Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to an assembly of a vehicle seat according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Such an assembly comprises a seat frame having at least one frame part forming a surface section. The assembly further comprises a drive device having a spindle and an adjusting gear. The adjusting gear has a gear housing and is designed to adjust the spindle longitudinally relative to the housing along an adjusting direction in order to exert an adjusting force on the seat frame.
[0003] The assembly can, for example, form a seat height adjustment device for adjusting the height of a seat frame of the seat frame relative to a vehicle floor, for example relative to a longitudinal adjustment device via which the vehicle seat is coupled to the vehicle floor. The drive device thus effects an adjusting force on the seat frame in order to adapt a height position of the seat frame relative to the vehicle floor. To effect the adjusting force, the spindle, driven by the adjusting gear, can be moved, wherein the spindle is supported, for example, with one end relative to the vehicle floor and via the adjusting gear, for example relative to the frame part (which in this case is, for example, a component of the seat frame), such that an adjusting movement of the spindle can effect a change in the position of the seat frame relative to the vehicle floor.
[0004] DE 10 2007 027 410 B4 discloses an adjustment device for adjusting an adjustment part of a motor vehicle. This adjustment device is designed as a spindle drive and in which a housing of an adjustment gear is mounted on a plain bearing consisting of disc elements. During an adjustment movement of a spindle relative to the housing, the housing can pivot on the plain bearing, thus providing kinematics for height adjustment.
[0005] DE 10 2010 003 639 A1 discloses a motorized adjustment device for a motor vehicle seat with a geared motor and an adjustment gear. DE 10 2019 111 242 A1 discloses a linear actuator for adjusting a seat component of a motor vehicle seat using a spindle with a spindle head. DE 20 2004 006 273 U1 discloses an adjustment device for a motor vehicle seat with an element pivotably mounted relative to a base. DE 10 2015 223 485 A1 discloses a height adjuster for a vehicle seat.
[0006] Other designs of adjustment devices with an adjustment gear mounted on a plain bearing are known from DE 203 04 949 U1 and DE 102 50 994 A1.
[0007] The object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle seat assembly which enables kinematically favorable adjustment on a seat frame and can be designed to be lightweight and cost-effective.
[0008] This object is achieved by an article having the features of claim 1.
[0009] Accordingly, the drive device has a bearing section arranged on the housing, and the frame part has a bearing opening formed in the surface section. The bearing section is received in the bearing opening, so that the housing can be pivoted about a pivot axis relative to the frame part.
[0010] In the proposed drive device, the adjustment gear is pivotally mounted on the surface section of the frame part via the housing. For this purpose, the housing is pivotally received in a bearing opening of the surface section by means of a bearing section, so that the housing, with the adjustment gear enclosed therein, can be pivoted toward the surface section and thus toward the frame part to enable kinematic adjustment of the seat frame.
[0011] This creates a force flow for adjustment, in which adjustment forces are directly transmitted to the frame part. Because additional components for providing a separate plain bearing for the frame part are eliminated, a simple design is achieved that can be designed to be lightweight.
[0012] The frame part can be, for example, a flat side part of a seat frame of the seat frame, including a seat pan frame, or a backrest frame of the seat frame. However, the frame part can also be, for example, a kinematic part forming a surface section, for example, a rocker arm of a seat height adjustment mechanism or an attachment part forming a surface section on a guide rail of a seat length adjustment mechanism. In this respect, the frame part can be any component that is part of the seat frame as a structural component or kinematic part.
[0013] The bearing section is arranged on the housing and can, for example, be formed integrally with the housing. The housing is slidably received in the bearing opening via the bearing section, such that the housing can pivot relative to the surface section of the frame part. The pivot axis, about which the housing can be pivoted relative to the surface section, can be directed perpendicular to the adjustment direction, along which the spindle can be adjusted relative to the housing, driven by the adjustment gear. The spindle is thus supported on the frame part via the adjustment gear, wherein the housing can pivot relative to the frame part when the spindle is adjusted in order to compensate for a change in position on the drive device, for example when the seat height of the seat frame is adjusted.
