BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0019] One or more embodiments of the present disclosure will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a schematic top view of a vehicle inspection system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 2 shows a schematic top view of a vehicle inspection system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

[0020] In the following exemplary embodiments, the terms "first," "second," etc., are used to distinguish different components, not to indicate an order or priority. Terms used in the description, such as "top" and "bottom," do not refer to absolute orientations, but rather to relative positions between the components.

[0021] As in Fig. 1, shows Fig. 1 A top view of a vehicle inspection system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The vehicle inspection system defines an inspection channel through which a vehicle to be inspected passes for inspection. In this embodiment, the vehicle inspection system comprises a first vertical planar laser inspection device LV. The first vertical planar laser inspection device LV is arranged on a first side of the inspection channel, which is Fig. 1 is located on the lower side of the inspection channel and is configured to emit a first vertical planar laser beam and reflect laser signals in a vertical plane perpendicular to the direction of extension of the inspection channel (in Fig. 1 perpendicular upwards to the plane of the paper) to receive an outer outline of the vehicle in the vertical plane.

[0022] A vertical planar laser beam refers to a laser beam with a planar shape, such as a fan-shaped beam with a specific angle, where each emission angle corresponds to a laser beam that cuts laterally through the inspection channel in the vertical plane. When the vehicle passes through the first vertical planar laser beam, each part of the vehicle reflects a portion of the first vertical planar laser beam (e.g.,a laser point), and the first vertical planar laser inspection device (LV) receives the laser reflected from the respective vehicle part and calculates the time from the emission of a laser beam for each emission angle until the reflection from a corresponding vehicle part. This allows the device to determine the distance between the reflecting vehicle part and the first vertical planar laser inspection device (LV) for each reflection angle and thus reconstruct the outer outline of the vehicle reflecting the vertical planar laser beam at that moment in the vertical plane. If the vehicle continuously crosses the first vertical planar laser beam, the first vertical planar laser inspection device (LV) can reconstruct the outer outline of the vehicle. For example, the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV can compare the constructed outer outline of the vehicle with stored existing vehicle outer outlines to obtain information about the vehicle, such as vehicle type, external vehicle dimensions, driver's cab dimensions, and cargo space dimensions. In particular, a boundary between a driver's area (driver's cab) and an undriver's area (cargo space) of the vehicle can be determined. It should be noted that in other embodiments, the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV is located on the other side of the inspection channel, i.e., on the upper side of the [unclear - possibly "in" or "in"]. Fig. 1 shown inspection channel, may be arranged.

[0023] The vehicle inspection system further comprises a first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1, arranged on a second side of the inspection channel, which is opposite the first side of the inspection channel and in Fig. The first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 is located at the top of the inspection channel. It is configured to emit a first horizontal planar laser beam in a horizontal direction and to receive reflected laser signals in the direction of extension of the inspection channel in order to inspect the position and speed of the vehicle body. Additionally, the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 can also be located at the front of the inspection channel.

[0024] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, in the direction of extension of the inspection channel, the first horizontal plane laser inspection device LH1 is arranged on the right side of the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV. When the vehicle moves from left to right, after the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV has inspected the vehicle's outer outline, the first horizontal plane laser inspection device LH1 can continue to inspect the position and speed of the vehicle body. This is advantageous because it allows the vehicle's position to be continuously monitored.

[0025] It should be noted that this is only one arrangement. In other embodiments, the first horizontal plane laser inspection device LH1 can be arranged on the left side of the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV. In this case, the vehicle moves from right to left.

[0026] Fig. Figure 1 schematically shows a first horizontal planar laser beam emitted by the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1. The first horizontal planar laser beam may have a planar shape, for example, a fan-shaped beam with a specific angle, where each emission angle corresponds to a laser beam covering the inspection channel in a horizontal plane parallel to the inspection channel. As the vehicle passes through the first horizontal planar laser beam, each part of the vehicle reflects a portion of the first horizontal planar laser beam (e.g.,a laser point), and the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 receives the laser reflected from the respective part of the vehicle and calculates the time from the emission of a laser beam for each emission angle until the reflection from a corresponding vehicle part in order to obtain a distance between the reflecting vehicle part for each reflection angle and the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1, thereby determining the position and velocity of each vehicle part reflecting the first horizontal planar laser beam at that time. It is also possible to calculate the outer outline of the vehicle in the horizontal plane. When the vehicle is moving and reflects the first horizontal planar laser beam, the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 can continuously determine the speed of movement and relative position (to the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1) of each part of the vehicle's outer outline in the horizontal plane. For example, the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 can continuously determine the speed and position of the front end of the vehicle.

