AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing lighting systems for electrical appliances do not efficiently adapt their operation to the varying needs of the user, leading to unnecessary energy consumption and potential user discomfort or safety hazards.

Method used

A system that automatically adjusts the lighting mode based on the active operating status of a battery-powered electrical device, using a first battery pack to transmit status information wirelessly to a second battery pack of the lighting system, which then changes the lighting mode via a control circuit.

Benefits of technology

The system optimizes lighting according to user needs, reducing energy consumption and enhancing user comfort and safety by ensuring appropriate lighting levels are maintained without manual intervention.

Abstract

Method for automatic control of a lighting system (2) wherein - an active operating status of a battery-powered electrical device (8) is determined by means of a status circuit of a first battery pack (9) of the electrical device (8); - status information is transmitted via a first communication interface (11) of the first battery pack (9) to a second battery pack (4) of the lighting system (2) and is received via a second communication interface (7) of the second battery pack (4) when the active operating status of the electrical device (8) has been determined; - an operating mode of the lighting system (2) is automatically changed by means of a control circuit (6) of the second battery pack (4) depending on the status information; - Position information concerning the position of the electrical device (8) is transmitted from the first battery pack (9) to the lighting system (2) when the active operating status of the electrical device (8) has been detected, and the operating mode of the lighting system (2) is automatically changed depending on the position information.
