Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to packaging materials for packaging robots. Background Technology

[0002] Previously, packaging materials equipped with gripping parts that can be grasped by operators were known (e.g., Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2015-229517). Robots were, for example, packaged using such packaging materials. Summary of the Invention

[0003] When placing the robot on the platform, it needs to be in a state where its packaging is removed. Therefore, it is necessary to install a lifting component on the robot for mounting a lifting device, or a gripping component for the operator to lift the robot. This results in an increase in the number of robot parts.

[0004] The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to provide a packaging material that can eliminate the need for special parts for setting the robot onto the stand, thereby reducing the number of robot parts.

[0005] The present invention relates to a packaging material for packaging a multi-joint robot, which has a first support member supporting the multi-joint robot with its base exposed. The first support member has a mounting part or a gripping part. The mounting part is a mounting part for mounting a lifting device to lift the multi-joint robot together with the first support member. The gripping part is gripped by an operator to lift the multi-joint robot together with the first support member.

[0006] According to the present invention, the number of parts of a robot can be reduced. Attached Figure Description

[0025] (First Implementation)

[0026] Figure 1 This is a perspective view showing packaging material 10. Packaging material 10 packages robot 12. Figure 1 In the diagram, a robot 12, packaged by packaging material 10, is indicated by a dashed line. Robot 12 is a jointed robot with a base 14 and a manipulator 16. When robot 12 is packaged by packaging material 10, it adopts a prescribed packaging posture. Hereinafter, in this embodiment, [the following description is used]. Figure 1 The X, Y, and Z coordinate axes are used to record direction. Figure 1 In addition to the above, sometimes records and Figure 1 The coordinate axes corresponding to the coordinate axes.

[0027] The packaging material 10 is formed from corrugated paper or a foaming agent. The packaging material 10 has sufficient strength to withstand the load of the robot 12. The packaging material 10 includes a first packaging component 20, a second packaging component 22, and a third packaging component 24. The first packaging component 20 is mounted on the robot 12 from the negative side of the Y-axis direction. The second packaging component 22 is mounted on the robot 12 from the positive side of the Y-axis direction. With the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 mounted on the robot 12, the base 14 of the robot 12 is exposed to the outside. The third packaging component 24 is mounted on the robot 12 from the negative side of the Z-axis direction and covers the base 14 of the robot 12. The first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 correspond to the first support component of the present invention, and the third packaging component 24 corresponds to the second support component of the present invention.

[0028] Figure 2 This is a diagram of the first packaging component 20 viewed from the negative side along the Y-axis. Figure 3 This is a view of the first packaging component 20 as seen from the positive side in the Y-axis direction. The first packaging component 20 has a mounting portion 26. The mounting portion 26 is formed by a through hole extending through in the Y-axis direction. A recessed gripping portion 28 is provided on the negative side of the first packaging component 20 in the Y-axis direction. A recessed storage portion 30 is provided on the positive side of the first packaging component 20 in the Y-axis direction. The storage portion 30 is formed according to the shape seen from the negative side of the Y-axis when the robot 12 is in a packaging posture.

[0029] Figure 4 This is a diagram of the second packaging component 22 viewed from the front side along the Y-axis. Figure 5 This is a view of the second packaging component 22 as seen from the negative side in the Y-axis direction. The second packaging component 22 has a mounting portion 32. The mounting portion 32 is formed by a through hole extending through in the Y-axis direction. When the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 are mounted on the robot 12, the mounting portion 26 of the first packaging component 20 communicates with the mounting portion 32 of the second packaging component 22. A recessed gripping portion 34 is provided on the positive side of the second packaging component 22 in the Y-axis direction. A recessed storage portion 36 is provided on the negative side of the second packaging component 22 in the Y-axis direction. The storage portion 36 is formed according to the shape seen from the positive side of the Y-axis when the robot 12 is in a packaging posture.

[0030] With the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 installed on the robot 12, the surface of the first packaging component 20 having the storage portion 30 is joined to the surface of the second packaging component 22 having the storage portion 36. Adhesive can be applied to the respective joining surfaces of the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 to firmly bond them together. Alternatively, engaging portions can be provided on the respective joining surfaces of the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 to allow them to engage with each other. Furthermore, the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 can also be secured with tape.

