Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a coil device for receiving at least one electrical winding. The coil device is particularly suitable for use in a pole tube assembly of a solenoid valve, an actuator, or a pump.
[0002] Coil devices are known from the prior art, for example from DE 100 11 266 A1 or DE 10 2008 034 609 A1. The coil body from DE 100 11 266 A1 has a two-part sleeve, one part of which has connection contacts for a winding of an electrical coil. This part with the connection contacts is inserted into a second part along a longitudinal axis of the coil body. This has the disadvantage that it requires a large amount of space in the horizontal direction of the coil device. Furthermore, it does not provide a particularly secure connection between the parts of the two-part sleeve.
[0003] The object of the invention is to provide a coil device with high strength, which requires little space for its manufacture and which enables a mechanically and electrically secure connection of the electrical winding to the outside.
[0004] These problems are solved by a coil device for receiving at least one electrical winding. The coil device comprises a coil former and at least one winding terminal. The winding terminal has a connection section configured to hold at least one end of the electrical winding when the coil former is wound. Furthermore, the at least one winding terminal has at least one clamping section configured to be clamped between an outer surface section of the coil former and the electrical winding when wound. The outer surface section of the coil former is recessed in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the coil former. The depth of the recess preferably corresponds to the thickness of the clamping section. In other words, the mounting section advantageously fits into the recess of the outer surface section of the coil former. This results in the mounting section of the winding connection and the outer surface section of the coil former forming a common, virtually or completely seamless, and particularly smooth surface. This prevents misalignments or bumps in the electrical winding when it is wound.
[0005] The dependent claims contain preferred further developments of the invention.
[0006] By clamping the winding connection between an outer surface section of the coil former and the electrical winding, a secure mechanical connection, in particular a force-fit connection, can be provided between the winding connection and the coil former. Furthermore, this connection is established during the winding of the electrical winding onto the coil former, so no further process steps are necessary.
[0007] The coil device is preferably used in a pole tube assembly of a solenoid valve, an actuator or a pump.
[0008] Advantageously, the coil former is at least mostly cylindrical, in particular hollow cylindrical. Alternatively, the coil former is preferably a prism, for example a cuboid, in particular a square column or a cube, and is in particular a hollow prism.
[0009] Preferably, the coil former and the at least one winding connection are formed in two parts. In other words, the coil former and the at least one winding connection are separate elements that are joined together during the manufacture of the coil device. In a particular embodiment in which the coil device has a plurality of winding connections, the multiple winding connections are preferably two-part or multi-part, so that they are separate elements. In a further exemplary embodiment, the multiple winding connections are formed together in one piece, so that they together form a single element that is separate from the coil former. The multi-part design of the coil device advantageously makes it particularly easy to adapt the coil device to different applications, especially by exchanging the winding connection. On the other hand, the process steps for manufacturing the coil device can, for the most part, be maintained independently of such different applications, since only a different winding connection is used.
[0010] The connection section of the winding terminal is preferably designed to clamp at least one end, and in particular both ends, of the electrical winding. This allows the electrical winding to be fixed to the connection section while it is wound around the coil former and the mounting section of the winding terminal.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment, the fastening section has a shape corresponding to the outer surface section of the coil former. In a state assembled with the coil former, particularly in the wound state, the fastening section rests at least partially against the outer surface section of the coil former.
[0012] Preferably, the fastening section of the at least one winding connection is clamped between the outer surface section of the coil former and the electrical winding in such a way that a clamping force exerted by the electrical winding acts along a first direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the coil former. The fastening section preferably has a lower surface which faces the coil former in the first direction. Furthermore, the fastening section preferably has an upper surface which faces the wound winding along the first direction. In the special case where the coil former is cylindrical or hollow cylindrical, the aforementioned first direction is also referred to as the "radial direction".
[0013] Preferably, the lower surface of the mounting section rests at least partially against the outer surface section of the coil former. The upper surface of the mounting section preferably rests at least partially against the electrical winding when wound.
