Abstract
This invention relates to an insulating plate structure for an AEM electrolyzer, belonging to the field of hydrogen production technology. Based on the optimization requirements of fluid distribution, gas collection, and sealing performance, this invention designs multi-regional symmetrical water-oxygen distribution zones with precise parameters on the top surface of a cuboid insulating plate, sets a hydrogen collection zone with turbulence-dispersing columns and reinforcing ribs on the bottom surface, and constructs a sealing zone composed of multiple sets of sealing grooves and sealing rings of specific materials. Simultaneously, 40% glass fiber reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is selected as the substrate. This achieves uniform distribution of the reaction medium, efficient collection and separation of hydrogen, and overall sealing reliability and structural stability of the electrolyzer under a high-pressure operating condition of 1.6 MPa, providing crucial structural support for the high-performance operation of the AEM electrolyzer.