[0027] In this embodiment, the vehicle inspection system is used to determine, by means of an inspection by the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV, that the vehicle is beginning to enter an inspection area, and, by means of an inspection by means of the first horizontal plane laser inspection device LH1, to determine the position and speed of the vehicle within the inspection area in order to determine the time for the start of the vehicle inspection. By combining the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV with the first horizontal plane laser inspection device LH1, the speed of the vehicle, the position of the front end of the vehicle, and the boundary between the driver area and the driverless part can be determined in order to establish the position of the driverless part so that the beams do not strike the driver area, thus achieving an automatic bypass safety inspection. The advantage of this embodiment is that only two planar laser inspection devices are required for automatic bypass, and the devices are simple. Compared to the use of line-structured laser scanning and other sensor monitoring methods in the prior art, this is more accurate and provides more information, and the number of inspection devices used is significantly reduced.

[0028] In one embodiment, the vehicle inspection system further comprises a first viewing angle inspection device XV configured to emit rays from a first viewing angle toward the inspection channel and to inspect the rays that have passed through the vehicle to obtain information about the vehicle. For example, the first viewing angle inspection device XV may be an X-ray inspection device that emits X-rays and receives the radiation that has passed through an object to be inspected to obtain information about the object to be inspected. Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the first viewing-angle inspection device XV is depicted as a vertical viewing-angle inspection device that emits beams from above the inspection channel towards the inspection channel and receives radiation signals from below the inspection channel to obtain information about the object being inspected. The first viewing-angle inspection device XV can also be other types of inspection devices, such as a gamma-ray inspection device, a millimeter-wave inspection device (reflected signals), or other types of radiation inspection devices. In one embodiment, the first viewing-angle inspection device XV can emit beams at a specific angle to the vertical towards the inspection channel. In another embodiment, the first viewing-angle inspection device XV emits a fan-shaped beam for inspection.

[0029] In one embodiment, the first viewing angle inspection device XV and the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV are spaced apart by a first distance in the extension direction of the inspection channel. Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the first viewing-angle inspection device XV is arranged on the right side of the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV in the direction of extension of the inspection channel, and the distance between them can be preset or fixed; for example, the distance between the two is the first distance. According to this embodiment, the time at which the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV inspects that the driverless part of the vehicle begins to pass through the first vertical planar laser beam emitted by the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV is recorded. At this time, the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 detects the speed of the vehicle and monitors the position of the vehicle in real time. The first distance is divided by the speed of the vehicle to obtain a first predetermined time. Thus, the time at which the driverless part of the vehicle reaches the first viewing angle inspection device XV can be determined, so that the first viewing angle inspection device XV can be controlled to emit beams for inspection.

[0030] In one embodiment, the vehicle inspection system may further comprise a second viewing-angle inspection device XH. The second viewing-angle inspection device XH is configured to emit beams from a second viewing angle toward the inspection channel and to inspect the beams that have penetrated the vehicle in order to obtain information about the vehicle. In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the second viewing-angle inspection device XH can be an X-ray inspection device that emits X-rays and receives the radiation passing through the object to be inspected in order to obtain information about the object. In the embodiment shown in Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the second viewing-angle inspection device XH is depicted as a vertical viewing-angle inspection device in the direction of extension of the inspection channel. It emits beams from the first side of the inspection channel (the lower side in the figure, but which could also be the upper side) towards the inspection channel and receives radiation signals from the other side of the inspection channel to obtain information about the object being inspected. Similar to the first viewing-angle inspection device XV, the second viewing-angle inspection device XH can also be other types of inspection devices, such as gamma-ray inspection devices, millimeter-wave inspection devices (reflected signals), or other types of radiation inspection devices. In one embodiment, the second viewing angle inspection device XH can emit beams at a specific angle to the horizontal in the direction of the inspection channel. In one embodiment, the second viewing angle inspection device XH emits a fan-shaped beam for inspection.

[0031] In one embodiment, the second viewing angle inspection device XH and the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV are spaced apart by a second distance in the extension direction of the inspection channel. The second distance can be preset and retained after adjustment. In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the second viewing-angle inspection device XH is arranged on the right side of the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV. According to this embodiment, the time at which the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV inspects the driverless part of the vehicle and begins to pass through the first vertical planar laser beam is recorded. At this time, the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 detects the vehicle's speed and monitors its position in real time. The second distance is divided by the vehicle's speed to obtain a second predetermined time; that is, the time at which the driverless part of the vehicle reaches the second viewing-angle inspection device XH can be determined, so that the second viewing-angle inspection device XH can be controlled to emit beams for inspection. Fig. Figure 1 shows the second viewing angle inspection device XH on the right side of the first viewing angle inspection device XV in the direction of extension of the inspection channel. However, it should be understood that the second viewing angle inspection device XH can also be arranged on the left side of the first viewing angle inspection device XV.

