Description

The present invention relates to a holding device for holding a medical device, in particular a drip.Such a holding device is typically used in the medical field and in the care field, e.g. in clinics as well as old and care homes, and serves in particular to hold a drip at a sufficient height close to a person lying in a bed, e.g. a clinic bed, e.g. a patient or care container, so that the infusion or infusion solution located in the drip can be administered intravenously to the person solely under the action of gravity, without additional pressure having to be applied. For this purpose, holding devices in the form of stands which are usually movable are known, which are usually placed next to the bed and have a holding element at their upper end for hanging the drip. A particular disadvantage of these stands is that they are always located in the horizontal field of view of the person lying in the bed and occupy the mostly tight space in clinic or care rooms. In addition, when a patient is moved together with the hospital bed, the hospital bed and the stand must always be moved together.Furthermore, it is known to attach or suspend a drip serving for infusion purposes directly on the bed leg of a (hospital) bed or a hook attached thereto. The support thereof is then generally effected on the substantially horizontally running section of the bed brace, which typically extends from the head side of the bed above the head region of the patient lying in the bed a certain distance in the direction of the bed center. As a result, it is possible to dispense with a stand which is separate from the bed (to be arranged in the field of view of the patient). However, a disadvantage of this type of holding of the drip is that the height difference between the substantially horizontal section of the bed boom and the person lying in the bed is often not sufficient to be able to reliably ensure reliable administration of the infusion to the person solely by means of gravity. The height of the (horizontal end section of the) bed brace above the hospital bed is generally selected or predefined in such a way that, when the bed is displaced, the bed brace does not strike the upper boundary of any door frames within a building (for example a hospital). Moreover, the height of the bed brace is generally also limited in that a person lying in the bed can still easily grasp a grip likewise mounted on the mentioned section of the bed brace.DE 19 50 302 U and DE 68 09 936 U each already disclose an infusion stand which can be mounted on a hospital bed and has a support rod and a fastening device, in which the lower end of the support rod is pivotably attached to the fastening device and can be fixed in different pivoted positions. However, an infusion stand equipped with such a swivel mechanism is comparatively complex to manufacture and, moreover, difficult to clean. Furthermore, a holder for drainage bags is also known from DE 295 14 739 U and a small lift for hospitals, which can be mounted, for example, on a bed brace of a hospital bed, is known from DE 92 10 017 U. It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a bed with bed rails and a novel and as simple as possible configured holding device of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is space-saving and can hold a drip at a sufficient height above a person lying in a (hospital) bed without thereby hindering transport of the (hospital) bed within the building, which transport is required, for example, when a patient is laid. The object is achieved by a bed with bed rolls and a holding device according to claim 1. The dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments of the invention. The holding device for holding a medical device, in particular a drip, used according to the invention comprises a mounting body, a support element and a spacer element extending between the mounting body and the support element. The mounting body is mounted (by suitable design) on a substantially horizontally extending section of a bed brace, while the support element serves to hold the medical device. Furthermore, it is provided according to the invention that the spacer element producing a predefined distance between the mounting body and the support element can, when the mounting body is mounted on the bed boom as intended, that is to say on its section running substantially horizontally above the bed, optionally assume at least a first, substantially vertical orientation and a second, substantially horizontal orientation, wherein the phrase "substantially horizontal" or "substantially vertical" expresses that minor angular deviations of, for example, + / - 10° or + / - 5° from the horizontal or vertical are tolerable. According to the invention, it is provided that the spacer element can be introduced with an end region selectively into one of two different receptacles of the mounting body, wherein the first receptacle ensures the substantially vertical orientation and the second receptacle ensures the substantially horizontal orientation of the spacer element.Although the holding device used according to the invention is also suitable in principle for holding other medical devices, such as an infusion syringe pump (Perfusor®), the advantages of the holding device according to the invention are described below in connection with a drip held thereon, since this should represent the main application of the holding device according to the invention in practical use.As already mentioned, the holding device according to the invention can be mounted on the bed brace of a hospital bed by means of the mounting body, so that conventional hospital beds or bed braces can be retrofitted therewith in a particularly simple manner. In the sense of the invention, however, a bed brace or a bed equipped with a bed brace can also already be equipped at the factory with a holding device according to the invention. The spacer element extending from the mounting body of the inventive holding device to its support element advantageously allows, in its first orientation extending substantially vertically upward from the mounting body, the maintenance of a height difference between the drip held on the support element and the patient lying beneath it in the bed, which difference is sufficient for the reliable administration of an infusion. Incidentally, the drip is not always located in the (horizontal) field of view of the patient, which also brings about psychological advantages for the patient. In the second, substantially horizontal orientation, into which the spacer element can be brought, for example during transport