[0022] [Explanation of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure]

[0023] First, an embodiment of the present disclosure will be explained.

[0024] The terminal member of the present disclosure is configured so that

[0025] (1) The connector is provided with: a cylindrical connecting portion; a protrusion for locking, which is provided so as to protrude outward from the cylindrical connecting portion, and is locked to a groove of a housing; and a protrusion for stopping, which is provided so as to protrude outward from an abutting edge of the cylindrical connecting portion, which abuts in the circumferential direction, and is stopped by the housing. According to such a structure, by stopping the protrusion for stopping by the housing, insertion of the terminal member is prevented. Therefore, the amount of insertion of the terminal member into the housing can be easily managed. In addition, the protrusion for stopping is provided to the abutting edge of the cylindrical connecting portion. Therefore, the protrusion for stopping can be provided without forming an opening in the cylindrical connecting portion.

[0026] (2) It is preferable that a lead portion for connecting to a circuit board is provided, the lead portion extends to one side of the outer periphery of the cylindrical connecting portion, and the protrusion for stopping is provided to the one side of the cylindrical connecting portion. This is because: according to such a structure, the side to which the abutting edge of the cylindrical connecting portion abuts and the side to which the lead portion extends become the same side, and therefore the terminal member can be easily manufactured.

[0027] The connector of the present disclosure is configured so that

[0028] (1) The terminal member; and a housing into which the terminal member is inserted, the housing having a groove for stopping into which the protrusion for stopping enters, the groove for stopping being open on the outside of the housing. According to such a structure, the groove for stopping and the protrusion for stopping can be visually confirmed from the outside, and therefore the amount of insertion of the terminal member into the housing can be easily managed.

[0029] [Details of the embodiments of the present disclosure]

[0030] Hereinafter, a specific example of the connector C of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. In addition, the present disclosure is not limited to these examples, but is shown by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims.

[0031] The connector C is mounted on a not-shown automobile, and is used for high-speed communication between vehicle-mounted electrical fixtures. The connector C is connected to a not-shown counterpart connector provided at the tip of a coaxial cable.

[0032] Hereinafter, in each of the constituent components, the positive direction side of the X axis (the side connected to the counterpart connector) of the Figure 1 is set as the front side, the negative direction side of the X axis of the Figure 1 is set as the rear side, the positive direction side of the Y axis of the Figure 1 is set as the upper side, the negative direction side of the Y axis of the Figure 1 is set as the lower side, the positive direction side of the Z axis of the Figure 1 is set as the right side, and the negative direction side of the Z axis of the Figure 1 is set as the left side.

[0033] As shown in Figure 1 , the connector C has a terminal part T and a housing 60. The connector C is fixed to a circuit board 10 of an electrical device or the like. The terminal part T is a shielded terminal.

[0034] As shown in Figure 2 , the terminal part T has an inner conductor 20, an outer conductor 40, and a dielectric 30. The inner conductor 20 is formed by press working a metal plate having excellent electrical conductivity. The inner conductor 20 has an inner conductor connecting portion 21, an inner conductor press-in portion 22, and an inner conductor lead portion 23. The inner conductor connecting portion 21 is connected to an inner conductor terminal of a counterpart connector. The inner conductor connecting portion 21 protrudes forward from the front surface of the dielectric 30.

[0035] As shown in Figure 3 , the inner conductor press-in portion 22 has an inner conductor holding protrusion 24 protruding outward from the outer surface. The inner conductor 20 is fixed to the dielectric 30 by having the inner conductor holding protrusion 24 bite into the dielectric 30.

[0036] As shown in Figure 2 , the inner conductor lead portion 23 extends downward on the rear side of the inner conductor press-in portion 22, and is bent rearward from the lower end thereof. The front end portion of the inner conductor lead portion 23 is connected to a signal pattern of the circuit board 10. The inner conductor lead portion 23 is disposed between the left and right outer conductor lead portions 42B, 42C (see Figure 3 ).

[0037] The dielectric 30 is formed of an insulating synthetic resin material having a predetermined relative dielectric constant. The dielectric 30 has a cylindrical shape. The inner conductor 20 is housed inside the dielectric 30. The dielectric 30 is housed inside the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The dielectric 30 holds the inner conductor 20 and the outer conductor 40 in an insulating state.

[0038] The outer conductor 40 is formed by press working a metal plate having excellent electrical conductivity. The outer conductor 40 has the cylindrical connecting portion 41 and an outer conductor lead portion 42.

[0039] As shown in Figure 4 , the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has a cylindrical shape. The front surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 is open.

[0040] As shown in Figure 5 , the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has a rear surface portion 43. The rear surface portion 43 closes the rear surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The rear surface portion 43 is bent downward from the upper end of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The lower end of the rear surface portion 43 is located lower than the lower end of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 (see Figure 6 ).

