Highly stable quantum dot composite and method of making same

By preparing Ag-In-Zn-S quantum dot microspheres blended with polydimethylsiloxane and silica, a porous structure was constructed to isolate environmental interference, thus solving the stability problem of non-toxic quantum dots in harsh environments and realizing a highly stable and greenly prepared quantum dot composite material.

Abstract

The application relates to the technical field of quantum dot materials, in particular to a high-stability quantum dot composite material and a preparation method thereof. Quantum dot microspheres are formed by coating Ag-In-Zn-S quantum dots with silica to form core-shell structure microspheres, then the quantum dot microspheres, polydimethylsiloxane and silica are blended in ethyl acetate, uniform fluorescent suspension is formed through ultrasonic stirring, then the fluorescent suspension is sprayed onto the surface of a substrate, and the composite material is obtained through drying. The green I-III-VI multi-component quantum dot microspheres are used as the light-emitting substance, the excellent light-emitting stability is realized by combining the microspherization with the hierarchical porous structure constructed on the surface of the substrate. The spraying process is simple in equipment, low in cost and green in environment protection. The obtained composite material not only has good light-emitting characteristics, but also effectively isolates water vapor, chemical corrosion and other harsh environments through the multi-scale hierarchical porous structure formed on the substrate, thereby excellent thermal stability, chemical stability and weather resistance are exhibited.