[0031] With the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 engaged, the space formed by the storage section 30 and the storage section 36 becomes approximately the same shape as the robotic arm 16 of the robot 12 in a packaging posture. That is, the robot 12 is held between the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22. This allows the robot 12 to move together with the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22.

[0032] Figure 6 This is a diagram of the third packaging component 24 viewed from the front side along the Z-axis. Figure 7 This indicates that the robot 12 is in a state where the third packaging component 24 is installed. On the positive side of the third packaging component 24 in the Z-axis direction, a storage portion 38 is provided, recessed along the shape of the negative side of the base 14 in the Z-axis direction. The storage portion 38 is shaped such that the robot 12 can stand upright on the storage portion 38 when the base 14 of the robot 12 is placed on the positive side of the Z-axis direction. Thus, as... Figure 7 As shown, with the base 14 placed on the storage section 38, the robot 12 can stand upright on its own.

[0033] Figures 8A to 8D This indicates the order in which robot 12 is set onto the stand 40. Figure 9 This is an enlarged view of the area near the base 14 when robot 12 is mounted on the test bench 40.

[0034] like Figure 8A As shown, the opening operation of packaging material 10 is carried out near the platform 40 used to set up robot 12. Figure 8BAs shown, sling 42 passes through mounting portions 26 and 32 and is suspended from the lifting device 46 of crane 44. Then, crane 44 lifts robot 12 together with first packaging component 20 and second packaging component 22. At this time, third packaging component 24 detaches from the base 14 of robot 12 and remains on the ground. Because robot 12 is supported by the storage portion 30 of first packaging component 20 and the storage portion 36 of second packaging component 22, robot 12 will not fall even if third packaging component 24 detaches from base 14. Crane 44 corresponds to the lifting device of the present invention, and sling 42 corresponds to the mounting component of the present invention.

[0035] like Figure 8C As shown, the robot 12 is positioned on the platform 40 by a crane 44 with the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 installed. Figure 9 As shown, with the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 installed on the robot 12, the base 14 is exposed to the outside. Therefore, the operator 50 can secure the base 14 to the platform 40 in this state using bolts 48. By securing the base 14 to the platform 40 with at least one bolt 48, the robot 12 can be prevented from tipping over. Figure 8D As shown, operator 50 removes the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 from robot 12. This completes the setup of robot 12 onto the platform 40. Because the base 14 is secured to the platform 40 by bolts 48, the robot 12 is prevented from tipping over when operator 50 removes the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22.

[0036] The sequence of placing robot 12 onto platform 40 by lifting it with crane 44 has been described above. However, robot 12 can also be placed onto platform 40 by operator 50 lifting it. Figures 10A to 10D This indicates the order in which robot 12 is set onto the stand 40.

[0037] like Figure 10A As shown, the opening operation of packaging material 10 is carried out near the platform 40 used to set up robot 12. Figure 10B As shown, two operators 50 hold the gripping parts 28 and 34 and lift the robot 12 together with the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22. At this time, the third packaging component 24 detaches from the base 14 of the robot 12 and remains on the ground.

[0038] like Figure 10CAs shown, the operator 50 sets the robot 12 onto the platform 40 with the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 installed. With the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 installed on the robot 12, the base 14 is exposed to the outside. Therefore, the operator 50 can secure the base 14 to the platform 40 using bolts 48 in this state. Figure 10D As shown, operator 50 unloads the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 from robot 12. This completes the setup of robot 12 onto the platform 40.

[0039] [Effects]

[0040] Previously, robot 12 was placed on stand 40 after its packaging was removed. Therefore, it was necessary to install mounting parts on robot 12 for mounting slings 42 of crane 44, or gripping parts for operator 50 to hold. These mounting parts or gripping parts are not needed except when moving robot 12. Therefore, by including infrequently used components on robot 12, the number of parts in robot 12 increases, and the assembly time of robot 12 increases.

[0041] Therefore, the packaging material 10 of this embodiment includes a first packaging component 20 and a second packaging component 22. The first packaging component 20 has a storage portion 30 for housing the robot 12, and the second packaging component 22 has a storage portion 36 for housing the robot 12. When the robot 12 is housed in the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22, its base 14 is exposed to the outside. The first packaging component 20 includes a mounting portion 26 and a gripping portion 28. Similarly, the second packaging component 22 includes a mounting portion 32 and a gripping portion 34.