[0041] The rear end portion of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has a pair of left and right side portions 44. The rear edges of the pair of side portions 44 are connected to the left and right edges of the rear surface portion 43. The side portions 44 are formed by being bent forward from the left and right edges of the rear surface portion 43. The side portions 44 have locking portions 45. As shown in Figure 6 , the locking portions 45 protrude inward (to the center in the left-right direction) of the pair of side portions 44. The locking portions 45 are bent inward from the first slits 46 (see Figure 5 ). The locking portions 45 are caught by locked portions 47 provided to the cylindrical connecting portion 41.

[0042] As shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6 , the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has a pair of left and right locked portions 47. The locked portions 47 are provided to the rear end portion of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The locked portions 47 hang down to the left and right from the upper surface side of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The locking portions 45 come into contact with the front surfaces of the locked portions 47.

[0043] As shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6 , the locked portions 47 have contact portions 48. The contact portions 48 are bent inward (to the center in the left-right direction) from the rear ends of the pair of locked portions 47. The front surface of the rear surface portion 43 comes into contact with the contact portions 48. The locking portions 45 are caught by the locked portions 47, and the rear surface portion 43 comes into contact with the contact portions 48, whereby the rear surface portion 43 is held in a state in which the rear surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 is closed.

[0044] As shown in Figure 7As shown, the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has mating edges 49 that are joined together in the circumferential direction. The mating edges 49 are formed on the lower surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The mating edges 49 of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 have protrusions 49A and recesses 49B that are alternately arranged in the front-rear direction. The left and right mating edges 49 are closed when the protrusions 49A and recesses 49B are engaged. A stop protrusion 55 is provided on the mating edges 49. The stop protrusion 55 will be described in detail below.

[0045] like Figure 3 As shown, the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has a locking protrusion 51 that engages with a locking groove 66 formed in the housing 60. The locking protrusion 51 is pressed into the locking groove 66. The locking protrusion 51 protrudes outward from the outer periphery of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The locking protrusion 51 is formed by bending a portion of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 outward from the outer periphery. The locking protrusion 51 is provided at both ends of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 in the left-right direction. Figure 6 As shown, the locking protrusion 51 is roughly triangular in side view. The locking protrusion 51 is located at the center of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 in the front-rear direction.

[0046] like Figure 3 As shown, the cylindrical connecting portion 41 has a dielectric holding protrusion 52 for fixing the dielectric 30. The dielectric holding protrusion 52 protrudes towards the inner circumference of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The dielectric holding protrusion 52 is formed by bending a portion of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 inwardly. The dielectric holding protrusion 52 is located behind the locking protrusion 51. A second slit 53 is formed between the locking protrusion 51 and the dielectric holding protrusion 52. The second slit 53 penetrates the cylindrical connecting portion 41 in the inward and outward directions.

[0047] like Figure 2 As shown, the outer conductor lead portion 42 is connected to the circuit board 10. The outer conductor lead portion 42 extends downward from the lower surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The outer conductor lead portion 42 has a first lead portion 42A, a second lead portion 42B, and a third lead portion 42C. The first lead portion 42A is located in a position forward of the second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C. Figure 3 As shown, the second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C are aligned in the front-rear direction.

[0048] like Figure 2 As shown, the first lead portion 42A is formed by bending downward from the lower surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The first lead portion 42A is inserted into the connecting hole 11 formed on the circuit board 10. The first lead portion 42A is electrically connected to the first ground portion formed on the circuit board 10.

[0049] like Figure 3As shown, the second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C are disposed at the rear end of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C are disposed on the left and right sides of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C have the same shape. Figure 1 As shown, the second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C extend downward from the lower end of the rear surface portion 43 and bend rearward from their lower ends. The front ends of the second lead portion 42B and the third lead portion 42C are electrically connected to the first ground portion and the second ground portion formed on the surface of the circuit board 10, respectively.

[0050] In addition, such as Figure 6 As shown, a stop protrusion 55 is provided on the lower surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The stop protrusion 55 is located at the center of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 in the left-right direction.

[0051] The anti-blocking protrusion 55 bends outward from the right mating edge 49. For example... Figure 7 As shown, the abutment protrusion 55 is connected to the front end of the protrusion 49A of the mating edge 49 on the right side. The left and right sides of the abutment protrusion 55 are parallel to the front and back directions.

[0052] like Figure 2 As shown, the abutment protrusion 55 enters the abutment groove 67 formed in the housing 60. With the cylindrical connecting part 41 inserted into the housing 60 in its normal position, the front surface 55A of the abutment protrusion 55 contacts the front surface 67A of the abutment groove 67.

