Abstract

A turbocharger comprises a shaft 7, a rolling bearing 60 comprising an inner ring 61 mounted on the shaft 7 and an outer ring 62 arranged around the inner ring 61, a housing 2 comprising a bearing hole 22 accommodating the rolling bearing 60 and a side wall 27 crossing the bearing hole, and a bearing holder 40 mounted on the side wall 27 and facing a side surface 62a of the outer ring 62, wherein a lower portion of the bearing holder 40 comprises a small radius region, wherein a distance r1 from a central axis of the shaft 7 to an outer edge 42 of the small radius region 45 is shorter than a distance from the central axis to an outer edge of other regions of the bearing holder 40, wherein the distance r1 of the small radius region is greater than a radius of the bearing hole 22 and less than or equal to a distance r3 from the central axis to an outer edge of a region, which faces the area with small radius 45, at the side wall 27.,

Claims

[1] Turbocharger that has: a wave; a rolling bearing comprising an inner ring mounted on the shaft and an outer ring arranged around the inner ring; a housing including a bearing hole accommodating the rolling bearing and a side wall crossing the bearing hole; and a bearing holder mounted on the side wall and facing a side surface of the outer ring, wherein a lower part of the storage holder comprises an area with a small radius, wherein a distance from a central axis of the shaft to an outer edge of the small radius region is shorter than a distance from the central axis to the outer edge of other regions of the bearing holder, wherein the distance of the small radius region is greater than a radius of the bearing hole and less than or equal to a distance from the central axis to an outer edge of a region facing the small radius region at the sidewall. [2] The turbocharger according to claim 1, wherein a portion of the outer edge of the bearing holder is press-fitted into the housing, and the small radius region is formed in a region not press-fitted into the housing in the bearing holder. [3] A turbocharger according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the small radius region comprises a tapered surface whose radius from the central axis decreases from a first end surface facing the side surface of the outer ring to a second end surface positioned on an opposite side to the first end surface.
