Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a cleaning device for cleaning a surface, in particular a floor surface, comprising a drive device, a drive shaft which can be driven by the drive device to rotate about a rotational axis, at least one cleaning roller which can be connected to the drive shaft in a rotationally fixed and detachable manner, and a fixing device for axially fixing the cleaning roller to the drive shaft, wherein the cleaning roller has a roller body with a roller recess extending in the axial direction and a torque transmission element which adjoins the roller recess in the axial direction and through which the drive shaft passes, forming a rotationally fixed connection, and wherein the fixing device can be inserted into the roller recess and axially fixed to the drive shaft, wherein a stop element of the fixing device comes into contact with a stop surface of the roller body facing away from the torque transmission member.
[0002] Such cleaning devices are used in particular for cleaning floor surfaces both indoors and outdoors. They comprise a drive device, for example, an electric motor, which rotates a drive shaft about a rotational axis. At least one cleaning roller is connected to the drive shaft in a rotationally fixed and detachable manner. The cleaning roller can be designed, for example, in the form of a brush roller with a bristle coating on its outer surface formed by a plurality of cleaning bristles. Alternatively, the cleaning roller can have a cleaning coating, for example, a cleaning fleece or a cleaning fabric.
[0003] The cleaning roller has a roller body with a roller recess extending axially relative to the rotational axis of the drive shaft and with a torque transmission element adjoining the roller recess in the axial direction, through which the drive shaft passes, forming a rotationally fixed connection. Torque can be transmitted from the drive shaft to the roller body via the torque transmission element. For axial fixing of the cleaning roller to the drive shaft, a fixing device can be inserted into the axial roller recess and fixed axially to the drive shaft, with a stop element of the fixing device coming into contact with a stop surface of the roller body facing away from the torque transmission element. This ensures that the cleaning roller cannot inadvertently become detached from the drive shaft.
[0004] A cleaning device of the type mentioned above is known from DE 10 2021 128 035 A1. In this cleaning device, the fixing device can be screwed to the drive shaft. However, depending on the direction of rotation of the cleaning roller, a right-hand or left-hand thread is required to screw the fixing device. This makes handling the cleaning device more difficult when replacing a cleaning roller, especially in cases where the cleaning device has at least two cleaning rollers whose rotation directions are opposite to each other.
[0005] The object of the present invention is therefore to further develop a cleaning device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it is easier to handle when replacing a cleaning roller.
[0006] This object is achieved according to the invention in a cleaning device of the generic type in that the fixing device has a guide body in which a rotating body is held so as to be rotatable about the axis of rotation of the drive shaft and axially immovable, wherein the rotating body has at least one holding arm which cooperates with a guide member of the guide body and can be moved back and forth between a locking position and a release position by rotation of the rotating body relative to the guide body, and which has a locking element which, in the locking position of the holding arm, dips into a recess in the drive shaft and, in the release position of the holding arm, is spaced from the recess.
[0007] To fix the at least one cleaning roller to the drive shaft, the cleaning device according to the invention uses a fixing device comprising a guide body and a rotating body. The rotating body is rotatable in the guide body about the axis of rotation of the drive shaft and held immovably in the axial direction and has at least one holding arm with a locking element. The holding arm interacts with a guide member of the guide body such that it can be moved back and forth between a locking position and a release position upon rotation of the rotating body. In the locking position, the locking element of the holding arm engages a recess in the drive shaft, and in the release position of the holding arm, the locking element releases the recess. In the locking position of the holding arm, the fixing device is held immobile on the drive shaft in the axial direction, and in the release position of the holding arm, the fixing device can be moved axially relative to the drive shaft. This allows the cleaning roller to be separated from the drive shaft together with the fixing device, provided that the at least one holding arm assumes its release position. In contrast, the cleaning roller is fixed to the drive shaft together with the fixing device in the axial direction when the holding arm assumes its locking position.
[0008] To move the at least one holding arm from the locking position to the release position, it is merely necessary to rotate the rotating body relative to the guide body in a first direction of rotation, preferably by 90°, and to move the at least one holding arm from the release position to the locking position, it is merely necessary to rotate the rotating body relative to the guide body counter to the first direction of rotation. The direction of rotation of the rotating body is independent of the direction of rotation assumed by the cleaning roller during operation of the cleaning device. This makes it easier for the user to handle the cleaning device when replacing the cleaning roller, since they do not have to pay attention to the direction of rotation of the cleaning roller that prevails during operation of the cleaning device when replacing the cleaning roller.