[0014] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the connecting section of the winding terminal projects from the coil former in the assembled state, especially in the wound state. The connecting section projects from the coil former, in particular, substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the coil former.
[0015] Preferably, the coil body has at least one flange, wherein the connection section of the winding connection is at least partially in contact with the flange.
[0016] Preferably, the connection section of the winding connection has a first surface which, in the assembled or wound state, runs parallel to at least one flange and at least partially abuts it.
[0017] Preferably, the connection section, in particular the first surface of the connection section, is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the coil former between the at least one flange and the electrical winding in the wound state. Preferably, the coil former has two flanges. The electrical winding is arranged or wound between the two flanges in the wound state of the coil former. The at least one winding connection, in particular all winding connections, are preferably arranged along the longitudinal direction between the two flanges.
[0018] In another preferred embodiment, the connecting section is attached to the flange by means of a groove-and-rail connection.
[0019] Preferably, the flange of the coil former has a groove, wherein the connection section of the winding terminal has a rail which is configured to fit into the groove of the flange. Alternatively or additionally, the flange of the coil former has a rail, wherein the connection section of the winding terminal has a groove into which the rail of the flange engages. Preferably, the coil assembly has a plurality of such groove-rail connections.
[0020] Preferably, the groove and the rail of the groove-rail connection run in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the coil former. This longitudinal direction is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the coil former. This allows the joining of the winding connection to the coil former to be carried out along the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, thus reducing the space required along the longitudinal direction during the manufacture of the coil assembly.
[0021] In a preferred embodiment, the flange has a cutout, wherein the connection section of the winding connection engages behind the cutout of the flange.
[0022] Preferably, the connection section of the winding terminal has an interlocking feature, which is preferably designed as a projection of the connection section that engages behind the cutout of the flange. This creates a positive-locking connection between the flange and the winding terminal.
[0023] Alternatively or additionally, a groove in the connecting section and the cutout in the flange form a groove-rail connection. Preferably, the cutout has at least one rail that engages in a groove in the connecting section. Alternatively or additionally, the cutout has at least one groove into which a rail of the connecting section engages.
[0024] Advantageously, the flange cutout lies in a plane, namely the plane of the flange, which is preferably perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the coil former. In other words, the at least one flange is preferably arranged perpendicular to the coil former and at one end (in the longitudinal direction) of the coil former. In the exemplary case where the at least one flange is circular or annular, the flange cutout is a circular sector with side surfaces that taper towards the coil former along the first direction. Alternatively, the cutout has side surfaces that extend perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and are substantially parallel to each other.
[0025] Preferably, the side surfaces of the flange cutout have the groove or rail of the respective groove-rail connection of the flange cutout.
[0026] Preferably, the flange has a plurality of cutouts, with a winding connection being inserted into each of these cutouts by means of the connection section. Furthermore, preferably each flange has at least one cutout, with a winding connection preferably being inserted into each cutout, or preferably, at least one winding connection has a plurality of connection sections, each of which is inserted into a cutout of one of the flanges.
[0027] In a particular embodiment, the at least one flange and the coil former are formed in one piece. Advantageously, the cutout of the flange merges into the recess of the outer surface section of the coil former.
[0028] In an unloaded coil device, the outer surface section of the coil former is largely cut out. The edges of this cut-out section form a bearing surface for the mounting section of the winding terminal. This is an example of the mounting section partially contacting the outer surface section, specifically at the edges of the cut-out section.
[0029] Preferably, the connection section has at least one projection designed to hold, in particular clamp, at least one end of the winding. Furthermore, the connection section preferably has at least one receptacle for a contact connection arranged in or on the projection, wherein the contact connection, when inserted into the receptacle, contacts the winding.
[0030] Advantageously, at least one end of the winding is wound around the projection, in particular such that the projection holds the end of the winding against a tensile force. The projection preferably has a structure for holding the electrical winding. Such structures are, for example, grooves or slots, hooks, in particular barbs, and / or a fork in the projection around which the electrical winding can be wound.
