Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle body front structure of a vehicle having a power unit room at the front of the vehicle body. Background Art
[0002] Generally, a vehicle such as a car has a power unit chamber at the front of the vehicle body. A power unit such as an engine and an electric motor is mounted in the power unit chamber. Such a power unit is a rigid body. Therefore, when the vehicle collides head-on, it is almost impossible for the power unit to absorb the impact. When the power unit moves backward due to the impact during a head-on collision, the vehicle chamber is deformed. Therefore, it is preferred that the power unit chamber is in front of the power unit to absorb the collision load during a head-on collision.
[0003] As a vehicle front structure for mitigating collision loads during a frontal collision, for example, the vehicle front structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Gazette No. 2015-168363) is well known. The vehicle front structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 includes a pair of first collision boxes respectively connected to a pair of side frames (front side frames), a pair of second collision boxes respectively connected to a pair of lower members (lower side frames), a pair of left and right longitudinal columns connecting the first collision box and the second collision box, and a connecting component connecting the longitudinal columns to each other. The connecting component limits the outward displacement of the longitudinal column in the vehicle width direction and maintains the supporting rigidity in the extension direction of the second collision box. Therefore, the vehicle front structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 effectively absorbs the collision load not only through the first collision box but also through the second collision box.

[0007] Problems to be solved by the invention
[0008] However, the technology disclosed in the above-mentioned Patent Document 1 is sometimes difficult to suppress the deformation of the power unit chamber in a small overlap frontal collision or the like. For example, when a large collision load acts locally on a side area in front of the vehicle body due to a small overlap frontal collision, the first crash box and the second crash box that exist only on one side area of the vehicle body are sometimes difficult to fully absorb the collision load. In this case, it is difficult to fully suppress the deformation of the power unit chamber.
[0009] In particular, in a vehicle body front structure equipped with a power unit for an electric vehicle, it becomes more difficult to suppress the deformation of the power unit chamber during a small overlap frontal collision. That is, compared with a power unit using a reciprocating engine or the like, the power unit of an electric vehicle is easily miniaturized. When the power unit is miniaturized, the lower side frame for supporting the power unit is arranged at a position closer to the inside in the vehicle width direction than the front side frame. Therefore, the second collision box is arranged at a position closer to the inside in the vehicle width direction than the first collision box. The second collision box arranged in this way is difficult to fully absorb the collision load during a small overlap frontal collision. As a result, it is more difficult for the vehicle body front structure for an electric vehicle to fully suppress the deformation of the power unit chamber.
[0010] An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle body front structure capable of suppressing deformation of a power unit chamber in either a full overlap frontal collision or a small overlap frontal collision.
[0011] Technical solutions for solving technical problems
[0012] A vehicle body front structure of one embodiment of the present invention includes: a front side frame, which extends along the front-to-back direction of the vehicle body at the side of the power unit chamber; a lower side frame, which extends along the front-to-back direction of the vehicle body below the front side frame; a first collision box, which is arranged at the front end portion of the front side frame; a second collision box, which is arranged at the front end portion of the lower side frame; and an inclined plate, which is fixed to the lower side frame directly behind the second collision box, and the inclined plate is inclined toward the upper side of the lower side frame and the outer side in the vehicle width direction in a state in which at least a portion of the plate surface is opposite to the surface of the front side frame on the outer side in the vehicle width direction.
[0013] Effects of the Invention
[0014] According to the vehicle body front structure of the present invention, deformation of the power unit chamber can be suppressed in either a full overlap frontal collision or a small overlap frontal collision. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0030] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Figure 1 to Figure 15 One embodiment of the present invention is concerned.
[0031] like Figure 1 and Figure 4 As shown, a vehicle body 2 of a vehicle 1 such as an electric car includes a cab 5 and a motor room 6 as a power unit room.
[0032] The cab 5 is provided at a substantially central portion in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2. The vehicle body frame forming the cab 5 includes a floor 10, a footrest 11, a pair of left and right side members 12, and a pair of left and right front pillars 13.
[0033] The floor panel 10 is formed of, for example, a sheet metal member having a substantially flat plate shape. The floor panel 10 constitutes the floor surface of the cab 5. A battery chamber 15 is provided below the floor panel 10. A plurality of batteries 16 are accommodated in the battery chamber 15.