[0053] like Figure 5 As shown, the front surface 55A of the abutment protrusion 55 is perpendicular to the outer surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. The rear surface 55B of the abutment protrusion 55 is inclined in such a way that the protrusion size protruding from the cylindrical connecting portion 41 decreases rearward. The lower surface 55C of the abutment protrusion 55 is parallel to the insertion direction of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 into the cavity 65.

[0054] like Figure 8 As shown, in the unfolded state where the outer conductor 40 extends along a plane, it is sequentially connected from the rear side to the second lead portion 42B, the third lead portion 42C, the rear surface portion 43, and the cylindrical connecting portion 41. A stop protrusion 55 is provided on the right mating edge 49 of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 in the unfolded state. A first lead portion 42A is provided on the left mating edge 49 of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 in the unfolded state. The first lead portion 42A is connected to the left mating edge 49 and extends rearward. The rear surface 55B of the stop protrusion 55 in the unfolded state is parallel to the inclined surface 54 of the first lead portion 42A. This reduces the spacing between adjacent outer conductors 40 in the unfolded state.

[0055] The cylindrical connecting part 41 moves downward from the unfolded state. Figure 8 The middle (upper part) bends to allow mating with the mating edge 49. The abutment protrusion 55 bends downward from the right side of the mating edge 49. The entire length of the mating edge 49 is now closed.

[0056] like Figure 2 As shown, the first lead portion 42A extends rearward from the rear end of the lower surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 (see reference). Figure 8 It bends downwards.

[0057] The left and right side portions 44 bend downward from the left and right edges of the rear surface portion 43, which is in a state of extending rearward from the rear end of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 (see reference). Figure 8 The contact portion 48 and the rear surface portion 43 are bent after the dielectric 30 and the inner conductor 20 are housed in the outer conductor 40.

[0058] The casing 60 is made of synthetic resin. For example... Figure 1 As shown, the housing 60 has a substrate fixing part 61, a connector fitting part 62, a terminal holding part 63, and a protective part 64.

[0059] The substrate fixing part 61 is provided on the left and right sides of the housing 60. The substrate fixing part 61 is fixed to the circuit board 10.

[0060] like Figure 2 As shown, the connector mating part 62 is disposed at the front of the housing 60. The opposite connector is mated with the connector mating part 62 from the front. The connector mating part 62 is a rectangular tube that is longer in the left-right direction.

[0061] like Figure 2 As shown, a terminal holding portion 63 is provided at the rear of the housing 60. The terminal holding portion 63 holds the terminal part T. A cavity 65 is formed in the terminal holding portion 63. Four cavities 65 are arranged in the left-right direction (see reference). Figure 9 Each cavity 65 extends through the terminal holding portion 63 in the front-to-back direction. The terminal part T is inserted into each cavity 65 from the rear. When held by the terminal holding portion 63, the front end of the terminal part T protrudes forward beyond the front surface of the terminal holding portion 63. When held by the terminal holding portion 63, the rear end of the terminal part T protrudes rearward beyond the rear surface of the terminal holding portion 63.

[0062] like Figure 3As shown in FIG. 6, the terminal holding portion 63 is provided with a groove 66 for engagement of the engagement protrusion 51 of the terminal member T. The groove 66 for engagement is provided on both sides of each cavity 65. The groove 66 for engagement extends through the terminal holding portion 63 in the front-rear direction. The groove 66 for engagement extends linearly. The groove 66 for engagement gradually decreases in the left-right direction from the rear side toward the front side. The engagement protrusion 51 is pressed into the groove 66 for engagement.

[0063] As shown in FIG. Figure 2 As shown in FIG.

[0064] As shown in FIG. Figure 9 As shown in FIG. 6, the terminal holding portion 63 is provided with a groove 66 for engagement of the engagement protrusion 51 of the terminal member T. The engagement protrusion 51 is pressed into the groove 66 for engagement. Figure 1 As shown in FIG.

[0066] Next, one example of the assembly sequence of the connector C will be described.

[0067] First, the outer conductor 40 is inserted into the housing 60. At this time, the rear surface portion 43 of the outer conductor 40 extends rearward from the upper surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. In addition, the contact portion 48 extends rearward from the rear end of the locked portion 47. In other words, the rear surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 is open.

[0068] To insert the outer conductor 40 into the housing 60, the locking protrusion 51 of the outer conductor 40 is aligned with the locking groove 66 of the housing 60, the stop protrusion 55 is aligned with the stop groove 67, and the cylindrical connecting portion 41 is inserted into the cavity 65 of the terminal holding portion 63. First, the locking protrusion 51 is inserted into the locking groove 66, and then the stop protrusion 55 is inserted into the stop groove 67. The ribs 68 of the stop groove 67 contact the left and right surfaces of the stop protrusion 55. Thus, the stop protrusion 55 is prevented from wobbling in the left-right direction. Then, the front surface 55A of the stop protrusion 55 abuts against the front surface 67A of the stop groove 67. Thus, the advance of the outer conductor 40 is stopped. In this way, the outer conductor 40 is fixed to the regular position of the cavity 65. The locking protrusion 51 is prevented from being excessively pressed into the locking groove 66.

