Abstract

The application discloses a high-strength polyethylene fiber with optimized heat resistance and a preparation method thereof. The fiber has a three-layer structure, the inner layer is composed of high-molecular-weight polyethylene, the middle layer is composed of high-molecular-weight polyethylene and aerogel, and the outer layer is a wear-resistant and heat-resistant coating. The preparation steps are as follows: high-molecular-weight polyethylene raw material powder is mixed with an antioxidant, heated and melted to prepare spinning melt A; high-molecular-weight polyethylene raw material powder is mixed with the antioxidant and aerogel, heated and melted to prepare spinning melt B; the two layers of the inner layer and the outer layer are formed into a composite fluid through composite spinning, and the composite fluid is cooled and heat-drawn to prepare the high-strength polyethylene fiber, which is coated with a wear-resistant protective coating and dried to obtain the finished product. The composite fiber prepared by the application has high breaking strength and high strength retention rate in a short-time high-temperature environment, can meet the requirements of short-time high-temperature application occasions with high requirements on fiber breaking strength, and solves the problem of failure of the high-strength polyethylene fiber in the short-time high-temperature use process.
