Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a convertible vehicle with a finned soft top according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] From DE 10 2009 035 032 A1, a convertible vehicle with a finned soft top has become known, which can be attached to the body structure via tension hooks on tensioning brackets of a tensioning device for closing the soft top.
[0003] The object of the invention is to create a convertible vehicle with a finned soft top that can be easily installed and locked in a closed position on the vehicle and can be released to open it.
[0004] This problem is solved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. Further advantageous features are included in the dependent claims.
[0005] To secure and firmly hold the finned convertible top at its respective end ends in the closed state, the invention provides a device comprising fin receptacles fixed in the vehicle body or a rear lid, into which a fin end piece connected to the fabric fin is held snapping into place when the convertible top is closed.
[0006] In particular, the invention also provides that the fin receptacle is fixedly held in place on the upper and lower sides of the rear decklid of the vehicle body, and that a segment of the fin receptacle has an inclined receiving opening into which a bottom-side end stop with an insertion bore is arranged. The end stop is inclined and at a right angle to the receiving opening and has an approximately parallel course to the fabric of the closed finned convertible top.
[0007] Furthermore, according to the invention, the fin end piece comprises an upper plate-shaped cover part connected to the fin material and a cylindrical section adjoins it on the underside, in which a cylindrical locking bolt is held, the free end of which is arranged to project freely.
[0008] According to the invention, the fin end piece is integrated into the rear cover in such a way that, in a simple assembly manner, the closed fin cover with the fin end piece can be inserted into the fin receptacle from above and is held in place by a locking mechanism.
[0009] To ensure the fin end piece is firmly anchored in the fin receptacle, the cylindrical section of the fin end piece rests against the inclined end stop of the fin end piece when the convertible top is closed, and the locking bolt is placed in the insertion bore of the fin receptacle segment.
[0010] In particular, the locking bolt can be secured by means of a ball detent arranged radially to the insertion bore of the fin mount, which engages in a groove on the locking bolt. To open the fin cover, the locking bolt can be released by loosening the ball detent.
[0011] According to a further embodiment of the invention, the locking bolt is designed with a triangular or oval cross-section, and the corresponding insertion bore in the fin receptacle is designed accordingly. This additionally secures the positioning of the fin end piece in the fin receptacle without preventing the bolt from rotating.
[0012] Furthermore, according to the invention, the angle of the insertion direction of the locking bolt into the fin receptacle and the fabric direction of the fin are arranged at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Due to the angle of less than 90 degrees between the insertion direction of the fin end piece into the fin receptacle and the fabric direction of the fin cover, the fabric tension F acts on the system in the closing direction, thus preventing the fin cover from coming loose due to wind load or tensile force of the fin fabric.
[0013] Furthermore, according to the invention, the inclined receiving opening of the fin mount is tightly sealed from above by the fin end piece when the fin cover is closed, such that no water management is required. The cylindrical section of the fin end piece inserted into the receiving opening of the fin mount seals it tightly, preventing water from penetrating from the outside and eliminating the need for additional sealing measures.
[0014] According to the invention, the fin top can preferably be attached to a corner mirror of the vehicle after opening, wherein this device can consist of the fin end piece and the corresponding fin receptacle according to the invention.
[0015] An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawings and is described in more detail below.
[0016] They show: Fig. 1. A view of a convertible vehicle with a closed fin top, Fig. 2 a detailed view of the convertible vehicle with a fin mount in the rear decklid with the fin top closed, Fig. 3 a view of the fin deck fixed to a corner mirror over the interior, Fig. 4 A view of the mechanism for receiving the fin top in the rear decklid, with the fin top folded down, Fig. 5 an enlarged view of the device x with the fin mount in the rear lid of the vehicle, Fig. 6 a vertical section of the device with fixed fin mount in the rear lid and fin end piece on the fin fabric, Fig. 7 a single view of the fin end piece of the fixture and Fig. 8 a single view of the fin photograph of the facility.
[0017] A convertible vehicle 1 is equipped with a so-called finned soft top 2, which has narrow fabric fins 3 arranged on the sides of the vehicle 1. When the soft top 1 of the vehicle 1 is closed, these fins extend rearward in the opposite direction of travel FR and form a cutout 4 between them. The fabric fins 3 can be attached to the vehicle 1 or to the rear decklid 6 by means of a device 5.
[0018] The device 5 comprises a fin receptacle 7 held in the rear lid 6 of the vehicle 1, into which a fin end piece 9 connected to the fabric fin 3 is held in a locking position when the convertible top 2 is closed.
[0019] The fin receptacle 7 is preferably fixedly mounted in the rear decklid 6 of the vehicle 1 on its upper and lower sides. The fin receptacle 7 has a segment 10 with an inclined receiving opening 11. A bottom-side end stop 12 with a correspondingly inclined insertion bore 14 is arranged in this opening.
[0020] The end stop 12 is preferably inclined and has an approximately parallel course to the fabric course 15 of the closed fin cover 2.
[0021] The fin end piece 9 comprises an upper plate-shaped cover part 17 connected to the fin fabric 16, to which a cylindrical section 18 is attached on the underside, in which a locking bolt 9 is held.
[0022] To close the convertible top 2, the fin end piece 9 is inserted from above into the fin receptacle 7 in the direction of arrow P and then pulled out again in the opposite direction. The fin end piece 9 is held in the receptacle opening 11 and its end face rests against the inclined bottom-side end stop 12 of the fin receptacle 7, with the locking bolt 19 having its exposed end in the insertion bore 14 of the segment 10 of the fin receptacle 7.
[0023] The locking bolt 19 can preferably be secured by means of a ball detent 20 arranged radially to the insertion bore 14 of the fin receptacle 7, which engages in a groove 21 of the locking bolt 19.
[0024] The locking bolt 19 can optionally be designed in a triangular or oval cross-section, and correspondingly the insertion bore 14 is then designed in the fin receptacle 7.
[0025] As in Fig.As detailed in section 6, the insertion direction of the locking bolt 19 into the fin receptacle 7 and the fabric path of the convertible top 2 are preferably arranged at an angle of < 90 degrees.
[0026] With the convertible top 2 closed, the fin receptacle 7 is tightly sealed from above by the fin end piece 9, so that no water management with a special sealing against water is required.
[0027] Once the fins 3 have been detached from the device 5, they are inserted in their extended position into a corner post 22 of the vehicle 1. The securing in the corner post 22 is carried out in approximately the same way as with the device 5.
