Abstract

A charging input comprises: a charging input main body configured for installation in a vehicle, having a tubular hood, the hood being configured to fit a connected end of a charging connector therein to connect the connected end to the charging input main body, so that power is supplied from the charging connector to the charging input main body; a locking mechanism having a pin element, wherein, when the charging connector is connected to the charging input main body, the locking mechanism is configured to insert a pointed end of the pin element into the interior of the hood to cause the pointed end to engage in a locking recess in an outer surface of the connected end of the charging connector, thus restricting removal of the charging connector during a charging operation; and a pin heating section configured to heat the pin element.
