Abstract

The application provides a reconfigurable instruction fetching system based on a ring queue, which comprises an instruction fetching unit configured to obtain I pieces of instruction information from an external instruction storage, generate a jump instruction hit position vector and a compressed instruction vector; a reconfigurable instruction emission quantity instruction buffer based on a ring queue, configured to receive the I pieces of instruction information, the jump instruction hit position vector and the compressed instruction vector from the instruction fetching unit, and decompose the I pieces of instruction information with a normal instruction length into valid instructions according to the compressed instruction vector and the jump instruction hit position vector; and a decoding unit configured to obtain the valid instructions from the reconfigurable instruction emission quantity instruction buffer based on a ring queue, decode the valid instructions, reconfigure the decoded valid instructions according to preset parameter configurations, adjust the instruction quantity of input and output of the decoding unit according to the reconfigured instruction emission quantity, and further adjust the number of decoding modules in the decoding unit. The application can reduce the complexity of the instruction fetching system.