[0042] Therefore, since the mounting part 26 and the gripping part 28 are provided in the first packaging component 20, and the mounting part 32 and the gripping part 34 are provided in the second packaging component 22, it is unnecessary to provide a mounting part or a gripping part in the robot 12. As a result, the number of parts in the robot 12 is reduced, and the assembly time of the robot 12 can be reduced.

[0043] Furthermore, the packaging material 10 of this embodiment has a third packaging component 24 that covers the base 14 of the robot 12. It is configured such that when the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22, which house the robot 12, are lifted by the crane 44 or by the operator 50, the third packaging component 24 detaches from the base 14.

[0044] Therefore, when transporting the robot 12, the base 14 can be protected by the third packaging component 24. Furthermore, when placing the robot 12 onto the platform 40, the third packaging component 24 detaches from the base 14, exposing the base 14 to the outside. Thus, the robot 12 can be placed onto the platform 40 with the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 installed.

[0045] Furthermore, in the packaging material 10 of this embodiment, the third packaging component 24 is formed in a shape that allows the robot 12, when placed on the third packaging component 24, to stand upright on its own. Thus, when the robot 12 is packaged by the packaging material 10, the robot 12 can stand stably on its own.

[0046] In the above, the first packaging component 20 and the second packaging component 22 are lifted by a crane 44, but they can also be lifted by a robot different from robot 12.

[0047] (Second Implementation)

[0048] Figure 11 This is a three-dimensional diagram representing packaging material 52. Figure 12 This is a 3D view of the state after the outer box 54 of the packaging material 52 has been removed. Figure 13 This is a perspective view showing the state after the outer box 54 of the packaging material 52 and the fourth packaging component 56 have been removed. The packaging material 52 of this embodiment packages the robot 12 in the same way as the packaging material 10 of the first embodiment.

[0049] Packaging material 52 is formed of corrugated cardboard. Packaging material 52 has sufficient strength to withstand the load of robot 12. Packaging material 52 includes an outer box 54, a fourth packaging component 56, a fifth packaging component 58, and a sixth packaging component 60.

[0050] like Figure 11 As shown, the robot 12 is entirely covered by the outer box 54 and the sixth packaging component 60. Hereinafter, in this embodiment, the structure of the packaging material 52 will be described based on the state where the packaging material 52 is placed with the sixth packaging component 60 in contact with the ground. In this embodiment, using... Figure 11 The X, Y, and Z coordinate axes are used to record direction. Figure 11 Other than those in the illustrations, sometimes it is also recorded that... Figure 11 The coordinate axes correspond to the coordinate axes of the graph. Furthermore, the X-axis and Y-axis are parallel to the horizontal direction (orthogonal to the direction of gravity). The Z-axis is the vertical direction (parallel to the direction of gravity), with the positive side of the Z-axis representing the top and the negative side representing the bottom.

[0051] Robot 12 is a multi-joint robot with a base 14 and a manipulator 16. When robot 12 is packaged by packaging material 52, robot 12 performs... Figure 12 as well as Figure 13 The packaging posture is as shown. The robotic arm 16 has multiple links. When the robot 12 is in the packaging posture, the axial direction of the uppermost link 62 is approximately aligned with the Y-axis. Link 62 corresponds to one link in this invention.

[0052] The outer casing 54 is formed in the shape of a box with an opening on the negative side in the Z-axis direction, covering the robot 12 from the positive side in the Z-axis direction and housing the robot 12 inside. The fourth packaging component 56 is formed in the shape of a box with an opening on the negative side in the Z-axis direction, covering the connecting rod 62 from the positive side in the Z-axis direction and mounted on the robot 12. The fifth packaging component 58 is inserted between the connecting rod 62 and the base 14 to be mounted on the robot 12. When viewed from the positive side in the Z-axis direction, the fourth packaging component 56 is arranged extending in the Y-axis direction, and the fifth packaging component 58 is arranged extending in the X-axis direction. The fourth packaging component 56 and the fifth packaging component 58 are housed together with the robot 12 inside the outer casing 54 when mounted on the robot 12. The fifth packaging component 58 corresponds to the first support component of the present invention.

