[0002] Traditionally, measuring the shape of a workpiece (object to be machined) in a non-contact manner using a laser beam or the like is well known in order to determine a machining starting point of the workpiece before performing a cutting operation on the workpiece in a numerically controlled machine tool (see, for example, patent document no. 1). State of the art documents, patent literature
[0003] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Disclosure JP 2012-53 509 A Summary
[0004] The shape of a workpiece can be used to determine a machining start point on the workpiece, as described in patent document No. 1, and can also be used to analyze whether the machining allowance (cutting allowance) is excessive.
[0005] However, since there is the problem of the time required for the measurement work, in addition to the need for costly non-contact measuring sensors when measuring the shape of a workpiece in a non-contact manner, as described in patent document No. 1, there is a desire to measure the shape of the workpiece easily and quickly.
[0006] It is an object of the present invention to provide an analysis device, an analysis method and a processing system that are capable of easily and quickly measuring the shape of a workpiece.
[0007] The problem is solved by an analysis device with the features of claim 1, by an analysis method with the features of claim 6, and by a machining system with the features of claim 7. A first embodiment is an analysis device equipped with a cutting amount detection unit and a shape detection unit. The cutting amount detection unit detects the cutting amount of the workpiece performed by a cutting tool, based on a machining property of the workpiece cutting operation performed by the cutting tool. The shape detection unit detects the shape of the workpiece before the cutting operation, based on the cutting amount and the cutting position of the cutting tool.
[0008] A second embodiment is an analysis method performed with a control device for controlling the analysis apparatus. The analysis method comprises: a step for calculating a workpiece cutting amount, which is determined based on a machining property of the workpiece cutting operation using a cutting tool and the cutting position of the cutting tool; and a step for outputting shape information that specifies the shape of the workpiece before the cutting operation.
[0009] A third embodiment is a machining system equipped with a cutting amount detection unit and a shape detection unit. The cutting amount detection unit detects the workpiece cutting amount performed by a cutting tool, based on a machining property of the workpiece cutting operation performed by the cutting tool. The shape detection unit detects the shape of the workpiece before the cutting operation, based on the cutting amount and the cutting position of the cutting tool.

Fig. Figure 8 is a schematic view to illustrate the cutting operation according to the second embodiment. Description of the embodiments: First embodiment
[0011] A first embodiment in which the analysis device of the present invention is applied to a lathe is explained in detail below with reference to the figures. Fig. Figure 1 is a block diagram of a configuration of a machining system 100 according to the present embodiment.
[0012] A machining system 100 is equipped with a numerically controlled machine tool 10 and an analysis device 20. Numerically controlled machine tool 10
[0013] Fig. Figure 2 is a schematic view illustrating the positional relationship between a cutting tool T and a workpiece (object to be machined) W in the numerically controlled machine tool 10. Fig. 2 is the x-axis perpendicular to the z-axis. The numerically controlled machine tool 10 performs a cutting operation on the rotating workpiece W in order to achieve a desired target shape by moving the cutting tool T. The workpiece W is made of, for example, a metal material.
[0014] As in Fig. Figure 1 shows the numerically controlled machine tool 10 comprising a control device 11, a spindle motor amplifier 12, a spindle motor 13, a spindle 14, an ammeter 15, a feed shaft motor amplifier 16, a feed shaft motor 17, a feed shaft 18 and a position encoder 19.
[0015] The control device 11 includes a storage unit 11a, a spindle speed control unit 11b, a feed rate control unit 11c, and a tool position detection unit 11d.
[0016] The storage unit 11a stores a machining program (a so-called NC program). The machining program is represented by G-codes for machining movements of the feed shaft 18 and settings in a coordinate system, and the like. For example, the G-code G00X200.0Y150.0 specifies that the cutting tool T should be moved to the coordinates (200,150), and the G-code G01X300.0Y200.0 F60 specifies that the cutting tool T should be moved linearly at a feed rate of 60 to the coordinates (300,200).
