Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to the field of household appliance technology, and more specifically to a gas-fired heating device and a garment care machine having the same. Background Technology
[0002] As people's living standards continue to improve, various practical clothing care appliances are emerging, such as washing machines, dryers, and garment care machines. Compared to traditional washing machines and dryers, garment care machines can provide comprehensive care for clothes (especially high-end garments), including drying, wrinkle removal, odor removal, sterilization, and mite removal. Therefore, garment care machines are gaining popularity among users.
[0003] Based on the heat source, garment dryers can be broadly categorized into electric heating garment dryers, heat pump garment dryers, and gas-fired garment dryers. Gas-fired garment dryers utilize an internal gas-fired heating element to burn natural gas, converting bioenergy into heat energy to generate drying air for drying clothes. Gas-fired heating elements have high heating efficiency, allowing garment dryers to dry clothes quickly and shorten drying time. Furthermore, natural gas is relatively inexpensive, resulting in lower operating costs for gas-fired garment dryers.
[0004] Chinese invention patent application CN109140439A discloses a heating device for a clothes dryer. A burner and an ignition needle are installed at the inlet end of the combustion chamber of this heating device. The central axis of the ignition needle is parallel to the central axis of the burner, and the ends of both the burner and the ignition needle extend into the combustion chamber, allowing the gas ejected from the burner to quickly reach the vicinity of the ignition needle and ignite it, ensuring the reliability of the heating device. However, in practice, it has been found that setting the central axis of the ignition needle parallel to the central axis of the burner has the following problems: if the ignition needle is improperly installed or becomes loose, the ignition end of the ignition needle can easily deviate from the central axis of the burner, making it difficult for the electric spark generated at the ignition end to quickly and timely ignite the gas ejected from the outlet. Therefore, there is a possibility of improvement to this heating device for the clothes dryer.
[0005] Therefore, a new technical solution is needed in this field to solve the above problems. Summary of the Invention
[0006] To address the technical problem of existing gas-fired heating devices being unable to quickly and timely ignite gas, this invention provides a gas-fired heating device. The gas-fired heating device includes: a burner bracket; a burner, horizontally fixed to the top of the burner bracket, having an inlet end for connecting to an external gas source and an outlet end for ejecting gas, the outlet end being positioned away from the top; and an ignition needle, having a fixed end fixed inside the burner bracket and an ignition end located directly below the outlet end for igniting the gas, and the ignition needle being positioned to extend obliquely from the fixed end to the ignition end towards the burner.
[0007] The gas-fired heating device of the present invention includes a burner support, a burner, and an ignition needle. The burner is horizontally fixed to the top of the burner support and has an inlet end for connecting to an external gas source and an outlet end for ejecting gas, allowing the gas entering the burner from the inlet end to flow in a generally horizontal direction and be ejected from the outlet end, ensuring a high combustion rate. The outlet end of the burner is positioned away from the top of the burner support to mate with the ignition end on the ignition needle. The fixed end of the ignition needle is positioned inside the burner support, both fixing the ignition needle to the burner support and protecting it. Furthermore, the ignition end of the ignition needle is positioned directly below the outlet end of the burner, allowing the electric spark generated at the ignition end to easily contact the gas ejected from the outlet end, thereby quickly igniting the gas. More importantly, the ignition needle is positioned to extend obliquely towards the burner from the fixed end towards the ignition end. With the above settings, the electric spark generated at the ignition end is always directed towards the direction close to the gas outlet end, and will not deviate from the gas outlet end. Therefore, the gas ejected from the gas outlet end can be effectively and timely ignited, improving the ignition reliability of the gas heating device of the present invention.
[0008] In the preferred embodiment of the aforementioned gas-fired heating device, an arc-shaped cover protruding away from the ignition end is formed on the gas outlet end. Providing this arc-shaped cover at the gas outlet end facilitates gas accumulation near the gas outlet end, thereby increasing gas density and improving ignition success rate. Furthermore, the arc-shaped cover can partially shield the ignition needle, preventing damage from collisions with other components, thus extending the service life of the ignition needle.