[0031] Alternatively or additionally, the clamping effect can be achieved by wrapping the corresponding end of the winding around the projection in a self-clamping manner. For example, the winding is first laid along a longitudinal extension of the corresponding projection and then wound around the projection and around this first laid section of the winding.
[0032] Preferably, the connecting section has two projections which extend in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the coil body and in particular form a T-shape or a cross shape.
[0033] Preferably, the connection section of the winding terminal has a body section which, in the assembled state, projects perpendicularly from the coil former or the mounting section to the longitudinal axis of the coil former. In particular, at least one projection projects perpendicularly from the body section of the connection section. Advantageously, the body section projects perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the coil former beyond the flange.
[0034] Advantageously, the contact terminal has at least one cutting edge which is designed to cut through the insulation of the winding in order to be in electrical contact with an electrical conductor of the winding.
[0035] Preferably, the contact connection has at least one welding tab for force-fit and material-fit connection of the electrical winding to the contact connection.
[0036] The coil device preferably comprises at least one contact terminal. More preferably, the coil device comprises at least one electrical winding.
[0037] Preferably, the connection section of the winding terminal has at least one terminal projection extending along the longitudinal direction of the coil former. This terminal projection extends longitudinally towards the electrical winding in the wound state and is particularly planar. Furthermore, the terminal projection is preferably wedge-shaped, thus providing a support surface for the electrical winding. This support surface serves, in particular, to support the final turn of the electrical winding around the coil former. Preferably, the connection section has two terminal projections. A possible second terminal projection is arranged such that, together with the aforementioned (first) terminal projection, it forms a channel in which the final turn of the electrical winding is supported.
[0038] Preferably, the connection section, which includes at least one fastening section, and the body section of the winding connection are formed in one piece.
[0039] Further details, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawing. It shows: Fig. 1 a perspective view of a coil device according to a first embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 2 Another perspective schematic view of the coil device according to the first embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 3 a further perspective schematic view of the coil device according to the first embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 4 a perspective schematic view of a coil device according to a second embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 5 a perspective schematic view of an unclaimed coil device, Fig. 6 a perspective schematic view of a coil device according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 7 a perspective schematic view of a coil device according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 8 a perspective schematic view of a coil device according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 9 a perspective schematic view of a coil device according to a seventh embodiment of the present invention.
[0040] The Fig. 1, Fig. 2 to Fig. Figures 3 each show a perspective view of a coil device 1 according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In particular, the Fig. 1, Fig. 2 to Fig. 3. A description of the assembly and winding process during the manufacture of the coil device 1 to explain the functionality of the coil device 1.
[0041] The Fig. Figure 1 shows an unassembled state of coil device 1. Fig. Figure 2 shows an assembled state of the coil device 1. Fig. Figure 3 shows a wound state of the coil device 1.
[0042] Again Fig. As can be seen from Figure 1, the coil device 1 has a coil former 3 and a winding terminal 4. As shown below with reference to Fig. As explained in section 3, the winding connection 4 is set up to hold an electrical winding 2 and to provide contact points for the electrical winding.
[0043] The coil former 3 is hollow cylindrical and has two flanges 14, which are arranged along a longitudinal axis 11 of the coil former 3 at opposite ends of the coil former 3. The flanges 14 are formed integrally with a cylindrical section 22 of the coil former 3.
[0044] How a comparison of Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows that the winding terminal 4 is moved along a direction 12 perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the coil former 3 in order to attach it to the coil former 3. The longitudinal direction runs parallel to the longitudinal axis 11. For this purpose, the coil former 3 and the winding terminal 4 have a common slot-rail connection 15, 16. The winding terminal 4 has slots 15 for receiving rails 16 of the coil former 3. Furthermore, the winding terminal 4 has a rail 16 which is inserted into a slot 15 of the coil former 3. The slot 15 and the rails 16 of the coil former 3 are formed as part of the flange 14. The slots 15 and the rails 16 run along direction 12 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the coil former 3.