[0009] It is advantageous if the drive shaft recess forms an annular groove extending in the circumferential direction of the drive shaft. This allows at least one retaining arm to be inserted into the recess and moved out of the recess as needed, regardless of the current rotational position of the drive shaft.
[0010] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating body has a user-graspable handling section, with the at least one holding arm adjoining the handling section and carrying the locking element at its end facing away from the handling section. This facilitates the structural design of the rotating body.
[0011] It is advantageous if the at least one holding arm is rigidly connected to the handling section, in particular in one piece, and is flexibly deformable. This flexurally elastic deformability allows the locking element of the holding arm to be moved back and forth between the locking position and the release position in a structurally simple manner.
[0012] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the handling section forms a rotary knob that can be grasped by the user. This makes it easier for the user to rotate the rotating body relative to the guide body about the rotational axis of the drive shaft.
[0013] The locking element of the at least one holding arm is preferably designed in a hook-like manner. This facilitates the insertion of the holding arm into the recess of the drive shaft.
[0014] It is particularly advantageous if the rotating body has at least two retaining arms diametrically opposed to each other with respect to the rotational axis of the drive shaft. The two retaining arms can be inserted into the recess of the drive shaft on opposite sides, thereby securing the fixing device to the drive shaft in the axial direction with high mechanical strength.
[0015] It is particularly advantageous if the two holding arms carry out a spreading movement by a rotational movement of the rotating body relative to the guide body, so that they can be spread apart with their end regions facing the drive shaft in order to accommodate the recess of the drive shaft between them.
[0016] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the guide member of the guide body has a number of guide slots arranged offset to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft, corresponding to the number of holding arms, each guide slotted guide slot through which a holding arm extends and which has a first guide section and a second guide section, wherein the first guide section is at a smaller distance from the axis of rotation of the locking shaft than the second guide section, and wherein the holding arm extending through the respective guide slotted guide slot can be moved back and forth between the first guide section and the second guide section by rotation of the rotating body relative to the guide body. In such an embodiment of the invention, each holding arm of the rotating body is assigned a guide slot in the form of an opening through which the holding arm extends. The guide slot has guide sections at different distances from the drive shaft's rotational axis. If the rotating body is rotated relative to the guide body about the drive shaft's rotational axis, the holding arm executes a movement with a radial directional component relative to the drive shaft's rotational axis. This results in the locking element of the holding arm being positioned at a greater or lesser distance from the drive shaft's rotational axis, depending on the rotating body's direction of rotation. The locking element therefore moves into or out of the drive shaft's recess, depending on the rotating body's direction of rotation.
[0017] In a particularly simple design of the invention, the guide member is plate-shaped. It thus forms a guide plate with at least one guide slot in the form of a guide opening through which a holding arm extends.
[0018] The at least one guide slot is advantageously hook-shaped. A first guide section of the guide slot can form a first end region of the guide slot and transition into a second guide section via an arcuate intermediate section, wherein the first guide section is spaced closer to the rotational axis of the drive shaft than the second guide section.
[0019] In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the guide body can only be rotated to a limited extent relative to the roller body about the rotational axis of the drive shaft. This ensures that a rotational movement of the rotating body relative to the guide body results in at most a limited rotational movement of the guide body relative to the roller body.
[0020] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the roller body has a hollow cylindrical base body that surrounds the torque transmission member in the circumferential direction, wherein the torque transmission member is connected to the base body via a plurality of retaining ribs arranged at a distance from one another in the circumferential direction, and wherein the guide body has, on its end facing the torque transmission member, a plurality of axially aligned projections, each of which extends into a space between two retaining ribs arranged successively in the circumferential direction. In such a configuration, the torque transmission member is connected to a base body of the roller body via a plurality of retaining ribs arranged at a distance from one another in the circumferential direction. The base body can, for example, carry bristles on its outer side or a cleaning coating, for example a cleaning fleece or a cleaning fabric.Intermediate spaces are arranged between the retaining ribs, which follow one another in the circumferential direction. A projection, located on an end of the guide body facing the torque transmission element, extends into each of these intermediate spaces. This ensures that the guide body cannot rotate freely relative to the roller body about the rotational axis of the drive shaft. The projections of the guide body can be accommodated by the intermediate spaces with some play, allowing a limited rotational movement of the guide body relative to the roller body. However, the projections can also form a positive connection with the intermediate spaces, completely preventing any rotational movement of the guide body relative to the roller body.
