A stored energy system is provided for delivering AC electrical power to a load. This system includes a single housing containing within a battery bank for storing DC power, and an inverter for receiving either DC power or AC power and converting DC power to AC power. The stored electrical system includes five circuit breakers mounted on the outside surface of the housing. Twist lock plugs are connected to each of the circuit breakers for removably connecting input power sources and output loads with the circuit breakers. A first circuit breaker is connected to a solar power source. A second circuit breaker is connected to a wind generator. A third circuit breaker is connected to a generator for generating AC power. A fourth circuit breaker is connected to a utility supplying AC power. A fifth circuit breaker is connected to the outside AC power load.

A modular power plant assembly for distributed power generation includes a power generator assembly, to generate electrical power, mounted on a trailer. An AC/DC distribution panel electrically coupled to the power generator assembly is mounted on the power generator assembly. A Medium Voltage module electrically coupled to the power generator assembly is mounted on the trailer. The AC/DC distribution panel and the Medium Voltage module together control and distribute the electrical power generated by the power generator assembly. A plurality of auxiliary components to supply fuel and air to the power generator assembly are mounted adjacent to the power generator assembly on a skid attached to the trailer.

A vertical-mount network remote power management outlet strip embodiment of the present invention comprises a long, thin outlet strip body with several independently controllable power outlet sockets distributed along its length. A power input cord is provided at one end, and this supplies AC-operating power to relays associated with each of the power outlet sockets. The relays are each addressably controlled by a microprocessor connected to an internal I2C-bus serial communications channel. The power-on status of each relay output to the power outlet sockets is sensed and communicated back on the internal I2C-bus. The present invention provides a method for mounting an element on a chassis. The method comprises several steps. The element is stopped from sliding in at least one direction when the element is placed on the surface of the chassis. A clip is pivotably connected to the chassis. The clip pivots between first and second position holding the element in place in the second position. The clip is locked in the second position.

A wire management system for use with furniture panels and being especially useful for the management of voice and data wiring includes a support plate and a plurality of vertically arranged rows of slots for receiving mounting blocks for patch panel brackets and the like. The slots may be provided in the plate itself or in a series of channel members attached to the plate. The blocks can be rotated 90 degrees to facilitate the connection of wiring to wiring connection devices when the blocks are in a first position and to a second position in which the wires and associated equipment occupy a minimum amount of space. A mobile communication device includes a display assembly that may be extended from the housing of the mobile communication device to provide a larger display surface for displaying information to a user of the mobile communication device. The display assembly is movable between a retracted position wherein the display assembly is retracted within a cavity formed in the housing and an extended position wherein the display assembly is extended from the housing. The display assembly includes a display for displaying information to a user of the mobile communication device. A window is provided in the housing for allowing the user to view at least part of the display when the display assembly is retracted within the cavity. Information displayed by the display is mapped to the display so that the information may be viewed through the window while the display assembly is retracted within the cavity.

A multi-processor system has a tubelike computer module including plural mother boards configured onto plural side walls of a rack body to form a unitary, continuous and non-segment airflow channel. The airflow channel of the tubelike computer module has larger space and fewer barriers to allow the airflow passing through smoothly, and to reduce wind noises or turbulences. Therefore, the system achieves optimum heat-dissipation efficiency and noise reduction by means of specific space arrangement and less cooling system requirement.

An electrical box and cover that includes a body having a back wall, a face plate and a perimeter wall which define an interior and an exterior for the body. The back wall has one or more removable elements for forming apertures that can be used to mount connectors. The faceplate has an opening for accessing the interior that extends beyond the perimeter wall to expose a slot. The cover is connected to the body by one or more hinges and is pivotably movable between an open and closed position. When the cover is in the open position, it can be retracted into the housing. A housing extending from the rear of the face plate on the exterior of the body receives the cover. The cover can include a rail on the interior surface and the perimeter wall can include a track that receives the rail when the cover is retracted into the box.

A universal power distribution system is provided for routing electrical circuits within a building structure to comprehensively provide electrical power to the building in ceiling configurations, wall-mounted configurations, raised floor configurations and in office furniture configurations. The system components for all of these configurations have common plug connectors that are engagable with each other so as to be readily usable in a wide variety of applications. The system is readily adaptable to form virtually any conventional circuit configuration found within conventional hard-wired systems yet is formed simply through the routing of the cables through the building cavities and interconnection is accomplished merely by plugging components together rather than through labor-intensive manual wiring.