[0009] In the preferred embodiment of the above-mentioned gas-fired heating device, the central axis of the ignition needle and the central axis of the burner are clamped to form a predetermined acute angle, and the range of the predetermined acute angle is 18°-30°. This setting ensures that the predetermined acute angle has a suitable range, preventing an excessively large angle from increasing the height of the burner support and occupying too much space, and also preventing an excessively small angle from reducing the probability of the electric spark generated at the ignition end contacting the gas, thus affecting the reliability of ignition.
[0010] In the preferred embodiment of the above-mentioned gas-fired heating device, the gas-fired heating device further includes: a gas pipe adapted to be connected to the external gas source; a gas valve fixed on the top and spaced apart from the burner, configured to be connected to the gas pipe and control the on / off state of the gas pipe, and the gas valve is also provided with a nozzle facing the inlet end; and a combustion cylinder, the combustion cylinder forming a combustion chamber in which the gas is allowed to burn, and the outlet end and the ignition end are located inside the combustion chamber. The gas pipe is configured to be connected to the external gas source, so that the gas can conveniently enter the burner along the gas pipe. The gas valve is fixed on the top of the burner support and spaced apart from the burner for matching with the burner. In addition, the gas valve can conveniently control the on / off state of the gas pipe to accurately control the amount of gas entering the gas pipe. The combustion cylinder forming a combustion chamber in which the gas is allowed to burn improves the safety of gas combustion. Furthermore, the fact that both the outlet end and the ignition end are located inside the combustion chamber effectively prevents gas leakage and further improves safety.
[0011] To address the technical problem of existing gas-fired heating devices' difficulty in quickly and promptly igniting gas, this invention also provides a garment care machine. The garment care machine includes: a cabinet defining a receiving cavity for placing garments to be treated and a heating chamber spaced apart from the receiving cavity; and a gas-fired heating device according to any one of the above claims, the gas-fired heating device being arranged in the heating chamber and configured to heat drying air supplied to the receiving cavity for drying the garments to be treated. By employing the gas-fired heating device according to any one of the above claims, the garment care machine of this invention not only effectively ignites the gas and improves ignition reliability, but also possesses high heating efficiency, improves drying efficiency, and reduces operating costs.
[0012] In the preferred embodiment of the above-mentioned garment care machine, the burner bracket has a U-shaped body extending vertically and opening towards the rear of the cabinet, a top located above the U-shaped body, and a fixed flange extending vertically outward from the bottom edge of the U-shaped body, wherein the fixed flange is fixedly connected to the bottom plate of the cabinet. This configuration results in a simple structure for the burner bracket, making it easy to manufacture.
[0013] In the preferred embodiment of the aforementioned garment care machine, the fixed flange has a first flange near the front of the cabinet, and a second and third flange extending from the front towards the rear and opposite to each other. The first flange is threadedly connected to the base plate, and the second and third flanges are snap-fitted to the base plate. The first flange near the front of the cabinet is fixed to the base plate by a threaded connection, and the second and third flanges near the rear of the cabinet are fixed to the base plate by snap-fitting. This allows the user to easily disassemble the burner bracket and components such as the burner, ignition needle, and gas valve fixed to the burner bracket from the front of the cabinet, facilitating disassembly, inspection, and maintenance.
[0014] In the preferred embodiment of the above-mentioned garment care machine, each of the second and third flanges is provided with a through hole, and a vertically downward extending snap-fit element is formed on one lateral edge of each through hole. Furthermore, a snap-fit hole is formed on the base plate to receive the corresponding snap-fit element. The snap-fit element and snap-fit hole allow the second and third flanges to be easily snapped onto the base plate.
[0015] In the preferred embodiment of the above-mentioned garment care machine, a tapered connector is formed on each of the second and third flanges, away from the front portion. A combustion cylinder support for mounting the combustion cylinder of the gas-fired heating device is also fixed on the base plate, and a connection cavity is formed between the combustion cylinder support and the base plate, allowing the corresponding tapered connector to be inserted. The tapered connector and the connection cavity further improve the reliability of the connection between the burner support and the base plate. Furthermore, the connection cavity is arranged to be formed by the combustion cylinder support and the base plate together, which not only facilitates processing but also increases the fit and connection between the burner support, the base plate, and the combustion cylinder support, improving structural stability.
