The invention provides an interactive dark ride configured and designed to stimulate the development of creative thinking and problem solving abilities and to encourage group cooperation and team work. A dark ride vehicle is also provided having inward-facing seating adapted to facilitate socializing and group gaming activities among ride participants during the ride sequence. Various interactive effects are provided along a defined ride path and/or along various associated ride cueing areas. The interactive effects are configured and arranged such that ride participants selectively actuate the various effects by successfully completing various requested tasks. Some or all of the interactive effects require the cooperation of multiple ride participants (either on the same vehicle, other vehicles and/or in adjacent queuing areas) in order to actuate the desired effect(s).

An automated entertainment ride experience enhancement system providing a multi-media memento of rides taken for entertainment. The system comprises a series of audio, video and vehicular and personal data capture devices arranged on, adjacent to and remote from the rider transport mechanism of the ride. The system collects and synchronizes audio, video and sensory data streams received from said capture devices which collectively comprise the experience of riders on the ride. The system then encodes, renders and encapsulates said streams into a composite presentation. Said presentation includes selected audio, video and sensor data, said sensor data being presented in either digital or graphic formats and includes menu-accessible ancillary data which is not part of the primary presentation. The composite experience is presented to potential purchasers of recordings of said experience. Said recordings are transferred to commonly used playback mediums for self-serve dissemination to said purchasers.

An improved zip line trolley allowing a rider control of his or her speed while traversing along a suspended cable (8) as seen in FIGS. 1A and 1B. The trolley comprises front and rear pulleys (44F) and (44R) conjoined via pulley housing (16) with left and right horizontal handles (10L) and (10R) attached to vertical shaft (12). Front and rear hand brake levers (20F) and (20R) are mounted onto left and right horizontal handles (10L) and (10R). An amusement device, in particular a roller coaster, for providing a sense of excitement to one or more passengers using the amusement device. The amusement device has an elongated track along which one or more amusement device seat assemblies adapted to carry the one or more passengers are moveable. Each seat assembly has a seat with a seating surface and a back support with a back support surface. The seat assembly further includes a bar construction attached to a pivot mechanism. This bar construction has a hip bar and one or more pivot arms integral with the hip bar, which bar construction is pivotable about the pivot axis from a raised position in which the hip bar is raised from the seating surface to allow a passenger to sit down in the amusement device seat assembly, to a lowered position. The bar construction is such that no part of the bar construction takes away the view of the person and limits the movements of the arms of the person, allowing the passenger to experience a great sense of freedom.

The seat assembly further includes a belt construction with two shoulder straps and an adjustable length mechanism associated with each shoulder strap to allow for adaptation of the length of the shoulder straps to the size of the passenger in the lowered position of the bar construction such that the shoulder straps are in physical contact with the shoulders and upper part of the body of a passenger seated in the amusement device seat assembly so as to increase the sense of safety of the passenger.