[0017] The storage unit 11a stores the tool position of the cutting tool T, which is detected by the tool position detection unit 11d, and an electrical current value of the spindle motor 13, which is detected by the ammeter 15.
[0018] The spindle speed control unit 11b refers to the machining program stored in the storage unit 11a, detects the speed of the spindle motor 13 to which the workpiece W is attached, and outputs a speed command to the spindle motor amplifier 12, which specifies the speed of the spindle motor 13.
[0019] The feed rate control unit 11c refers to the machining program stored in the storage unit 11a, detects the feed rate with respect to the workpiece W of the cutting tool T, which is attached to the feed shaft 18, and outputs a feed rate command to the feed shaft motor amplifier 16, which specifies the feed rate of the feed shaft 18.
[0020] The tool position detection unit 11d detects the tool position of the cutting tool T based on the position of the feed shaft 18 detected by the position encoder 19. The tool position detection unit 11d stores the detected tool position of the cutting tool T in the storage unit 11a.
[0021] The spindle motor amplifier 12 controls the spindle motor 13 according to the speed command issued by the spindle speed control unit 11b. The spindle motor 13 is an example of a "first motor" for driving the workpiece W around the z-axis. The spindle motor 13 causes the main spindle 14 to rotate around the z-axis at a predetermined speed. As a result, the workpiece W attached to the spindle 14 rotates around the z-axis at the predetermined speed. The z-axis is an example of a "first axis".
[0022] The ammeter 15 measures the electrical current supplied to the spindle motor 13. The ammeter 15 stores the measured electrical current value of the spindle motor 13 in the storage unit 11a.
[0023] The feed shaft motor amplifier 16 controls the feed shaft motor 17 according to the feed rate command issued by the feed rate control unit 11c. The feed shaft motor 17 moves the feed shaft 18 along the z-axis. As a result, the cutting tool T attached to the feed shaft 18 moves along the z-axis.
[0024] The position encoder 19 detects the position of the feed shaft 18. The position encoder 19 outputs the detected position of the feed shaft 18 to the tool position detection unit 11d. Analysis device 20
[0025] The analysis device 20 detects the shape of the workpiece W before the cutting operation by analyzing the information of the cutting operation on the workpiece W by the cutting tool T.
[0026] The analysis device 20 has a storage unit 21 and an analysis unit 22.
[0027] The storage unit 21 records and stores the speed of the spindle motor 13, the electrical current value of the spindle motor 13 and the tool position of the cutting tool T based on the machining program from the storage unit 11a of the numerically controlled machine tool 10.
[0028] The storage unit 21 stores torque characteristics of the spindle motor 13 and the specific cutting resistance of the workpiece W. Fig. Figure 3 is a graphical representation showing an example of the torque characteristics of the spindle motor 13. The relationship between the rotational speed and a rated torque when a 100% load is applied to the spindle motor 13 (that is, when the rated electrical current is applied to the spindle motor 13) is shown in the graphical representation of the torque characteristics. Fig. Figure 3 shows the specific cutting resistance of the workpiece W. This is the cutting force (cutting resistance) required to cut a cross-sectional area of 1 mm². 2 The specific cutting resistance is required in a cross-section of the workpiece W in the x- and z-planes. The value of the specific cutting resistance is calculated beforehand based on the type of cutting tool T and the material of the workpiece W. The unit for specific cutting resistance is [N / mm²]. 2 ].
[0029] The analysis unit 22 is equipped with a cutting force calculation unit 22a, a cutting amount recording unit 22b, a shape recording unit 22c and an output unit 22d.
[0030] The cutting force calculation unit 22a records the electrical current value of the spindle motor 13 from the storage unit 21. The cutting force calculation unit 22a determines the motor load (%) exerted on the spindle motor 13 by dividing the electrical current value of the spindle motor 13 by the electrical rated current value of the spindle motor 13.
