A shotgun (also known as a scattergun, or historically as a fowling piece) is a firearm that is usually designed to be fired from the shoulder, which uses the energy of a fixed shell to fire a number of small spherical pellets called shot, or a solid projectile called a slug. Shotguns come in a wide variety of sizes, ranging from 5.5 mm (.22 inch) bore up to 5 cm (2.0 in) bore, and in a range of firearm operating mechanisms, including breech loading, single-barreled, double or combination gun, pump-action, bolt-, and lever-action, revolver, semi-automatic, and even fully automatic variants.

Single barrel shotgun shell ejector mechanism

ActiveCN118328769BGun barrelCartridge
This invention discloses a shell-breaking mechanism for a single-barrel shotgun, which uses a release spring to store energy and achieve shell-breaking. The weapon includes a receiver and a barrel assembly. The lower end of the barrel assembly is hinged to the receiver via a barrel seat. The receiver has a firing pin seat. The rear end of the barrel assembly has a cartridge groove. The barrel assembly has a guide hole, within which are an ejector and an ejector lever. The ejector and ejector lever are engaged. The rear end of the ejector has a ejection arm, and the end of the ejection arm has an arc-shaped ejection catch. The arc-shaped ejection catch engages with the arc-shaped protrusion at the tail of the cartridge in the cartridge groove. The lower rear end of the ejector has an ejector arc surface. The ejector is fitted with an ejector spring, the two ends of which act on the ejector and the guide hole, respectively. The lower front end of the ejector lever has an upper engagement surface, and the upper front end of the barrel seat has a corresponding lower engagement surface. The upper front end of the ejector lever has a return spring. The front end of the receiver has an upwardly extending release protrusion, and the lower front end of the ejector lever has a release surface.

System and method for inhibiting movement of shotgun gate via computer implemented process

Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for controlling movement of a shotgun gate in a ride system. A system is configured to identify one or more ride vehicles stopped at a platform, the platform including one or more shotgun gates respectively corresponding to one or more rows of the one or more ride vehicles, determine which row(s) of the one or more rows is in-service or out-of-service based on an identity of the one or more ride vehicles, instruct to remain closed at least one shotgun gate of the one or more shotgun gates corresponding to at least one row of the one or more rows determined to be out-of-service, and instruct to open any other shotgun gate of the one or more shotgun gates corresponding to at least one other row of the one or more rows determined to be in-service.