[0032] According to this embodiment, the first viewing angle inspection device XV and the second viewing angle inspection device XH can be configured to irradiate the object to be inspected with beams from different angles, for example, from a vertical viewing angle from the top of the inspection channel and from a horizontal viewing angle of the inspection channel, in order to obtain more information about the object to be inspected and increase inspection accuracy. Note that a third viewing angle inspection device and a fourth viewing angle inspection device can also be provided if necessary. It is advantageous to measure and record the distances and movement times between the second viewing-angle inspection device XH and the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV, as well as between the first viewing-angle inspection device XV and the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV, separately. This allows for flexible arrangement of the relative positions of the second viewing-angle inspection device XH and the first viewing-angle inspection device XV.

[0033] In one embodiment, the vehicle inspection system can further comprise a second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2. The second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2 is arranged on the second side of the inspection channel. In the embodiment shown in Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2 is arranged on the upper side of the inspection channel and configured to emit a second horizontal planar laser beam in the horizontal direction and to receive reflected laser signals in the extension direction of the inspection channel in order to inspect the position and speed of the vehicle body. It should be noted that the second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2 can also be arranged on the first side of the inspection channel. The principle of the second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2 is similar to that of the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1. The second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2 emits a second horizontal planar laser beam to cover the inspection channel. As a vehicle approaches the inspection channel, it is illuminated by the second horizontal planar laser beam. The laser signals reflected by the vehicle are received by the second horizontal planar laser inspection device LH2 to detect the approaching vehicle and to calculate relevant data such as the vehicle's outline, speed, and position.

[0034] In this embodiment, when the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 detects that a vehicle is approaching, the vehicle inspection system enters a standby state. When the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 is not inspecting a vehicle, the vehicle inspection system is in an idle state. The arrangement of the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 is advantageous because it allows the vehicle inspection system to be kept in an idle state. For example, the radiation sources of the first viewing angle inspection device XV and the second viewing angle inspection device XH can cease supplying high voltage, which not only saves energy but also avoids safety risks from excessive heat generation during prolonged operation.Due to the advance warning provided by the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2, the first angle inspection device XV and the second angle inspection device XH have time to start up and warm up. The provision of the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 makes it possible to achieve automatic inspection of the vehicle inspection system.

[0035] Fig. Figure 2 shows an embodiment of a vehicle inspection system of the present disclosure. In this embodiment, the vehicle inspection system may also include a second vertical planar laser inspection device LV'. The second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' is arranged on the first side of the inspection channel, for example, the lower side of the inspection channel, and is configured to emit a second vertical planar laser beam and reflect laser signals in a direction perpendicular to the direction of extension of the inspection channel (for example, as in Figure 2). Fig. 2 from bottom to top) to receive signals to inspect the outer outline of the vehicle. It should be noted that the second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' may also be located on the second side of the inspection channel. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, in the direction of extension of the inspection channel, both the first and the second viewing-angle inspection devices XV and XH are arranged between the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV and the second vertical plane laser inspection device LV'. The second vertical plane laser inspection device LV' is spaced a third distance from the second viewing-angle inspection device XH and a fourth distance from the first viewing-angle inspection device XV.

[0036] The second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' emits a planar laser beam lying in a vertical plane, for example, a fan-shaped beam at a specific angle. The second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' is similar to the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV. An exterior outline of the vehicle can be constructed by emitting a second vertical planar laser beam as the vehicle passes through it. For example, the second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' can compare the constructed exterior outline of the vehicle with stored existing vehicle exterior outlines to obtain information about the vehicle, such as vehicle type, exterior dimensions, cabin dimensions, and cargo space dimensions. In particular, a boundary can be defined between a driver's area (driver's cab) and an undriver's area (cargo space) of the vehicle. In this embodiment, when a vehicle moves from the right side of the inspection channel to the left side of the inspection channel and passes through the second vertical planar laser beam, the second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' records the time at which the vehicle passes through it. At this time, the first horizontal planar laser inspection device LH1 begins to inspect the outer outline, speed of movement, and position of the vehicle.By recording the time at which the vehicle passes the second vertical planar laser beam, it can be determined that the driverless part of the vehicle arrives at the second viewing-angle inspection device XH after a third predetermined time, thus triggering the second viewing-angle inspection device XH to emit beams for inspection. The third predetermined time is obtained by dividing the third distance by the vehicle's speed. After a fourth predetermined time, starting from the moment the second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' inspects that the driverless part of the vehicle begins passing through the second vertical planar laser beam, the first viewing-angle inspection device XV emits beams to inspect the vehicle. The fourth predetermined time is obtained by dividing the fourth distance by the vehicle's speed. This allows the vehicle inspection system to automatically switch and perform an inspection regardless of whether the vehicle is approached from the left side (as in . Fig. 2) or enter from the right side.