[0014] In one embodiment, the bearing section forms a bearing surface extending circumferentially around the pivot axis. The bearing surface can be annular and serves for sliding contact with a border of the bearing opening, which can have a circular basic shape (viewed in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the pivot axis) to provide a sliding bearing. The bearing section thus slides over the bearing surface on a bearing border of the bearing opening, so that the adjustment gear is pivotably supported on the frame part.
[0015] In one embodiment, the bearing section has a bearing collar that protrudes radially from the bearing surface and engages the surface section. The bearing section is axially supported relative to the surface section of the frame part via the bearing collar, with the outer diameter of the bearing collar being larger than the diameter of the bearing opening. In the assembled position, the bearing collar slides against the surface section, so that the bearing section is supported in a defined axial position relative to the surface section.
[0016] In one embodiment, the drive device is axially secured in the bearing opening by a fastening element arranged on the bearing section. The fastening element can be arranged on the bearing section, for example, in the manner of a clamping ring. The fastening element is attached to the bearing section, for example, in such a way that the surface section is received between the bearing collar formed on the bearing section, which protrudes radially relative to the bearing surface, and the fastening element. The housing is thus axially secured to the frame part by the surface section being supported on both sides by the bearing section.
[0017] For assembly, the housing with the bearing section can be inserted into the bearing opening such that the bearing collar engages with the surface section. By attaching the fastening element to the bearing section on a side facing away from the bearing collar, the housing of the drive device can be secured to the frame part, so that the drive device is positioned and pivotably held on the frame part.
[0018] The frame part can be made, for example, as a sheet metal part made of a metal material. The housing of the variable speed drive, on the other hand, can be made, for example, of plastic, with the bearing section also being made of plastic and, in an advantageous embodiment, being formed integrally and in one piece with the housing.
[0019] To ensure sufficient strength for the housing, in one embodiment, the drive device can comprise a bracket element that encompasses the housing at least in sections. The bracket element has at least one leg with an opening formed therein, through which the spindle extends. The bracket element can be made, for example, of a stronger material than the housing, for example, a metal material, for example, as a stamped and bent metal part.
[0020] The bracket element can, for example, be designed and arranged on the housing in such a way that, during normal operation and under normal loading forces on the vehicle seat, the bracket element does not interact with the spindle. During normal operation, the spindle thus extends through the opening in at least one leg without there being any contact between the spindle and the leg. In the event of exceptional loading, however, such as in the event of a crash, the bracket element may deform and thus engage with the spindle, causing the bracket element to claw into the spindle and thus provide additional support for the spindle relative to the housing.Particularly in the case of exceptional loads, the bracket element can thus provide additional reinforcement and security in order to ensure that the support provided by the adjustment gear is maintained even in the case of exceptional loads.
[0021] In one embodiment, the bracket element has a base and two legs protruding from the base, which accommodate the housing of the adjustment mechanism between them. The base can, for example, be arranged on a side of the housing remote from the surface section, so that the legs extend from the base toward the surface section. An opening is formed in each leg through which the spindle extends.
[0022] In one embodiment, an end section is formed on at least one leg of the bracket element, which end section is arranged on the bearing section. The end section can, for example, lie in a recess in the region of the bearing surface of the bearing section, so that the end section adjoins the bearing surface of the bearing section circumferentially flush and, together with the bearing surface, forms an annular outer surface, via which a sliding bearing is provided in the bearing opening. Because the bracket element and thus also the end section of the at least one leg are made of a stronger material, reinforcement can be provided on the bearing section to reduce wear and improve crash safety.
[0023] If the bracket element has two legs, each leg can have an end portion which is arranged on the bearing portion and contributes to the bearing relative to the frame part.
