[0016] Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present application will be explained in detail based on the drawings.
[0017] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view schematically showing the puncture repair kit 1 of the present embodiment. As Figure 1 indicated, the puncture repair kit 1 is, for example, adapted to fill a punctured tire or the like object T with a puncture repair liquid R and compressed air A.
[0018] The puncture repair kit 1 of the present embodiment includes a container 2 that houses the puncture repair liquid R and a compressed air source 3 that supplies the compressed air A. The container 2 has, for example, a mouth portion 2a for housing the puncture repair liquid R inside the container 2. The container 2 preferably houses the puncture repair liquid R inside the container 2 from the mouth portion 2a. The mouth portion 2a of the present embodiment has a film (omitted from the drawing) for airtightly retaining the housed puncture repair liquid R. Such a container 2 is suitable for long-term storage of the puncture repair liquid R.
[0019] The compressed air source 3 is, for example, a compressor. The compressed air source 3 generates the compressed air A, for example, by being supplied with power through an electric wire (omitted from the drawing) connected to an external power source. Such a compressed air source 3 is capable of supplying a large amount of compressed air A in a small size, and is excellent in storability when not in use.
[0020] The puncture repair kit 1 of the present embodiment includes a mixing device 4 installed to the container 2 and used to generate a mixture of the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A. The mixing device 4 of the present embodiment includes a mixing chamber 5 used to generate a mixture of the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A. The mixing chamber 5 is, for example, a space surrounded by a top surface 5a located above at the time of puncture repair, a bottom surface 5b located below, and inner and outer surfaces 5c and 5d connecting the top surface 5a and the bottom surface 5b. Such a mixing device 4 is able to uniformly mix the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A in a large space.
[0021] The mixing device 4 of the present embodiment includes a first inlet flow path 6 connected to the compressed air source 3, and a second inlet flow path 7 used to supply the puncture repair liquid R from the container 2 to the mixing chamber 5. The first inlet flow path 6 of the present embodiment includes a first opening portion 6a used to supply the compressed air A toward the container 2.
[0022] Such a mixing device 4 is able to raise the internal pressure in the container 2 using the compressed air A supplied to the container 2, and is able to smoothly supply the puncture repair liquid R from the second inlet flow path 7 using the internal pressure even in the case where the viscosity of the puncture repair liquid R is high. In addition, with such a mixing device 4, since the supply speed of the puncture repair liquid R is fast, the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A are not aerosolized, and it is possible to uniformly mix them in the mixing chamber 5. Here, the mixture that is not aerosolized is a mixture in which the particle diameter of the puncture repair liquid R exceeds 500 μm.
[0023] Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view schematically showing a puncture repair kit 1 of another embodiment. As shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2 , the first inlet flow path 6 of the present embodiment includes a second opening portion 6b used to supply the compressed air A toward at least one of the mixing chamber 5 and the second inlet flow path 7. In Figure 1 , the second opening portion 6b used to supply the compressed air A toward the mixing chamber 5 is exemplified. In Figure 2 , the second opening portion 6b used to supply the compressed air A toward the second inlet flow path 7 is exemplified. Such a mixing device 4 is able to supply the compressed air A to the inside of at least one of the mixing chamber 5 and the second inlet flow path 7 without obstructing the flow of the puncture repair liquid R in the second inlet flow path 7, and is thus able to efficiently mix the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A.
[0024] The mixing device 4 of the present embodiment includes an outlet flow path 8 used to discharge the mixture of the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A from the mixing chamber 5. Such a mixing device 4 is able to efficiently discharge the mixture of the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A. Therefore, the puncture repair kit 1 of the present embodiment is able to efficiently repair the puncture of the object T.
[0025] As a more preferable mode, the viscosity of the puncture repair liquid R at 25°C is 100 mPa-s or less. Such a puncture repair liquid R is smoothly supplied from the second inlet flow path 7 to the mixing chamber 5 at normal temperature environments, and can be mixed with the compressed air A efficiently.
[0026] Here, in the present specification, the viscosity of the puncture repair liquid R is a value measured under the conditions that the spindle is LV-4 and the rotation speed is 10 rpm using a B-type viscometer according to the provisions of JIS K7117-1: 1999.
