avoid the situation where only the first electrode surface 42a is pressed forcefully against the skin surface, thus ensuring that the outer blade 24 is securely and closely adhered to the skin surface, enabling effective trimming.
[0098] In addition, in this embodiment, when viewed from above, the second electrode surface 44a is formed into a smooth curved shape.
[0099] Thus, for example, when only the second electrode surface 44a is in contact with the skin surface, the second electrode surface 44a can be efficiently fitted to the concave surface of the face.
[0100] In addition, in this embodiment, the electric shaver 2 also includes a roller 26, which is disposed between the outer blade 24 and the first electrode portion 42 and protrudes toward the skin surface from the outer blade 24 and the first electrode portion 42.
[0101] Therefore, when the user presses the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a simultaneously onto the skin, the roller 26 bears the maximum force required to press the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a onto the skin. As a result, the rotating roller 26 reduces frictional resistance, allowing the blade surface 20 and the first electrode surface 42a to slide across the skin with minimal friction while firmly pressing the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a onto the skin. Consequently, it is possible to reduce strain on the skin and simultaneously perform shaving and skin care.
[0102] In addition, in this embodiment, the electric shaver 2 further includes: a drive unit 56 that causes the inner blade 28 to reciprocate linearly relative to the outer blade 24; and a control unit 62 that controls the switching between a first mode in which the drive unit 56 is driven and a weak current is supplied from the electrode 30 to the skin surface, and a second mode in which the drive unit 56 is stopped and a weak current is supplied from the electrode 30 to the skin surface.
[0103] Therefore, since the same electrode 30 is used in both modes, the electric shaver 2 can be made more compact, and the electrode 30 can easily come into contact with the target area of the skin.
[0104] In addition, in this embodiment, the control unit 62 controls the temperature of the electrode 30 based on the temperature of the skin surface.
[0105] Therefore, during shaving or skin care, the user can bring the electrode 30 into contact with the skin at a comfortable temperature.
[0106] In addition, in this embodiment, the control unit 62 performs control to make the temperature of the electrode 30 different in the first mode and the second mode.
[0107] Therefore, even if the appropriate temperature of electrode 30 differs in each of the first and second modes, the user can make electrode 30 contact with the skin at a comfortable temperature in either the first or second mode.
[0108] In addition, in this embodiment, the electric shaver 2 also includes a first temperature sensor 48 (a second temperature sensor 50) for detecting the temperature of the skin surface in contact with the electrode 30. The control unit 62 controls the electrode 30 or the drive unit 56 based on the detection result of the first temperature sensor 48 (the second temperature sensor 50).
[0109] Therefore, the electrode 30 or the drive unit 56 can be appropriately controlled according to the temperature of the skin surface.
[0110] In addition, in this embodiment, the control unit 62 controls the amplitude of the inner blade 28 based on the detection results of the first temperature sensor 48 (the second temperature sensor 50).
[0111] Therefore, it is possible to trim the shave appropriately according to the temperature of the skin surface.
[0112] In addition, in this embodiment, the control unit 62 controls the temperature of the electrode 30 based on the detection results of the first temperature sensor 48 (the second temperature sensor 50).
[0113] Therefore, skin care can be performed appropriately according to the temperature of the skin surface.
[0114] In addition, in this embodiment, the electric shaver 2 has an outer blade 24 and an electrode 30 in the head 6. The electrode 30 has a first electrode surface 42a arranged in parallel with the outer blade 24 and a second electrode surface 44a extending downward from the first electrode surface 42a toward the front side of the head 6.
[0115] Therefore, when a user wants to perform shaving and skin care simultaneously, the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a can be brought into contact with the skin surface at the same time.
[0116] In addition, in this embodiment, the boundary portion 46 between the first electrode surface 42a and the second electrode surface 44a is formed into a rounded corner shape.
[0117] Thus, for example, when the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a are in contact with the skin surface at the same time, or when only the second electrode surface 44a is in contact with the skin surface, it can be ensured that the contact area of the first electrode surface 42a or the second electrode surface 44a relative to the skin surface is large.
[0118] In addition, in this embodiment, the outer blade 24 is formed into an elongated shape along a predetermined direction and into a smooth curved shape along the predetermined direction.
[0119] Therefore, for example, when the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a simultaneously contact the skin surface, the outer blade 24 and the first electrode surface 42a can be pressed against the skin surface with approximately the same pressure.
[0120] In addition, in this embodiment, when viewed from above, the second electrode surface 44a is formed into a smooth curved shape.
[0121] Thus, for example, when only the second electrode surface 44a is in contact with the skin surface, the second electrode surface 44a can be efficiently fitted to the concave surface of the face.
[0122] Furthermore, the control unit 62 may include, for example, a microcontroller having one or more processors and one or more memories. In the microcontroller, the one or more processors execute a program recorded in one or more memories, thereby realizing the function of the control unit 62. The program can be pre-recorded in memory, provided by recording it on a non-temporary storage medium such as a memory card, or provided via an electrical communication line. In other words, the program described above is a program used to enable one or more processors to function as the control unit 62.
