Description

The invention relates to a motor vehicle with a vehicle roof having the features of the preamble of claim 1. From US patent 1,871,871 A, a motor vehicle with a roof is known that has a roof opening which can be selectively closed or opened by means of an adjustable roof element. In its corner regions, the roof element is provided with support elements that are pivotable in the transverse direction of the roof and support the roof element in its raised operating position. In this operating position, the fixed roof element can be lowered onto a perimeter formed by fixed roof sections, similar to a table, via the support elements. From DE 10 2004 005 589 A1, a motor vehicle is known that includes both a roof opening bounded by fixed roof sections and a cover for covering the roof opening. The cover, in turn, includes at least one fixed roof element. Furthermore, the cover is adjustable between a raised operating position, in which the at least one fixed roof element is raised relative to the fixed roof sections, and a lowered closed position, in which the at least one fixed roof element closes the roof opening. Support elements are pivotally attached to the cover, which support the cover in its operating position. The invention is based on the objective of proposing a motor vehicle whose vehicle roof is characterized by simple handling and improved space utilization and can be easily retrofitted. This problem is solved by the motor vehicle according to claim 1. According to the invention, the proposed motor vehicle with a roof comprises a roof opening bounded by fixed roof sections and a cover device comprising at least one fixed roof element. The cover device is adjustable between a raised operating position, in which the at least one fixed roof element is raised relative to the fixed roof sections, and a lowered closed position, in which the at least one fixed roof element closes the roof opening. Support elements are pivotably articulated to the cover device, supporting it in the operating position. In the operating position, the support elements form a substantially right angle with a plane defined by the at least one fixed roof element, allowing the cover device to be placed on vehicle-mounted bases in the manner of a table. The cover device includes at least one locking element to secure the stand elements in the operating position. Furthermore, the pivoting support elements mean that the cover mechanism, in its lowered closed position, occupies only a small installation space, thus ensuring ample headroom within a passenger compartment located beneath the cover. If the cover mechanism is also positioned above a cargo area, a large cargo space is created. Due to the proposed simple construction of the stand elements and the at least one locking element, the cover element can be easily and simply adjusted between its raised operating position and its lowered closed position. Due to the small installation space requirement and the concept of the cover device, no modification to the bodywork is necessary when retrofitting such a cover device. In a preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, the securing element is a securing strut that is articulated on one side to the at least one fixed roof element and detachably connected on the other side to at least one of the support elements via a locking connection. To best absorb forces, such as wind loads, acting on the cover device in its operating position, the at least one securing strut is articulated to the fixed roof element. This shortens the lever arm formed by the support element compared to an arrangement on a vehicle-fixed roof section. Thus, the cover device is designed to be stable and durable. The safety strut is adjustable at least between a release position, in which it is out of engagement with the at least one stand element, and a locking position, in which it is connected to the at least one stand element via the locking connection. In a further preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, the covering device can comprise three fixed roof elements. Preferably, the three fixed roof elements are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the roof or in the direction of travel. This makes it possible to separately expose individual areas of the vehicle interior, such as the front seats, the rear row of seats, or the cargo area, by removing a corresponding fixed roof element upwards, similar to a convertible. At the same time, the remaining parts can also be exposed upwards or remain covered from above by not removing the corresponding fixed roof element. In a further preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, the cover device can comprise at least four support elements, with each support element preferably being arranged in a separate corner region of the cover device. In this embodiment, the cover device preferably has a largely rectangular base. Thus, viewed in the direction of travel, the cover device comprises two front support elements and two rear support elements, or two left support elements and two right support elements. The two front support elements can, for example, support the cover device in the region of the A-pillars of the motor vehicle, and the two rear support elements can, for example, support the cover device in the region of the B-, C-, or D-pillars. With such an arrangement, the stability of the cover device in the operating position is further improved. Alternatively or additionally, the cover device may comprise at least four support elements per fixed roof element, with each support element