[0016] In the preferred embodiment of the above-mentioned garment care machine, a vertically upward extending limiting protrusion is formed on the tapered connector. The limiting protrusion ensures reliable connection between the tapered connector and the insertion cavity, and also improves the rigidity and strength of the tapered connector, extending its service life. Based on Figure 8 As shown, the inclined surface 243222 extends obliquely upward from the top of the vertical surface 243221 to the horizontal surface 243223. The horizontal surface 243223 extends approximately horizontally. This arrangement allows the snap-fit element 24322 to be easily inserted into the corresponding snap-fit hole (not shown) on the base plate 12, forming a snap-fit engagement between the burner bracket 24 and the base plate 12. Alternatively, the third fixing flange 2433 is provided with the same through hole 24321 and snap-fit element 24322 as the second fixing flange 2432, resulting in a more even force distribution when the burner bracket 24 is snapped into the base plate 12.
[0046] See also Figure 7In one or more embodiments, a generally tapered connector 24323 is formed at one end of the second fixing flange 2432 near the rear portion 10b (in the assembled state). The tapered connector 24323 is configured to insert into a insertion cavity (not shown) formed between the burner support 27 and the base plate 12 to further improve the stability of the fixation between the burner support 24 and the base plate 12. Alternatively, the third fixing flange 2433 is provided with the same tapered connector 24323 as the second fixing flange 2432. In one or more embodiments, a vertically upward extending limiting protrusion 243231 is also formed on the tapered connector 24323, such that when the tapered connector 24323 is inserted into the insertion cavity, the limiting protrusion 243231 can abut against the burner support 27 to enhance the firmness and stability of the insertion.
[0047] It should be noted that by setting the first fixing flange 2431 of the burner bracket 24 to form a threaded connection with the base plate 12, and setting the second fixing flange 2432 and the third fixing flange 2433 to form a snap-fit connection with the base plate 12, the user can easily install and remove the burner bracket 24 from the front 10a of the cabinet 10, which facilitates the installation, disassembly, maintenance and replacement of the burner bracket 24 and components such as the gas valve 22, burner 23 and ignition needle 25 that are fixedly connected to the burner bracket 24.
[0048] Figure 4 This is a schematic diagram of an embodiment of the gas-fired heating device of the present invention, which removes the gas pipe and the combustion cylinder; Figure 5 This is an embodiment of the gas-fired heating device of the present invention that removes the gas pipe and combustion cylinder. Figure 4 The sectional view obtained by the AA section line shown. Figure 4 and Figure 5 As shown, in one or more embodiments, the burner 23 is fixed generally horizontally to the top 242 of the burner support 24. The burner 23 has opposing inlet end 23a and outlet end 23b. The inlet end 23a is close to the nozzle 221 of the gas valve 22. The outlet end 23b is away from the nozzle 221 of the gas valve 22 and positioned away from the top 242 to mate with the ignition end 252 on the ignition needle 25. In one or more embodiments, the burner 23 includes an upper housing 231 and a lower housing 232 that mate with each other to form a generally cylindrical gas guide chamber 233. With the above arrangement, the gas ejected from the nozzle 221 of the gas valve 22 can be injected in a generally horizontal direction within the gas guide chamber 233 to ensure a high combustion rate. In one or more embodiments, based on... Figure 5As shown, an arc-shaped cover 2311 protrudes upwards (in the assembled state, i.e., towards the ignition end 252 away from the ignition needle 25) on the gas outlet 23b. The arc-shaped cover 2311 helps to concentrate the gas near the gas outlet 23b, thereby increasing the gas density and improving the ignition success rate. In addition, the arc-shaped cover 2311 can also partially shield the ignition needle 25, preventing damage from collisions with other components, thus extending the service life of the ignition needle 25.
