Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a headlamp, e.g., a headlight, for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a headlamp for a vehicle capable of improving a luminous image of the headlamp radiated onto a road surface.
[0002] Generally, a headlight for a vehicle consists of a projection unit installed in a housing inside the vehicle and an outer lens coupled to an outer side of the projection unit.
[0003] The projection unit consists of a reflector with a light bulb installed on it and an aspherical lens positioned in front of the reflector to emit light. Recently, from a marketing perspective, the automotive market has become increasingly demanding not only high-tech features but also design features to stimulate buyers' sensibilities.
[0004] In this regard, outer lenses with diverse designs have been used in a headlight and such headlight designs have evolved into inherent shapes that can be attributed to specific vehicle manufacturers and therefore play a major role in marketability.
[0005] As described above, the design of the headlight and the design of the taillight have a great influence on the design of the vehicle, and as an example of this, a luminous line or a luminescent line that emits light in a vicinity of the aspherical lens of the headlight can be mentioned.
[0006] The luminous line, or luminescent line, with a luminous color that differs from the luminous color of a standard lamp, forms the boundary of the aspherical lens. Such luminous lines can not only surround the aspherical lens but also be distributed throughout the headlight to reflect the manufacturer's inherent shapes.
[0007] This means that newer headlights not only serve as lighting or luminescent devices, but are also developed from a design perspective.
[0008] In order to implement the luminous line of the headlight in the related art, a luminous line is installed along the periphery of the aspherical lens, and a light emitted from a separate luminous portion is collected, transmitted by a cable or the like, and supplied to the luminous line, so that lighting can be performed around the aspherical lens.
[0009] However, adding a separate light source in the headlight structure for a related type vehicle requires more additional components, so the weight and price of the headlight are increased and the structure of the headlight is complicated.
[0010] From DE 10 2008 045 032 A, a headlight device for a vehicle is known, which comprises a semiconductor light source, a first reflector arranged in front of a light-emitting surface of the semiconductor light source, a second reflector with reflecting surfaces arranged on either side of the semiconductor light source, and a projection lens located in front of the opening at such a position that it does not contact the first reflector, wherein the first projection lens is provided for projecting the light forward passing through the opening of the first reflector into the light emitted by the semiconductor source. Another headlight device is known, for example, from US 2003 / 0174509A1.
[0011] Various aspects of the present invention are directed to providing a headlight for a vehicle that can improve the luminous pattern of the headlight emitted onto a road surface.
[0012] The invention provides a headlight device according to claim 1.
[0013] Preferably, the length of the second reflection hole between the bezel and the lower lens is greater than the length of the first reflection hole between the bezel and the upper lens.
[0014] Preferably, the first auxiliary reflection surface is larger than the second auxiliary reflection surface.
[0015] With the above-described construction according to the present invention, the luminous pattern of the headlamp is changed to improve marketability, and the luminous width of the light of the headlamp radiated onto the road surface is maximized to improve the visibility of the driver and enhance safety.

[0022] A headlight for a vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention as shown in Fig. 1 to Fig. 3, comprises a reflector 100 that reflects a light emitted from a light source 1 by means of a first auxiliary reflection surface 110 and a second auxiliary reflection surface 120, and a bezel 200 that radiates the reflected light outward through a first reflection hole 210 and a second reflection hole 220 and changes a luminous pattern of the headlight by means of the plurality of reflection surfaces.
[0023] Hereinafter, respective constituent parts of a headlight for a vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.
[0024] According to the headlight for a vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the light emitted from the light source 1 is reflected by the reflector 100 and radiated to the outside.
[0025] As in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the light source 1 that emits light is provided in the reflector 100, and the light reflected by the light source 1 is reflected in the forward direction by means of reflecting surfaces (not shown) formed inside the reflector 100.
[0026] In this case, the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 is formed at an upper end of the reflector 100, and the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 is formed at a lower end of the reflector 100. Accordingly, the light emitted from the light source 1 in only one direction is reflected in different directions due to the plurality of reflecting surfaces.
[0027] The enclosure 200 is mounted on the reflector 100 and allows the light emitted by the light source 1 and reflected by the reflector 100 to be emitted outward.
[0028] Here, the first reflection hole 210 corresponding to the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 is formed at the top of the bezel 200, and the second reflection hole 220 corresponding to the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 is formed at the bottom of the bezel 200. Accordingly, the light reflected by the reflector 100 is separated into an upper light and a lower light for irradiation.
[0029] On the other hand, as in Fig. 3, an upper lens 111 is additionally provided on the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 formed in the upper portion of the reflector 100 in order to improve the overall design of the headlamp and the luminous pattern during light emission by the light source 1, and a lower lens 121 is additionally provided on the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 formed in the lower portion of the reflector 100 in order to increase the luminous width of the light irradiated onto the road surface.
[0030] Furthermore, a side lens 201 is additionally provided on the lateral surface of the frame 200 to improve visibility.
[0031] The operation and effect of the headlight according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described below.
[0032] As in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the headlamp for a vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes the reflector 100 that reflects the light emitted from the light source 1 by means of the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 and the second auxiliary reflection surface 120, and the bezel 200 that radiates the reflected light outward by means of the first reflection hole 210 and the second reflection hole 220 of the bezel 200, so that the reflecting directions of the headlamp can be increased.
[0033] On the other hand, the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 and the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 formed on the reflector 100 correspond to the first reflection hole 210 and the second reflection hole 220 formed on the bezel 200, and the light reflected from the light source 1 is radiated in an upper and a lower direction by means of the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 and the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 of the reflector 100 and by means of the first reflection hole 210 and the second reflection hole 220 of the bezel 200, so that the luminous effects of the headlight are improved.
[0034] According to the headlight for a vehicle as in Fig.As shown in FIG. 3, the design of the headlight and the luminous pattern can be improved by emitting light through the upper lens 111 provided on the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 of the reflector 100. Likewise, the width of the light radiated onto the road surface is widened by the lower lens 121 provided on the reflector 100, so that the lower lens 121, together with the side lens 201 provided on the side surface of the bezel 200, can improve the visibility of the driver.
[0035] As described above, the headlight according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: the reflector 100 equipped with the light-emitting light source 1 for reflecting the light emitted from the light source 1 in the forward direction, the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 formed at the upper end of the reflector 100, the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 formed at the lower end of the reflector 100; and a bezel 200 having an upper part on which a first reflection hole 210 corresponding to the first auxiliary reflection surface 110 is formed, and a lower part on which a second reflection hole 220 corresponding to the second auxiliary reflection surface 120 is formed.Accordingly, the headlight pattern is changed to improve marketability, and the width of the headlight beam emitted onto the road surface is maximized to improve driver visibility and increase safety.
