Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a mounting housing for sanitary fittings, such as washbasin or urinal fittings.
[0002] To facilitate the adjustment or maintenance of faucets installed in or behind a wall, it is very practical to use a mounting box with openings for water inlet and outlet, which are preferably sealed. This prevents water from penetrating the wall in the event of a leak in the faucet itself.
[0003] Such housings are described, for example, in the documents DE 10 2011 051 739 A1, CN 1 02 720 888 A, EP 2 143 846 A1, DE 10 2008 064 253 B3 and EP 1 382 757 A1.
[0004] These housings consist of a tubular, essentially cylindrical body, a flange that encircles this body and allows the housing to be attached to a wall, and a means for positioning and locking the flange to the tubular body. They have an opening at the front to drain unwanted water. However, they have the disadvantage of requiring the production of complex molds, and their application proves difficult or even impossible, particularly in the case of renovating older buildings.

[0020] As can be seen in these figures, a built-in housing according to the present invention has a tubular body 1, the inside of which 1a is cylindrical and which is provided with a flat bottom 2. The front of this flat bottom 2, i.e., the one facing the interior of the tubular body 1, is provided with fastening means 3 and 4 for receiving a tap.

[1] A housing for sanitary fittings, such as washbasin or urinal fittings, comprising a tubular body (1) provided with a flat bottom (2) and having two diametrically opposed holes (5, 5') near this flat bottom (2) and two foot-forming units (9, 9') detachably attached to said tubular body (1), wherein an adjustable collar (16) is attached to this tubular body (1), characterized by , that an outer surface (6) of the said tubular body (1) has two wedge-jointing grooves (7, 7') extending from the flat base (2) and over a certain length, each of which is designed to fasten one of the units (9, 9') forming a foot. [2] Installation housing according to claim 1, characterized by , that the inside or the outside of the tubular body (1) is flat at the level of the two holes (5, 5'). [3] Installation housing according to claim 1, characterized by , that the wedge connection grooves (7, 7') adjoin the slide rails (8). [4] Mounting housing according to claim 3, characterized by , that the wedge connection grooves (7, 7') lie in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the two holes (5, 5').
