Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] One or more embodiments relate to a bag, a vaporizer including the bag, and an aerosol generating device including the bag. Background Art
[0002] Recently, there has been an increasing demand for alternative methods to overcome the disadvantages of general cigarettes. For example, there has been an increasing demand for systems for generating aerosols by heating cigarettes or aerosol-generating substances using an aerosol-generating device rather than by burning the cigarette. Therefore, research on heated aerosol-generating devices has been actively conducted.
[0003] An aerosol generating device for generating an aerosol by heating a liquid composition may include a vaporizer including the liquid composition. The vaporizer may be integrally formed with a body of the aerosol generating device, or may be detachably coupled to the aerosol generating device. Summary of the invention
[0004] Technical issues
[0005] A material having a sealing ability to prevent leakage of the liquid composition and a heat-resistant material capable of withstanding the heat generated during heating of the liquid composition are generally used in the vaporizer. However, when the initially stored liquid composition is completely consumed, the disposable vaporizer detachably coupled to the aerosol generating device is discarded, and therefore, cost-effectiveness for manufacturing and discarding the vaporizer must be considered.
[0006] The technical problems of the present disclosure are not limited to the above description, and other technical problems not set forth herein may be clearly understood from the present specification and the accompanying drawings by a person of ordinary skill in the art to which the embodiments of the present disclosure belong.
[0007] Solutions to the problem
[0008] A bag-shaped article according to an embodiment includes a liquid composition that generates an aerosol when heated, and a water-soluble film surrounding the liquid composition.
[0009] A vaporizer according to another embodiment includes a bag-like member and a heating portion detachably coupled to the bag-like member and heating a liquid composition, wherein the bag-like member includes a liquid composition that generates an aerosol when heated and a water-soluble film surrounding the liquid composition.
[0010] According to another embodiment, an aerosol generating device includes: a main body, which is configured to receive an aerosol generating product; a bag-like member, which includes a water-soluble film surrounding a liquid composition that generates an aerosol when heated; and a heating part, which is detachably connected to the bag-like member and is configured to heat the liquid composition, wherein the main body is detachably connected to a vaporizer, and the aerosol generated in the vaporizer passes through the aerosol generating product.
[0011] The technical issues of the present disclosure are not limited to the above description, and may include all matters that can be inferred from the specification by a person of ordinary skill in the art.
[0012] Advantageous Effects of the Invention
[0013] According to the bag-like member of the embodiment and the vaporizer including the bag-like member, when the liquid composition in the bag-like member is exhausted, the bag-like member can be replaced with a new bag-like member, while other parts can be continuously used. Since the bag-like member includes a water-soluble film, a simple and cost-effective disposal of the used bag-like member can be achieved by exposing the used bag-like member to water. In addition, since the water-soluble film of the bag-like member is light-weight and relatively easy to deform, the bag-like member can be easily replaced and contains a relatively large amount of liquid composition.
[0014] The effects of one or more embodiments are not limited to the above description, and include all effects that can be inferred from the following configurations. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0047] Hereinafter, the present disclosure will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are shown so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the present disclosure. However, the present disclosure can be implemented in many different forms and should not be construed as being limited to the embodiments set forth herein.
[0048] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0049] Figure 1 and Figure 2 is a diagram showing an example of an aerosol-generating article being inserted into an aerosol-generating device.
[0050] Reference Figure 1 and Figure 2, the aerosol generating device 100 may include a battery 110 , a controller 120 , a heater 130 , and a vaporizer 140 . In addition, the aerosol generating article 200 may be inserted into the inner space of the aerosol generating device 100 .
[0051] Figure 1 and Figure 2 The aerosol generating device 100 shown in the figure includes a vaporizer. However, the embodiments are not limited to the implementation method of the aerosol generating device 100, and the vaporizer may be omitted. In the case where the vaporizer is omitted from the aerosol generating device 100, the aerosol generating article 200 contains an aerosol generating substance so that when the aerosol generating article 200 is heated by the heater 130, the aerosol generating article 200 generates an aerosol.
[0052] Figure 1 and Figure 2 Components of the aerosol generating device 100 related to the present embodiment are shown. Therefore, a person skilled in the art related to the present embodiment will understand that, in addition to including Figure 1 and Figure 2 In addition to the components shown in FIG. 1 , other common components may also be included in the aerosol generating device 100 .
[0053] in addition, Figure 1 and Figure 2 It is shown that the aerosol generating device 100 includes a heater 130. However, the heater 130 may be omitted if desired.
[0054] Figure 1 It is shown that the battery 110, the controller 120, the vaporizer 140 and the heater 130 are arranged in series. Figure 2 1 and 130 are arranged in parallel. However, the internal structure of the aerosol generating device 100 is not limited to Figure 1 or Figure 2 That is, according to the design of the aerosol generating device 100, the battery 110, the controller 120, the vaporizer 140 and the heater 130 may be arranged in different ways.
[0055] When the aerosol-generating article 200 is inserted into the aerosol-generating device 100, the aerosol-generating device 100 may operate the vaporizer 140 to generate aerosol from the vaporizer 140. The aerosol generated by the vaporizer 140 is delivered to the user by passing through the aerosol-generating article 200. The vaporizer 140 will be described in more detail later.
[0056] The battery 110 may supply power for operating the aerosol generating device 100. For example, the battery 110 may supply power to heat the heater 130 or the vaporizer 140, and may supply power for operating the controller 120. In addition, the battery 110 may supply power for operating a display, a sensor, a motor, etc. installed in the aerosol generating device 100.
