Abstract

The gripping device comprises a belt (10) having at least a first gripping end (12A) and a second gripping end (11A), and a gripping member (14) connecting the two gripping ends and being held relative thereto such that gripping of the gripping member moves the first gripping end and the second gripping end relative to each other by the gripping belt. The clamping member (14) is held relative to at least the first clamping end (12A) by the spring (24) and the connector (26) such that the clamping of the clamping member (14) tends to move the connector (26) relative to the first clamping end (12A) against the elastic restoring force of the spring. The connecting piece (26) can occupy a waiting position relative to the first clamping end (12A). In the waiting position, the connecting piece (26) holds the spring (24) relative to the first clamping end.
