[0001] The invention relates to a side airbag for a vehicle occupant restraint system of a motor vehicle according to claim 1.
[0002] Side airbags are known from the prior art which, after unfolding, extend along a vehicle side structure and serve in particular to protect the head of one or more vehicle occupants. For example, DE 199 56 710 A1 discloses such a side airbag (“curtain airbag”).