[0045] The interlocking of the grooves 15 and the rails 16 initially loosely attaches or locks the winding connection 4 to the coil former 3. The connection section 5 partially rests against the flange 14. The connection section 5 thus has a
[0046] How a comparison of Fig. 2 and Fig. Figure 3 shows that an electrical winding 2 is then wound around the coil former 3. A fastening section 7 is used (see Figure 3). Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) between the electrical winding 2 and an outer surface section 8 (see Fig. 1) of the coil former 3 clamped. The fastening section 7 of the winding connection 4 is clamped between the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3 and the electrical winding 2 in such a way that a clamping force exerted by the electrical winding 2 acts along a radial direction 10 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 11 of the coil former 3.
[0047] The mounting section 7 has a lower surface 23 which faces the coil former 3 in the radial direction 10. Furthermore, the mounting section 7 has an upper surface 24 which faces the wound winding 2 along the radial direction 10 of the coil former 3 (see Fig. 3) is facing. The lower surface 23 of the fastening section 7 lies completely against the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3. The upper surface 24 of the fastening section 7 lies in the wound state ( Fig. 3) at the electrical winding 2.
[0048] Referring back to Fig. 1. The fastening section 7 of the winding terminal 4 has a shape corresponding to the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3. Both the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3 and the fastening section 7 of the winding terminal 4 have a curved quadrilateral shape.
[0049] The outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3 also has a recess 9. In other words, the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3 is recessed along the radial direction 10 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 11 of the coil former 3 compared to other sections or parts, in particular compared to a cylindrical section 22 of the coil former 3.
[0050] Furthermore, the mounting section 7 of the winding connection 4 has a thickness 13. The thickness 13 of the mounting section 7 essentially corresponds to the depth of the recess 9 relative to the cylindrical section 22 of the coil former 3 or the outer surface section 8. As the Fig. As can be seen from section 2, this results in a nearly or completely seamless surface formed by the mounting section 7 and the cylindrical section 22 of the coil former 3. "Seamless" here means that the mounting section 7 does not protrude from the recess 9 of the outer surface section 9 along the radial direction 10, thus forming a smooth surface. This prevents bulges or kinks from forming in the wound electrical winding 2.
[0051] How in particular the Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 3 shows that the winding terminal 4, more precisely the connection section 3 of the winding terminal 4, has two connection section projections 25, 26 projecting along the longitudinal direction 11 of the coil former 3. The connection section projections 25, 26 project in the longitudinal direction 11 towards the electrical winding 2 in the wound state and are, in particular, designed as flat surfaces.
[0052] A first connecting section projection 25 of the connecting section projections 25, 26 is wedge-shaped and thus has a support surface 27 for the electrical winding 2. The support surface 27 serves to support a first end 29 of the electrical winding 2 around the coil former 3. The first end 29 is an initial wire section, which serves to initiate the first winding of the coil former 3.
[0053] The second connection section projection 26 is arranged such that it forms a channel 28 together with the first connection section projection 25, into which the first end 29 of the electrical winding 2 is inserted ( Fig. 3).
[0054] How also the Fig. As can be seen from Figure 3, the electrical winding 2 is wound around the connection section 5. The connection section 5 of the winding connection 4 has a body section 30 which projects beyond the flange 14 in the radial direction 10.
[0055] Furthermore, the connection section 5, more precisely the body section 30 of the connection section 5, has two projections 18 which are designed to hold the ends 29, 44 of the winding 2. The electrical winding 2 is wound around the projections 18. These ends of the electrical winding 2 are wound around the projections 18, particularly before the electrical winding 2 is wound around the coil former 3, so that the winding connection 4 securely holds the electrical winding 2 while it is wound around the coil former 3. The projections 18 form, as shown in the Fig. 1, Fig. 2 to Fig. 3 shown, together with body section 30 a cross shape.
[0056] The connection section 5 also has two retaining lugs 31 around which the electrical winding 2 is wound. The retaining lugs 31 thus prevent the electrical winding 2 from slipping off the connection section 5 or off the body section 30.
