An idler gear structure for locking a preloaded backlash-free gear

Abstract

This invention discloses an idler gear structure for locking a pre-tightened backlash-eliminating gear, comprising a connecting disc, a mounting shaft, a backlash-eliminating assembly, an idler gear assembly, and a rack. The mounting shaft is connected to the middle of the connecting disc. The idler gear assembly includes a main shaft, a limiting gear, and a limiting nut. The limiting gear meshes with the backlash-eliminating assembly, and the limiting nut is threaded to one end of the main shaft. This invention utilizes the cooperative arrangement of the backlash-eliminating assembly and the idler gear assembly. While the fixed gear and the floating gear mesh with the rack, they also mesh with the limiting gear. When the rack meshes with the fixed gear and the floating gear, the limiting gear moves accordingly. When the rack is withdrawn and disengaged from the fixed gear and the floating gear, the limiting gear continues to mesh with them, ensuring that the reverse torque of the floating gear does not disappear and still has the function of eliminating backlash, without affecting the normal use of the floating gear and the torsion spring.