[0049] like Figure 5 As shown, in one or more embodiments, the ignition needle 25 has a fixed end 251 fixed inside the burner bracket 24 and an ignition end 252 located directly below the gas outlet end 23b of the burner 23. See also Figure 5 The ignition needle 25 is mostly located inside the burner support 24, allowing the burner support 24 to effectively protect the ignition needle 25. The ignition end 252 is positioned near and directly below the gas outlet end 23b, allowing the electric spark generated by the ignition end 252 to easily ignite the gas ejected from the gas outlet end 23b. Furthermore, the ignition needle 25 is communicatively connected to the control system of the garment care machine 1, enabling convenient control of the opening and closing of the ignition needle 25 through the control system. Figure 5 As shown, the ignition needle 25 is positioned to extend obliquely to the upper left (gradually approaching the burner 23) from the fixed end 251 toward the ignition end 252. This arrangement ensures that the central axis L1 of the ignition needle 25 and the central axis L2 of the burner 23 clamp together to form a predetermined acute angle α. In one or more embodiments, the predetermined acute angle α ranges from 18° to 30°. This prevents the angle from being too large, which would increase the height of the burner support 24 and occupy too much space, and also prevents the angle from being too small, which would reduce the probability of the electric spark generated at the ignition end 252 contacting the gas and affect the reliability of ignition.
[0050] See also Figure 4 and Figure 5 In one or more embodiments, the burner support 27 has a generally Z-shaped body 271. Specifically, the Z-shaped body 271 includes a transverse bottom wall 271 extending generally horizontally, a vertical connecting wall 2712 extending vertically upward from the side of the transverse bottom wall 271 away from the burner support 24, and a transverse top wall 2713 extending vertically from the top edge of the vertical connecting wall 2712 in a direction away from the burner support 24. A plurality of fixing holes (not shown) spaced apart in the left-right direction are formed in the transverse bottom wall 271. Each fixing hole can mate with a suitable fastener (including but not limited to screws, bolts, etc.) so that the burner support 27 is detachably fixed to the base plate 12. The number of fixing holes can be two, three, or other suitable numbers. Figure 6 yes Figure 4The image shown is a partial enlarged view of part A of the gas-fired heating device of the present invention, after removing the gas pipe and combustion cylinder. (See image.) Figure 6 As shown, in one or more embodiments, a vertically upward protruding insertion protrusion 27111 is also provided on the transverse bottom wall 2711. This insertion protrusion 27111, together with the bottom plate 12, forms an insertion cavity that can receive the corresponding tapered insertion connector 24323. A plurality of fixing holes (not shown in the figure) spaced apart in the left-right direction are also provided on the transverse top wall 2713. Each fixing hole is matched with a suitable fastener (including but not limited to screws, bolts, etc.) so that the combustion cylinder 26 can be firmly fixed to the combustion cylinder support 27. The number of fixing holes can be two, three, or other suitable numbers.
[0051] like Figure 3 As shown, in one or more embodiments, the combustion tube 26 is detachably fixed to the combustion tube spacer 27. The combustion tube 26 has opposing inlet end 261 and outlet end 262. The inlet end 261 has an inlet with a diameter of R1 (not shown in the figure), and the outlet end 262 has an outlet with a diameter of R2 (not shown in the figure), where R1 is greater than R2. Therefore, the combustion tube 26 forms a combustion chamber 263 with a longitudinal cross-section that gradually decreases from the inlet end 261 to the outlet end 262. Through the above arrangement, the combustion tube 26 can effectively utilize the heat generated after combustion of the gas, ensuring the heat utilization rate. In addition, the gas outlet end 23b of the burner 23 and the ignition end 252 of the ignition needle 25 are both arranged within the combustion chamber 263, which can ensure the safety of gas combustion. In one or more embodiments, a flame detector 28 is also provided on the outer wall of the combustion cylinder 26 near the ignition end 252 to detect the temperature of the ignition end 252. This allows the gas valve 22 to be opened only when the temperature of the ignition end 252 reaches a predetermined temperature threshold, further improving ignition safety. In one or more embodiments, an air distribution duct 29 is also provided around the outlet end 262 of the combustion cylinder 26 to supply the air required for gas combustion into the combustion chamber 263, ensuring complete combustion of the gas.
