The present invention relates to a load management controller for a household electrical installation comprising a pair of electricity supplies, a grid supply and a micro-generator supply, providing electricity to a plurality if sub-circuits. The household electrical installation has means to monitor the amount of electricity being supplied by the micro-generator supply and the amount of electricity being consumed in the household. The load management controller has means to access and use that information to control the supply of electricity to an energy storage sub-circuit to route surplus electricity supplied by the micro-generator to the energy storage sub-circuit. Furthermore, the load management controller can communicate with a remote electricity supplier to control the loads in the household to achieve better grid management and efficiency.

Provided is an auto-focusing camera module having a liquid lens. The auto-focusing camera module includes a lens barrel having a liquid lens and a solid lens stacked and disposed therewith; an image sensor for focusing light that is passed through the liquid lens and the solid lens; a substrate provided in a lower end of the lens barrel to electrically mount the image sensor; and a power supply unit fixed integrally in the lens barrel and electrically coupled between the liquid lens and the substrate to apply a power source to the liquid lens. Therefore, the auto-focusing camera module may be useful to control its focus to coincide with high pixels and high performances of the camera module, manufacture a small final product by lowering the entire height of the camera module, enhancing the productivity of the camera module by employing a simple liquid lens to simplify an assembly structure of the liquid lens that is in contact with the substrate, and reduce the manufacturing cost.

Drive assemblies for electric devices, such as vehicles, include an electric motor that includes a rotor assembly and a stator assembly positioned within the rotor assembly. The stator assembly is fixed to a stationary axle and includes a pole and a coil around the pole. The rotor assembly includes a housing to which a plurality of magnets are attached. The rotor assembly is supported on the stationary axle by bearings. An electrical apparatus has an indicator for indicating a voltage drop across an electrical system. The electrical apparatus includes a core, a sense lead, and an indicator. The core transmits electrical current from a source to a load. The sense lead electrically connects to the core for sensing a voltage drop between a source end and a sink end of the core. The heat dissipating device has a metallic heat-dissipating member including a body and a number of spaced-apart heat dissipating fins extending upwardly from the upper surface of the body. The present invention concerns an electrical installation or device equipped with a power supply unit comprising a voltage converter having primary and secondary parts respectively defining a primary side and a secondary side of this electrical installation or device. The power management unit is arranged such that, in said very low power mode, it can receive or generate at least a wake-up signal and set to ON said first control signal in response to said wake-up signal for supplying again said primary and secondary parts of the converter.

A method of capacitively coupling a semiconductor chip to an electrical component with a pressure sensitive adhesive is also provided. The method includes compressing the chip by forcing a flexible platen of a bonding device into compressive engagement with the semiconductor chip.

A belted-alternator starter system that continuously provides pre-flux when the vehicle ignition is on and the engine is off to provide a faster torque response when the engine is turned on. The alternator/starter device operates as an alternator for providing electrical energy to vehicle electrical devices and the battery when the ignition is on and the engine is running, and operates as a starter for providing engine torque to start the engine when the engine is off and the ignition is on. The invention relates generally to an electric device, such as an electric motor, a generator, or a regenerative motor, having a wound stator core made from advanced low-loss material. In preferred embodiments, the electric device is an axial airgap-type configuration. The invention provides an electric device having a high pole count that operates at high commutating frequencies, with high efficiency and high torque and power densities. Advanced low-loss materials exploited by the present invention include amorphous metals, nanocrystalline metals, and optimized Fe-based alloys.
