Abstract

The application provides a preparation method of a novel ruthenium-based catalyst and application of the catalyst in a reaction of partial hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexene. Thanks to a large amount of mesopores with a size of less than 50 nm in the alumina carrier, the catalyst involved in the application can obtain a catalytic performance of 50-80 (i.e. a conversion rate of 50% and a cyclohexene selectivity of 80%) under low ruthenium, which is much higher than 50-60 of a comparative sample. This can greatly reduce the production cost of catalysis and improve the production efficiency of cyclohexene, thereby providing a certain possibility for subsequent industrial application.