[0069] In the state where the stop protrusion 55 enters the stop groove 67, as shown in Figure 2 , the stop protrusion 55 is entirely housed in the stop groove 67. The front surface 55A of the stop protrusion 55 contacts the front surface 67A of the stop groove 67. The rear end surface of the stop protrusion 55 aligns with the rear end of the stop groove 67. The lower surface (protruding end surface) 55C of the stop protrusion 55 is positioned on the upper side than the lower surface (lower end of the stop groove 67) of the terminal holding portion 63. By inserting the stop protrusion 55 into the stop groove 67, the rotation of the outer conductor 40 is stopped.

[0070] Next, the dielectric 30 is housed in the outer conductor 40. Specifically, the dielectric 30 is inserted into the inner side of the outer conductor 40 from the rear.

[0071] Next, the inner conductor 20 is housed in the dielectric 30. Specifically, the inner conductor 20 is inserted into the inner side of the dielectric 30 from the rear.

[0072] Next, the rear surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 is blocked. Specifically, the contact portion 48 and the rear surface portion 43 of the outer conductor 40 are bent. The contact portion 48 is bent inwardly (to the left-right direction center side) from the rear end of the locked portion 47 (see Figure 7 ). The rear surface portion 43 is bent downwardly from the upper surface rear end of the cylindrical connecting portion 41. Thus, the left and right side portions 44 cover the outer side of the locked portion 47. The locked portion 45 of each side portion 44 becomes a state of being locked to the front surface of the locked portion 47. The front surface of the rear surface portion 43 becomes a state of contacting the contact portion 48. The rear surface of the cylindrical connecting portion 41 is blocked by the rear surface portion 43.

[0073] After that, the connector C is provided on the surface of the circuit board 10. The board fixing portion 61 is fixed to the circuit board 10. The inner conductor lead portion 23 is electrically connected to the conductive portion for signal transmission. The first lead portion 42A, the second lead portion 42B, and the third lead portion 42C are connected to the first ground portion, the second ground portion, and the third ground portion, respectively.

[0074] The electric signal flowing to the inner conductor 20 flows to the conductive portion of the circuit board 10 via the inner conductor lead portion 23. The return current with respect to the electric signal is generated in the outer conductor 40. The return current flows through the outer conductor 40 from the first lead portion 42A, the second lead portion 42B, and the third lead portion 42C to the first ground portion, the second ground portion, and the third ground portion of the circuit board 10.

[0075] Next, the action and effect of the embodiment configured as above will be described.

[0076] The terminal member T has the tubular connecting portion 41, the protrusion 51 for locking, and the protrusion 55 for stopping. The protrusion 51 for locking is provided so as to protrude outward in the circumferential direction from the tubular connecting portion 41. The protrusion 51 for locking is locked to the groove of the housing 60. The protrusion 55 for stopping is provided so as to protrude outward in the circumferential direction from the butting edge 49 of the tubular connecting portion 41. The protrusion 55 for stopping is stopped by the housing 60. According to this structure, by stopping the protrusion 55 for stopping by the housing 60, the insertion of the terminal member T is prevented. Therefore, the amount of insertion of the terminal member T into the housing 60 can be easily managed. In addition, the protrusion 55 for stopping is provided to the butting edge 49 of the tubular connecting portion 41. Therefore, the protrusion 55 for stopping can be provided without forming an opening in the tubular connecting portion 41.

[0077] The terminal member T has the outer conductor lead portion 42 connected to the circuit board 10. The outer conductor lead portion 42 extends to the lower side of the outer periphery of the tubular connecting portion 41. The protrusion 55 for stopping is provided to the lower side of the tubular connecting portion 41. According to this structure, the side to which the butting edge 49 of the tubular connecting portion 41 is butted and the side to which the outer conductor lead portion 42 extends can be made the same side, and thus the terminal member T can be easily manufactured.

[0078] The connector C has the terminal member T and the housing 60. The housing 60 is for insertion of the terminal member T. The housing 60 has the groove 67 for stopping by the protrusion 55 for stopping. The groove 67 for stopping is opened on the lower side of the housing 60. According to this structure, the groove 67 for stopping and the protrusion 55 for stopping can be visually confirmed from the outside, and thus the amount of insertion of the terminal member T into the housing 60 can be easily managed.