A high reliability dual power sources automatic switch circuit and an isolation apparatus thereof are provided. The dual power sources automatic switch circuit includes a main power source circuit and a backup power source circuit installed respectively in a main circuit automatic switch zone and a backup circuit automatic switch zone which are isolated by a main isolation board in the isolation apparatus. The main and backup power source circuits include manual switches installed in a manual switch zone isolated by a sub-isolation board. The main power source circuit includes a main switch which includes multiple main switch elements coupled in series. The backup power source circuit includes a backup switch which includes multiple backup switch elements coupled in parallel. The invention also includes a power monitor module to monitor abnormal conditions of the main and backup power source circuits, and control the switch elements to perform power supply transfer.

An electrical apparatus has an elongated housing with fuses located therein. Windows are provided in the housing to close apertures in registration with fuse locations to allow access to fuses by removing the window. Fuses may be carried on a circuit card removably engageable with a terminal block secured to a wall within the housing. A fuse compartment cover is removably secured to the housing. The window comprises a fuse condition indicator to allow determination of the condition of the fuse (i.e. blown or not blown) without having to open the window. Additionally, powered indicators such as LEDs visible through the windows may indicate the state of fuses. The housing may comprise a power distribution unit and may be rack mounted or mounted to a wall of a rack assembly. The windows are located on the housing to be removable free of engagement with the assembly. In various embodiments, the windows may be included in a different one of the walls so that the windows will be unobstructed when the housing is in one of a number of orientations. The fuse compartment may be opened without removing the unit from the rack.

An implantable lead is provided that includes a lead body configured to be implanted in a patient. The lead body has a distal end and a proximal end, and a lumen extending between the distal and proximal ends and includes a connector assembly provided at the proximal end of the lead body. The connector assembly is configured to connect to an implantable medical device and includes an electrode provided proximate to the distal end of the lead body with the electrode configured to at least one of deliver stimulating pulses and sense electrical activity. A multi-layer coil is located within the lumen and extends at least partially along a length of the lead body. The coil includes a first winding formed with multiple winding turns, the winding turns being segmented in an alternating pattern of insulated segments and non-insulated segments along the length of the lead body. An insulator bushing wildlife guard having features for easier alignment and installation of the guard on the bushing. The guard has two hinged body sections of insulating material. An outer edge of each body section is provided with a plurality of flexible fingers that allow conductors to pass through from the interior to the exterior of the enclosure when the two portions of the guard are engaged. In one embodiment, the guard is spring biased toward a closed position. A handle on the back has inner grooves to make it easier to grasp and manipulate the guard using a shotgun stick. On a lower front side of each portion of the guard, spaced-apart, curved, horizontal upper and lower flanges help align the guard with the topmost skirt of a bushing. Medial walls having a curved, sloped, concave or otherwise inwardly-directed configuration between the two flanges facilitate forcing the guard open by pushing it against the bushing. An external tab limiter, disposed above the upper flange, makes it difficult to install the guard over any part of the bushing other than the topmost skirt of the bushing. An alternative version of the guard has a releasable trigger, which is used to hold the two portions in an open position until the bushing or power line displaces the trigger and allows the biasing spring to close the two cover portions. The guard is provided with a handle for grasping by a manipulator tool. In one embodiment the handle is provided with inner grooves for grasping by a shotgun stick. In another embodiment, an adapter releasably engages the handle and provides means for attachment to a hotstick.

The memory module includes a rectangular printed circuit board having a first side and a second side, a length of between 149 and 153 millimeters and first and second ends having a width smaller than said length. The memory module also includes a first plurality of connector locations on the first side extending along a first edge of said board that extends the length of the board and a second plurality of connector locations on the second side extending on said first edge of said board. The memory module further includes one or more buffer devices in communication with the circuit board for accessing one or more of the four ranks of memory devices mounted on the first side and second side of the circuit board. In addition, the memory module includes a locating key having its center positioned on said first edge and located between 82 mm and 86 mm from said first end of said card and located between 66 and 70 mm from said second end of said card.