[0053] The fourth packaging component 56, when housed within the outer casing 54, abuts against the inner circumferential surface of the outer casing 54, or faces the inner circumferential surface of the outer casing 54 with a small gap. This suppresses tipping of the robot 12 in the Y-axis direction. Similarly, the fifth packaging component 58, when housed within the outer casing 54, abuts against the inner circumferential surface of the outer casing 54, or faces the inner circumferential surface of the outer casing 54 with a small gap. This suppresses tipping of the robot 12 in the X-axis direction. The sixth packaging component 60 is mounted on the robot 12 from the negative side in the Z-axis direction to cover the base 14 of the robot 12. The shape of the sixth packaging component 60 is the same as that of the third packaging component 24 in the first embodiment.

[0054] Figure 14A and Figure 14B This is a three-dimensional view of the fifth packaging component, 58. Figure 15 This diagram shows the fifth packaging component 58 mounted on the robot 12, viewed from the front side along the Y-axis. At this time, the robot 12 is in a packaging posture, and the axis of the link 62 is approximately aligned with the Y-axis.

[0055] like Figure 14A and Figure 14BAs shown, the fifth packaging component 58 is formed by bending a sheet of corrugated paper with a hollow interior. The two ends of the bent corrugated paper are secured to each other at two points by fasteners 61. The fasteners 61 protrude outwards from the upper surface (the surface on the positive side in the Z-axis direction) of the fifth packaging component 58. The upper surface of the fifth packaging component 58 does not contact the robot 12 when the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on it. By positioning the fasteners 61 on the upper surface of the fifth packaging component 58, damage to the robot 12 can be prevented.

[0056] Grippers 64 and 66 that penetrate the corrugated paper are formed on the positive side of the Y-axis direction and the negative side of the Y-axis direction of the fifth packaging component 58, respectively.

[0057] An insertion portion 68 is formed by a recess in the positive Z-axis surface of the fifth packaging component 58. When the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on the robot 12, the connecting rod 62 is inserted into the insertion portion 68. The length (depth) of the insertion portion 68 in the Z-axis direction is sufficiently longer than the diameter of the connecting rod 62. Therefore, when the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on the robot 12, the connecting rod 62 inserted into the insertion portion 68 is located on the negative Z-axis side relative to the positive Z-axis surface of the fifth packaging component 58. In addition, the length (width) of the insertion portion 68 in the X-axis direction is slightly longer than the diameter of the connecting rod 62. Therefore, when the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on the robot 12, the connecting rod 62 can be easily inserted into the insertion portion 68. Furthermore, when the fifth packaging component 58 and the robot 12 are stored together in the outer casing 54, the wobbling of the robot 12 in the X-axis direction can be suppressed.

[0058] like Figure 15 As shown, the fifth packaging component 58 has an inclined portion 70 that slopes from its side surface to its lower surface relative to the direction of gravity (Z-axis direction). When the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on the robot 12, as... Figure 15 As shown by the dashed line, the connecting rod 62 is inserted into the insertion part 68 in an inclined direction relative to the Z-axis. Then, the fifth packaging component 58 is rotated about the connecting rod 62 as an axis to mount the fifth packaging component 58 onto the robot 12. When the fifth packaging component 58 rotates about the connecting rod 62 as an axis, the inclined part 70 can avoid the positive side of the base 14 in the Z-axis direction. Therefore, the distance between the bottom surface (the negative side of the Z-axis direction) of the insertion part 68 and the lower surface (the negative side of the Z-axis direction) of the fifth packaging component 58 can be ensured. As a result, the wobbling of the fifth packaging component 58 relative to the robot 12 in the Z-axis direction can be suppressed.

[0059] like Figure 15As shown, the length (width) of the fifth packaging component 58 in the X-axis direction is longer than the length (width) of the robot 12 in the X-axis direction when it is in a packaging posture. Therefore, when a force is applied to the packaging material 52 in the X-axis direction, the fifth packaging component 58 receives the force before the robot 12, thus preventing damage to the robot 12.

[0060] Figure 16 This indicates that robot 12 is being lifted by operator 50. Robot 12 is lifted by two operators 50. Operators 50 grasp the gripping parts 64 and 66 of the fifth packaging component 58 to lift the fifth packaging component 58. At this time, the bottom surface (the negative side surface in the Z-axis direction) of the insertion part 68 supports the connecting rod 62 from below, and robot 12 and the fifth packaging component 58 are lifted together.