preferably being arranged in a separate corner area of the respective fixed roof element. In this embodiment, the fixed roof element preferably has a largely rectangular base. This allows an individual fixed roof element to be adjusted separately from other fixed roof elements. In this case, the raised fixed roof element is in the operating position, while the lowered fixed roof elements remain in the closed position. It is also conceivable that the cover mechanism comprises four support elements in separate corner areas and at least four additional support elements on a fixed roof section. This allows for the creation of a cascade-like vehicle roof, where not only the cover mechanism itself can be raised relative to the fixed roof sections via its four support elements, but also at least one of the fixed roof sections can be raised via its four support elements. In other words, the raised fixed roof section can be lifted in two ways. It is also conceivable that only a single fixed roof section can be lifted using the four support elements. In a further preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, the vehicle roof can have a roof opening seal which is arranged circumferentially around the roof opening-side edge of the vehicle roof. The cover device thus rests on the roof opening seal in its lowered closed position, thereby reliably preventing moisture from penetrating into the vehicle interior. It is also conceivable that the covering device incorporates a fixed roof element seal between adjacent fixed roof elements. This would also reliably prevent moisture from penetrating the vehicle interior. In the motor vehicle according to the invention, the vehicle roof comprises a textile covering that can be stretched between the at least one fixed roof element and the vehicle's fixed roof sections. This ensures that, even with a cover erected, the vehicle interior is largely protected from external influences such as wind or rain, as well as from unwanted views inside. It is conceivable that the height of the textile covering corresponds to the length of the support elements, so that the textile covering is as taut as possible when the cover is erected. In the motor vehicle according to the invention, the textile covering is preferably attached on one side in a groove of the at least one fixed roof element and on the other side in a water channel of the body. This ensures the largest possible vehicle interior space. It is conceivable that the pivot axes of the support elements and / or at least one stabilizing strut run transversely to the vehicle. This would allow the support elements to be of considerable length, enabling the creation of a cover that can be raised high. If the pivot axes were arranged longitudinally, the length of the support elements would be severely limited, particularly by the vehicle's width. In a further preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, the locking connection can be a plug connection, a clamp connection, or a screw connection. This allows the cover device to be secured and unlocked easily and without tools. In a further preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, each stand element is assigned a locking element. This ensures that all stand elements have the same locking mechanism, resulting in a very stable cover device. Furthermore, the cover device is thus not subjected to uneven stress from acting forces. In a further preferred embodiment of the motor vehicle according to the invention, the vehicle roof comprises at least one locking element for securing the cover device to at least one vehicle-mounted roof section in the lowered closed position. This reliably prevents the roof opening from being unintentionally released. Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the subject matter of the invention can be found in the description, the drawing and the patent claims. An embodiment of a motor vehicle according to the invention is schematically simplified in the drawing and is explained in more detail in the following description. It shows: Fig. 1 a perspective top view of a vehicle body of a vehicle according to the invention with a cover device in the closed position; Fig. 2 a view corresponding to Fig. 1 with the cover device raised in its operating position; Fig. 3 a view corresponding to Fig. 2, with the textile covering removed; Fig. 4 a detail view of the raised cover device from the vehicle interior; Fig. 5 a detail view of the lowered cover device from the vehicle interior; Fig. 6 a sectional view of a fixed roof element seal; and Fig. 7 a view of a locking element from a vehicle interior. Figures 1, 2 to 3 show the body 3 of a motor vehicle 2 above a shoulder line 4. The motor vehicle 2 has a roof 6, which comprises fixed roof sections 8 and a roof opening 10, which is bounded by the fixed roof sections 8. The roof opening 10 extends longitudinally along the roof 6 and thus above a front seating area 12, a rear seating area 14, and a storage area 16. The vehicle interior is therefore divided into three sections in the direction of travel: the front section, located in the direction of travel, comprises two front seats; the rear seating area 14, adjoining this to the rear, comprises a bench seat; and the rear interior section contains a storage compartment and is therefore designated as the storage area 16. The body 3 has an A-pillar A, a B-pillar B, a C-pillar C, and a D-pillar D on each side of a vertical longitudinal center plane of the vehicle. The roof opening 10 shown in Fig. 1 is closed by means of a cover 18. The cover 18 comprises three fixed roof elements 