[0034] The footrest 11 is formed of, for example, a sheet metal member formed in a shape rising upward from the front end of the floor 10. The footrest 11 forms a partition wall for partitioning the operator's room 5 and the motor room 6.
[0035] Each side beam 12 is, for example, a hollow member having a closed cross-sectional shape. These side beams 12 are formed, for example, by joining a plurality of panels. At the left and right side portions of the floor 10, each side beam 12 extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2. Furthermore, each side beam 12 is joined to the left and right side portions of the floor 10.
[0036] Each front pillar 13 is, for example, a hollow member having a closed cross-sectional shape. These front pillars 13 are formed, for example, by joining a plurality of panels. The lower end of each front pillar 13 is joined to the front end of each side beam 12. In addition, the left and right sides of the footrest 11 are joined to each front pillar 13, respectively.
[0037] The motor room 6 is provided in front of the cab 5. The vehicle body frame forming the motor room 6 includes a pair of left and right upper side frames 21, a pair of left and right front side frames 22, and a base 23.
[0038] The upper frames 21 are made of sheet metal, for example. The rear end portions of the upper frames 21 are joined to the front pillars 13. Thus, the upper frames 21 extend in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2 above the left and right sides of the motor room 6, respectively.
[0039] Each front side frame 22 is, for example, a hollow member having a rectangular closed cross-sectional shape. These front side frames 22 are formed by, for example, joining a plurality of panels.
[0040] Each front side frame 22 has a rear region 22a, an inclined region 22b, and a front region 22c along the longitudinal direction.
[0041] The rear regions 22a extend substantially horizontally toward the front of the vehicle body 2. The rear ends of the rear regions 22a are joined to the front ends of the side members 12, for example, via the torque boxes 27. Thus, when the vehicle 1 is subjected to a head-on collision, the rear regions 22a can transmit the impact load transmitted from the front of the vehicle body 2 to the side members 12.
[0042] Each inclined region 22b is inclined at a predetermined elevation angle from the front end of each rear region 22a toward the front of the vehicle body 2.
[0043] Each front region 22 c extends substantially horizontally toward the front of the vehicle body 2 from the front end of each inclined region 22 b .
[0044] Here, if Figure 5 As shown, the suspension tower 30 is provided between each upper side frame 21 and each front side frame 22. A part of each suspension tower 30 is formed integrally with each upper side frame 21 and each front side frame 22, respectively.
[0045] like Figure 1 and Figure 6 As shown, the base 23 is configured to include, for example, a pair of left and right lower frames 31 and a pair of front and rear cross beams 32 .
[0046] Each lower frame 31 is, for example, a hollow member having a rectangular closed cross-sectional shape. Each lower frame 31 is, for example, formed by joining a plurality of panels. These lower frames 31 extend in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2 .
[0047] Here, for example, Figure 2 As shown, the interval between the lower side frames 31 in the vehicle width direction is set narrower than the interval between the pair of front side frames 22. In addition, each lower side frame 31 is arranged at a position where a part of the area outside the vehicle width direction of each lower side frame 31 overlaps with each front side frame 22 in the vertical direction.
[0048] Furthermore, a suspension arm 37 is connected to the outer side surface of each lower frame 31 in the vehicle width direction (see Figures 4 to 6 ). Thus, each suspension arm 37 is supported by the base 23 in a manner that allows it to swing freely in the up-down direction.
[0049] Each cross member 32 is, for example, a hollow member having a closed cross-sectional shape. These cross members 32 are formed by, for example, joining a plurality of panels. Each cross member 32 extends in the vehicle width direction at a predetermined interval in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body.
[0050] The left and right ends of each cross beam 32 are respectively joined to the middle of each lower frame 31. Thus, each lower frame 31 and each cross beam 32 constitute a base 23 for supporting a power unit 45 such as an electric motor and a control unit 46 on the vehicle body 2.
[0051] like Figure 1 to Figure 5 As shown in FIG. 2 , the base 23 thus constructed is joined to the lower portion of each front side frame 22. Specifically, the rear region of each lower side frame 31 constituting the base 23 is joined to the rear region 22a of each front side frame 22. In addition, the middle portion of each lower side frame 31 is joined to the front region 22c of each front side frame 22 via a columnar reinforcement member 33. Figure 1 As shown, the reinforcement member 33 is formed in a prism shape, for example. Preferably, the reinforcement member 33 is joined to the front portion of the suspension tower 30 .