[0061] Figures 17A to 17D as well as Figures 18A to 18D This indicates the order in which robot 12 is set onto the stand 40.

[0062] like Figure 17A As shown, the packaging material 52 is placed horizontally near the stand 40 used to set up the robot 12. First, as... Figure 17B As shown, the packaging material 52 is erected with the outer box 54 facing upwards, and the packaging tape 63 wrapped around the outer box 54 and the sixth packaging component 60 is removed.

[0063] After that, as Figure 17C As shown, lift the outer box 54 upwards and remove the robot 12 from the outer box 54. Then, as... Figure 17D As shown, the fourth packaging component 56, which is mounted on the link 62 of robot 12, is removed.

[0064] like Figure 18A As shown, operator 50 grasps the gripping parts 64 and 66 of the fifth packaging component 58 and lifts robot 12 and the fifth packaging component 58 together. At this time, the sixth packaging component 60 detaches from the base 14 of robot 12 and remains on the ground.

[0065] like Figure 18B As shown, with the fifth packaging component 58 installed, the operator 50 sets the robot 12 onto the stand 40. With the fifth packaging component 58 installed on the robot 12, the base 14 is exposed to the outside, so the base 14 can be fixed to the stand 40 by bolts 48 in this state.

[0066] like Figure 18C As shown, operator 50 unloads the fifth packaging component 58 from robot 12. Thus, as... Figure 18D As shown, the robot 12 is now set up on the platform 40.

[0067] [Effects]

[0068] In the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, the fifth packaging component 58 is inserted between the link 62 and the base 14 of the robot 12. Thus, when the operator 50 grasps the gripping parts 64 and 66 of the fifth packaging component 58 and lifts the fifth packaging component 58, the robot 12 is lifted while the fifth packaging component 58 supports the link 62 from below.

[0069] Furthermore, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, when the robot 12 with the fifth packaging component 58 is viewed from the axial direction of the link 62, the width of the fifth packaging component 58 is longer than the width of the robot 12 in the packaging posture. As a result, when a force in the width direction is applied to the packaging material 52, the fifth packaging component 58 is subjected to the force before the robot 12, thus preventing damage to the robot 12.

[0070] Furthermore, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, the fifth packaging member 58 has an insertion portion 68 formed by a recess from the upper surface for inserting the connecting rod 62. Thus, the fifth packaging member 58 can support the connecting rod 62 while restricting movement relative to the fifth packaging member 58.

[0071] Furthermore, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, the length of the insertion portion 68 in the fifth packaging component 58 in the depth direction is longer than the diameter of the connecting rod 62. Therefore, when the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on the robot 12, the connecting rod 62 inserted into the insertion portion 68 can be positioned lower than the upper surface of the fifth packaging component 58. When the robot 12 is packaged by the packaging material 52, when a force is applied to the upper surface of the outer box 54, the fifth packaging component 58 is subjected to force before the robot 12, thus preventing damage to the robot 12.

[0072] Furthermore, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, when viewed axially from the connecting rod 62, the fifth packaging component 58 has an inclined portion 70 that slopes from the side to the lower surface relative to the direction of gravity. When the fifth packaging component 58 is mounted on the robot 12, the inclined portion 70 can avoid the upper surface of the base 14. Therefore, the distance between the bottom surface of the insertion portion 68 and the lower surface of the fifth packaging component 58 can be ensured, and the vertical swaying of the fifth packaging component 58 relative to the robot 12 can be suppressed.

[0073] (Technical ideas derived from implementation methods)

[0074] The following describes the technical ideas that can be grasped based on the above-described embodiments.

[0075] A packaging material (10, 52) for packaging a multi-joint robot (12) has a first support member (20, 22, 58) supporting the multi-joint robot with its base (14) exposed. The first support member has a mounting part (26) or a gripping part (28, 34, 64, 66). The mounting part is equipped with a mounting part (42) of the lifting device for lifting the multi-joint robot together with the first support member, and the gripping part is gripped by the operator (50) for lifting the multi-joint robot together with the first support member.

[0076] In the above-mentioned packaging material, it can be configured such that, in a packaging posture in which one of the links (62) of the manipulator (16) of the multi-joint robot is located above the base and the axial direction of the link is approximately aligned with the direction orthogonal to the direction of gravity, the packaging material packages the multi-joint robot, and the first support member is inserted between the link and the base.