[0024] The frame part has a counter-bearing portion that protrudes axially along the pivot axis from the surface portion of the frame part and that slidably interacts with the bearing portion of the drive device. A counter-bearing is thus formed in the area of the peripheral edge of the bearing opening, which slidably interacts with the bearing portion of the housing of the drive device, so that the drive device is slidably received in the bearing opening and pivotably mounted on the frame part.
[0025] In one embodiment, the counterbearing section can be formed by an annular collar that circumferentially surrounds the bearing opening. The annular collar protrudes axially relative to the surface section. The annular collar can be closed circumferentially, but it is also conceivable to interrupt the annular collar circumferentially at one or more locations, so that a counterbearing can be formed by individual tabs that protrude axially from the surface section.
[0026] In one embodiment, the drive device has an electric motor that serves to drive the adjustment gear and thus to introduce an adjustment force. The electric motor can, for example, be operatively connected to a spindle nut of the adjustment gear, which is in threaded engagement with the spindle such that by turning the spindle nut, the spindle is adjusted longitudinally along the adjustment direction relative to the spindle nut enclosed in the housing. To drive the spindle nut, the adjustment gear can, for example, have a drive element in the form of a drive worm, which engages with external teeth of the spindle nut via worm gearing. The spindle nut can have a thread on an inner bore that is in threaded engagement with an external thread of the spindle, so that when turned, the spindle nut rolls on the spindle and thereby adjusts the spindle longitudinally.
[0027] In one embodiment, the spindle is arranged on a first side of the frame part, while the electric motor is arranged on a second side of the frame part, facing away from the first side. The spindle on the one hand and the electric motor on the other hand are thus located on different sides of the frame part, with the electric motor being arranged in a fixed position relative to the housing of the adjustment gear, and the spindle on the side of the frame part facing away from the electric motor being adjustable by the electric motor.
[0028] As an alternative to an electric motor design of the drive device, it is also conceivable that the adjustment gear can be operated manually by manually driving the drive device.
[0029] In one embodiment, the drive device is mounted to the frame part exclusively via the bearing section on the housing. For this purpose, the bearing section is accommodated in the bearing opening of the frame part and can pivot in the bearing opening like a plain bearing.
[0030] In another embodiment, however, it is also conceivable to support the drive device relative to the frame part via a further bearing in order to improve the strength of the bearing. For this purpose, the seat frame can, for example, have a surface element which is spaced apart from the surface section of the frame part along the pivot axis and which has a further bearing opening. The further bearing opening is concentric to the pivot axis defined by the bearing opening on the surface section of the frame part, but is axially spaced apart from the bearing opening along the pivot axis, with the housing of the adjustment gear also being received in the further bearing opening and slidably mounted. The adjustment gear is thus slidably mounted via the housing at axially offset locations, thus providing increased support for the drive device relative to the frame part.
[0031] The spindle can, for example, be arranged between the surface section of the frame part and the additional surface element, so that the spindle is adjustable between the surface section of the frame part and the additional surface element. The adjustment gear is thus supported on both sides of the spindle, on the one hand by the frame part and on the other hand by the surface element, which is, for example, firmly connected to the frame part, so that force can be introduced into the seat frame on both sides of the spindle.
[0032] The assembly can, for example, form a seat height adjustment device for adjusting the seat height of the vehicle seat, wherein the drive device is designed to adjust a seat frame of the seat frame along a height adjustment direction relative to a vehicle floor. The spindle can be supported, on the one hand, via the pivotable mounting of the housing of the adjustment gear on the frame part of the seat frame and, on the other hand, via one end in an articulated manner in the region of the vehicle floor, for example on a longitudinal adjustment device for longitudinally adjusting the vehicle seat, for example on an upper rail of the longitudinal adjustment device, so that by longitudinally adjusting the spindle, an adjusting force can be generated between the vehicle floor and the seat frame for adjusting the height of the vehicle seat. However, the housing can also be pivotally mounted - in kinematic reversal - for example on a swing arm or an attachment on a guide rail of the longitudinal adjustment device.