22, 24 and 26, each of which is assigned to one of the three interior areas 12, 14 and 16. The cover 18 is adjustable between a lowered closed position shown in Fig. 1 and a raised operating position shown in Figs. 2 and 3, in which the three fixed roof elements 22, 24 and 26 are raised relative to the vehicle-fixed roof sections 8, and the cover 18 is thus extended. The vehicle roof 6 comprises a textile covering 28, which is stretched between the fixed roof elements 22, 24, and 26 and the vehicle-fixed roof sections 8. The textile covering 28 can be fastened on one side in a groove of the fixed roof elements 22, 24, and 26 and on the other side in a roof-side water channel of the body. Window-like viewing sections 30 are formed in the textile covering 28. On the vehicle roof side, the textile covering 28 follows the roof-opening-side edge of the vehicle roof 6 and therefore completely surrounds the roof opening 10. To better illustrate the setup mechanism, Fig. 3 shows the cover device 18 in its raised operating position according to Fig. 2; without the textile covering 28. Four support elements 32, 34, 36 and 38 are articulated to the cover device 18, each with a pivot axis 40 extending transversely to the vehicle. Each support element 32, 34, 36 and 38 is arranged in a separate corner area of the cover device 18. The cover device 18 has a largely rectangular base. Thus, viewed in the forward direction of travel, the cover assembly comprises two front support elements 32 and 34 and two rear support elements 36 and 38, or two left support elements 32 and 38 and two right support elements 34 and 36. The two front support elements 32 and 34 support the cover assembly 18 in the area of the A-pillars A of the motor vehicle 2, and the two rear support elements 36 and 38 support the cover assembly 18 in the area of the D-pillars D. The support elements 32, 34, 36, and 38 thus support the cover device 18 in its operating position, with each of the support elements 32, 34, 36, and 38 resting on a vehicle-mounted base 56. In the operating position, each of the support elements 32, 34, 36, and 38 forms a largely right angle with a plane defined by the three fixed roof elements 22, 24, and 26. This causes the cover device 18 to be positioned like a table, with the support elements 32, 34, 36, and 38 forming the table legs. The cover device 18 comprises four securing struts 42, 46, and 48, each securing strut 42, 46, and 48 being assigned to a support element 32, 34, 36, and 38, respectively. Each securing strut 42, 46, and 48 is hinged on one side to one of the fixed roof elements 22 and 26 and detachably connected on the other side to the corresponding support element 32, 34, 36, and 38, respectively, via a locking connection 50, in order to lock the cover device 18 in its operating position. On the cover device side, the securing struts 42, 46, and 48 are each pivotable about a pivot axis 52 extending transversely to the vehicle. The vehicle roof 6 includes a roof opening seal 54, which is arranged around the perimeter of the roof opening-side edge of the vehicle-fixed roof sections 8. In the closed position, the cover device 18 rests on the roof opening seal 54 with corresponding contact surfaces. Fig. 4 shows a view of the stand element 36 in the operating position of the cover device 18. The locking connection 50 between the stand element 36 and the locking strut 46 is designed as a plug connection. Alternatively, the locking connection 50 can also be designed as a clamp connection, screw connection, or other connection that allows the locking strut to be releasably secured to the stand element in order to prevent the stand element 36 from pivoting about the pivot axis 40. The stand element 36 is supported on the vehicle-mounted base 56 at its base. The connection of the stand elements 32, 34, and 36 to the fixed roof elements 22 and 26 is designed accordingly. Fig. 5 shows a bottom view of a section of the cover device 18 in the lowered closed position. The support element 36 is pivoted about the pivot axis 40 relative to the fixed roof element 26. Fig. 6 shows a section through the transition area between the fixed roof element 24 and the fixed roof element 26. The cover device 18 comprises a fixed roof element seal 58 between the two front adjacent fixed roof elements 22 and 24 and a fixed roof element seal 58 between the two rear adjacent fixed roof elements 24 and 26. The fixed roof element seal 58 has a sealing base 60 that is rigidly connected to the fixed roof element 26. A sealing web 62 is arranged at the end of the sealing base 60 opposite the area between the fixed roof element seal 58 and the fixed roof element 26. This sealing web 62 is perpendicular to the sealing base 60 and carries a sealing head 64 at its end opposite the sealing base 60. The sealing head 64 is perpendicular to the sealing web 62 via a sealing head base 66.The sealing base 60, the sealing rib 62, and the sealing head 64 together define a water channel 80. The fixed roof element 24 rests on the sealing head 64 via a contact surface 68. In other words, the fixed roof element seal 58 engages beneath the fixed roof element 24. Fig. 7 shows a locking element 70 of the vehicle roof 6 for securing the cover device 18 to the vehicle-fixed roof section 8. The locking element 70 comprises a cover device-fixed base 72 and a roof section-fixed counterpart 74. By means of a lever 76 articulated to the base 72, a pawl 78 can be engaged and disengaged from the counterpart 74, thereby securing the cover device 18 to the vehicle-fixed roof sections 8 or releasing it from them.