of the bed or when the holding device is not in use, the spacer element advantageously extends substantially parallel to the (substantially) horizontal section of the bed rail and close thereto, so that the holding device then no longer constitutes, in particular, an obstacle which protrudes substantially upward from the bed rail during transport of the bed (for example through doors or in chairs). The mounting body, which can be made of a heat-resistant hard plastic, for example, is preferably detachably mounted on the horizontal section of the bed brace of a hospital bed, but can optionally also be left permanently thereon if necessary. The mounting body, which for mounting purposes advantageously has a through-opening for the horizontally running section of the bed brace and can be designed in particular as a cylindrical annular body, is advantageously designed in multiple parts, in particular in two parts, wherein the at least two parts forming the mounting body should then be able to be fastened to the relevant section of the bed brace or be able to be braced with one another with clamping on the bed brace by means of suitable fastening means, e.g. screws. Of course, the diameter of the through-opening of the mounting body is advantageously adapted to the diameter of the horizontal section of the bed boom, wherein the mounting body can also be mounted in a particularly preferred manner on bed boom sections with different diameters. A one-piece construction of the mounting body, which can then be slid onto the section of the bed brace having a free end, is also possible in principle, wherein here too a suitable mechanism should be provided for positionally right and rotationally secure fixing or clamping of the mounting body to the relevant section of the bed brace. The spacer element of the holding device according to the invention, with which a (vertical) distance of at least 20 or 30 cm is advantageously produced between the mounting body and the holding element, is preferably designed as an elongate body, e.g. as a simple rod, on which further medical devices, such as a nutritional pump or the like, can optionally be mounted if required. The support element, which can likewise be rod-shaped, advantageously has at least one free end with a suspension device, which is designed, for example, as a hook or runs in a spiral shape and on which the drip can be suspended in a suitable manner. In this case, it is particularly advantageous in the sense of a first preferred development of the present invention if the supporting element has two limbs which extend to different sides of the spacer element and transversely or perpendicularly thereto and at the ends of which a suspension device for a drip is provided or formed in each case. If, in fact, an infusion into a vein of the left arm is to be administered to the patient, the drip can then be fastened to the end of the support element facing the left-hand edge of the bed (as viewed from the patient). The other (right) end of the support element can then be used (alternatively or simultaneously) for suspending a drip for an infusion to be administered into the right patient arm.For this purpose, the support element can be designed, for example, in the form of a rod with two free ends (and suspension devices for the drip provided on the end side thereof) and be fastened, for example welded thereto, approximately in the middle-with an orientation running transversely or perpendicular to the spacer element-at the end of the spacer element remote from the mounting body.Particularly preferably, the support element and the spacer element consist of stainless steel, which is particularly expedient with regard to the sterility required in hospitals. However, the support element and the spacer element can in principle also be configured in one piece with one another. The present invention provides that the spacer element can be (releasably) selectively connected to the mounting body in the first or second orientation. For this purpose, it is provided that the spacer element can be selectively inserted (e.g. inserted) with an end region (facing the mounting body) into one of two different receptacles of the mounting body, wherein the first receptacle ensures the substantially vertical orientation and the second receptacle ensures the substantially horizontal orientation of the spacer element. These receptacles can be in particular two bores oriented relative to one another by an angle of 90° through an otherwise (substantially) solid section of the mounting body, into which the end section of the spacer element facing away from the support element can be inserted in order to connect the spacer element (together with the support element fastened thereto) to the mounting body in the desired orientation. It is advantageous if the plug connection produced in this case is clamped between the mounting body and the spacer element (e.g. by the force of gravity acting on the holding device) or if, for example, a latching, locking and / or screw mechanism is provided, with which a stable connection can be produced between the mounting body mounted fixedly on the bed pole and the spacer element inserted therein (together with the supporting element connected thereto). This embodiment of the holding device according to the invention, having a spacer element (for example, with the production of a plug connection) which can be (releasably) connected to the mounting body in two different orientations, allows a particularly simple and cost-effective construction of the holding device and is furthermore distinguished by a particularly comfortable usability. This is because if it is foreseeable that the holding device will not be required at all for a certain period of time, then for example the mounting body mounted on the bed boom and little disturbing there can remain on the latter, while the remaining part of the holding device (by releasing the connection between the mounting body and the spacer element) is removed and stored at a suitable location until it is required again. The spacer element has a preferred length between 30 and 60 cm in order to achieve a sufficient height for a drip held on the support element of the holding device, whereby in the case of conventional hospital beds with bed booms, a height of the drip sufficient for reliable administration of the infusion to a person lying in the bed can be ensured.According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the spacer element has a telescopic mechanism for adjusting its length. As a result, the height difference between a drip held on the holding device