[0027] The viscosity of the puncture repair liquid R at -30°C is preferably 400 mPa-s or less. Such a puncture repair liquid R is supplied from the second inlet flow path 7 to the mixing chamber 5 with the aid of the compressed air A supplied from the first opening portion 6a, and is mixed with the compressed air A when used at low temperature environments, and thus can be discharged to the punctured object T.
[0028] The puncture repair liquid R preferably contains at least a glycol. As the glycol, for example, ethylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol, propylene glycol, or the like can be cited. Such a puncture repair liquid R is suitable for efficiently repairing the punctured portion even when a small amount of the mixture is injected to the punctured object T.
[0029] The mixing chamber 5 is formed by combining, for example, a first member 5A and a second member 5B. The first member 5A is connected to the outlet flow path 8, for example, and the first inlet flow path 6 is passed therethrough. The second member 5B is connected to the first inlet flow path 6, for example, and is formed with the first opening portion 6a and the second inlet flow path 7. Such a mixing chamber 5 can simplify the manufacturing process, and is helpful in suppressing the manufacturing cost. Furthermore, the mixing chamber 5 is not limited to such a form, and can be integrally formed, for example.
[0030] The first member 5A is preferably formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape. The first member 5A of the present embodiment constitutes the bottom surface 5b of the mixing chamber 5. Such a mixing chamber 5 can secure a stable space with a simple structure, and is helpful in reducing the manufacturing cost.
[0031] The first member 5A has a mounting portion 5e mounted to the mouth portion 2a of the container 2, for example. The mounting portion 5e of the present embodiment is used while being threadedly combined with the mouth portion 2a at the time of puncture repair. Such a mixing device 4 is easy to mount to the container 2, and can suppress detachment from the container 2 even when the pressure of the compressed air A acts.
[0032] The second member 5B is preferably formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape. The second member 5B is located inside the first member 5A, for example. Thus, the second member 5B of the present embodiment constitutes the top surface 5a and the outer surface 5d of the mixing chamber 5. Such a mixing chamber 5 can secure a stable space with a simple structure, and is helpful in reducing the manufacturing cost.
[0033] The first member 5A and the second member 5B are integrally combined, for example, by a locking mechanism (omitted from the drawing). For such a mixing chamber 5, the first member 5A and the second member 5B do not disintegrate due to the pressure of the compressed air A, and the stability at the time of use can be improved. Further, the first member 5A and the second member 5B are not limited to such a combination method, and can be, for example, threadably combined, and can also be press-fit combined.
[0034] The outer diameter of the second member 5B is preferably larger than the inner diameter of the mouth portion 2a of the container 2. Such a second member 5B can be positioned by contact with the mouth portion 2a, and thus there is no concern that the first member 5A will be detached at the time when the pressure of the compressed air A acts.
[0035] Figure 3 is Figure 1 a plan view of the mixing chamber 5. As shown in Figures 1-3 , the second member 5B is provided with at least one breaking portion 9, in this embodiment four breaking portions 9, on the side opposite the mixing chamber 5 from the top surface 5a constituting the mixing chamber 5, and the breaking portion 9 is for breaking a film (omitted from the drawing) provided to the mouth portion 2a of the container 2. The at least one breaking portion 9 is preferably provided between the first opening portion 6a and the second inlet flow path 7. The breaking portion 9 of this embodiment is provided around the first opening portion 6a. Such a mixing device 4, by being mounted to the container 2, can break the film of the container 2 and supply the puncture repair liquid R to the mixing chamber 5, and can smoothly perform mixing with the compressed air A in the mixing chamber 5.
[0036] The first inlet flow path 6 preferably includes a horizontal portion 6c extending in the horizontal direction in the use state at the time of puncture repair, and a vertical portion 6d extending in the vertical direction. Here, the horizontal portion 6c extending in the horizontal direction is a portion that passes the compressed air A in parallel with a support surface such as the ground on which the puncture repair kit 1 is supported in the use state. Further, the vertical portion 6d extending in the vertical direction is a portion that passes the compressed air A in a direction orthogonal to the horizontal portion 6c.