[0021] It is advantageous if the fixing device can be subjected to a spring-elastic restoring force in the axial direction when inserted into the axial roller recess. This has the advantage that the fixing device can be moved in the axial direction under the effect of the spring-elastic restoring force, provided the fixing device is not axially fixed to the drive shaft. The fixing device can thus be moved in the direction away from the torque transmission element, provided the fixing device is not fixed to the drive shaft. This can be easily recognized by the user, who is thereby signaled that the cleaning roller is not securely fixed to the drive shaft. Secondly, the use of the spring-elastic restoring force makes replacing the cleaning roller easier.
[0022] It is advantageous if the fixing device has a spring element that, when the fixing device is inserted into the roller recess, comes into contact with the torque transmission member and applies a spring-elastic restoring force to the guide body. For example, it can be provided that the spring element is clamped between the guide body and the torque transmission member when the fixing device is inserted into the roller recess.
[0023] It is advantageous if mutually associated rotary guide elements are arranged on the guide body and the rotating body to guide the rotating body during a rotary movement relative to the guide body. The rotary guide elements can also be used to limit the rotary movement of the rotating body.
[0024] The rotary guide elements can, for example, form at least one guide slot and an associated guide pin that extends into the guide slot. The guide slot can extend circumferentially, for example, over an angular range of 90° relative to the rotational axis of the drive shaft.
[0025] Preferably, the at least one guide slot is arranged on the guide body and the guide pin is arranged on the rotating body.
[0026] The following description of an advantageous embodiment of the invention serves to explain it in more detail in conjunction with the drawings. They show: Fig. 1: a perspective view of a cleaning device; Fig. 2: a front view of the cleaning device from Fig. 1; Fig. 3: a sectional view of the cleaning device along the line 3-3 in Fig. 2, wherein a ceiling wall of a cleaning head of the cleaning device is hidden; Fig. 4: a partial sectional view of the cleaning device along the line 4-4, wherein a cleaning roller is fixed in the axial direction to a drive shaft; Fig. 5: a sectional view of the cleaning device along the line 5-5 in Fig. 3, wherein the cleaning roller is movable in the axial direction; Fig. 6: a first perspective view of a fixing device of the cleaning device from Fig. 1; Fig. 7: a rear view of the fixation device from Fig. 6; Fig. 8: a second perspective view of the fixation device from Fig. 6.
[0027] The drawing schematically illustrates an advantageous embodiment of a cleaning device according to the invention by way of example and is designated overall by the reference numeral 10. In this embodiment, the cleaning device 10 forms a hand-held floor cleaning device 12 that can be manually guided by the user along a floor surface 14 to be cleaned in order to clean the floor surface. The floor cleaning device 12 can be moved back and forth in a feed direction 16 and counter to the feed direction 16. However, the invention is not limited to a hand-held floor cleaning device but is defined by the features of claim 1.
[0028] The cleaning device 10 has a cleaning head 18 with a housing 20, which has a front side 22, a rear side opposite the front side 22, a first longitudinal side 26 and a second longitudinal side 28 opposite the first longitudinal side 26, and a top side 29. The top side 29 is defined by a top wall 27 of the housing 20, which in Fig. 3 is hidden.
[0029] A stem 30 is pivotably held on the housing 20 by means of a joint 32 about a pivot axis 34.
[0030] An operating unit 36 is arranged at the end of the handle 30 facing away from the cleaning head 18. The operating unit 36 has a handle 38 in the manner of a pistol grip, which the user can grasp with one hand. A connecting element 40 is arranged on the operating unit 36 and is connected to two spray nozzles arranged on the front 22 of the housing 20 via a liquid line (not shown in the drawing). The liquid line is guided through the handle 30. A water hose (not shown in the drawing for the sake of clarity) can be connected to the connecting element 40. Water can be supplied to the cleaning device via the water hose from a water supply network or from a pump, which can be applied to the floor surface 14 to be cleaned via the spray nozzles 42, 44.