[0057] The controller 120 may control the operation of the aerosol generating device 100 as a whole. In detail, the controller 120 may control not only the operation of the battery 110, the heater 130, and the vaporizer 140, but also the operation of other components included in the aerosol generating device 100. In addition, the controller 120 may check the state of each of the components of the aerosol generating device 100 to determine whether the aerosol generating device 100 can operate.
[0058] The controller 120 may include at least one processor. The processor may be implemented as an array of multiple logic gates, or may be implemented as a combination of a general-purpose microprocessor and a memory storing a program that can be executed in the microprocessor. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the processor may be implemented in other forms of hardware.
[0059] The heater 130 may be heated by the power supplied from the battery 110. For example, when the aerosol generating article 200 is inserted into the aerosol generating device 100, the heater 130 may be located outside the aerosol generating article 200. Thus, the heated heater 130 may increase the temperature of the aerosol generating substance in the aerosol generating article 200.
[0060] The heater 130 may include a resistive heater. For example, the heater 130 may include a conductive trace, and when current flows through the conductive trace, the heater 130 may be heated. However, the heater 130 is not limited to the above example, and may include any other heater that can be heated to a desired temperature. Here, the desired temperature may be pre-set in the aerosol generating device 100, or may be set by a user.
[0061] As another example, the heater 130 may include an induction heater. In detail, the heater 130 may include a conductive coil for heating the aerosol-generating article by an induction heating method, and the aerosol-generating article may include an induction heating element (susceptor) that can be heated by the induction heater.
[0062] Figure 1 and Figure 2It is shown that the heater 130 is positioned outside the aerosol generating article 200, but the position of the heater 130 is not limited thereto. For example, the heater 130 may include a tube-type heating element, a plate-type heating element, a needle-type heating element, or a rod-type heating element, and the heater 130 may heat the inside or outside of the aerosol generating article 200 according to the shape of the heating element.
[0063] In addition, the aerosol generating device 100 may include a plurality of heaters 130. Here, the plurality of heaters 130 may be inserted into the aerosol generating article 200, or may be arranged outside the aerosol generating article 200. In addition, some of the plurality of heaters 130 may be inserted into the aerosol generating article 200, and other heaters of the plurality of heaters 130 may be arranged outside the aerosol generating article 200. In addition, the shape of the heater 130 is not limited to Figure 1 and Figure 2 The shapes shown in , and may include various shapes.
[0064] The vaporizer 140 may generate an aerosol by heating the liquid composition, and the generated aerosol may be delivered to the user through the aerosol generating article 200. In other words, the aerosol generated by the vaporizer 140 may move along the airflow channel of the aerosol generating device 100, and the airflow channel may be configured such that the aerosol generated by the vaporizer 140 passes through the aerosol generating article 200 and is delivered to the user.
[0065] For example, the vaporizer 140 may include a liquid storage portion, a liquid delivery element, and a heating element, but is not limited thereto. For example, the liquid storage portion, the liquid delivery element, and the heating element may be included in the aerosol generating device 100 as separate modules.
[0066] The liquid storage unit can store the liquid composition. For example, the liquid composition can be a liquid containing tobacco substances with volatile tobacco flavor components, or can be a liquid including non-tobacco substances. The liquid storage unit can be formed to be removable from the vaporizer 140, or the liquid storage unit can be formed integrally with the vaporizer 140.
[0067] For example, the liquid composition may include water, solvents, ethanol, plant extracts, spices, flavoring agents, or vitamin mixtures. Spices may include menthol, mint, spearmint oil, and various fruity ingredients, but are not limited thereto. Flavoring agents may include ingredients that can provide a variety of fragrances or tastes to the user. The vitamin mixture may be a mixture of at least one of vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, and vitamin E, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the liquid composition may include aerosol-forming substances, such as glycerol and propylene glycol.
[0068] The liquid delivery element can deliver the liquid composition of the liquid storage part to the heating element. For example, the liquid delivery element can be a core such as cotton fiber, ceramic fiber, glass fiber or porous ceramic, but is not limited thereto.
[0069] The heating element is an element for heating the liquid composition transported by the liquid delivery element. For example, the heating element can be a metal heating wire, a metal hot plate, a ceramic heater, etc., but is not limited thereto. In addition, the heating element can include a conductive wire, such as a nickel-chromium alloy wire, and the heating element can be positioned to wrap around the liquid delivery element. The heating element can be heated by a current supply device, and heat can be transferred to the liquid composition in contact with the heating element, thereby heating the liquid composition. Therefore, an aerosol can be generated.
[0070] For example, the vaporizer 140 may be referred to as a cartomizer or an atomizer, but is not limited thereto.
[0071] In addition to the battery 110, the controller 120, the heater 130, and the vaporizer 140, the aerosol generating device 100 may further include common components. For example, the aerosol generating device 100 may include a display capable of outputting visual information and / or a motor for outputting tactile information. In addition, the aerosol generating device 100 may include at least one sensor (a suction sensor, a temperature sensor, an aerosol generating article insertion detection sensor, etc.). In addition, the aerosol generating device 100 may be formed into a structure that can introduce external air or exhaust internal air even when the aerosol generating article 200 is inserted into the aerosol generating device 100.
[0072] Although not in Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown in , the aerosol generating device 100 and an additional cradle may form a system together. For example, the cradle may be used to charge the battery 110 of the aerosol generating device 100. Alternatively, the heater 130 may be heated when the cradle and the aerosol generating device 100 are coupled to each other.
[0073] The aerosol-generating article 200 may be similar to a general combustion cigarette. For example, the aerosol-generating article 200 may be divided into a first portion including an aerosol-generating substance and a second portion including a filter, etc. Alternatively, the second portion of the aerosol-generating article 200 may also include an aerosol-generating substance. For example, an aerosol-generating substance made in the form of particles or capsules may be inserted into the second portion.
