Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a soil tillage machine, in particular a cultivator or a harrow, having the features of the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Such soil tillage machines are used in agriculture, particularly in viticulture and fruit growing, for loosening and tilling the soil. They usually have a base frame that can be coupled to a tractor. The base frame usually consists of at least two longitudinal beams and at least two cross beams. Soil tillage tools are arranged on the base frame. The soil tillage tools are arranged either directly on the base frame or indirectly via separate tool carriers. When separate tool carriers are used, the tools are usually arranged in groups on the tool carriers. The soil tillage tools are usually either discs, tines, or rotary hoes.

[0003] A major problem with the use of tillage machines in agriculture, especially in viticulture and orchards, is the ease of adjusting the tillage width. This is because the tillage width must be adapted to the width of the corridors between the rows of plants, especially when used in viticulture and orchards.

[0004] With conventional tillage machines, the tillage width can be adjusted, for example, by moving the tool carriers mounted on the base frame transversely to the direction of travel. However, with conventional tillage machines, adjusting the tillage width is generally only possible when the tillage machine is raised, i.e., when the tillage machine is not in operation and not touching the ground.

[0005] A further disadvantage of the known soil cultivation machines is that the tool carriers can only be adjusted transversely to the direction of travel in one direction at a time, i.e. to the left or right.

[0006] In addition, the adjustment of the soil tillage width in the known soil tillage machines, in which the tools for soil tillage are arranged on separate tool carriers, also causes an unwanted change in the angle of the tools to the direction of travel of the towing vehicle.

[0007] DE 27 07 183 A1 shows a soil tillage machine with a base frame and tool carriers on each of which tools for soil tillage are arranged, wherein the base frame has a pivoting lever on which the tool carriers are arranged and the pivoting lever can be pivoted by at least one hydraulic cylinder on the base frame.

[0008] US Patent No. 5,878,821 A describes a soil tillage implement with discs whose angle and depth can be controlled during operation. The discs are mounted on a hydraulically adjustable support bar. They can be hydraulically adjusted relative to each other and to the direction of movement of the implement. This allows precise control of the tillage depth and angle.

[0009] The present invention is based on the object of creating a soil tillage machine of the type mentioned at the outset which does not have the disadvantages described above.

[0010] According to the invention, this object is achieved by a soil tillage machine having the features of claim 1. Expedient embodiments and advantageous further developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

[0011] In the soil tillage machine according to the invention, the base frame has a pivoting lever arranged longitudinally to the direction of travel of the towing vehicle, on which the tool carriers are arranged transversely to the direction of travel of the towing vehicle. The pivoting lever can be pivoted on the base frame by one or more hydraulic cylinders. By pivoting the pivoting lever, the tool carriers can each be adjusted transversely to the direction of travel of the towing vehicle. The pivoting of the pivoting lever is effected by at least one hydraulic cylinder. This design allows both the extension and retraction of the tool carriers, whereby the tool carriers can be adjusted transversely to the direction of travel of the towing vehicle and the soil tillage width can be changed. This is also possible during operation with the soil tillage machine according to the invention. This avoids having to interrupt the tillage machine's operation and raise the tillage machine to change the tillage width. Of course, changing the tillage width is also possible when the tillage machine is interrupted and raised.

[0012] A further advantage of the soil tillage machine according to the invention is that the originally set angle of the tool carriers relative to the direction of travel of the tractor is not changed even if the soil tillage width is changed, so that no readjustment of the angle is necessary.

[0013] Another advantage of the soil tillage machine according to the invention is that the tool carriers can be adjusted across the entire width of the base frame to both sides, transverse to the direction of travel of the tractor, with the tool carriers being arranged in opposite directions. This allows the tilled soil to be thrown either to the left or to the right without changing the originally set angle of the tool carriers. When used particularly in viticulture and fruit growing, this always means either toward or away from the row of plants.

[0014] According to the invention, the pivot lever is rotatably mounted on a cross member of the base frame, thereby increasing the stability of the soil tillage machine.

[0015] In further preferred embodiments, the ends of the pivot lever are guided on two cross members of the base frame. This can be done both without the pivot lever being rotatably mounted on a cross member of the base frame and with the pivot lever simultaneously being rotatably mounted on a cross member of the base frame.

[0016] According to the invention, the ends of the pivot lever are guided on two cross members of the base frame by means of a slide each.

[0017] It is also advantageous to guide the ends of the pivot lever on cross members of the base frame by means of guide pins in guide rails.

[0018] In a preferred embodiment, the pivot lever is pivoted by a double-acting hydraulic cylinder.

[0019] In a further preferred embodiment, the pivot lever can also be pivoted by at least two single-acting hydraulic cylinders, wherein the single-acting hydraulic cylinders are arranged in opposite directions of action on the opposite sides of the pivot lever.

[0020] Furthermore, it is advantageous if one end of the hydraulic cylinder is arranged on a longitudinal member of the base frame and the other end of the hydraulic cylinder is arranged on the pivot lever.

[0021] Various tools can be arranged on the tool carriers of the tillage machine. The arrangement of discs, tines, or rotary hoes is particularly advantageous.

[0022] An embodiment of a soil tillage machine according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to three drawings: Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a soil tillage machine according to the invention with a base frame (1). The base frame (1) consists of several cross members (2) and two longitudinal members (3). The pivot lever (4) is rotatably mounted on one of the cross members (2). The two ends of the pivot lever are guided on two further cross members (2), with the guidance in this embodiment each being provided by a carriage (5). The tool carriers (6) are connected to the ends of the pivot lever via the carriages (5). Also shown is a double-acting hydraulic cylinder (7), which is connected at one end to a longitudinal member (3) and at the other end to the pivot lever (4). Discs (8) are arranged on the tool carriers (6) as tools. Fig. 1 the swivel arm is in the middle position, which allows the smallest possible soil tillage width. Fig. Figure 2 shows a top view of the soil tillage machine according to the invention, in which the pivot lever (4) is set to the right in the direction of travel and the soil movement occurs inward. In the case of use in viticulture or orchards, this means away from the rows of plants. Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the soil tillage machine according to the invention, in which the pivot lever (4) is set to the left in the direction of travel, so that the earth movement takes place outwards, i.e. towards the rows of plants.

[0023] Three sheets of drawings follow.