and the patient can be optimally adjusted in a particularly simple manner. In particular, the situation can thus be taken into account that hospital beds of different manufacturers or the bed booms mounted thereon can certainly also have different heights or height differences.Furthermore, it can advantageously be provided that the mounting body comprises a quick-action clamping mechanism for its attachment to the bed boom, which mechanism can be detached and locked particularly preferably without the use of tools, whereby the entire holding device can be mounted particularly easily on the bed boom of a hospital bed and can be dismounted from the same again. Finally, it can be advantageously provided within the scope of the present invention that the support element has at least one spiral-shaped holding element serving as a suspension device for a drip. This makes it possible in particular for the drip to be suspended in the holding element to still be held on the supporting element even if the spacer element (together with the supporting element fastened thereto with drip) is transferred from its vertical orientation into the horizontal orientation-for example during a short transport of the hospital bed together with the patient-since the drip is then always held on one of the inner windings of the spiral-shaped holding element. Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the schematic drawing. This shows FIG. 1 shows a perspective illustration of a first exemplary embodiment of a holding device which can be used according to the invention and has a spacer element oriented in a vertical orientation, and FIG. 2 shows the holding device from FIG. 1 in a side view with a spacer element oriented in a horizontal orientation. The exemplary embodiment of a holding device 1 according to the invention for holding a medical device or drip 2 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a mounting body 3, a spacer element 4 and a supporting element 5, wherein the presently rod-shaped spacer element 4 extends between mounting body 3 and supporting element 5. A coordinate system denotes the horizontal orientation x and the vertical orientation z.The mounting body 3 is produced in two parts in the form of a cylindrical annular body from a heat-resistant hard plastic material and is clamped in a rotationally secure manner by means of two screw connections (not shown for the sake of clarity) to a tubular, horizontally running section 6 of a bed brace 7 (only partially shown), which is mounted in the usual manner on a not-shown hospital bed. The (substantially) horizontally extending section 6 of the bed brace 7 typically extends, approximately centrally above the bed, from its top side a certain distance in the direction of its foot side.In the part of the mounting body 3 (mounted on the bed pole as intended) located above the horizontal section 6 of the bed pole 7, a first, vertically running bore 8 and a second, horizontally running bore 9 are provided (approximately) in the middle, which bore function as receptacles 8, 9 for an end section 10 of the rod-shaped spacer element 4 facing away from the support element 4, so that the spacer element 4 can be selectively connected to the mounting body 3 in a first, substantially vertical orientation (cf. FIG. 1 ) or in a second, substantially horizontal orientation (cf. FIG. 2 ) to produce a plug connection. In connection with the horizontal orientation according to the illustration from FIG. 2, it should be noted that the horizontal bore 9 in the present case penetrates completely through the mounting body 3, such that the end section 10 of the spacer element 4 can be inserted into the bore 9 not only from the right, as illustrated in FIG. 2, but also from the other side of the mounting body 3, that is to say from the left, into the bore 9 in question, as a result of which even two different horizontal orientations of the spacer element 4 can be realized in the present exemplary embodiment. In the exemplary embodiment of the present invention illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the spacer element 4, which could optionally also be designed as a fixed rod of predetermined length, has two sub-pipes 11, 12 which can be telescopically adjusted in their relative position according to the double arrow P and locked with one another in different positions, so that the overall length of the spacer element 4 can advantageously be adjusted over a certain range of, for example, between 30 and 60 cm. The spacer element is preferably also suitable for mounting other medical devices, such as the nutritional pump 13 shown by way of example in FIG. 1.The support element 5, which is likewise produced from stainless steel and extends substantially perpendicularly to the spacer element 4 (and perpendicularly to the horizontal section 6 of the bed brace 7), is welded approximately centrally to the end of the spacer element 4 facing away from the mounting body 3, that is to say is permanently and non-detachably connected thereto, and thus forms two limbs 14, 15 which extend to different sides of the spacer element 4 and which point with their free ends 16, 17 to the left and right bed side of the bed arranged beneath the bed brace 7 and are easily accessible from there to a doctor or another caregiver.A spiral-shaped retaining element 18, 19 is welded to the free ends 16, 17 of the support element 5 or is optionally formed in one piece from the rod forming the support element 5. A drip 2 containing an infusion solution is suspended on the holding element 19 shown on the right in FIG. 1 by means of a tab 20, wherein the drip 2 can optionally also be threaded directly onto the spiral holding element 19 by an eyelet provided thereon. Due to the spiral-shaped configuration of the holding elements 18, 19, the drip 2 is still securely held on the supporting element 5 connected to the spacer element 4 even in the horizontal orientation of the spacer element 4 shown in FIG. 2.It can be clearly seen that the holding device 1 according to the invention, when the spacer element 4 assumes the position shown in FIG. 1, protrudes highly beyond the bed leg 7 or its horizontal section 6, as a result of which it could possibly represent an obstacle that strikes against the door frame during transport of the bed. If, however, the spacer element 4 is brought into the orientation shown in FIG. 2 during the transport of the bed, the holding device 1 as a whole hardly protrudes beyond the bed boom 7, whereby the bed (together with the bed boom and the holding device mounted thereon and any drip held thereon) is easily transportable.