[0074] The first part may be completely inserted into the aerosol generating device 100, and the second part may be exposed to the outside. Alternatively, only a portion of the first part may be inserted into the aerosol generating device 100, or a portion of the first part and a portion of the second part may be inserted into the aerosol generating device 100. The user may inhale the aerosol while holding the second part with the user's mouth. In this case, the aerosol is generated by passing the outside air through the first part, and the generated aerosol passes through the second part and is delivered to the user's mouth.
[0075] For example, external air may flow into at least one air channel formed in the aerosol generating device 100. For example, the opening and closing of the air channel and / or the size of the air channel formed in the aerosol generating device 100 may be adjusted by the user. Thus, the amount and quality of the puff may be adjusted by the user. As another example, external air may flow into the aerosol generating article 200 through at least one hole formed in the surface of the aerosol generating article 200.
[0076] In the following, reference will be made to Figure 3 and Figure 4 An example of an aerosol-generating article 200 is described.
[0077] Figure 3 and Figure 4 Examples of aerosol-generating articles are shown.
[0078] Reference Figure 3 , the aerosol generating article 200 includes a tobacco rod 210 and a filter rod 220. Figure 1 and Figure 2 The depicted first portion may include a tobacco rod 210 and the second portion may include a filter rod 220 .
[0079] Figure 3 It is shown that the filter rod 220 includes a single segment, but is not limited thereto. In other words, the filter rod 220 may include a plurality of segments. For example, the filter rod 220 may include a first segment configured to cool the aerosol and a second segment configured to filter the specific components contained in the aerosol. In addition, as required, the filter rod 220 may also include at least one segment configured to perform other functions.
[0080] The aerosol generating article 200 can be packaged by at least one package 240. The package 240 can have at least one hole through which external air can be introduced or internal air can be exhausted. For example, the aerosol generating article 200 can be packaged by one package 240. As another example, the aerosol generating article 200 can be double-packaged by two or more packages 240. For example, the tobacco rod 210 can be packaged by a first package 241, and the filter rod 220 can be packaged by packages 242, 243, 244. In addition, the entire aerosol generating article 200 can be packaged again by another single package 245. When the filter rod 220 includes a plurality of segments, each segment can be packaged by packages 242, 243, 244.
[0081] The tobacco rod 210 may include an aerosol-generating substance. For example, the aerosol-generating substance may include at least one of glycerol, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, and oleyl alcohol, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the tobacco rod 210 may include other additives, such as flavoring agents, humectants, and / or organic acids. In addition, the tobacco rod 210 may include a flavor liquid injected into the tobacco rod 210, such as menthol or a humectant.
[0082] Tobacco rod 210 can be manufactured in various forms. For example, tobacco rod 210 can be formed into sheet or strand. In addition, tobacco rod 210 can be formed into shredded tobacco formed by tiny fragments cut from tobacco sheet. In addition, tobacco rod 210 can be surrounded by heat-conducting material. For example, heat-conducting material can be but not limited to metal foil, such as aluminum foil. For example, the heat-conducting material around tobacco rod 210 can evenly distribute the heat transferred to tobacco rod 210, and therefore, the thermal conductivity applied to tobacco rod can be increased, and the taste of tobacco can be improved. In addition, the heat-conducting material around tobacco rod 210 can be used as an induction heating element heated by an induction heater. Here, although not shown in the drawings, in addition to including the heat-conducting material around tobacco rod 210, tobacco rod 210 can also include additional induction heating elements.
[0083] The filter rod 220 may include a cellulose acetate filter. The shape of the filter rod 220 is not limited. For example, the filter rod 220 may include a cylindrical rod or a tubular rod with a hollow interior. In addition, the filter rod 220 may include a concave rod. When the filter rod 220 includes a plurality of segments, at least one of the plurality of segments may have different shapes.
[0084] The filter rod 220 may be formed to generate a scent. For example, a scented liquid may be injected into the filter rod 220, or additional fibers coated with a scented liquid may be inserted into the filter rod 220.
[0085] In addition, the filter rod 220 may include at least one capsule 230. Here, the capsule 230 may generate a fragrance or an aerosol. For example, the capsule 230 may have a configuration in which a liquid containing a fragrance material is wrapped with a film. For example, the capsule 230 may have a spherical or cylindrical shape, but is not limited thereto.
[0086] When the filter rod 220 includes a section configured to cool the aerosol, the cooling section may include a polymer material or a biodegradable polymer material. For example, the cooling section may include only pure polylactic acid, but the material used to form the cooling section is not limited thereto. In some embodiments, the cooling section may include a cellulose acetate filter having a plurality of holes. However, the cooling section is not limited to the above examples, and as long as the cooling section cools the aerosol.
[0087] Reference Figure 4 The aerosol generating article 300 may further include a front end plug 330. The front end plug 330 may be located on the side of the tobacco rod 310 opposite to the filter rod 320. During smoking, the front end plug 330 may prevent the tobacco rod 310 from detaching outward and prevent the liquefied aerosol from flowing from the tobacco rod 310 into the aerosol generating device ( Figure 1 and Figure 2 of 100).
[0088] The filter rod 320 may include a first section 321 and a second section 322. Here, the first section 321 may correspond to Figure 3 The first section of the filter rod 220, and the second section 322 may correspond to Figure 3 The third section of the filter rod 220.
[0089] The diameter and overall length of the aerosol-generating article 300 may correspond to Figure 3 The diameter and total length of the aerosol generating article 200. For example, the length of the front end plug 330 is about 7 mm, the length of the tobacco rod 310 is about 15 mm, the length of the first section 321 is about 12 mm, and the length of the second section 322 is about 14 mm, but is not limited thereto.