[0031] The cutting force calculation unit 22a detects the rotational speed of the spindle motor 13 from the storage unit 21. The cutting force calculation unit 22a takes into account the torque characteristics ( Fig. 3) of the spindle motor 13, which are stored in the storage unit 21, and records the rated torque, which corresponds to the speed of the spindle motor 13. The cutting force calculation unit 22a calculates the cutting torque [Nm] by multiplying the rated torque by the motor load (%).
[0032] The cutting force calculation unit 22a calculates the cutting force [N] exerted on the cutting tool T by dividing the calculated cutting torque [Nm] by the distance [m] in the x-axis direction from the z-axis to the blade tip of the cutting tool T. The cutting force [N] calculated by the cutting force calculation unit 22a is an example of a "machining property" of the cutting work.
[0033] The cutting force detection unit 22b detects the cutting force [N] from the cutting force calculation unit 22a and detects the specific cutting resistance [N / mm²]. 2 ] of the workpiece W from the storage unit 21. The cutting amount detection unit 22b calculates a cutting surface area A1 [mm²]. 2 ] by dividing the cutting force [N] by the cutting resistance (N / mm) 2 ). As indicated by the diagonal lines in Fig. Figure 4 represents the cutting surface area A1 [mm²]. 2] a cross-sectional area of the workpiece W that is cut in the cross-section of the workpiece W on the x and z plane when the cutting tool T is moved slightly in the feed direction (direction parallel to the z-axis).
[0034] The cutting amount detection unit 22b detects a cutting amount Δh1 [mm] of the workpiece W by the cutting tool T by dividing the cutting surface area A1 [mm 2 The feed rate Δz1 [mm] of the cutting tool T is determined by a feed rate Δz1 [mm]. The feed rate Δz1 [mm] of the cutting tool T is not particularly limited and can be set to a desired value. The shape of the workpiece W can be estimated with greater accuracy by reducing the feed rate Δz1 [mm] of the cutting tool T accordingly. The cutting rate Δh1 [mm] can also be referred to as the cutting height (or cutting width) of the workpiece W in the x-axis direction.
[0035] In this way, the cutting amount detection unit 22b detects the cutting amount Δh1 [mm] by the cutting tool T on the basis of the cutting force [N], which is an example of a machining property during the cutting operation.
[0036] The shape detection unit 22c detects the tool position of the cutting tool T from the storage unit 21. The shape detection unit 22c detects a cutting position H1 [mm] of the cutting tool T based on the tool position of the cutting tool T. The cutting position H1 [mm] of the cutting tool T is the same as the distance in the x-axis direction from the z-axis to the blade tip of the cutting tool T.
[0037] The shape detection unit 22c detects a position P1 on the outer edge of the workpiece W before the cutting operation by adding the cutting amount Δh1 [mm] of the workpiece W by the cutting tool T and the cutting position H1 [mm] of the cutting tool T.
[0038] The shape detection unit 22c detects the position P1 for each feed rate Δz1 [mm] and detects the shape of the workpiece W before the cutting operation by listing the several detected positions P1.
[0039] According to the analysis device 20, as described above in the present embodiment, based on the cutting amount Δh1 [mm] of the workpiece W and the cutting position H1 [mm] of the cutting tool T, neither a non-contact nor a contact type of measuring sensor is used to detect the shape of the workpiece W before the cutting operation. Not only can the shape of the workpiece W be easily detected, but there is also no need to measure the shape of the workpiece W before the cutting operation. Therefore, the shape of the workpiece W can be measured easily and quickly.
[0040] While it is normally very difficult to measure the shapes of all workpieces W, the shapes of all workpieces W can be measured, for example, by the analysis device 20 as in the present embodiment. Therefore, it can be accurately verified whether the machining allowance (cutting allowance) of the workpiece W is excessive, since variations in shape can be easily detected by comparing the shapes of several workpieces W. Consequently, by providing feedback on the verification results for improving the design used to manufacture the workpieces W, the amount of material used in the manufacture of the workpieces W can be reduced, and the machining time on the workpieces W by the numerically controlled machine tool 10 can also be shortened. For this reason, the analysis device 20 has the output unit 22d for outputting shape data to the outside, which specifies the shape of the workpiece W in order to provide feedback on the shape of the workpiece W to a previous step. Process from form design to feedback
[0041] Fig. Figure 5 is a flowchart to explain a process from the design of a shape of the workpiece W to providing feedback on the shape of the workpiece W according to the first embodiment.