[0031] In addition to the handle 38, the operating unit 36 has a mains plug 46 which can be connected to a supply cable to supply power to the cleaning device 10 and via which an electrical cable 48, which is largely guided through the handle 30, is connected to the cleaning head 18.
[0032] The housing 20 of the cleaning head 18 accommodates a drive device 50, which in the illustrated embodiment is designed as an electric motor, which is electrically connected to the power plug 46 via the electrical cable 48 to supply electrical power. To turn the drive device 50 on and off, an electrical switch with a switching lever 52 is arranged on the handle 38 of the control unit 36, which can be operated by the user.
[0033] The housing 20 covers a front cleaning roller unit 54 located directly adjacent to the front side 22 and a rear cleaning roller unit 56 located directly adjacent to the rear side 24. The two cleaning roller units 54, 56 are identically designed. In the illustrated embodiment, the two cleaning roller units 54, 56 each form a brush roller unit.
[0034] The two cleaning roller units 54, 56 each have two cleaning rollers 58, 60 arranged in alignment with one another, which are rotationally fixed and releasably connected to a drive shaft 62. The drive shaft 62 is coupled to the drive device 50 via gear elements 64 and can be rotated by the drive device about a rotation axis 66.
[0035] The cleaning rollers 58, 60 are identically constructed. Therefore, only the cleaning roller 58 will be described in more detail below. The corresponding explanations also apply to the cleaning roller 60.
[0036] The cleaning roller 58 has a roller body 68 comprising a hollow cylindrical base body 70 and a torque transmission member 72 circumferentially surrounded by the base body 70. In a region upstream of the torque transmission member 72, the base body 70 forms an axial roller recess 74, which extends from the torque transmission member 72 to an end face 76 of the roller body 68 facing away from the torque transmission member 72.
[0037] The torque transmission member 72 is integrally connected to the base body 70 via a plurality of radially aligned retaining ribs 78, which are evenly distributed over the circumference of the torque transmission member 72. Between each immediately adjacent retaining rib 78, there is a space 80 which is bounded in the radial direction by the torque transmission member 72 on the one hand and by the base body 70 on the other.
[0038] The torque transmission member 72 is designed as a hollow body and is penetrated by the drive shaft 62, which forms a positive connection with the torque transmission member 72 and has a flattened portion 82 on each of its opposite sides. This allows torque to be transmitted from the drive shaft 62 to the roller body 68.
[0039] The drive shaft 62 projects out of the torque transmission member 72 in the direction of the end face 76 and has, in its projecting region, a recess 84 in the form of an annular groove 86 extending over the circumference of the drive shaft 62.
[0040] The cleaning roller 58 can be mounted on the drive shaft 62 in a rotationally fixed manner in the axial direction relative to the rotation axis 66 and can be axially fixed to the drive shaft 62 by means of a fixing device 88.
[0041] As can be seen in particular from the Fig. 4 to 8, the fixing device 88 has a guide body 90 and a rotary body 92 which is held in the guide body 90 so as to be rotatable about the rotation axis 66 and axially immovable.
[0042] The guide body 90 has a guide sleeve 94, which, at its end facing away from the torque transmission member 72, carries an annular flange 96 protruding from the roller recess 74, which forms a stop element 98 that can be placed in the axial direction against the end face 76 of the roller body 68. For this purpose, the end face 76 forms a stop surface 100 associated with the stop element 98.
[0043] At a distance from the annular flange 96, a plate-shaped guide member 102 is arranged in the guide sleeve 94, which forms a link plate and is arranged perpendicular to the axis of rotation 66 of the drive shaft 62.
[0044] As is particularly evident from Fig. As is clear from Figure 7, the guide member 102 has two guide slots 104, 106 arranged offset from the rotational axis 66 in the form of guide openings, which are essentially hook-shaped and diametrically opposed to one another. The guide slots 104, 106 each have a first guide section 108 or 110, which transitions into a second guide section 116, 118 via an arcuate intermediate section 112 or 114, wherein the first guide section 108, 110 is spaced further from the rotational axis 66 than the second guide section 116, 118.