[0052] In the state where the base 23 is connected to each front side frame 22, the front end of each lower side frame 31 is arranged at the same vehicle body front and rear position as the front end of each front side frame 22 (see Figure 1 , Figure 2 and Figure 5 ). That is, each lower frame 31 extends toward the front of the vehicle body in front of each cross beam 32 provided on the base 23. In other words, the front region of each lower frame 31 is set to be longer than the length required to support the power unit 45 and the like.
[0053] A radiator support 35 is attached to the inner side of the front end of each of the lower frames 31. In addition, an inclined plate 36 is provided in the front region (extended portion) of each of the lower frames 31 on the outer side in the vehicle width direction than the radiator support 35.
[0054] The radiator support 35 is a frame body for supporting a radiator core (not shown) in front of the motor room 6. The radiator support 35 includes a radiator lower frame 351, a radiator upper frame 35u, and a pair of left and right radiator side frames 35s.
[0055] The radiator lower frame 351 extends in the vehicle width direction at the front end of each lower frame 31. The left and right ends of the radiator lower frame 351 are joined to the front end of each lower frame 31. Thus, on the base 23, the radiator lower frame 351 forms a so-called ladder structure together with the front and rear pair of cross members 32 and the left and right pair of lower frames 31.
[0056] The radiator upper frame 35u extends in the vehicle width direction above the radiator lower frame 35l. The radiator upper frame 35u is connected to the radiator lower frame 35l via a pair of radiator side frames 35s. That is, the left and right ends of the radiator lower frame 35l and the radiator upper frame 35u are connected via a pair of radiator side frames 35s.
[0057] The radiator side frames 35s are provided with brackets 35b, respectively. The brackets 35b are formed of, for example, a flat plate member extending outward in the vehicle width direction.
[0058] The front end of each front side frame 22 is joined to the rear surface of each bracket 35b. In addition, the first crash box 38 protruding toward the front of the vehicle body 2 is joined to the front surface of each bracket 35b. Each first crash box 38 is arranged at a position continuous with each front side frame 22 via each bracket 35b. In addition, a bumper beam 39 extending in the vehicle width direction is joined to the front end of each first crash box 38.
[0059] Each inclined plate 36 is formed of a thick metal plate member having a predetermined rigidity. Figure 1 As shown, each inclined plate 36 is composed of a flat plate in the shape of a right triangle, for example.
[0060] Each inclined plate 36 is arranged in the front region of each lower side frame 31 in a state where the bottom edge portion extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2 (see Figure 1 and Figure 2 That is, each inclined plate 36 is arranged in the front region of each lower side frame 31 at a front-rear position of the vehicle body 2 directly behind each first crash box 38. In addition, each inclined plate 36 is arranged in a manner inclined above the lower side frame 31 and outward in the vehicle width direction in a state where at least a portion of the plate surface of each inclined plate 36 is opposite to the surface of the outer side in the vehicle width direction of each front side frame 22 (see Figure 2 to Figure 4 ). In addition, for example, Figure 3 As shown, each inclined plate 36 is preferably disposed at a position where at least a portion is hidden by the bumper beam 39 when the vehicle body 2 is viewed from the front.
[0061] The bottom side of each inclined plate 36 thus arranged is fixed to the front region of each lower side frame 31 by welding or the like. In addition, the top of each inclined plate 36 is fixed to each bracket 35b at a position closer to the outside in the vehicle width direction than each front side frame 22. In addition, the top side of each inclined plate 36 is connected to the radiator lower frame 351 via, for example, a tubular stay 40. Thus, each inclined plate 36 is firmly fixed to the front portion of the vehicle body 2.
[0062] Here, each inclined plate 36 is inclined as described above, so that it can be fixed to the lower frame 31 without interfering with the front wheel during steering.
[0063] In addition, the shape of the inclined plate 36 is not limited to a right triangle. For example, the shape of each inclined plate 36 can be various triangles, trapezoids, or rectangles. However, the shape of each inclined plate 36 is preferably a shape that tapers from the bottom side to the top side.