[0033] However, an assembly with a pivotally mounted drive device can also be used in another application on a vehicle seat for adjusting a kinematic component.
[0034] The concept underlying the invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the figures. They show: Fig. 1 a view of an embodiment of an assembly with a drive device pivotally mounted on a frame part; Fig. 2 a plan view of the arrangement according to Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a side view of the assembly according to Fig. 1; Fig. 4 a side view of the assembly according to Fig. 1 in a different direction; Fig. 5 a sectional view through the assembly in cross section along a plane spanned by an axis of rotation and an adjustment direction of a spindle of the drive device; Fig. 6 a front view of the assembly; Fig. 7 a view of an embodiment of an assembly with a frame part in the form of a side part of a seat frame; Fig. 8 a rear view of the arrangement according to Fig. 7; Fig. 9 a front view of the arrangement according to Fig. 7; Fig. 10 an exploded view of the arrangement according to Fig. 9; Fig. 11 is an exploded perspective view of the arrangement according to Fig. 7 to 10; Fig. 12 the exploded view according to Fig. 11 in a different perspective; Fig. 13 is an exploded view of the drive device without a frame part; Fig. 14 is a sectional view of another embodiment of an assembly with a double-sided support of a housing of an adjusting gear of the drive device; and Fig. 15 a schematic view of a vehicle seat.
[0035] Fig. 1 to 6 show a first embodiment of an assembly comprising a drive device 1 which is mounted on a surface portion 20 of a frame part 2 so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis D.
[0036] The assembly of the embodiment according to Fig. 1 to 6 can, for example, be part of a height adjustment device 32, as shown schematically in Fig. 15 and how it serves to adjust the height of a vehicle seat 3 along a height adjustment direction H relative to a vehicle floor.
[0037] One such, in Fig. The vehicle seat 3 shown in Figure 15 has a seat part 30 and a backrest 31 pivotally connected to the seat part 30. The seat part 30 has a seat frame 300, which, together with a backrest frame 310, forms a seat frame for the vehicle seat 3 and is connected to a longitudinal adjustment device 33 via rockers of the height adjustment device 32, so that the height of the vehicle seat 3 relative to the vehicle floor can be adjusted by pivoting the rockers. A longitudinal adjustment of the vehicle seat 3 along a longitudinal direction L can be effected via the longitudinal adjustment device 33 in a manner known per se.
[0038] The seat frame 300 can, for example, have frame parts 2 in the form of side parts 301, spaced apart from one another along a transverse direction transverse to the height adjustment direction H and transverse to the longitudinal direction L, which are connected to one another, for example, via cross tubes, thus forming a seat structure for the structural strength of the vehicle seat 3. Upholstery can be arranged on the seat frame 300 to provide a seating surface for a vehicle occupant.
[0039] The drive device 1 is, in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 to 6, is designed as a spindle drive and has a spindle 10 which can be adjusted longitudinally along an adjustment direction V via an adjusting gear 11. The adjusting gear 11 has, as in Fig. 5, a spindle nut 111 which is in threaded engagement with an external thread 102 of the spindle 10 via an internal thread on an inner, central bore such that by turning the spindle nut 111 the spindle 10 can be adjusted longitudinally along the adjustment direction V relative to the spindle nut 111. The spindle nut 111 is in gear engagement with a drive element 112 in the form of a drive worm via an external toothing, which is in gear engagement with a gear element 114 arranged on a motor shaft 120 of an electric motor 12 via a gear element 113 in the form of a gearwheel, so that the spindle nut 111 can be driven by the electric motor 12 and set in a rotary movement. The adjusting gear 11 is enclosed in a housing 110.
