AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing slide fasteners with removable sliders face issues in recycling as the metal components cannot be recycled with resin fastener tapes, and existing designs require complex disassembly or are open when the slider is removed.

Method used

A slide fastener design with resin-based filament members and upper stoppers that allow the slider to be pulled out while the fastener tapes are closed, featuring a first upper stopper that does not allow the slider to pass through and a second upper stopper that does, facilitating easy disassembly without metal components.

Benefits of technology

Enables quick removal of the slider while the fastener tapes remain closed, allowing for recycling of the entire fastener assembly with resin components, thus promoting sustainable garment recycling.

Abstract

[Problem] To provide a slide fastener in which a slider can be quickly pulled out while a pair of zipper tapes are closed, and a top stopper used in the slide fastener.[Solution] In a slide fastener 1, a first top stopper 41 is attached so as to be able to approach and separate from a front end portion 311 which is the most forward on the front side F in a first wire member and has a shape that cannot pass through a slider 7, and a second top stopper 42 is attached so as to cover a front end part 321 which is the most forward on the front side F in a second wire member 32 and has a shape that can pass through the slider 7.