[0057] The connection section 5 additionally has clamping areas 32 into which the electrical winding 2 is or can be clamped. Furthermore, the connection section 5 has two additional retaining lugs 33 which guide the electrical winding 2 to the projections 18.
[0058] After the first end 29 of the electrical winding 2 is connected to the connection section 5 as described above, in particular by wrapping the projection 18 (left in Fig. 3), is fixed, the electrical winding 2 is placed in the channel 28. The electrical winding 2 is then wound around the coil former 3. After the coil former 3 has been wound, the second end 44 of the electrical winding 2 is also wound around the connecting section 5. The second end 44 is then wound around a further projection 18 (on the right in Fig. 3) wrapped.
[0059] In Fig. Figure 3 shows only one position of the electrical winding 2 for simplified representation. This means that the coil former 3 in Fig. 3 was only wound once. However, it is understood that the coil former 3 can be wound by a large number of layers of the electrical winding 2.
[0060] Furthermore, the connection section 5 has a receptacle 19 arranged on each projection 18 for a contact connection (not shown), which is explained below. The contact connection makes contact with the electrical winding 2 in a state inserted into the receptacle 19 and thus enables a connection of the electrical winding 2.
[0061] Fig. Figure 4 shows a perspective schematic view of a coil device 1 according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
[0062] The flange 14, to which the winding connection 4 is attached, has a cutout 17. As the Fig. As can be seen from Figure 4, the cutout 17 of the flange 14 transitions into the recess 9 of the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3. In other words, the cutout 17 of the flange 14 extends in the radial direction 10 and is connected to the recess 9 which extends parallel to the longitudinal axis 11.
[0063] Furthermore, the winding terminal 4 and the coil former have two slot-rail connections 34, 35, 37. A first slot-rail connection 34, 35 is formed by a clamping hook 34 at one end (opposite the connection section 5) of the mounting section 7 and a slot 35 in the outer surface section 8 of the coil former 3. A further slot-rail connection 37 is formed by a clamping element 37 of the coil former 3, which fits into or is inserted into a recess in the winding terminal 4 corresponding to the clamping element 37 (not shown due to the perspective view).
[0064] Here, the winding connection 4 is also attached or locked to the coil former 3 in the radial direction 10. For this purpose, the winding connection 4 additionally has two recesses 36 which engage behind the flange 14 at the cutout 17 of the flange 14.
[0065] The in Fig. The second embodiment of the coil device 1, as shown in 4, is used in the same way as in Fig. 3 shown after joining the winding connection 4 with the coil body 3 wrapped with the electrical winding 2.
[0066] Although in Fig. Since only a connection section projection 25 is shown, the winding connection 4 can be used as in the Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows two connecting section projections 25, 26.
[0067] Fig. Figure 5 shows a perspective schematic view of an unclaimed coil device.
[0068] Here, the flange 14 has the cutout 17 described above. In addition, a large part of the outer surface section 8 is also recessed or cut out. The lower surface 23 of the fastening section 7 only rests against the edges of the outer surface section 8.
[0069] How also the Fig. As can be seen from Figure 5, the winding terminal 4 has no projections 18. The electrical winding 2 is placed between and guided through the guide areas 45 of the winding terminal 4.
[0070] The side surfaces 38 of the cutout 17 engage behind the connecting section projections 25, 26 of the winding connection 4 in order to secure the winding connection 4, in particular against displacement along the longitudinal axis 11. In an alternative embodiment, the side surfaces 38 of the cutout 17 can engage in grooves (not shown) of the winding connection 4.
[0071] The following will be based on the Fig. 6, Fig. 7, Fig. 8 and Fig. 9 Contact connections 20 of the coil device 1 explained.
[0072] The Fig. Figure 6 shows a perspective schematic view of a coil device 1 according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention.
[0073] The contact terminals 20 are essentially S-shaped and are designed as spring contacts.