[0040] A bearing section 13 is formed on the housing 110, which forms a circumferential bearing surface 130 for sliding support on a circumferential edge of a bearing opening 21 in the surface section 20 of the frame part 2, as can be seen in particular from Fig. 1 to 5 in conjunction with Fig. 13. The bearing surface 130 is axially limited by a bearing collar 131 projecting radially from the bearing surface 130, wherein the bearing collar 131, as can be seen from Fig. 5, in the mounted position of the drive device 1 it is in axial contact with the surface section 20 of the frame part 2 and thereby defines the axial position of the drive device 1 on the frame part 2.
[0041] As from Fig. 5 in conjunction with Fig. 13, a fastening element 15 in the form of a clamping ring is attached to the bearing section 13 on a side facing away from the bearing collar 131, so that the drive device 1 is fixed axially to the frame part 2, but can be pivoted about the pivot axis D relative to the frame part 2.
[0042] As can be seen from the Fig. 1 to 5 in conjunction with Fig. 13, a bracket element 14 is attached, which has a U-shaped configuration, with a base 141 from which legs 142 protrude on both sides. With the legs 142, the bracket element 14 encompasses the housing 110 in such a way that the base 141 lies on a side of the housing 110 facing away from the surface section 20, and the legs 142 are arranged on both sides of the housing 110 facing away from one another along the adjustment direction V.
[0043] In each leg 142 an opening 143 is formed through which the spindle 10 extends, as can be seen from Fig. 1 and Fig. 5 is evident.
[0044] End sections 140 are formed on the legs 142, which extend from the base 141 and engage in recesses 132 on the bearing section 13 in the region of the bearing surface 130. The end sections 140 are flush with the bearing surface 130 and adjoin the bearing surface 130 circumferentially, so that the end sections 140, together with the bearing surface 130, form a circumferentially closed annular surface for the sliding support of the drive device 1 in the bearing opening 21 of the surface section 20 of the frame part 2.
[0045] The housing 110 is formed, for example, from a plastic material, with the bearing portion 13 being formed integrally and in one piece with the housing 110. The bracket element 14, on the other hand, can be formed, for example, from a stronger material, for example a metal material, so that the structural strength of the drive device 1 can be increased via the bracket element 14.
[0046] In a normal operating state, the spindle 110 does not interact with the bracket element 14, but rather passes through the openings 143 on the legs 142 without touching the legs 142. However, in a state of exceptional stress, for example in the event of a crash, the bracket element 14 may deform, particularly in the event of an exceptional load on the housing 110 and a concomitant deformation of the housing 110, so that the legs 142 can claw into engagement with the external thread 102 of the spindle 10, in order to thus provide additional support to secure the position of the spindle 10 relative to the frame part 2.
[0047] The end sections 140 on the bearing section 13 also allow the strength of the bearing section 13 to be increased for sliding support in the bearing opening 21, which can improve the wear resistance and the bearing properties for a favorable sliding pairing and also the strength for a force flow in the event of a crash.
[0048] As can be seen from the sectional view according to Fig. 5, a counter bearing section 210 in the form of an axial bearing collar is formed on the peripheral edge of the bearing opening 21, which projects axially along the pivot axis D relative to the surface section 20 in order to interact slidingly with the bearing surface 130 of the bearing section 13. The frame part 2 can, for example, be formed as a sheet metal part.
[0049] The spindle 10 can be provided with an end 100, as shown schematically in Fig. 15, can be connected to an associated assembly, for example a top rail of the longitudinal adjustment device 33 when the assembly is designed as a height adjustment device 32. Driven by the electric motor 12, the spindle 10 can be adjusted longitudinally relative to the adjustment gear 11, so that the spindle 10, for example, starting from the position according to Fig. 1 to 6 with an end 101 remote from the end 100, on which an end cap 103 is arranged, can be brought closer to the adjusting gear 11 in order to change the position of the end 100 of the spindle 10 relative to the frame part 2 and thus the seat frame 300 in the schematically shown in Fig. 15 shown vehicle seat 3 to the longitudinal adjustment device 33.