[0037] The vertical portion 6d, for example, has a ball valve 10 for preventing the puncture repair liquid R from flowing back to the compressed air source 3. In Figure 1 , the ball valve 10 is shown in a state in which the compressed air A is being supplied. Further, in Figure 1 , the ball valve 10 is shown in a state in which the supply of the compressed air A is stopped, with a double dotted line. Even if the puncture repair liquid R remains inside the container 2 at the time when the supply of the compressed air A from the compressed air source 3 is stopped, such a first inlet flow path 6 can suppress the puncture repair liquid R from flowing back to the compressed air source 3, and prevent damage to the compressed air source 3.
[0038] The mixing chamber 5 is preferably formed around the vertical portion 6d of the first inlet flow path 6. The mixing chamber 5 is formed around the ball valve 10, for example. The vertical portion 6d of the first inlet flow path 6 of the present embodiment constitutes the inner face 5c of the mixing chamber 5. Such a mixing chamber 5 can secure a large space, and can mix the puncture repair liquid R and the compressed air A efficiently and uniformly. In addition, the mixing chamber 5 of the present embodiment can also easily perform assembly of the ball valve 10 because it is composed of the first member 5A and the second member 5B.
[0039] The second inlet flow path 7 extends along the vertical portion 6d of the first inlet flow path 6, for example. Such a second inlet flow path 7 can smoothly supply the puncture repair liquid R to the mixing chamber 5 using the compressed air A supplied from the vertical portion 6d and gravity.
[0040] Figure 4 is a perspective view schematically showing Figure 1 the first inlet flow path 6. As shown in Figures 1-4 , the first opening portion 6a of the present embodiment is formed at the upper end of the vertical portion 6d in the use state. Such a first opening portion 6a can efficiently supply the compressed air A to the inside of the container 2.
[0041] The first opening portion 6a includes at least one circular opening portion, and includes one circular opening portion in the present embodiment. Such a first opening portion 6a is easy to process, and contributes to efficient supply of the compressed air A to the inside of the container 2. The first opening portion 6a is not limited to such a form, and can include a plurality of opening portions, and can also include a slit-like opening portion, a polygonal opening portion, for example.
[0042] The opening area S1 of the first opening portion 6a is preferably 1 mm 2 or more. By making the opening area S1 of the first opening portion 6a 1 mm 2 or more, it is possible to secure a sufficient amount of the compressed air A supplied to the container 2, and to reliably supply the puncture repair liquid R even in a low-temperature environment. From such a viewpoint, the opening area S1 of the first opening portion 6a is more preferably 5 mm 2 or more, and is further preferably 15 mm 2 or more.
[0043] Here, the opening area S1 of the first opening portion 6a is the area at the upper end face of the second member 5B, and is calculated as the total area when a plurality of opening portions are included.
[0044] The opening area S1 of the first opening portion 6a is preferably 700 mm 2 or more. By making the opening area S1 of the first opening portion 6a 700 mm 2The following method ensures that the flow rate of compressed air A supplied to container 2 can be maintained above a certain level, allowing compressed air A to be supplied to the inside of container 2 even in low-temperature environments. From this perspective, the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a is more preferably 200 mm². 2 Hereinafter, 40mm is further preferred. 2 the following.
[0045] Therefore, the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a is preferably 1 to 700 mm. 2 More preferably 5–200 mm 2 More preferably 15–40 mm 2 Furthermore, the combination of the upper and lower limits of these numerical ranges can be chosen arbitrarily.
[0046] In this embodiment, the second opening 6b is formed on the side of the vertical portion 6d. Such a second opening 6b enables the efficient supply of compressed air A to the interior of at least one of the mixing chamber 5 formed around the vertical portion 6d and the second inlet flow path 7 extending along the vertical portion 6d.
[0047] The second opening 6b includes at least one circular opening, and in this embodiment, it includes one circular opening. Such a second opening 6b is easy to manufacture and facilitates the efficient supply of compressed air A to the interior of at least one of the mixing chamber 5 and the second inlet flow path 7. The second opening 6b is not limited to this form; for example, it may also include multiple openings.
[0048] The opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is preferably 0.1 mm. 2 The above is achieved by setting the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b to 0.1 mm. 2 The above ensures that the compressed air A is reliably supplied directly to at least one of the mixing chamber 5 and the second inlet flow path 7, which contributes to uniform mixing in the mixing chamber 5. From this point of view, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is more preferably 1 mm. 2 The above is further preferred to be 2mm. 2 above.