[0090] The aerosol generating article 300 may be packaged using at least one packaging member 350. The packaging member 350 may have at least one hole through which external air may be introduced or internal air may be exhausted. For example, the front end plug 330 may be packaged by a first packaging member 351, and the tobacco rod 310 may be packaged by a second packaging member 352, and the first section 321 may be packaged by a third packaging member 353, and the second section 322 may be packaged by a fourth packaging member 354.
[0091] In addition, the entire aerosol generating article 300 may be packaged by a fifth packaging member 355. In addition, at least one perforation 360 may be formed in the fifth packaging member 355. For example, the perforation 360 may be formed in a region surrounding the tobacco rod 310, but is not limited thereto. The perforation 360 may be used to pass the tobacco rod 310 through the fifth packaging member 355. Figure 2 and Figure 3 The heat generated by the heater 130 is shown to be transferred to the interior of the tobacco rod 310.
[0092] In addition, at least one capsule 340 may be included in the second section 322. Here, the capsule 340 may generate a fragrance or an aerosol. For example, the capsule 340 may have a configuration in which a liquid containing a fragrance material is wrapped with a film. For example, the capsule 340 may have a spherical or cylindrical shape, but is not limited thereto.
[0093] Hereinafter, a bag according to an embodiment is described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0094] Figures 5 to 7 The exterior of the bag 10 is shown according to an embodiment. Figure 5 is a top view of the bag-like member 10 according to the embodiment, Figure 6 Shows Figure 5 A perspective view of the bag 10, and Figure 7 Shows Figure 5 10 is a side view of the bag-like member 10.
[0095] Reference Figures 5 to 7 The bag-shaped member 10 according to the embodiment may include a liquid composition and a water-soluble film surrounding the liquid composition.
[0096] The bag-shaped member 10 according to the embodiment may include a water-soluble film 13, which forms the outside of the bag-shaped member 10 so that a space is formed in the bag-shaped member 10. The liquid composition may be stored in the space formed inside the bag-shaped member 10. For example, Figures 5 to 7 As shown, the edges of the two water-soluble films 13 are coupled to each other, and thus, an internal space may be formed inside the bag 10. However, one or more embodiments are not limited thereto, and the internal space may be formed using two or more water-soluble films 13 or a single water-soluble film 13.
[0097] At least a portion of the water-soluble film 13 may be transparent. The user can visually check the liquid composition remaining in the bag 10 through the transparent portion of the water-soluble film 13. For example, the water-soluble film 13 may be transparent due to the inherent properties of the material used to form the water-soluble film 13. Figures 5 to 7An example of the bag 10 including the completely transparent water-soluble film 13 is shown, but one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. As another example, the water-soluble film 13 may include a separate transparent portion formed of a material different from that of the water-soluble film 13 .
[0098] Water-soluble film 13 can be a film that dissolves in water and has flexibility. Water-soluble film 13 can include water-soluble polymers. For example, water-soluble film 13 can include one or more water-soluble polymers selected from the following: polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, sodium alginate, pullulan (pullulan), xanthan gum, polyethylene oxide, starch or starch derivatives, gelatin and alkyl cellulose.
[0099] Here, the alkylcellulose may be one or more selected from the group consisting of methylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxymethylcellulose, and hydroxypropylcellulose.
[0100] The water-soluble film 13 may include an additive configured to improve heat resistance. The additive may include one or more substances selected from the following: silicon, silicon dioxide, calcium chloride, zeolite and clay. Here, the clay may be selected from the following: soapstone (SPT), montmorillonite (MMT), hectorite (SWN), water-soluble bentonite (PGV), mica or a mixture thereof.
[0101] For example, the water-soluble film 13 may be manufactured by casting a homogeneous slurry prepared by mixing 5 to 20 parts by weight of a water-soluble polymer with 1 to 3 parts by weight of an additive based on 100 parts by weight of distilled water and then drying the homogeneous slurry.
[0102] The liquid composition heated to generate an aerosol may be stored in the inner space of the bag 10. As described below, the liquid composition in the bag 10 may be discharged to the outside of the bag 10, and the discharged liquid composition may be heated by an external heating element so that an aerosol may be generated.
[0103] Reference above Figure 1 and Figure 2 The description provided may also apply to liquid compositions. For example, the liquid composition may include water, solvents, ethanol, plant extracts, spices, flavoring agents, or vitamin mixtures. Spices may include, but are not limited to, menthol, mint, spearmint oil, and various fruity ingredients. Flavoring agents may include ingredients that can provide a variety of aromas or flavors to the user. The vitamin mixture may be a mixture of at least one of vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, and vitamin E, but is not limited to this. In addition, the liquid composition may include aerosol-generating substances, such as glycerol and propylene glycol.
[0104] According to an embodiment, the bag-like member 10 may include a support member 14 that is located in the bag-like member 10 and supports the shape of the bag-like member 10. The support member 14 may include metal, plastic and / or paper, but one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. The support member 14 may be located in the bag-like member 10 and prevent the shape of the bag-like member 10 from being deformed, and the bag-like member 10 is deformed when the liquid composition is exhausted.