[0050] It should be noted that the frame part 2 can be implemented not only by a side part 301 of the seat frame 300, but also by another structural component of the seat frame, for example a side part 311 of the backrest frame 310 or an attachment 320, 321, 322 on an (upper) guide rail of the longitudinal adjustment device 33 or on another assembly of the vehicle seat 3. In addition, the frame part 2 can also be implemented by a kinematic part of the seat frame, for example a rocker arm 321 of the height adjustment device 32. In each case, the frame part 2 forms a surface section 20 in which a bearing opening 21 is formed for supporting the adjustment gear 11, wherein the pivot axis D defined by the bearing opening 21 is directed at least approximately perpendicular to the plane of extension of the surface section 20.
[0051] In a Fig. 7 to 12, the frame part 2 is realized by a side part 301 of the seat frame 300, which is shown in a profile for use on a seat frame 300 of a vehicle seat 3. The drive device 1 corresponds to the one shown in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 to 6 describe the drive device 1, so that reference should be made in full to the preceding explanations.
[0052] Both in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 to 6 as well as in the embodiment according to Fig. 7 to 12, the spindle 10 is arranged on a first side of the frame part 2 and the electric motor 12 is arranged on a second side of the frame part 2 facing away from the first side (in the embodiment according to Fig. 7 to 12 (implemented by the side part 301). The spindle 10 and the electric motor 12 are thus located on different sides of the frame part 2, wherein, driven by the electric motor 12 and the adjustment gear 11, the spindle 10 can be adjusted longitudinally along the adjustment direction V in order to effect an adjustment force on the frame part 2. During an adjustment movement, the drive device 1 can pivot relative to the frame part 2 within the bearing opening 21, so that a change in the position of a seat frame 300 relative to a vehicle floor can be compensated.
[0053] Fig. 13 shows the drive device 1 as described above, without the Fig. Frame part 2 shown in 1 to 6.
[0054] In the embodiments according to Fig. 1 to 6, the drive device 1 is (exclusively) received in the bearing opening 21 of the frame part 2 and slidably mounted, so that the drive device 1 is pivotally supported on the surface section 20 of the frame part 2.
[0055] In a Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 14, a surface element 22 is additionally provided which extends parallel to the surface section 20 of the frame part 2 and is advantageously firmly connected to the frame part 2. The surface element 22 extends flatly parallel to the surface section 20 and forms a bearing opening 23, on the circumferential edge of which a bearing collar 230 is formed, which projects axially relative to the surface element 22 and receives the housing 110 in a bearing manner. The housing 110 has a cylindrical shape in the region of the surface element 22, so that the housing 110 can be pivoted about the pivot axis D relative to the frame part 2 and to the surface element 22, and thus an additional bearing for the drive device 1 is provided via the surface element 22.
[0056] Because the surface element 22 is axially spaced from the frame part 2 along the pivot axis D and the spindle 10 is accommodated between the frame part 2 and the surface element 22, the drive device 1 is slidably mounted on both sides of the spindle 10 and thus supported on both sides. This enables advantageous force introduction with symmetrical support for the spindle 110, which can improve the kinematics and strength of the support of the drive device 1 relative to the frame part 2.
[0057] Otherwise, the embodiment is as per Fig. 14 functionally equivalent to the embodiments according to Fig. 1 to 6 and 7 to 12, so reference should also be made to the preceding statements.
[0058] Because the drive device 1 is mounted directly on the surface section 20 of the frame part 2 via the bearing section 13, an additional bearing device for providing a plain bearing is omitted. This can reduce the weight of the vehicle seat 3 and also the costs and assembly effort. Furthermore, a favorable force flow results from the fact that adjustment forces are introduced directly into the frame part 2 and, via this, into the seat frame, for example, the seat frame 300.
[0059] The idea underlying the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, but can also be implemented in other ways.
[0060] An assembly of the type described here is not limited to use on a seat height adjustment device, but can also be used for the kinematic adjustment of other assemblies on a vehicle seat.