[0064] The second crash box 41 is joined to the front end of each lower frame 31 to which each inclined plate 36 is fixed. That is, each second crash box 41 is arranged right in front of each inclined plate 36. In addition, a lip spoiler 42 extending in the vehicle width direction is joined to the front end of each second crash box 41.
[0065] Next, the operation of the vehicle body 2 during a full overlap frontal collision will be described.
[0066] For example, Figure 7 As shown, in the early stage of the full overlap frontal collision, the bumper beam 39 and each first collision box 38 are crushed (buckled) due to the collision of the wall-like obstacle 50w. At the same time, the lip spoiler 42 and the second collision box 41 are crushed (buckled) due to the collision of the wall-like obstacle 50w.
[0067] In the subsequent mid-collision, e.g. Figure 8As shown, the front regions 22c of the front side frames 22 and the front regions of the lower side frames 31 of the base 23 begin to be crushed (buckled). As the front regions of the lower side frames 31 are crushed, the collision load is transmitted to the bottom edge portions of the inclined plates 36. As a result, the inclined plates 36 are deformed together with the lower side frames 31, and the obstruction of the collision stroke by the inclined plates 36 is suppressed.
[0068] At the end of the subsequent collision, e.g. Fig. 9 As shown, each front side frame 22 and each lower side frame 31 are further crushed.
[0069] In this case, the rear portion of each lower side frame 31 is connected to each front side frame 22. In addition, the middle portion of each lower side frame 31 is connected to each front side frame 22 via a reinforcing member 33. As a result, each lower side frame 31 does not retreat to the rear of the vehicle body 2 during a frontal collision, but generates a reaction force in the front area of the motor room 6. As a result, each lower side frame 31 cooperates with each front side frame 22 to suppress deformation of the motor room 6.
[0070] Next, the action during a small overlap frontal collision will be described.
[0071] For example, Fig.10 and Fig.11 As shown, in the early stage of the small overlap frontal collision, the bumper beam 39 and the first crash box 38 on the collision side of the obstacle 50p such as a pole are crushed. At the same time, the lip spoiler 42 and the second crash box 41 on the collision side of the obstacle 50p such as a pole are crushed.
[0072] In addition, the second crash box 41 is arranged at a position closer to the inside in the vehicle width direction than the first crash box 38. Therefore, the crushing amount of the first crash box 38 and the crushing amount of the second crash box 41 are different depending on the collision position of the obstacle 50p. Fig.10 and Fig.11 In the example shown, the crushing amount of the second crash box 41 is relatively smaller than the crushing amount of the first crash box 38 .
[0073] In the subsequent mid-collision period, Fig.12 and Fig.13 As shown, as the side ends of the bumper beam 39 and the lip spoiler 42 are crushed, the first crash box 38 and the second crash box 41 are further crushed.
[0074] At the end of the subsequent collision, e.g. Fig.14 and Fig.15 As shown, the obstacle 50 p reaches the vicinity of the front side frame 22 , the lower side frame 31 , and the inclined plate 36 .
[0075] Here, the bottom side of the inclined plate 36 is fixed to the lower frame 31 firmly connected to the lower part of the front frame 22. In addition, the top side of the inclined plate 36 is arranged at a position closer to the outer side in the vehicle width direction than the lower frame 31. Therefore, if the obstacle 50p intrudes into the vehicle body 2 in a state of being offset to the outer side in the vehicle width direction relative to the lower frame 31, the lower frame 31 also transmits a reaction force to the obstacle 50p via the inclined plate 36.
[0076] Therefore, the inclined plate 36 deforms while transmitting the reaction force from the lower frame 31 to the obstacle. In this case, the inclined plate 36 forms a triangular shape that tapers from the bottom side to the top side. Therefore, when the collision load from the obstacle is input, the top side of the inclined plate 36 deforms more than the bottom side. By guiding the obstacle to the inclined plate 36 that has been deformed in this way, the contact position of the obstacle 50p and the vehicle body 2 is offset to the outside in the vehicle width direction. Through such an offset of the contact position, the collision load that is not absorbed by the first collision box 38 and the second collision box 41 is converted into a yaw moment that rotates the vehicle body 2. For example, when the obstacle 50p collides with the left side of the vehicle body 2, a yaw moment is generated in the vehicle body 2 in a direction that rotates the front part of the vehicle body 2 to the right.