[0042] In step S1, the shape of the workpiece is calculated by adding a desired machining allowance for a target shape, and a shape (for example, a casting mold, a forging die, or the like) that corresponds to the shape of the workpiece W is designed.
[0043] The mold is produced in step S2, and a workpiece W is produced in step S3 using the desired machining process (for example, casting, forging, or the like).
[0044] In step S4, the numerically controlled machine tool 10 performs the cutting work on the workpiece W, and the analysis device 20 records the shape of the workpiece W.
[0045] In step S5, the analysis device 20 outputs the shape data specifying the shape of the workpiece W. This output shape data is used to check whether the machining allowance of workpiece W is excessive and, if necessary, to improve the shape design in step S1. Second embodiment
[0046] A second embodiment, in which the analysis device of the present invention is applied to a milling machine, is explained in detail below with reference to the figures. Fig. Figure 6 is a block diagram of a configuration of a machining system 200 according to the present embodiment. The same reference numbers are applied to configurations that are identical to those in the first embodiment above. Fig. There are 6.
[0047] The machining system 200 is equipped with a numerically controlled machine tool 30 and an analysis device 40. Numerically controlled machine tool 30
[0048] Fig. Figure 7 is a schematic view illustrating the positional relationship between a cutting tool T and a workpiece (object to be machined) W in the numerically controlled machine tool 30. Fig. 7 is the x-axis perpendicular to the z-axis. The numerically controlled machine tool 30 uses the turning and cutting tool T to perform the cutting operation on the workpiece W, which is attached to a (not shown) mounting table to achieve the desired target shape.
[0049] As in Fig. Figure 6 shows that the numerically controlled machine tool 10 has a control device 31, a spindle motor amplifier 32, a spindle motor 33, a spindle 34, an ammeter 35, a feed shaft motor amplifier 36, a feed shaft motor 37, a feed shaft 38 and a position encoder 39.
[0050] The control device 31 includes a storage unit 31a, a spindle speed control unit 31b, a feed rate control unit 31c and a tool position detection unit 31d.
[0051] The storage unit 31a stores a machining program. The storage unit 31a stores the tool position of the cutting tool T, which is detected by the tool position detection unit 31d, and an electrical current value of the spindle motor 33, which is detected by the ammeter 35.
[0052] The spindle speed control unit 31b refers to the machining program stored in the storage unit 31a, detects the speed of the spindle motor 33 to which the workpiece W is attached, and outputs a speed command to the spindle motor amplifier 32, which specifies the speed of the spindle motor 33.
[0053] The feed rate control unit 31c refers to the machining program stored in the storage unit 31a, detects a feed rate with respect to the workpiece W of the cutting tool T, which is attached to the feed shaft 38, and outputs a feed rate command to the feed shaft motor amplifier 36, which specifies the feed rate of the feed shaft 38.
[0054] The tool position detection unit 31d detects the tool position of the cutting tool based on the position of the feed shaft 38, which is detected by the position encoder 39. The tool position detection unit 31d stores the detected tool position of the cutting tool T in the storage unit 31a.
[0055] The spindle motor amplifier 32 controls the spindle motor 33 according to the speed command issued by the spindle speed control unit 31b. The spindle motor 33 is an example of a "second motor" that rotates the cutting tool T around the z-axis. The spindle motor 33 causes the main spindle 34 to rotate around the z-axis at a predetermined speed. As a result, the cutting tool T attached to the spindle 34 rotates around the z-axis at the predetermined speed. The z-axis is an example of a "second axis."