[0105] Since the exterior of the bag-like member 10 includes a flexible water-soluble film 13, the exterior can be deformed according to the amount of the liquid composition included in the bag-like member 10. When the amount of the liquid composition remaining in the bag-like member 10 is sufficient, the exterior of the bag-like member 10 can be maintained due to the volume of the liquid composition. However, when the remaining amount of the liquid composition is small, the exterior may not be maintained. In the case where the shape of the bag-like member 10 cannot be maintained, the liquid composition in the bag-like member 10 may not be released smoothly, and therefore, an undesirable liquid composition may remain in the bag-like member 10. In addition, the water-soluble film 13 can be destroyed by external pressure. The support member 14 can reduce the shape deformation of the bag-like member 10 to prevent the undesirable liquid composition from remaining in the bag-like member 10 and prevent the water-soluble film 13 from being destroyed.
[0106] Reference Figures 5 to 7 , a plurality of supports 14 may be arranged in the bag-like member 10 at intervals from each other. In addition, the supports 14 may extend in the z-axis direction, and both ends of the supports 14 may contact the inner surface of the water-soluble film 13. However, one or more embodiments are not limited thereto, and the shape, arrangement and number of the supports 14 may be changed as long as the shape of the bag-like member 10 can be maintained. For example, the cross-sectional area of one end of the support 14 may be greater than the cross-sectional area of the portion between the two ends of the support 14. As another example, the supports 14 may be arranged to extend in different directions. As another example, a single support 14 may be arranged in the bag-like member 10.
[0107] The bag-shaped member 10 according to the embodiment may be detachably coupled to the heating portion 141 of the vaporizer and replace the function of the liquid storage portion. Figure 8 and Fig. 9 A vaporizer including the bag-like member 10 according to an embodiment is described.
[0108] Figure 8 is connected to Figure 5 A cross-sectional view of a carburetor of a bag-like member 10 is shown.
[0109] Reference Figure 8The vaporizer 140 according to the embodiment includes a bag-shaped member 10 and a heating portion 141. The heating portion is detachably coupled to the bag-shaped member 10, and the heating portion can heat the liquid composition. Figure 1 and Figure 2 The provided description may be equally applicable to the vaporizer according to the embodiment.
[0110] The heating portion 141 may include a liquid delivery element 143 and a heating element 142. The liquid delivery element 143 may deliver the liquid composition of the liquid storage portion to the heating element 142. For example, the liquid delivery element 143 may be a core such as cotton fiber, ceramic fiber, glass fiber or porous ceramic, but is not limited thereto. The liquid delivery element 143 may absorb the liquid composition, and the liquid composition absorbed into the liquid delivery element 143 may move toward the heating element 142.
[0111] The heating element 142 is an element for heating the liquid composition transported by the liquid delivery element 143. For example, the heating element 142 can be a metal heating wire, a metal hot plate, a ceramic heater, etc., but is not limited thereto. In addition, the heating element 142 can include a conductive wire, such as a nickel-chromium alloy wire, and the heating element 142 can be positioned to wrap around the liquid delivery element 143. The heating element 142 can be heated by a current supply device, and heat can be transferred to the liquid composition in contact with the heating element 142, thereby heating the liquid composition. Therefore, an aerosol can be generated.
[0112] The water-soluble film 13 according to the embodiment may include a first connection portion 11 coupled to the heating portion 141. For example, the first coupling portion 11 may be an annular member having elasticity. The surface of the first coupling portion 11 having an annular shape may be attached to the water-soluble film 13 of the bag-like member 10. In this case, a hole smaller than the size of the first coupling portion 11 having an annular shape may be formed in the heating portion 141, and the first coupling portion 11 may be coupled to the heating portion 141 by passing through the hole in the heating portion 141 in a state where the first coupling portion 11 is pressed. Since the water-soluble film 13 has flexibility and elasticity, the water-soluble film 13 may be extended so that the first coupling portion 11 passes through the hole in the heating portion 141.
[0113] However, the method of coupling the first coupling portion 11 to the heating portion 141 is not limited thereto. For example, the first coupling portion 11 may include a rigid member, and the first coupling portion 11 may be coupled to the heating portion 141 according to interference fitting.
[0114] When the first coupling portion 11 is coupled to the heating portion 141, a hole may be formed in the first coupling portion 11. To this end, the heating portion 141 may include a tip portion for forming the hole in the first coupling portion 11. The liquid composition in the bag-like member 10 may be released to the outside of the bag-like member 10 through the hole in the first coupling portion 11. The liquid composition released through the hole formed in the first coupling portion 11 may move toward the heating element 142 through the liquid delivery element 143. Here, when the first coupling portion 11 is coupled to the heating portion 141, the first coupling portion 11 may contact the liquid delivery element 143.
[0115] The heating portion 141 may further include an insulating portion 144 disposed between the bag 10 and the heating element 142. The insulating portion 144 may block at least a portion of the heat transferred from the heating element 142 toward the bag 10. Due to the characteristics of the material of the water-soluble film 13, the water-soluble film 13 of the bag 10 may lack heat resistance, and when the water-soluble film 13 is exposed to excessive heat, the water-soluble film 13 may be damaged. By blocking the heat generated by the heating element 142, the insulating portion 144 may prevent the water-soluble film 13 of the bag 10 from being exposed to excessive heat.
[0116] The insulating portion 144 may surround the heating element 142 to improve insulation. In this case, the liquid delivery element 143 may pass through the insulating portion 144. A hole may be formed in the insulating portion 144 through which the liquid delivery element 143 passes.
[0117] The isolation part 144 may include a plastic material with good insulation performance. For example, the isolation part 144 may include one or more plastic materials selected from the following: polycarbonate (PC), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polysulfone (PSU), liquid crystal polymer (LCP), polyetherimide (PEI), polyethersulfone (PES), polyphenylsulfone (PPS) and polyimide (PI). However, one or more embodiments are not limited thereto, and the isolation part 144 may include any suitable plastics that can block the heat transferred from the heating element 142 toward the bag-shaped member 10.