[0037] In the Fig. 2, when the first vertical plane laser inspection device LV inspects that a vehicle is approaching, the vehicle inspection system is configured so that the first viewpoint inspection device starts first, and when the second vertical plane laser inspection device LV' inspects that a vehicle is approaching, the vehicle inspection system is configured so that the second viewpoint inspection device starts first. In this way, the vehicle inspection system can automatically switch between a "left-entry inspection mode"—in which the first viewpoint inspection device starts when a vehicle enters from the left—and a "right-entry inspection mode"—in which the second viewpoint inspection device starts when a vehicle enters from the right.

[0038] In one embodiment, the vehicle inspection system may further comprise a third horizontal plane laser inspection device LH3. In Fig.2. The third horizontal planar laser inspection device LH3 is located on the second (top) side of the inspection channel and is configured to emit a third horizontal planar laser beam in the horizontal direction and to receive reflected laser signals in the direction of extension of the inspection channel to inspect the position and speed of the vehicle body. The third horizontal planar laser inspection device LH3 is located in the direction of extension of the inspection channel on the opposite side of the second vertical planar laser inspection device LV' relative to the first vertical planar laser inspection device LV. It should be noted that the third horizontal planar laser inspection device LH3 can also be located on the first side of the inspection channel.

[0039] The third horizontal plane laser inspection device, LH3, is similar to the second horizontal plane laser inspection device, LH2. The third horizontal plane laser inspection device, LH3, detects that a vehicle is approaching the vehicle inspection system from the right-hand direction in the diagram, and the vehicle inspection system begins to enter a standby state. If the third horizontal plane laser inspection device, LH3, and the second horizontal plane laser inspection device, LH2, are not inspecting a vehicle, the vehicle inspection system is in an idle state.

[0040] When the third horizontal plane laser inspection device LH3 inspects that a vehicle is approaching, and the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 inspects a vehicle, the vehicle inspection system issues an alarm signal to indicate that two vehicles are entering simultaneously, and the vehicle inspection system is in idle mode.

[0041] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 and the third horizontal plane laser inspection device LH3 can determine the shape of the vehicle by inspecting its outer outline in the horizontal plane (compared to the outer outline stored in the database). It can also be determined whether the vehicle is at its rear, thus establishing whether the vehicle is moving in reverse.

[0042] The vehicle inspection system of the present disclosure allows vehicles to enter the vehicle inspection system from both the left and right sides of the inspection channel. By means of the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 located on the left side of the inspection channel and the third horizontal plane laser inspection device LH3 located on the right side of the inspection channel, the vehicle inspection system can automatically inspect vehicles approaching from either side of the inspection channel. This allows the system to automatically start from a standby state and automatically switch from inspecting vehicles moving from left to right to inspecting vehicles moving from right to left, thus making the inspection process convenient and fast.Furthermore, the vehicle inspection system uses fewer sensors, and the use of floor sensors and floor-mounted sensors, which are difficult to install, as well as magnetic sensors and other devices, is avoided, so that the vehicle inspection system can be set up and stowed quickly to achieve a rapid transition effect.

[0043] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method for inspecting a vehicle is provided, comprising performing an inspection on the vehicle using the vehicle inspection system described above.

[0044] In one embodiment, the vehicle inspection system starts a first inspection mode and prepares to inspect the vehicle passing through the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2, based on the second horizontal plane laser inspection device LH2 inspecting that the vehicle is moving towards the first or second viewing angle inspection device XV or XH.

[0045] The vehicle inspection system switches to a second inspection mode and prepares to inspect the vehicle passing through the third horizontal plane laser inspection device LH3, based on the third horizontal plane laser inspection device LH3 inspecting that the vehicle is moving towards the first or second viewing angle inspection device XV or XH.

[0046] This allows the vehicle inspection system to automatically or manually switch between inspection modes, enabling vehicles to enter the vehicle inspection system from any side for inspection, increasing the convenience and efficiency of the inspection.
