The invention provides a method of decoding a video signal, the method comprising the steps of generating a dequantized transform block by performing dequantization on a current block; obtaining an intra prediction mode of the current block; determining a set of secondary transforms applied to the current block from a plurality of sets of secondary transforms based on the intra prediction mode; deriving a transform kernel of the determined set of secondary transforms applied to the current block; and performing a secondary transform on a specific region of the top-left of the dequantized transform block by using the derived transform kernel.
