Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a holding device for electrical components of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1, preferably an electric motor vehicle such as an electric car, also widely referred to as an e-car, e-mobile or electromobile (abbreviation BEV = English “Battery Electric Vehicle”), and to a motor vehicle, preferably an electric motor vehicle, with such a holding device according to the preamble of claim 6. Such a holding device and such a motor vehicle are shown in DE 10 2008 059 608 A1.
[0002] The safety of motor vehicles such as electric vehicles, in particular their behavior in the event of a vehicle crash or their collision behavior, is always a factor to be considered in motor vehicle development and in the design of motor vehicle safety systems.
[0003] For this purpose, various crash tests have been established that simulate vehicle collisions under realistic, controlled conditions. Such crash tests serve to gain insights into the behavior of a vehicle, its occupants, or its cargo in different crash configurations. This can provide insights into vehicle safety, for example, by uncovering vehicle weaknesses.
[0004] One well-known crash test is the "small overlap test" developed by the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). Like other crash tests, this test attempts to replicate or recreate a specific type of real-life accident / crash quite precisely. In this "small overlap test", a frontal impact with an overlap of 25% is carried out at 64 km / h, i.e. 25% of the vehicle's width comes into contact with a rigid obstacle. This crash test simulates, for example, a situation where the driver, in a rear-end collision with a vehicle in front, still tries to swerve to the left or right, but is unable to completely get past the vehicle in front. In this case, the loads acting on the vehicle are fundamentally different than those with a larger overlap.
[0005] In connection with the "small overlap test", the aim is to deflect the motor vehicle in a transverse direction of the vehicle (y-direction of the conventional vehicle coordinate system) when it collides with the obstacle, ie to allow the motor vehicle to slide sideways against a barrier or obstacle, which is achieved, for example, by not compensating for part of the kinetic energy caused by the collision by absorbing energy through vehicle structural deformation, but instead resulting in a displacement of the vehicle in the transverse direction of the vehicle.
[0006] This is achieved, for example, by equipping conventional vehicles with appropriately designed front axle supports or corresponding longitudinal members, which promote this lateral displacement of the vehicle in the transverse direction of the vehicle.
[0007] Furthermore, DE 10 2016 217 638 A1 shows a structure for connecting a strut brace in order to reinforce the lateral rigidity of an engine compartment of a vehicle.
[0008] Furthermore, US 2016 / 0144901 A1 concerns a vehicle body with a front end provided with several longitudinal members and cross members.
[0009] Furthermore, DE 10 2017 101 116 A1 describes a vehicle with front longitudinal members and a housing attached to them in which an electronic component is housed.
[0010] Finally, DE 10 2008 039 315 A1 proposes a front-end module with an assembly support carrying at least one unit, which in turn is supported on front longitudinal members of the vehicle body via a bulkhead plate and is movably attached to the bulkhead plates by means of mechanical fastening elements.
[0011] It is an object of the invention to further improve the collision behavior of vehicles, in particular to further promote the displacement of the vehicle in the transverse direction in the event of a collision.
[0012] This object is achieved with a mounting device according to the invention according to claim 1 and a motor vehicle according to the invention according to claim 6. Further advantageous embodiments and embodiments of the invention emerge from the dependent claims.
[0013] The mounting device according to the invention for electrical components of a motor vehicle, preferably an electric motor vehicle, comprises a mounting element which is designed to mount one or more electrical components of the vehicle, wherein the mounting element has a mounting section for mounting the one or more electrical components and a strut section extending from the mounting section, wherein the mounting element is designed such that the strut section extends in the vehicle front direction and vehicle transverse direction up to a vehicle front section when the mounting element is properly fastened to the motor vehicle and is at a predetermined angle to an axis pointing in the vehicle front direction.
[0014] The holding element of the holding device according to the invention is often also referred to as a so-called “shelf board” (BEV assembly carrier) in the electric vehicle, which is conventionally used merely as a holder for the electrical components. According to the invention, the holding element or shelf board is designed in such a way that the lateral sliding of the motor vehicle or electric vehicle along the obstacle or barrier is promoted, while the holding element or shelf board continues to perform its conventional function, namely holding the electrical components of the electric vehicle. Accordingly, the holding element or shelf board has been supplemented with a further function. Thus, it is intended that, in particular during the “small overlap test”, it allows the motor vehicle to slide sideways along the obstacle by helping to absorb an impulse in the Y direction or Y-direction resulting from the impact with the obstacle.transverse direction of the vehicle into the rigid or slightly deformable vehicle body, which leads to a lateral displacement of the vehicle. In other words, the "shelf" according to the invention is designed, on the one hand, as a holder for electronic components of the electric car, while it is also configured such that it can also build up an impulse in the Y direction and introduce it into the vehicle body, in order to cause the vehicle to slide sideways against the barrier or obstacle. This is achieved in particular in that the holding element or the "shelf" has, in addition to the holding section, an inclined strut section or an inclined "horn" into which the Y impulse is initially introduced upon impact. This "horn" preferably protrudes further in the Y direction than the engine mount of the motor vehicle or electric vehicle in order to be able to establish contact with the barrier or obstacle.Accordingly, the shelf is designed so that the given structural paths can absorb the forces. Ideally, the shelf follows the bulkhead contour and aligns itself in the event of a crash load. The strut section or shelf flange is designed to be sufficiently rigid to transfer the forces into the support section and, via this, into the vehicle body.
