Snap-in holding system

Abstract

A fastening arrangement comprises a first component that defines a passage and a second component that can be received within the passage. One of the first components and one of the second components include at least one elastic retaining element, and the other includes at least one engagement feature. The elastic retaining element is configured to deflect when the second component is inserted into the passage and engages with the engagement feature to hold the second component relative to the first component. The retaining interface provides secure axial retention while simultaneously allowing removal upon application of a predetermined pull-out force.
