Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for operating a drive arrangement of an electric bicycle, comprising the steps of controlled actuation of a motor of the drive arrangement to generate a predetermined test torque, determining an engagement state of a drive train of the electric bicycle, detecting a rotary movement of the motor, and recognizing a starting process in response to the determination of the engagement state and when the detected rotary movement is at least equal to a predetermined starting rotary movement.