[0015] The mounting device according to the invention can advantageously be further developed such that, when the mounting element is properly attached to the motor vehicle, the strut section lies in a plane spanned by the axis pointing in the front direction of the vehicle and an axis pointing in the transverse direction of the vehicle. Preferably, the mounting section and the strut section of the mounting element lie in one plane.
[0016] Furthermore, the mounting device according to the invention can be implemented in such a way that the strut section is designed to be connected to a support formed by the vehicle front section.
[0017] Furthermore, the mounting device according to the invention can be implemented in such a way that the mounting element has two strut sections extending from the mounting section, which, when the mounting element is fastened to the motor vehicle as intended, each extend in the front direction and each differently in the transverse direction of the vehicle up to the front section of the vehicle in such a way that the strut sections extend in a V-shape at least in sections.
[0018] Preferably, both strut sections together with the support section lie in one plane (XY plane).
[0019] Furthermore, the holding device according to the invention can be further developed such that the holding section is designed to hold an on-board power supply battery and / or an air conditioning compressor and / or a cooling unit and / or a charging unit and / or a converter unit.
[0020] The motor vehicle according to the invention, in particular an electric motor vehicle, comprises the mounting device according to the invention and one or more electrical components that are mounted by the mounting portion of the mounting element of the mounting device, wherein the mounting element is arranged in the motor vehicle such that the strut portion of the mounting element extends in the vehicle front direction and vehicle transverse direction up to a vehicle front portion and is at a predetermined angle to an axis pointing in the vehicle front direction. As a result, the properties and advantages described in connection with the mounting device according to the invention are achieved in the same or similar manner, which is why, to avoid repetition, reference is made to the above statements in connection with the mounting device according to the invention.
[0021] Preferred embodiments of the invention are explained below by way of example with reference to the attached figures.
[0022] They show: Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a holding device according to the invention according to a first embodiment of the invention; Fig. 2 a schematic plan view of the holding device according to the invention of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a schematic view of a holding device according to the invention according to a second embodiment of the invention; Fig. 4 different views of the mounting device according to the invention of Fig. 3; and Fig. 5 further different views of the holding device according to the invention of Fig. 3.
[0023] Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a holding device 10 according to the invention according to a first embodiment of the invention and Fig. 2 shows a schematic plan view of the holding device 10 according to the invention of Fig. 1
[0024] As can be seen from the Fig. 1 and Fig. As can be seen from Figure 2, a motor vehicle, in the illustrated case an electric motor vehicle, which is only partially illustrated, comprises the mounting device 10 according to the invention, as well as several conventional electrical components (not illustrated) which are held by the mounting device 10 according to the invention.
[0025] Examples of these electrical components are an on-board power supply battery, an air conditioning compressor, a cooling unit, a charging unit for the on-board power supply battery, a converter unit, etc., which are held by a holding section of the holding device 10 according to the invention, which is described in more detail below.
[0026] For this purpose, the mounting device 10 according to the invention comprises a mounting element 12, which is designed to mount the electrical components of the vehicle. The mounting element 12 has the aforementioned mounting section 14 for mounting the electrical components and a strut section 16 extending from the mounting section 14. As can be seen from the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the support element 12 is designed such that the strut section 16, when the support element 12 is fastened as intended to the motor vehicle, preferably above a longitudinal member 20 of the motor vehicle, extends in the vehicle front direction (in the direction of the X-axis of the vehicle coordinate system) and vehicle transverse direction (in the direction of the Y-axis of the vehicle coordinate system) up to a vehicle front section 18 and is at a predetermined angle α to an axis pointing in the vehicle front direction (X-axis of the vehicle coordinate system).
[0027] In this exemplary embodiment, the strut section 16 lies in a plane spanned by the axis pointing in the front direction of the vehicle (X-axis of the vehicle coordinate system) and the axis pointing in the transverse direction of the vehicle (Y-axis of the vehicle coordinate system). The same applies to the support section 14, which in this case is arranged such that both the support section 14 and the strut section 16 lie in the same plane (XY plane).
[0028] In the illustrated embodiment, the vehicle front section 18 is formed by a support which is connected to the strut section 16.
[0029] Fig. 3 shows a schematic view of a holding device 10 according to the invention according to a second embodiment of the invention, while Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 different views of the mounting device according to the invention of Fig.3. In order to avoid repetition, the description of this second embodiment will only focus on the differences with respect to the first embodiment.
[0030] The mounting device 10 according to the second exemplary embodiment of the invention differs from that of the first exemplary embodiment in that the mounting element 12 has two strut sections 16 extending from the mounting section 14. When the mounting element 12 is properly fastened to the motor vehicle, these strut sections 16 extend in the front direction and, in different directions, in the transverse direction of the vehicle up to the front section 18 of the vehicle in such a way that the strut sections 16 extend in a V-shape, at least in sections. Both strut sections 16 and the mounting section 14 lie in the same plane (XY plane).
[0031] The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, in the drawings and in the claims may be essential for the realization of the invention both individually and in any combination.