[0118] The heating portion 141 may include at least one rib 145. The rib 145 may be formed on one side of the heating portion 141 and may extend in a direction from the heating element 142 toward the bag 10. The bag 10 may include a second coupling portion 12 coupled to the rib 145. The rib 145 may fix the position of the bag 10 coupled to the heating portion 141. Since the water-soluble film 13 of the bag 10 has flexibility and elasticity, although the water-soluble film 13 is coupled to the heating portion 141 through the first coupling portion 11, a portion of the water-soluble film 13 relatively away from the first coupling portion 11 may not be fixed. Since the rib 145 is also coupled to the second coupling portion 12 of the bag 10, the position of the bag 10 may be fixed.
[0119] The heating portion 141 may include a plurality of ribs 145, and the bag 10 may include a plurality of second coupling portions 12 to be coupled to the ribs 145. The second coupling portion 12 may include a hole formed in an edge of the bag 10. The ribs 145 of the heating portion 141 may be coupled to the bag 10 by penetrating the holes in the second coupling portion 12. However, the method of coupling the second coupling portion 12 to the ribs 145 is not limited thereto. For example, the second coupling portion 12 may be coupled to the ribs 145 by a Velcro connection method.
[0120] Fig. 9 is a cross-sectional view of a vaporizer according to another embodiment.
[0121] Reference Fig. 9 The vaporizer 140 includes a bag-shaped member 10 and a heating portion 141, which is detachably connected to the bag-shaped member 10 and is capable of heating the liquid composition. Figure 8 The description provided can also be applied to Fig. 9 of the carburetor.
[0122] The vaporizer may further include a pressing portion 147 configured to apply pressure to the bag-like member 10 in a direction toward the heating element 142. The pressing portion 147 may press the bag-like member 10 having flexibility, and thus, the liquid composition in the bag-like member 10 may be completely transferred to the heating element 142 without residue in the bag-like member 10. Fig. 9 An example is shown in which the pressing portion 147 presses the bag 10 by using an elastic material, but one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. As another example, the pressing portion 147 may be an electrically operated pressing member.
[0123] When the vaporizer includes the pressing portion 147, a support member may not be included in the bag 10. Since the liquid composition can be completely transferred to the heating element 142 by the pressing portion 147, the necessity of a support member for assisting the transfer of the liquid composition by maintaining the shape of the bag 10 is reduced.
[0124] The vaporizer may include a cover 146. Here, the pressing portion 147 may be disposed on the inner surface of the cover 146. After the bag 10 is coupled to the heating portion 141, the cover 146 may separate the bag 10 from the outside. Therefore, the water-soluble film 14 may be prevented from being damaged by external factors. Fig. 9 An example in which the cover 146 operates like a hinged door is shown, but one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. As another example, the cover 146 may operate in a sliding manner.
[0125] According to an embodiment, the vaporizer is detachably connected to the bag 10 including the liquid composition. Therefore, when the liquid composition is completely consumed, the bag 10 can be replaced with a new bag, and the heating part 141 can continue to be used. In addition, the bag 10 includes a water-soluble film 13, and therefore, the bag 10 can be easily and economically discarded by being exposed to water. Since the water-soluble film 13 of the bag 10 is light-weight and relatively easy to deform, the bag 10 can be easily replaced compared to a rigid liquid storage portion, and the bag 10 can accommodate a relatively large amount of liquid composition.
[0126] Fig.10 Shown with Fig. 9 An example of an aerosol generating device 100 coupled to a vaporizer 140 .
[0127] Reference Fig.10 , the aerosol generating device 100 includes a battery 110, a controller 120, a heater 130, and a vaporizer 140. In addition, an aerosol generating article 200 (eg, a cigarette) may be inserted into the inner space of the body of the aerosol generating device 100. Figure 1 and Figure 2 The description provided can also be applied to Fig.10 An aerosol generating device 100.
[0128] The vaporizer 140 may be detachably coupled to the body of the aerosol generating device 100. When the aerosol generating article 200 is inserted into the aerosol generating device 100, the aerosol generating device 100 may operate the vaporizer 140 to generate an aerosol from the vaporizer 140. The aerosol generated from the vaporizer 140 may pass through the aerosol generating article 200 inserted into the body of the aerosol generating device 100, thereby being delivered to the user.
[0129] Fig.10 A heater 130 is shown for heating the aerosol-generating article 200 inserted into the body of the aerosol-generating device 100, but the aerosol-generating device 100 may not include a heater. When the aerosol-generating device 100 does not include a heater, the high-temperature aerosol generated by the vaporizer 140 may indirectly heat the aerosol-generating article 200 by passing through the aerosol-generating article 200. In this case, the tobacco rod of the aerosol-generating article 200 may include a plurality of tobacco particles.
[0130] Tobacco particles can be manufactured by wet-extruding a mixture of tobacco material, pH regulator and solvent. The diameter of tobacco particles can be in the scope of about 0.5mm to about 1.5mm. Tobacco material can be, for example, tobacco leaf, tobacco leaf vein, expanded tobacco, raw cut tobacco shreds, tobacco sheet shreds, reconstituted tobacco and combinations thereof.
[0131] Due to the pH adjusting agent, tobacco particles can have an alkaline pH. For example, the pH level of tobacco particles can be in the range of about 7.0 to about 9.0. A portion of the nicotine in the tobacco material can be changed from nicotine salts to free-base nicotine. Compared with nicotine salts, free-base nicotine can have a relatively low boiling point and high volatility. Therefore, tobacco particles can generate nicotine vapor under heating conditions with lower temperatures.