[0056] The ammeter 35 measures the electrical current supplied to the spindle motor 33. The ammeter 35 stores the measured electrical current value of the spindle motor 33 in the storage unit 31a.
[0057] The feed shaft motor amplifier 36 controls the feed shaft motor 37 according to the feed rate command issued by the feed rate control unit 31c. The feed shaft motor 37 moves the feed shaft 38 along the x-axis. As a result, the cutting tool T attached to the feed shaft 38 moves along the x-axis.
[0058] The position encoder 39 detects the position of the feed shaft 38. The position encoder 39 outputs the detected position of the feed shaft 38 to the tool position detection unit 31d. Analysis device 40
[0059] The analysis device 40 detects the shape of the workpiece W before the cutting operation by analyzing the information of the cutting operation performed on the workpiece W by the cutting tool T.
[0060] The analysis device 40 has a storage unit 41 and an analysis unit 42.
[0061] The storage unit 41 records and stores the speed of the spindle motor 43, the electrical current value of the spindle motor 43 and the tool position of the cutting tool T based on the machining program from the storage unit 41a of the numerically controlled machine tool 40.
[0062] The storage unit 41 stores torque characteristics of the spindle motor 33 and the specific cutting resistance of the workpiece W. The torque characteristics of the spindle motor 33 are determined by the in Fig. Figure 3 represents the specific cutting resistance of the workpiece, W. This is the cutting force (cutting resistance) required to cut a cross-sectional area of 1 mm². 2The specific cutting resistance is required in a cross-section of the workpiece W on the x and z planes. The value of the specific cutting resistance is calculated beforehand based on the type of cutting tool T and the material of the workpiece W. The unit for specific cutting resistance is [N / mm²]. 2 ].
[0063] The analysis unit 42 is equipped with a cutting force calculation unit 42a, a cutting amount recording unit 42b, a shape recording unit 42c and an output unit 42d.
[0064] The cutting force calculation unit 42a records the electrical current value of the spindle motor 33 from the storage unit 41. The cutting force calculation unit 42a determines the motor load (%) exerted on the spindle motor 33 by dividing the electrical current value of the spindle motor 33 by the electrical rated current value of the spindle motor 33.
[0065] The cutting force calculation unit 42a detects the rotational speed of the spindle motor 33 from the storage unit 41. The cutting force calculation unit 42a uses the torque characteristics stored in the storage unit 41 ( Fig. 3) of the spindle motor 33 and records the rated torque, which corresponds to the speed of the spindle motor 43. The cutting force calculation unit 42a calculates the cutting torque [Nm] by multiplying the rated torque by the motor load (%).
[0066] The cutting force calculation unit 42a calculates the cutting force [N] exerted on the cutting tool T by dividing the calculated cutting torque [Nm] by the distance r [m] in the x-axis direction from the z-axis to the blade tip of the cutting tool T. The distance r [m] is the radius of rotation of the blade tip of the cutting tool T, with the z-axis being used as the center point. The cutting force [N] calculated by the cutting force calculation unit 42a is an example of a "machining property" of the cutting work.
[0067] The cutting amount detection unit 42b detects the cutting force [N] from the cutting force calculation unit 42a and detects the specific cutting resistance [N / mm²]. 2 ] of the workpiece W from the storage unit 41. The cutting amount detection unit 42b calculates a cutting surface area A2 [mm²]. 2 ] by dividing the cutting force [N] by the cutting resistance [N / mm²] 2]. As indicated by the diagonal lines in Fig. Figure 8 represents the cutting surface area A2 [mm²]. 2 ] a cross-sectional area of the workpiece W, which is cut in the cross-section of the workpiece W on the x and z planes when the cutting tool T is moved slightly in the feed direction (direction parallel to the x-axis).