[0045] On its end 120 facing the torque transmission member 72, the guide sleeve 94 has a plurality of projections 122 arranged at equal distances from one another in the circumferential direction and extending in the axial direction. On the side of the guide member 102 facing away from the projections 122, the guide sleeve 94 has two opposing guide slots 124, 126, each extending circumferentially over an angular range of approximately 90°.
[0046] The guide sleeve 94 surrounds the rotating body 92, which is held in the guide sleeve 94 so as to be rotatable about the rotation axis 66 and immovable in the axial direction. The rotating body 92 has a handling section 128 forming a rotary knob 130, which can be gripped by the user to rotate the rotating body 92. Two diametrically opposed holding arms 132, 134 are connected to the rotary knob 130 in one piece and are designed to be flexible. The holding arms 132, 134 each extend through a guide slot 104 or 106 and have a hook-like locking element 136 or 138 at their end facing away from the rotary knob 130.
[0047] To guide the rotating body 92 in the direction of rotation, the rotating body 92 has two diametrically opposed and radially outward-pointing guide pins 140, 142, each of which engages in a guide slot 124, 126.
[0048] The fixing device 88 can be inserted into the roller recess 74, with the annular flange 96 coming into contact with the stop surface 100 of the end face 76 of the roller body 68. Upon insertion into the roller recess 74, the projections arranged on the end face 120 of the guide sleeve 94 each engage one of the gaps 80. This ensures that the fixing device 88 can only be rotated to a limited extent in the circumferential direction.
[0049] By rotating the rotating body 92 about the rotational axis 66 of the drive shaft 62, the holding arms 132, 134 can be moved back and forth between a locking position and a release position under the action of the guide slots 104, 106. In the locking position, the holding arms 132, 134 each assume a position in the first guide section 108 or 110 of the respective guide slot 104, 106, so that the respective locking elements 136, 138 engage the annular groove 86 of the drive shaft 62, thereby securing the fixing device 88 together with the cleaning roller 58 in the axial direction to the drive shaft 62. By rotating the rotating body 92 by 90° about the rotation axis 66, the holding arms 132, 134 are moved into the respective second guide section 116, 118 of the guide slots 104, 106.This results in the elastically deformable holding arms 132, 134 being spread apart due to the greater distance between the second guide sections 116, 118 and the rotation axis 66, so that the locking elements 136, 138 are spaced apart from the annular groove 86. This is particularly evident from . Fig. 5. This allows the fixing device 88, together with the cleaning roller 58, to be removed from the drive shaft 62.
[0050] On the side of the guide member 102 facing away from the guide slots 124, 126, the guide sleeve 94 surrounds a spring element 144, which in the illustrated embodiment is designed as a helical spring and is clamped between the guide member 102 and the torque transmission member 72 when the fixing device 88 is inserted into the roller recess 74. The fixing device 88 is thus inserted into the roller recess 74 counteracting the spring-elastic restoring force exerted by the spring element 144. If the user releases the rotating body 92 after inserting the fixing device 88 into the roller recess 74, the fixing device 88 is displaced counter to the insertion direction under the action of the spring-elastic restoring force of the spring element 144, provided the holding arms 132, 134 assume their release position instead of their locking position. The movement of the fixing device 88 opposite to the insertion direction signals to the user that the cleaning roller 58 is not fixed to the drive shaft 62 in the axial direction.
[0051] The cleaning device 10 is characterized by its easy handling when replacing a cleaning roller 58, 60, because to replace a cleaning roller 58, 60 it is only necessary to rotate the rotating body 92 relative to the guide body 90 about the rotation axis 66 until the holding arms 132, 134 assume their release position, so that the cleaning roller 58, 60 can then be separated from the drive shaft 62. If the cleaning roller 58, 60 is to be mounted on the drive shaft 62, the cleaning roller 58, 60 can be placed in the axial direction on the drive shaft 62, and for the axial fixing of the cleaning roller 58, 60 it is only necessary for the user to rotate the rotating body 92 relative to the guide body 90 until the locking elements 136, 138 of the holding arms 132, 134 return to their locking position in which they are inserted into the annular groove 86 of the drive shaft 62.
