Description

The invention relates to a filter device for use with an aquarium outer filter, in particular as a suction basket.Filter and screen devices such as suction baskets for aquatic outer filters are well known in the art. The suction basket serves primarily to retain larger and coarse contaminants before they pass into an outer filter device. In order that an aquarium does not get out of balance, an aquarium filter should run smoothly. Only in this way do the bacteria convert the ammonia toxic to fish into nitrite and nitrite into nitrate, which is partly consumed by the water plants and removed by the water exchange. Since the bacteria sit on the filter material, the fine waste must get to them by the water movement of the filter. If the aquarium filter does not function correctly, because e.g. the intake basket is clogged, the bacteria become deficient and do not receive fresh oxygen, which they necessarily require for their operation. This would result in the aquarium becoming completely out of equilibrium. With the aim that an optimum flow rate is maintained in the aquarium filter, the intake basket should not be clogged by larger contaminants such as plant residues. Since many aquariums are populated with plants, the danger that the intake basket is clogged by plant residues is constantly present. Therefore, the suction basket must be cleaned regularly. In this case, the suction basket, which is normally fastened deep in the aquarium at the lower end of a filter suction tube, is removed, cleaned and then pushed on again. The known devices must be removed and fitted in the aquarium water with the hands in a complicated and disadvantageous manner. From GB 708 284 A a filter device for aquariums is known, which has a suction basket with a tube to which a handle rod is attached.DE 77 28 281 U and DE 43 05 199 A1 disclose a filter device for aquariums, which discloses a suction basket with a tube, wherein the tube is fastened to an aquarium wall. A handle bar is not provided.Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide a novel filter device which improves the disadvantages of the prior art mentioned. The object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. Further embodiments of the invention are evident from the dependent claims and the accompanying description.A filter device comprising:Connecting piece, screen, receiving device, handle rod, holding device, fixing device, handle, connection, guide and fastening device. The screen is designed like conventional suction baskets, like a screen basket suitable for coarse filtration. The dirt collects in front of the basket-like screen insert and can easily be removed from the screen basket filter during cleaning. By means of a narrow handle rod, the suction basket or a prefilter is pulled out of the aquarium water vertically with little effort and very easily, cleaned and then just as easily reinserted and attached to the filter inlet (suction pipe). The filter device is installed so that the handle of the handle bar is above the water level. The handle rod is connected to the receiving device, for example, by gluing, pressing in or by means of a threaded connection. The connector is connected to the filter inlet. The holding device is fastened to the filter inlet. The handle ensures that, in use, the hands and arms do not have to be immersed in the aquarium water. Advantageously, the handle rod and the handle consist of a non-electrically conductive material.According to one embodiment of the invention, the handle rod is multi-part and is, for example, plugged together, pressed or screwed to the required length. The lengths of the individual parts are preferably designed such that they can be used for standard aquariums and intake pipes. According to a further embodiment of the invention, a long version of the handle bar is brought to the required length.According to a further embodiment, the handle rod is variably horizontally adjustable in its position on the holding device. This ensures that the handle bar runs vertically downwards. This allows the handle bar to be attached to filter media having different diameters, such as a narrow suction basket, a prefilter with a fine mesh screen device, or to a prefilter fitted with filter foam.On the holding device, the alignment between the inlet opening of the intake pipe and the prefilter is aligned with a connecting piece (or connecting piece with or without neck), which is positioned e.g. eccentrically.According to one embodiment of the invention, the filter device has a neck piece and a guide on the connecting piece. The neck piece and the guide are designed such that the outer diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the intake pipe of a filter inlet or of a connecting piece. In order to ensure that the filter device can be easily inserted into a filter inlet, the suction opening at the suction pipe should be larger and larger. For a functional transition, a hose piece can be attached to the intake pipe, for example.According to one embodiment, the filter device comprises a fastening device which is designed such that a conventional intake basket or a prefilter can be fastened. The fastening device can be designed, for example, like a clamp, sleeve, pipe connector or the like.In a further embodiment, the filter device has a check valve.Compared to the prior art, the filter device according to the invention has the advantage that nearby decorative articles such as stones, roots or plants do not have to be removed; because in the other case one does not get to the suction basket with the hands in order to remove it or to remount it.It is particularly advantageous here that for the cleaning of the intake basket, the hands and arms do not have to be immersed in the aquarium water. Thus, the hands and arms remain dry.A further particular advantage is that the filter device can be removed from the aquarium quite easily with only one hand. This simplification allows the user to increase the interval of prefilter cleaning. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to preferred exemplary embodiments. The drawings show FIG. 1 shows a simple side view with the receiving device on the screen; FIG. 2 shows a simple side view, partially cut away, of FIG. 1 ; FIG. 3 shows a simple side view with the receiving device on the connecting piece; FIG. 4 shows a simple perspective illustration; FIG. 5 is a simple side view with a conventional intake basket; FIG. 6 is a simple side view with a prefilter.Reference is made to the drawings in the following. FIGS. 1 and 2 show a filter device 1 according to an embodiment, wherein the handle rod 5 is fastened to the screen 3 aby means of a receiving device 4. The handle rod 5 can be screwed, pressed or glued into the receiving device 4, for example. The receiving device 4 is fastened to the screen 3 aor integrated component is fastened to the screen 3 a. The neck piece 13 aof the connecting piece 2 ahas a connection opening which is designed such that it can be plugged onto the filter inlet 9. The half piece 13a is designed in each case such that the hoses and tubes used in aquaristics can be used with their common inner and / or outer diameters, such as 12, 16 and 19 mm. The filter inlet 9 can be an intake pipe of an aquarium outer filter. The fastening of the connection from the connecting piece 2 ato the filter inlet 9 can be, for example, a plugged-on press connection. The connecting piece 2a has a further connection opening which is designed such that the screen 3a can be inserted into the connection opening. The connection 10a is designed such that the conical shape of the connection surface of the screen 3a represents a guide and can thus be inserted more easily into the connection opening of the connecting piece 2a. In addition, the surface of the cone provides sufficient sealing to the connector 2a. The holding device 6 is fastened to the filter inlet 9 by the fastening device 14 ain the upper region. The filter device 1 is fastened to the fastening device 14 bby means of the handle rod 5. In this case, the fastening device 14 bmay have, for example, a matching slot groove with clamping force, in which a handle rod 5 can be clamped. Advantageously, the fastening device 14 bhas a longer slot groove. It is thus possible to align the filter device 1 along the slot groove in such a way that different suction baskets or prefilters can be used. With the fixing device 7, the filter device 1 is adjusted to the required installation height and fixed. The screen 3a now partially sits in and at the connection opening of the connecting piece 2a, wherein the connection 10a sufficiently seals the connection opening. To uninstall the filter device 1, the user holds the handle 8 firmly with only two fingers and pivots the handle rod 5 slightly out of the fastening device 14b. The filter device 1 is now lowered somewhat, whereby the handle 8 can still remain above the water surface. The sieve 3a is now moved away from the filter inlet 9 or connecting piece 2a and the filter device 1 can be removed upward from the aquarium water. In order to install the filter device 1, the handle rod 5 with the screen 3a is immersed in the aquarium parallel to the filter inlet 9. When the connector 10a of the screen 3a is located below the connector opening of the connector 2a, the connector 10a is pivoted in alignment with the connector 2a and the filter device 1 is lifted upward by means of the handle 8. Now the handle rod 5 is moved into the fastening device 14 b.In the case of a rigid holding device 6, the fixing device 7 is first released in order to facilitate the mounting and removal of the filter device 1. The fixing device 7 can be, for example, a simple clamping device such as a clamp. In the case of an elastic holding device 6, the filter device 1 can be pivoted directly into the fastening device 14 bwithout releasing the fixing device 7 beforehand.FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of the invention. In the example shown, the filter device 1 is installed directly without any connecting piece on the filter inlet 9, here shown as a filter suction pipe. The connecting piece 2b has the screen 3b and a non-return valve 12. In addition, the connecting piece 2 bincludes the connector 10 b, the neck piece 13 band the guide 11. The neck 13b is designed to be smoothly inserted into a filter suction pipe or the like. The guide 11 is, for example, as shown here, a tip of three struts. The guide 11 ensures that the filter device 1 can be attached to and installed at the suction opening of the filter suction pipe even when it is slightly inclined. The conical connection 10b ensures that the connection between the connecting piece 2b and the filter suction tube is sufficiently functionally sealed.FIG. 4 shows the filter device 1 in a perspective illustration, which in turn illustrates the application and the sequence of installation. The filter device 1 has a suction basket in this example. In the illustration, the W and the associated arrows indicate the path (direction of movement) for installation.Installation steps: 1. filter device 1 downwards, 2. filter device 1 laterally, 3. filter device 1 upwards, 4. handle 8 laterally. The filter device 1 can be held by the user on the handle 8 with only two fingers. The suction basket shown here is then immersed in the aquarium vertically and past available decorations. The filter device 1 is now moved to the filter inlet 9. The suction basket remains beneath the inlet opening of the filter inlet 9 until, for example, the guide tip shown here can be placed into the filter inlet 9. The filter device 1 is now lifted upward until there is a connection to the filter inlet 9. Finally, the handle 8 is moved into the fastening device of the holding device 6. By means of the fixing device 7, the height of the terminal can be adjusted and adjusted.FIGS. 5 and 6 show the filter device 1 in further embodiments, wherein, as shown in FIG. 5, the fastening device 14 cis designed such that a conventional suction basket 16 a, consisting of screen 16 c, connecting piece 16 band neck piece 13 c, can be attached to it.Since prefilters have a larger diameter by their construction, as shown in FIG. 6, the fixing device 14 cis configured to be attached to a prefilter 17.In both variants, the fastening device 14 cmay be, for example, a clamp or a collar which is installed on the receiving device 4.The connection to the filter inlet 9 is in both variants a connecting piece 15 which can be, for example, a matching piece of hose, pipe or fitting. For ease of installation, the inside diameter of the fitting 15 should be larger than the outside diameter of the neck 13c or 13d.List of reference characters1 Filter device 2 aConnect piece 2 bConnect piece 3 aScreen 3 bScreen 4 Receiving device 5 Handle rod 6 Holding device 7 Fixing device 8 Handle 9 Filter inlet 10 aConnection 10 bConnection 11 Guide 12 Nonreturn valve 13 a Hals 13 b Hals 13 c Hals 13 d Hals 14 a 14 b 14 c 15Connection 16 a Ansaug basket 16 bConnection 16 cScreen 17 Prefilter