[0077] The yaw moment generated by the tilt plate 36 reduces the collision load transmitted from the obstacle 50p to the front frame 22 and the lower frame 31. Thus, the front portions of the front frame 22 and the lower frame 31 are not greatly deformed and are relieved from the collision load of the obstacle 50p.
[0078] According to such an embodiment, the vehicle body front structure includes: a front side frame 22 extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2 at the side of the motor room 6, a lower side frame 31 extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2 below the front side frame 22, a first crash box 38 provided at the front end of the front side frame 22, a second crash box 41 provided at the front end of the lower side frame 31, and an inclined plate 36 fixed to the lower side frame 31 just behind the second crash box. The inclined plate 36 is inclined above the lower side frame 31 and outward in the vehicle width direction in a state where at least a part of the plate surface is opposite to the surface of the front side frame 22 outward in the vehicle width direction. With these structures, deformation of the motor room 6 can be suppressed in either a full overlap frontal collision or a small overlap frontal collision.
[0079] That is, the vehicle body 2 has the lower side frame 31 below the front side frame 22. In addition, the vehicle body 2 has the first crash box 38 and the second crash box 41 respectively provided at the front end of the front side frame 22 and the front end of the lower side frame 31. With these structures, the vehicle body 2 can disperse the collision load in the event of a full overlap frontal collision to the first crash box 38 and the second crash box 41 for absorption. As a result, the impact in front of the motor room 6 can be effectively absorbed, and the deformation of the motor room 6 can be effectively suppressed.
[0080] In addition, the vehicle body 2 includes an inclined plate 36 fixed to the lower frame 31 just behind the second crash box 41. In addition, the inclined plate 36 is inclined above the lower frame 31 and toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction, with at least a portion of the plate surface facing the outer surface of the front frame 22 in the vehicle width direction. With these structures, even if the obstacle 50p intrudes into the vehicle body 2 in a state of being offset toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction relative to the lower frame 31, the lower frame 31 can transmit the reaction force to the obstacle 50p via the inclined plate 36. Then, the inclined plate 36 deforms while transmitting the reaction force from the lower frame 31 to the obstacle 50p, so that the contact position of the obstacle 50p with the vehicle body 2 is offset toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction. As a result, the inclined plate 36 can convert the collision load that is not absorbed by the first crash box 38, the second crash box 41, etc. into a yaw moment of the vehicle body 2. As a result, the collision load can be suppressed from being transmitted to the motor room 6, and the deformation of the motor room 6 can be effectively suppressed.
[0081] In this case, the inclined plate 36 is a triangular plate, and the bottom side is fixed to the lower frame 31. Thus, the inclined plate 36 can deform the top side while transmitting the reaction force from the lower frame 31 to the obstacle 50p, so that the contact position between the obstacle 50p and the vehicle body 2 moves outward in the vehicle width direction.
[0082] Each lower frame 31 also serves as a component of the base 23 that supports the power unit 45 and the like in the motor room 6. Thus, the impact absorbing structure of the lower portion of the vehicle body 2 can be constructed without increasing the number of components.
[0083] In this case, the front end portion of each lower frame 31 is connected to the radiator lower frame 351 constituting the radiator support 35. Thus, the lower frame 31 can be reinforced without increasing the number of components.
[0084] Furthermore, the radiator side frame 35s of the radiator support 35 supports the front end of the front side frame 22 and the upper end (top) of the inclined plate 36 via the bracket 35b. Thus, the front end of the front side frame 22 can be connected to the front end of the lower side frame 31 via the inclined plate 36 and the bracket 35b. Furthermore, the bottom side and top of the inclined plate 36 can be fixed to the vehicle body 2, and vibration of the inclined plate 36 can be suppressed even during driving.
[0085] The invention described in the above embodiments is not limited to the above-mentioned modes. In addition, various modifications can be implemented in the implementation stage without departing from the scope of the present invention. In addition, the above embodiments include inventions at various stages, and various inventions can be extracted by appropriately combining the disclosed multiple constituent elements.
[0086] For example, when the problem can be solved and the effect can be obtained by deleting some of the components from all the components shown in the above-mentioned embodiment, the structure without the components can be extracted as an invention.