[0132] The pH adjusting agent may include one or more of the following: alkali metal carbonates, alkaline earth metal carbonates, alkali metal bicarbonates, alkaline earth metal bicarbonates, alkali metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, alkali metal phosphates, alkaline earth metal phosphates, alkali metal phosphate monohydrates, and alkaline earth metal phosphate monohydrates. For example, the pH adjusting agent may include one or more of sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, calcium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, and calcium oxide.
[0133] Tobacco particles can also include a binder. This binder can bind tobacco material, pH regulator and solvent together. The binder can be, for example, hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).
[0134] The tobacco particles may further include an aerosol-generating substance. Here, the aerosol-generating substance may include, for example, at least one of glycerol, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol and oleyl alcohol.
[0135] Tobacco particles can be formed in the cavity surrounded by the packaging member, but is not limited thereto. For example, tobacco particles can be embedded between the filter material. The filter material can include the fiber bundles that the cellulose acetate fiber filaments are gathered. Tobacco particles can be evenly distributed between the cellulose acetate fibers.
[0136] As another example, the filter material may include a paper sheet. When rolled, the paper sheet may be located within the tobacco rod. The central axis of the rolled paper sheet may be parallel to the longitudinal direction of the aerosol-generating article 200. The tobacco particles may be evenly distributed in the rolled paper sheet.
[0137] Fig.11 is a block diagram of an aerosol generating device 1100 according to another embodiment.
[0138] The aerosol generating device 1100 may include a controller 1110, a sensing unit 1120, an output unit 1130, a battery 1140, a heater 1150, a user input unit 1160, a memory 1170, and a communication unit 1180. However, the internal structure of the aerosol generating device 1100 is not limited to Fig.11 That is, according to the design of the aerosol generating device 1100, a person skilled in the art will understand that the aerosol generating device 1100 may be omitted. Fig.11 Some of the components shown in the figure may be modified or new components may be added.
[0139] The sensing unit 1120 can sense the state of the aerosol generating device 1100 or the state around the aerosol generating device 1100, and transmit the sensed information to the controller 1110. Based on the sensed information, the controller 1110 can control the aerosol generating device 1100 to perform various functions, such as controlling the operation of the heater 1150, restricting smoking, determining whether an aerosol generating product (e.g., a cigarette, a cartridge, etc.) is inserted, displaying a notification, etc.
[0140] The sensing unit 1120 may include at least one of a temperature sensor 1122 , an insertion detection sensor 1124 , and a suction sensor 1126 , but is not limited thereto.
[0141] The temperature sensor 1122 can sense the temperature at which the heater 1150 (or the aerosol generating substance) is heated. The aerosol generating device 1100 may include a separate temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the heater 1150, or the heater 1150 may be used as a temperature sensor. Alternatively, the temperature sensor 1122 may also be arranged around the battery 1140 to monitor the temperature of the battery 1140.
[0142] The insertion detection sensor 1124 may sense the insertion and / or removal of the aerosol generating article. For example, the insertion detection sensor 1124 may include at least one of a film sensor, a pressure sensor, an optical sensor, a resistance sensor, a capacitance sensor, an inductance sensor, and an infrared sensor, and the insertion detection sensor 1124 may sense a signal change according to the insertion and / or removal of the aerosol generating article.
[0143] Suction sensor 1126 can sense the user's suction based on various physical changes in the airflow channel or airflow path. For example, suction sensor 1126 can sense the user's suction based on any one of temperature change, flow change, voltage change and pressure change.
[0144] The sensing unit 1120 may further include at least one of a temperature / humidity sensor, an atmospheric pressure sensor, a magnetic sensor, an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope sensor, a position sensor (e.g., a global positioning system (GPS)), a proximity sensor, and a red, green, and blue (RGB) sensor (illuminance sensor), in addition to the above-mentioned temperature sensor 1122, the insertion detection sensor 1124, and the suction sensor 1126. Since a person of ordinary skill in the art can intuitively infer the function of each of the sensors from the name of the sensor, a detailed description of these sensors may be omitted.
[0145] The output unit 1130 may output information about the state of the aerosol generating device 1100 and provide the information to the user. The output unit 1130 may include at least one of a display unit 1132, a tactile unit 1134, and a sound output unit 1136, but is not limited thereto. When the display unit 1132 and the touch pad form a layered structure to form a touch screen, the display unit 1132 may be used as an input device in addition to being used as an output device.
[0146] The display unit 1132 may provide the user with information about the aerosol generating device 1100 in a visual manner. For example, the information about the aerosol generating device 1100 may refer to various information, such as the charging / discharging state of the battery 1140 of the aerosol generating device 1100, the preheating state of the heater 1150, the insertion / removal state of the aerosol generating article, or the state in which the use of the aerosol generating device 1100 is restricted (e.g., sensing an abnormal object), etc., and the display unit 1132 may output the information to the outside. The display unit 1132 may be, for example, a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display panel, etc. In addition, the display unit 1132 may be in the form of a light emitting diode (LED) device.
[0147] The haptic unit 1134 may provide the user with information about the aerosol generating device 1100 in a tactile manner by converting an electrical signal into a mechanical stimulation or an electrical stimulation. For example, the haptic unit 1134 may include a motor, a piezoelectric element, or an electrical stimulation device.
[0148] The sound output unit 1136 may provide the user with information about the aerosol generating device 1100 in an auditory manner. For example, the sound output unit 1136 may convert an electrical signal into a sound signal and output the sound signal to the outside.