[0074] The contact terminals 20 have cutting edges 21. To connect the electrical winding 2, for example to external control circuits, the contact terminals 20 are each inserted into one of the receptacles 19. The respective cutting edge 21 cuts through an insulating sheath of the electrical winding 2 in order to make electrical contact with an electrical conductor of the electrical winding 2.
[0075] Alternatively, the in Fig. The electrical winding 2 is merely clamped onto the contact terminals 20 shown in Figure 6, instead of the cutting edges 21. Therefore, the electrical winding 2 has no insulating sheath at the terminals 19.
[0076] Furthermore, how a comparison of the Fig. 6 with the Fig. Figure 3 shows that the end sections of the electrical winding 2, which are wound around the projections 18, can be removed after the coil body 3 has been completely wound, in particular after contacting the contact terminals 20.
[0077] The Fig. Figure 7 shows a perspective schematic view of a coil device 1 according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention.
[0078] As can be seen therein, the winding connection 4 has no cross-shaped projections 18 (see Fig. 3) on. Rather, clamping areas 32 are arranged at the ends of the winding connection 4, in which the electrical winding 2 is clamped by wrapping it around.
[0079] The contact terminals 20 are also essentially S-shaped spring contacts. The contact terminals 20 have end sections 42 which are inserted into the receptacles 19.
[0080] Furthermore, the contact terminals 20 have welding tabs 39 which contact the electrical winding 2 between the receptacle 19 and the clamping area 32. The welding tabs 39 are welded to the electrical winding 2 by a welding process. In a first step, the so-called "paint melting," the insulating sheath of the electrical winding 2 is removed or melted. In a second step, the welding tab 39 is welded to the electrical conductor of the electrical winding 2. These two steps are preferably carried out together, particularly within a short time (several nanoseconds to several microseconds).
[0081] The Fig. Figure 8 shows a perspective schematic view of a coil device 1 according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention.
[0082] Again Fig. As can be seen from Figure 8, the contact terminals 20 are also spring contacts and have a double-S shape. Furthermore, the contact terminals 20 have contact surfaces 40 and welding tabs 41, which are placed on the electrical winding 2 between the retaining lugs 31 and the clamping areas 32 of the winding terminal 4 (compare winding guide in Figure 8). Fig. 3) As described above, the welding tabs 41 are welded to the electrical winding 2.
[0083] The Fig. Figure 9 shows a perspective schematic view of a coil device 1 according to a seventh embodiment of the present invention.
[0084] Again Fig. As can be seen from Figure 9, the contact terminals 20 are essentially pin-shaped. The contact terminals 20 have end sections 42, each of which is inserted into a receptacle 19 of the winding terminal 4. Weld tabs 43 contact the electrical winding 2, covering it and being welded to it as described above.
[0085] It can be the ones in the Fig. 1, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 differently designed fastening sections 7 with the in the Fig. The differently configured connection sections 5 of the winding connection 4, 1, 4, 5 and 6 to 9, are combined. These are related to the Fig. 6, Fig. 7, Fig. 8 to Fig. The 9 described contact connections 20 can be suitably combined with each other as well as with various mounting sections 7 and / or with various winding connections 4. For example, all of the Fig. 6, Fig. 7, Fig. 8 to Fig. The 9 illustrated contact terminals have at least one cutting edge 21. The contact options, for example the end areas 42 ( Fig. 8 and Fig. 9) or the welding tabs 39, 41, 43 ( Fig. 7, Fig. 8 to Fig. 9) can be interchanged and / or combined with the various shapes (S-shape, double-S-shape, pin-shape). The welding tabs 39, 41, 43 can also be equipped with at least one cutting edge 21, in which case the paint melting step can be omitted.
[0086] The management areas 45 ( Fig. 5) and / or the clamping areas 32 (for example) Fig. 3 or Fig. 9) can be designed such that the electrical winding 2 can be clamped in them. Alternatively, they can be designed such that the electrical winding 2 is merely passed through them without any clamping effect.