[0049] Here, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is the area at the outer peripheral surface of the vertical portion 6d or the end face on the side of the second inlet flow path 7, and is calculated as their total area when multiple openings are included.
[0050] The opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is preferably 700 mm². 2 The following is achieved by setting the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b to 700 mm². 2The following ensures that a sufficient amount of compressed air A is supplied to container 2, allowing for reliable supply of the perforation repair fluid R even at low temperatures. From this perspective, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is more preferably 200 mm². 2 Hereinafter, 11mm is further preferred. 2 the following.
[0051] Therefore, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is preferably 0.1 to 700 mm². 2 More preferably 1–200 mm 2 More preferably 2-11mm 2 Furthermore, the combination of the upper and lower limits of these numerical ranges can be chosen arbitrarily.
[0052] The opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is preferably 1% or more of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a. By making the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b at 1% or more of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a, it is possible to reliably ensure that the compressed air A directly supplied to at least one of the mixing chamber 5 and the second inlet flow path 7 contributes to uniform mixing in the mixing chamber 5. From this point of view, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is more preferably 5% or more of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a, and even more preferably 10% or more.
[0053] The opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is preferably 500% or less of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a. By making the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b less than 500% of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a, a sufficient amount of compressed air A can be supplied to the container 2, and the perforation repair fluid R can be reliably supplied even in low-temperature environments. From this point of view, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is more preferably 200% or less of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a, and even more preferably 50% or less.
[0054] Therefore, the opening area S2 of the second opening 6b is preferably 1% to 500% of the opening area S1 of the first opening 6a, more preferably 5% to 200%, and even more preferably 10% to 50%. Furthermore, any combination of the upper and lower limits of these numerical ranges can be arbitrarily selected.
[0055] Figure 5 This is a perspective view showing the second embodiment of the first inlet flow path 6. (As shown) Figure 5 As shown, the second opening 6b of the first inlet flow path 6 may, for example, include a polygonal opening. In the second embodiment, the second opening 6b includes a rectangular opening. Such a second opening 6b can adopt a shape corresponding to the shape and size of the mixing chamber 5, which helps to achieve uniform mixing in the mixing chamber 5.
[0056] Figure 6 This is a perspective view showing a third embodiment of the first inlet flow path 6. (See diagram below.) Figure 6 As shown, the second opening 6b of the first inlet flow path 6 can, for example, communicate with the first opening 6a. In this case, the opening area of the opening is... Figure 6 The imaginary outer end indicated by the double-dotted line is the boundary, determined based on the position of the opening. This second opening 6b is suitable for supplying a large amount of compressed air A to the mixing chamber 5, contributing to uniform mixing within the mixing chamber 5. Furthermore, the first inlet flow path 6 of the third embodiment can, for example, be connected to... Figure 2 The second component 5B is assembled to form Figure 2 The second opening 6b.
[0057] like Figures 1-3 As shown, the second inlet flow path 7 of this embodiment includes a second inlet opening 7a that opens into the mixing chamber 5. The second inlet opening 7a includes at least one slit-shaped opening, and in this embodiment, it includes three slit-shaped openings. Such a second inlet opening 7a, by restricting the perforation repair fluid R supplied to the mixing chamber 5, can promote uniform mixing in the mixing chamber 5, and can reliably supply the perforation repair fluid R even at low temperatures. The second inlet opening 7a is not limited to this shape; for example, it can also be a circular opening, a rectangular opening, or an elongated opening.
[0058] The second inlet opening 7a and the second opening 6b are preferably formed on the same side of the vertical portion 6d when viewed from above. Such a mixing device 4 can promote uniform mixing in the mixing chamber 5 and inhibit the partial solidification of the perforation repair fluid R inside the outlet flow path 8.
[0059] The outlet flow path 8 of this embodiment includes an outlet opening 8a that opens into the mixing chamber 5. The outlet opening 8a and the second opening 6b are preferably formed on opposite sides, separated by a vertical portion 6d, when viewed from above. Such an outlet opening 8a helps promote uniform mixing in the mixing chamber 5 and inhibits partial solidification of the perforation repair fluid R inside the outlet flow path 8.
[0060] While the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be implemented in various forms.