[0149] The battery 1140 may supply power for operating the aerosol generating device 1100. The battery 1140 may supply power so that the heater 1150 may be heated. In addition, the battery 1140 may supply power required for operating other components (e.g., the sensing unit 1120, the output unit 1130, the user input unit 1160, the memory 1170, and the communication unit 1180) in the aerosol generating device 1100. The battery 1140 may be a rechargeable battery or a disposable battery. For example, the battery 1140 may be a lithium polymer (LiPoly) battery, but is not limited thereto.
[0150] The heater 1150 may receive power from the battery 1140 to heat the aerosol generating material. Fig.11 , the aerosol generating device 1100 may further include a power conversion circuit (e.g., a direct current (DC) / DC converter) that converts the power of the battery 1140 and supplies the converted power to the heater 1150. In addition, when the aerosol generating device 1100 generates aerosol by an induction heating method, the aerosol generating device 1100 may further include a DC / alternating current (AC) that converts the DC power of the battery 1140 into AC power.
[0151] The controller 1110, the sensing unit 1120, the output unit 1130, the user input unit 1160, the memory 1170, and the communication unit 1180 may each receive power from the battery 1140 to perform functions. Fig.11 Although shown in FIG. 1 , the aerosol generating device 1100 may further include a power conversion circuit that converts the power of the battery 1140 to supply power to various components. The power conversion circuit is, for example, a low dropout (LDO) circuit or a voltage regulator circuit.
[0152] In one embodiment, the heater 1150 may be formed of any suitable resistive material. For example, a suitable resistive material may be a metal or metal alloy, including, but not limited to, titanium, zirconium, tantalum, platinum, nickel, cobalt, chromium, hafnium, niobium, molybdenum, tungsten, tin, gallium, manganese, iron, copper, stainless steel, nickel-chromium alloy, etc. In addition, the heater 1150 may be implemented by a metal wire, a metal plate with a conductive trace arranged thereon, a ceramic heating element, etc., but not limited thereto.
[0153] In another embodiment, the heater 1150 may be an induction heating type heater. For example, the heater 1150 may include an induction heating element that heats the aerosol generating substance by generating heat with the help of a magnetic field applied by a coil.
[0154] The user input unit 1160 may receive information input from the user or may output information to the user. For example, the user input unit 1160 may include a keyboard, a dome switch, a touch pad (e.g., a contact capacitance method, a pressure resistance film method, an infrared sensing method, a surface ultrasonic conduction method, an integrated tension measurement method, a piezoelectric effect method, etc.), a roller, a roller switch, etc., but is not limited thereto. In addition, although not described in Fig.11 As shown in the figure, the aerosol generating device 1100 may also include a connection interface, such as a universal serial bus (USB) interface, and the aerosol generating device 1100 may be connected to other external devices via a connection interface such as a USB interface to send and receive information or charge the battery 1140.
[0155] The memory 1170 is a hardware component for storing various types of data processed by the aerosol generating device 1100, and can store data processed by the controller 1110 and data to be processed. The memory 1170 may include at least one type of storage medium among a flash memory, a hard disk memory, a multimedia card micro memory, a card-type memory (e.g., a secure digital (SD) or extreme digital (XD) memory, etc.), a random access memory (RAM), a static random access memory (SRAM), a read-only memory (ROM), an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM), a programmable read-only memory (PROM), a magnetic memory, a magnetic disk, and an optical disk. The memory 1170 can store the operation time of the aerosol generating device 1100, the maximum number of puffs, the current number of puffs, at least one temperature curve, data on the smoking pattern of the user, and the like.
[0156] The communication unit 1180 may include at least one component for communicating with another electronic device. For example, the communication unit 1180 may include a short-range wireless communication unit 1182 and a wireless communication unit 1184.
[0157] The short-range wireless communication unit 1182 may include a Bluetooth communication unit, a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) communication unit, a near field communication unit, a wireless LAN (WLAN) (Wi-Fi) communication unit, a Zigbee communication unit, an infrared data protocol (IrDA) communication unit, a Wi-Fi Direct (WFD) communication unit, an ultra-wideband (UWB) communication unit, an Ant+ communication unit, etc., but is not limited to these.
[0158] The wireless communication unit 1184 may include, but is not limited to, a cellular network communication unit, an Internet communication unit, a computer network (e.g., a local area network (LAN) or a wide area network (WAN)) communication unit, etc. The wireless communication unit 1184 may also identify and authenticate the aerosol generating device 1100 within the communication network by using subscriber information (e.g., an International Mobile Subscriber Identifier (IMSI)).
[0159] The controller 1110 may control the overall operation of the aerosol generating device 1100. In an embodiment, the controller 1110 may include at least one processor. The processor may be implemented as an array of multiple logic gates, or may be implemented as a combination of a general-purpose microprocessor and a memory storing a program that can be executed in the microprocessor. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the processor may be implemented in other forms of hardware.
[0160] The controller 1110 may control the temperature of the heater 1150 by controlling the power supply from the battery 1140 to the heater 1150. For example, the controller 1110 may control the power supply by controlling the switching of the switching element between the battery 1140 and the heater 1150. In another example, the direct heating circuit may also control the power supply to the heater 1150 according to the control command of the controller 1110.
[0161] The controller 1110 may analyze the result sensed by the sensing unit 1120 and control the subsequent process to be performed. For example, the controller 1110 may control the power supplied to the heater 1150 based on the result sensed by the sensing unit 1120 to start or end the operation of the heater 1150. As another example, the controller 1110 may control the amount of power supplied to the heater 1150 and the time when the power is supplied based on the result sensed by the sensing unit 1120, so that the heater 1150 can be heated to a certain temperature or maintained at an appropriate temperature.
[0162] The controller 1110 may control the output unit 1130 based on the result sensed by the sensing unit 1120.