[0068] The cutting amount detection unit 42b detects a cutting amount Δh2 [mm] of the workpiece W by the cutting tool T by dividing the cutting surface area A2 [mm 2The feed rate Δx2 [mm] of the cutting tool T is determined by a feed rate Δx2 [mm]. The feed rate Δx2 [mm] of the cutting tool T is not particularly limited and can be set to a desired value. The shape of the workpiece W can be estimated with greater accuracy by reducing the feed rate Δx2 [mm] of the cutting tool T accordingly. The cutting rate Δh2 [mm] can also be the cutting height (or cutting width) of the workpiece W in the z-axis direction.
[0069] In this way, the cutting amount detection unit 42b detects the cutting amount Δh2 [mm] by the cutting tool T on the basis of the cutting force [N], which is an example of a machining property of the cutting work.
[0070] The shape detection unit 42c detects the tool position of the cutting tool T from the storage unit 41. The shape detection unit 42c detects a cutting position H2 [mm] of the cutting tool T based on the tool position of the cutting tool T. The cutting position H2 [mm] of the cutting tool T is the distance in the z-axis direction from the x-axis to the blade tip of the cutting tool T.
[0071] The shape detection unit 42c detects a position P2 on the outer edge of the workpiece W before the cutting operation by adding the cutting amount Δh2 of the workpiece W by the cutting tool T and the cutting position H2 [mm] of the cutting tool T.
[0072] The shape detection unit 42c detects the position P2 for each feed rate Δx2 [mm], and detects the shape of the workpiece W before cutting by arranging the multiple detected positions P2.
[0073] Since, according to the analysis device 40 as in the embodiment described above, the shape of the workpiece W can be detected before the cutting operation on the basis of the cutting amount Δh2 [mm] of the workpiece W and the cutting position H2 [mm] of the cutting tool T, the shape of the workpiece W can be measured easily and quickly.
[0074] Furthermore, according to the analysis device 40, as in the present embodiment, it can be checked with high accuracy whether the machining allowance (cutting allowance) of the workpiece W is excessive, since, for example, the shapes of all workpieces W can be measured. Consequently, by providing feedback on the verification results to improve the design of the mold used to manufacture the workpieces W, the amount of material used in the manufacture of the workpieces W can be reduced, and the time of the cutting operation performed on the workpieces W by the numerically controlled machine tool 30 can be shortened. For this reason, the analysis device 40 has the output unit 42d for outputting the shape data to the outside, which indicates the shape of the workpiece W, in order to provide feedback on the shape of the workpiece W for a previous step.
[0075] The process from form design to feedback is the same as described above. Fig. 5 of the first embodiment explained. Other embodiments
[0076] Although embodiments of the present invention have been described up to this point, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and various modifications can be made within the scope of protection of the invention.
[0077] While in the first and second embodiments the cutting force [N] exerted on the cutting tool T is calculated based on the electrical current value of the spindle motors 13 and 33, and the cutting force [N] is calculated as a "machining property", the present invention is not limited to this. For example, a force sensor can be attached to the cutting tool T, and the cutting force [N] exerted on the cutting tool T can be directly detected by the force sensor. In this case, the cutting force [N] detected by the force sensor can be used as the "machining property".
[0078] While in the first and second embodiments the analysis devices 20 and 40 are each directly connected to the numerically controlled machine tools 10 and 30, at least one other device such as a server or cloud storage can be arranged between the numerically controlled machine tools 10 and 30 and the respective analysis devices 20 and 40.
[0079] While in the first and second embodiments the analysis devices 20 and 40 are provided separately from the respective numerically controlled machine tools 10 and 30, in the second embodiment the analysis devices 20 and 40 can be integrated with the respective numerically controlled machine tools 10 and 30. In this case, the functions of the analysis devices 20 and 40 can be incorporated into the respective control devices 11 and 31.
[0080] While in the first and second embodiments the analysis devices 20 and 40 are provided with all the functions of the respective cutting force calculation units 22a and 42a, the cutting amount detection units 22b and 42b, and the shape detection units 22c and 42c, the present invention is not limited in this way.
